Bar Pub

😠 Good beer but the tall dark haired skinny barman called a customer a cruel name and you know what that was! How is that on? Fix your staff because this fella has issues and he needs to fix them before he's allowed out again People often mention staff, Great, atmosphere, good, friendly, great, nice, pint, Glasgow, prices,

I personally will not be ordering food in the pub. This is their salt & pepper chips. I believe the person who made these had never had salt & pepper chips! Raw red onion and yellow pepper, the powder (uncooked) was possibly black pepper mixed with five spice or star anise. Absolutely shocking!!!🤢

Went in for the Europa league final and arrived around 2:30pm which was 5 and a half hours before KO. It was busy already and a decent atmosphere was building. We stayed for about 2 hours but decided to leave as there clearly weren't enough staff on. We waited 45 minutes at the bar for a round and there didn't seem to be any order to how the 2 bar staff were serving. Some customers came to the bar and got served quickly but others were waiting ages. Probably just been unlucky and I'd try the place again to see if this was just a one off because of the occasion.

Nice and busy, cheep beers! But being in the hospitality industry myself the staff need to lighten up a bit! Customers are not all a**holes some are nice people!!

Great cheap pub if your a Smoker, Smokers stand in the doorway constantly, ordered a pint and asked the server if they were still serving food to be told you need to ask the boss? Surely all staff should know what time food is served until? Left him pouring the pint i ordered as he didn't have a clue and i wanted a pint and some food

Great location, very central in the heart of Glasgow for buses, trains. Staff were very friendly, welcoming, good selection of drinks and great prices, they do a small food menu which is value for money.

It was OK for a quick pint before the train, we sat outside so didn't see a great deal of pub in truth.

Terrible place, was good many years ago but new bar manager 2 years ago has destroyed what was a friendly nice bar. Used to visit it most days after work but would not give them my cash for the bad service and cheeky bar manager that is on a power trip. Hate the place.

Easily one of the best bars in Glasgow! Great staff and you will find a real mix of people drinking in here! A must for any out of town person to experience the real Glasgow! Plus when your offering £1 for a bottle or Tuborg then you canny go wrong!

Went in on Thursday at half 4 for food to be told the kitchen was closed. What pub stops serving food before 5? Menus were still on all the tables. Was told this by who I can only deem as the bar manager, older white guy with greying hair, quite tall.

Really good atmosphere. Football on and some good banter. Drinks not too dear and bar staff lovely. Great location for waiting on the train.

Rough as a badgers you know what. Went in for quick pint. Kicked off Glasgow style glasses flying about. Daft lasses standing in a bra and jeans set two guys against each other. Toilet was third world. Karaoke was drunken uncle style, not horseshoe bar pro style.

Had a lunch platter, chips, chicken straps, and vegetable pakora, it was 12.95p thought it was a bit over priced 10 pounds would have been right price as it was just a small portion between two. But the drink price was very good 1.99p for a pint of carlsberg will go back, also the staff are lovely.

Young boy wit the dark brown hair. Think he was new. Really good customer service. Liked the lady that was a bit older too with the blonde hair. Really nice staff and the booze is reasonable prices. Cheers xxx

Waited 40 mins for service, a mime and 3 buskers used the spot next to the pub and I've still not got my bev. The waiter slapped my child and didn't give me my change.

Very disappointed, I have been coming to the Toby Jug for years...i received a very bad pint and was shown the lime cordial bottle which was added to my beer, it actually resembled a witch doctors potion so i will give it a miss from now on! So many good bars in the city centre why waste your time with amateur bar staff who dont listen to their customers....

Haven't been back in Glasgow for quite a long time but Toby Jug is a real gem of a find. Affordable prices , unpretentious surroundings, friendly staff, good food AND it's bang in the centre of town beside Central Station. I'll be making a point of coming here again whenever I'm in Glasgow city centre.

Really cool city centre pub. Been a few times since it was renovated inside at the back and it's such a nice bar to chill in. 98p Tuborg's everyday of the week!!! ??? Food was lovely as well, had a hotdog and fish n' chips which were spot on. Some odd characters in now and again but apart from that everything good.
