Cocktails were lovely, but unfortunately waited around 15 minutes before our drinks order was taken, and then took another 10-15 minutes to get them. It was a busy night, but half an hour to get a drink is too long in my opinion.

Amazing food and atmosphere! The steak pie was absolutely delicious, big portion size as well! My friends also got fish & chips and nachos which were both 10/10! The menu has a good selection of food, the place itself is very cosy with gorgeous interior, really appreciate the music playing in the background as well. Definitely recommend this to anyone who prefers a quieter pub, can’t wait to try more things on the menu!

One of the best for a drink in Glasgow and ended up visiting a couple of times. Very friendly staff and good prices recommend for a drink, didn't try the food but the menu looks good too if I had time.

A very cozy pub with a wonderful atmosphere! Certainly a welcome refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city centre with its beautiful interior and friendly staff. If you'd like a quiet pub where you can sit and talk over pints, this is the place: I was extremely grateful that unlike most city centre pubs, the Drum and Monkey doesn't blast music that you have to shout over to be heard. Drinks were reasonably priced and pies were delicious with great vegan and vegetarian options. My only complaint is about the veg that came with the pie, which was clearly just frozen stuff that had been boiled/steamed. This didn't ruin the meal but definitely let us down a bit after the menu promised "chantenay glazed carrots" and what we were served was rather bland and mushy. This feels like a somewhat middle class complaint though so I'd like to emphasize that the pies were amazing and the rest of the menu looked great too!

We went here on our first night in Glasgow, Very clean and friendly. The food was first class for a pub. I had Haggis,Neeps and Tattie stack. I was very surprised as I never thought I would have liked haggis but it was well worth the wait. **** :-)

I would clasify this pub as a traditional one, it sits in a former bank and the interior is astonishing made mainly of wood and marble. They offer british food and many beers. I had a haggis, neaps & tatties with gravy and it was really good. I have tried to Scottish lagers, the second one Innis&Gunn was freshly poured from the tank. Good location, good atmosphere.

It's again a Nicholas bar and my favourite. They have Moor, Hopo and classic Nicholas place ale and Stewart 80/- , yard in cask ales and they have amazing draught even like Innis and Guns , Carling , their menu is also as always best , and Mac and cheese is ever green

food was amazingly delicious, my vegan/vegetarian lentil pie might have been the best thing i’ve ever eaten. there were also a group of fiddlers playing traditional music, a lovely bonus for a sunday.

My first time in Scotland and I chose this place to try Haggis, neeps and tatties as well as the sticky toffee pudding. The haggis was good, but it is not something I would go back for. The sticky toffee pudding was incredibly sweet, I wish I could've liked it more, but it was not bad! Food was overall good. I'm sure their other dishes are amazing here, hope to come back again someday!

Gorgeous pub in an opulent old bank. Lots of marble, dark wood and brass. High tables and back nooks, large bar with lots of great ales on tap. If you want high quality traditional Scottish food, this is the place!

Me and a friend were in Glasgow overnight for work and my friend wanted Haggis and Mash, so we asked about and were recommended the Drum and Monkey, it was close to the hotel so we gave it a go My friend got his Haggis and loved it, I have Garlic chicken and fries and very much enjoyed it, he had a pint and I had a cider, total was £32 so not bad, food was Haggis £10 Chicken £13 so drinks around £4,50 each, so for a central bar which not bad at all, also worth noting these days is that the bar felt quite classy and was not full of Tv's, only saw one which had the news on, would likely go back again if in Glasgow again

This historic venue (an old bank) is a beautiful setting to relax and have a delicious meal (or even an ale or 5). The lunch special (small meal and drink) is great value, or if that doesn't tempt you, one of the pies on offer should. Vegetarians are catered for, and apparently the pie was delicious. If you've got young-uns in tow, don't forget to ask at the bar for some crayons to keep them quiet(er), and also the kids menu. If it was a bit closer to home (unfortunately I'm from Australia), this would be a good 'local'.

Nice weekend pub - very clean and well kept. The architecture is a talking point with green marble columns and brass fixtures. The pub has a good choice of cask ales and a varied choice on tap. The menu is the standard Nicholson's Scottish variant with the in house speciality being pies.

I've been coming to this place for years. It's great. An excellent selection of beers and spirits. Knowledgeable staff. The food is good. It attracts a sensible crowd. And it's in a central location. I will keep coming back. Definitely recommended.

Great service and friendly staff. We had the Game pie and Toad in the Hole with a large side of Onion rings. The main meals were tasty and hit the spot. However the Onion rings were a little over done and oily as a result the flavour suffered. Nice and cozy pub to rest your feet after a long day exploring Glasgow. Would definitely recommend.

The Drum & Monkey in St Vincents Street is a traditional style pub, with a friendly atmosphere. It has an excellent oaken antique bar which twists and meanders through the bar area and matching tables and chairs. The stucco ceiling and columns are also ornate and featureful and also with well positioned chandeliers giving this bar a quality feel. The drinks were not too expensive, well worth a visit.

Inadequate manager. We passed by this place with my teen son and I had to send him to hotel because it was after 8pm. In 2 mins manager came to my table and said they cant serve me because i have been seen in a company of a person below 18yo in bars premices. What an idiotism. PS. Check the owners' reply. They cant even read or understand! I wrote that i - adult person was not served. They reply me about 18yo policy. Totally switched off

Ok social distancing but could be improved. Some tables the backs of your chairs were almost touching. Not a great selection of ciders but a better choice of vodkas so went with that most of the evening. Spiral staircase to the toilets is something I don't like but not much choice besides installing a lift due to space. Staff were good at remembering your last round and we're pleasant and helpful. Would have preferred when putting your drink on the table if they didn't lift the glasses from the rim. I watched them collect the empties by putting their fingers in the glasses to carry more which was a bit off putting when they brought your drinks over afterwards. I did see them clean their hands but wasn't paying attention on every occasion. Nice touches having the city motto around the bar.

Excellent bar in the middle of Glasgow's city centre. I have never had a bad pint in all the time I've been coming to NYC. Food is fantastic, particularly the hot wings. So from the outside it looks like nothing special, we walked inside and got told we can sit anywhere thats amazing in its self then I had the oreo milkshake tasted amazing just like oreos, then my starter I had jalapeños and cheese bon bons, they had a crisp shatter to the batter the cheese oooses out in to your mouth and then you feel the warm sensation of the jalapeños in your mouth amazing, my main was empire burger that consisted of 3 quarter pounders 3 cheeses coldslaw pulled pork and a fried egg, my side was stealth chips that I think had camermelised onions and garlic sauce bacon, cheese and herbs 🌿 5 out of 5 stars 100% recommend this place.

Food and drinks were nice for the price! If I could I’d give 3.5 stars tho as they asked for a £5 deposit for a large skeleton glass in which one of their cocktails is served in. Never ever came across a policy like this before. One of the waitresses was also a bit rude in our response when we asked her for recommendations.. but honestly apart from those things it was a decent night.

I love this place! The food was amazing even though I think the pie was a bit small, but still very tasty! It's a very busy place so at some point we had to move tables because the people standing at the bar got very loud and were very close to us. I was a bit disappointed by the vegetables and with the place being that busy we had to wait 45 minutes for food. We also had to change our initial order because a lot of things were not available.
