Had a table booked for 8 people for my friends birthday, I was the first person there so I went down to the table and sat for a bit. After a while I was a bit concerned as to why nobody else had appeared and there’s no signal downstairs so I couldn’t text. I would’ve went upstairs but it was passed the booking time so if I did, the table most likely would’ve been taken by people, and I wasn’t going to leave my belongings there. Eventually, I asked someone to watch the table and went to get signal. After phoning my friend I had found out they were all knocked back despite being fully sober. When my friend said they had a booking the response from the bouncer was “a booking doesn’t guarantee entry” so what does then?? I sat for ages myself trying to keep the table and then couldn’t even enjoy my night. Everyone was really excited since nobody had been yet and we had heard how good it was. Don’t get me wrong the atmosphere and music was grand but the attitude from the bouncers was not. It was Saturday night and there was 8 of us so after all that we really struggled to go elsewhere. It more or less ruined the night out and the table had also been booked since JULY. Everyone is very unhappy about this.

Cool venue, decent music and good selection of drinks. Only downfall was the bar service which massively hinders the experience. In the 3 hours spent at the venue we managed to only get drinks on 2 occasions. Very understaffed. Bar staff look miserable perhaps an underlying issue with management or staffing. Reluctance to actually serve customers particularly towards the end of the night. Stood at the bar in plenty of time before closing and 10 minutes prior to last orders being announced. Rather than serving those customers in full force, staff scarcely continued serving as few customers as they could, and only approached us to notify that the bar was now closed, after waiting for 10 minutes. Would surely be kinder to actually serve the customers that were stood at the bar prior to last orders having waited a significant length of time to be served. Was looked at as if this was an unreasonable request when politely asked if we could still get served and was spoken to rudely. As someone who has worked in a fast paced bar for several years, I’d never expect to be spoken to in the manner I was. Customers should not be left feeling like a burden to the staff. Overall, a lovely venue with great potential it’s just unfortunate the night ended with a sour encounter.

I like what they've done with the place which used to be Bread and Butter and was quite run down. Now it's lively and nice, with high tables and stools, other lower tables, big bar, some tables outside too. Good cocktails! They have a wide range of beers and some cocktails on tap for only 7.50 which is great, including an Espresso Martini, very tasty. Live music on a Friday night was a bit too loud for us.

Absolutely shocking! I was with my friends - group of 10 girls(4) were allowed in and the other 6 who were boys weren’t allowed in. For absolutely no reason ! they hadn’t even spoke to the bouncer. They weren’t allowed purely because we were a group of 10 people. Absolutely disgusting. Will never be back

Cool little German bar hidden away in Glasgow City centre. It's located off Buchanan Street down one of the alleyways. Its at the back of the Ted Baker store. Venue is really funky and modern with a cool outside area with seats. They serve all sorts of draught and bottles of beer along with cocktails and food. Great little spot to have a drink through the day or night.

We had a table booked for 2:45pm on Saturday the 14th October. We got there 15 minutes early and got given a seat out the back until our table was ready for us. When it was ready for us on time we had been given the table however as soon as any of us went to the toilet all of our FULL GLASSES OF ALCOHOL JUST PAID FOR was taken from our table and poured out as if we were never there and had been told to pay the full price AGAIN for the drinks we had only just got given. Really disappointed considering the amazing stories and recommendations we had all been given for the place. Very disappointed sadly. (£20/30 spent so far within an hour if that)

Great venue, lots of drinks to choose from. Highly recommend as a good place to start your night out in Glasgow. I would advise you to book in advance as it does get busy.

In for a few drinks absolutely packed on at Saturday night, once got close to bar difficulty getting a round of drinks. Bouncers overly interested in where we’d been, dinner reservations so a supposedly quick drink.

Lovely little place. Singer/guitarist was awesome, sang and played a real mix of songs. Food was lovely albeit a little pricey. Would also say a little more choice/variety of food would be good. All in all a really good enjoyable experience and will be back :) Definitely worth a visit (although its hidden down a lane lol)

Great location when you are in town and looking for a quick drink or for a place to chill listening to some live music. Impressive choice of beer as well.

So impressed, went for the first time on a Thursday night and loved the vibe! Drinks were reasonable price and live music was great. Only complaint was music was maybe a bit too loud considering it’s sit down bar, (I quite like being able to chat) Definitely will be back!

It was an alright bar, I liked that it was hidden away and not on one of the main streets. The staff were nice and service didn't take too long even when the place was full. The singer who was playing was very good but a little too loud and it was difficult to hear people speak. The bar had a wide selection of drinks but after having 3 of the same they ran out of what I was drink, I would expect them to have a larger storage of the drinks so they didn't run out. One down side was I could only book the table for 2 hours so by the time I was just getting comfy, I was asked to leave to make space for the next party. I would go back.

Don’t go if you want your jacket stolen, rude staff and every single toilet blocked with no running water. Staff member said he moved our jackets to the cloakroom (without asking), cloakroom was empty. How can 3 big jackets just go missing and no one knowing anything about it? Of course, don’t try calling to review the situation.. straight to an answering machine.

Myself and my friends were in for a few drinks however I was in crutches as I had a broken leg! The manager came over right away to make sure I was okay and made me feel very welcome. One of the best services I have ever had in a pub! Brilliant night and excellent staff!

Nothing special apart from the selection of beers which were too expensive. The food was average at best. Good location though so I guess that's the reason for the beverage pricing. The staff were cool as is the decor. My griping is because we had to sit at the place where people smoke to have our grub. It wasn't nice as a non smoker.

Upgraded bar on the site of the old Bread and Butter. Diner menu burgers (10) Wings, Hot Dogs (from 7). Wide selection of bottled beers and 10 draught. Madri 5.50 pint.

👍👍 An excellent experience at Miller and Carter tonight. The food came out quickly and was so incredibly delicious - the steak was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping sauce was to die for! All steaks come with house fries they can up upgraded to chunky chips or sweet potato fried but we honestly...
