Enjoy the Sunday roast and comedy show deal. Lovely venue and a great atmosphere, and the service was good. The food was excellent. Entertained by 3 comedians who were very funny.

Poor service, dirty glasses that oddly taste of detergent, sticky tables, card only payment and stinks of rotten fish, can understand why most people sat outside, certainly won't be back, over average price for our drinks none of them finished 🤮

Had fish&chips with mushy peas, very nice, not cheapest I've had.Nice old style wooden panelled, through to bar.Outside seating, throw back from an older time, but in a nice way.Not an ear bashing in restaurant, due to old style wood panelling.Beer dear!!!£5.75 for a pint Birra Moretti, they are taking the"SMEG".

Read a review that their mac n cheese was the best in town, so had to come and try it for myself! Was NOT disappointed at all! Very good mac n cheese, great beers, and nice staff. Loved the outdoor seating vibes too

The service was very lacking, took 5 minutes to seat us, even though there were clean open tables. Then we had to approach the bar to order drinks and food. The staff were very polite and I don't think the lack of staff is their fault. When we did get the food it was universally enjoyed by our party of 5. Price is fair but it unfortunately didn't make up for the overstretched team. I will probably look elsewhere before I return.

Wonderful bar and restaurant, great seating arrangements , especially outside , it's more of a alleyway restaurant, hidden gems of Glasgow.

Pub was 50 years old when the to American War of independence started... Actually I think the newspaper is still in the rack

Absolutely abhorrent service tonight. Remi is completely exempt from this rating. The manager was absolutely awful. Advised my mate was unfit to have drinks, yet he had barely any drinks at all. The service and the way we were spoke to was appalling. The manager would not give me his name which made the whole ejection even more shady. An overall poor night for this once, great pub. Remi is usually the one that serves us and I made an effort to ensure we were still on good terms. But overall the service we had was dreadful. Avoid at all costs.

It's famous for its macaroni and cheese. Which ironically is ok but not earth shattering (a bit floury and dry). But it is a lovely old bar with helpful staff and a great vibe. Also has an amazing upstairs space that's caught in time. Definitely worth a look.

  • 5/5 Rhiannon W. 5 months ago on Google
Old reliable, town was hoaching and finding space anywhere was impossible so we headed to Sloans. As always there was plenty of space outside and the cocktails were delicious. Good value for money and the bar staff are always warm and friendly despite always being rushed off their feet.

Famous old Glasgow pub. Outside tables in the courtyard. Nice multi-room bar. Some rooms upstairs also ( with cinema show). Seemed to be loads of staff. Don't miss the tiled entrance and stair off Argyle Arcade.

  • 5/5 Amanda M. 4 months ago on Google
Absolutely stunning venue! Came for a couple of drinks and it was so busy but didn't feel too crowded. Lots of heated outdoor seating which kept the cold night at bay. Set up beautifully for the Christmas season - you have to come here after a day of shopping! And it's dog friendly so got lots of puppy cuddles while having a drink!

  • 3/5 Claire O. 8 months ago on Google
Good service. Limited menu for both food and drinks. Reasonably nice food but a little on the pricey side for what it was. Our simple order for a table of 2 was fine but a party of 7 seated next to us sent several things back.

  • 5/5 Charlotte G. 6 months ago on Google
We had a gorgeous lunch with our two dogs today. All staff were so polite and attentive. The place has great character, a warm and friendly atmosphere and a fantastic menu with specials too! Our two dogs were made a fuss of and given biscuits, which even our super nervous collie couldn't say no too. We sat in the cosy area near the bar that is dog friendly and felt so welcome and relaxed- as did the dogs. We would highly reccomend!

It is a great pub to hang, if you want to sit with friends and chill with beer and good food. The foods were delicious. As a feedback, Beavertown Neckoil is a great beer but they can expand the beer range with Glasgow's craft beers. All else awesome.

  • 4/5 Brian d. 4 months ago on Google
Really busy but didn't have to wait long for food. Friendly atmosphere, food really tasty & not too expensive. Sharing mac & cheese... Amazing.

  • 5/5 Colette 1 year ago on Google
Always our pitstop went visiting Glasgow. Excellent place for drinks. Nice chilled atmosphere, and able to sit outside undercover with heat lamps. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet drink.

Lovely atmosphere and super tasty chips(salt and pepper 🤤) but katsu curry chips were sweet and we didn't enjoy it.

Had the Steak pie. It was really good. The place was super crowded, probably because they give you an adequate sized good quality plate for a fair price. Absolutely worth it. Even the background music was awesome.

  • 3/5 Theofano T. 2 years ago on Google
Outside area is very cozy and has heaters available but the loud speakers next to the tables that constantly announce when food is ready for each table are very annoying.. and too loud.. dessert was nice but the coffee had no flavour at all..

  • 4/5 Aidan M. 1 year ago on Google
Nice decor inside with a good atmosphere. Food was delicious and really tasty, it was good value for money as well for a good portion size. Staff were friendly however we often had to ask multiple times for the same thing and even then it often wouldn’t come, not sure if it’s cause it was busy or if they just kept forgetting. However I would definitely recommend for a nice meal out.

  • 5/5 Janet K. 1 year ago on Google
Humongous portions! If you're looking to portion control, recommend you to half your food with a friend or partner :) that said, we thought ordering a pie and chili would suffice on this chilly day. Little did we know a chilli was actually a nacho chili 😂 (there goes our diet), it was delicious! Very good nachos, perfect for sharing. Shouldn't be located on the sides section :)

  • 3/5 Natalie M. 4 years ago on Google
Good food, however very small and always busy. Felt we were sat far too close to the table next to us.

(Translated by Google) A very nice place to have a drink, especially at night. Very sparse atmosphere and the best of the area. Variety of beers and at night make games in the lounge. The best thing is the outdoor patio. And it is well located (Original) Un lugar muy lindo para tomar algo, en especial a la noche. Ambiente muy escoses y de la zona lo mejor. A part of the fabric of Glasgow. We popped in on Sunday for musical bingo ( great fun) and won an eat / film voucher, woo hoo! Have been before to dine in restaurant, and the food was lovely. A great friendly atmosphere inside the pub and out, plenty of seating and heating outside. The music is always first class, whoever picks the tunes knows their stuff. A brilliant lively pub, we visit every time we are in Glasgow. Sloans, we love ya. ?❤️

My friend & I had the macaroni based on Google reviews, was good but not outstanding. Atmosphere nice ,staff friendly. Toilets could do with being updated . Outside is lovely for a warmer evening with lanterns & large umbrellas. Very pretty & the lane you walk through has something nice about it .

A historic proper old style Scottish boozer boasting an array of great real ales, malt whisky and gins, coupled with great service. I can also heartly recommend the steak and ale pie offered on their menu. When in Glasgow i always visit.

This bar is one of the most well known pubs in the city centre, and has existed for many generations of Glaswegians. It can be challenging to find, being sited down a side ally from Argyll Street. Once discovered, the old world charms, good beer and friendly atmosphere are worth the effort.

  • 4/5 anita l. 5 years ago on Google
This oldest bar is pretty laid back with a very cute courtyard area. Inside is like your regular pub until you walk upstairs where you can really see and feel the historical essence of the establishment. Drinks were good and prices are fair. There were only a few people in the entire bar when we arrived but by the time we left it was really getting filled up.
