Was very disappointed with the quality of food received, chicken was very overcooked and wasn't very kind on the pallet. The bread wasn't up to standard, don't think I've ever been served a pan bread outsider, take it that was the last of the bread as it was a touch on the stale side. Barmaid never even asked why the chicken had been just cut up and not eaten! I'm hoping this pub had a wee off day food wise. If I hadn't been eating it would probably have received a five as it had a lovely atmosphere and the decor was lovely.

you need to read the descriptions carefully. we were a party of two couples for dinner. This place is more suitable for large group, a girls night out or for a younger party crowd. the music was loud and was a bar/party environment. the food was good but it is part of a chain. the other couple had eaten lunch at a different restaurant, but it was the same menu. It was a great place, if I was 20 years younger.

Excellent pub. Friendly staff and manager. Good selection of drinks and plenty of TVs for sports. Good set up. Smoking area is good for smokers i personally am not a fan (don't smoke) but for smokers its great idea. Toilets could do with a bit of a tidy/clean/freshen up, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Good spacious pub, reminds me of the horseshoe bar. Clean with attentive staff. Cocktails on draught

Not so great. They have a beer on their menu and when ordered they say they don't offer it any longer. Then take it off! Ordered nachos and what we got was a bowl of spicy Doritos with leathery cheese that looked like it was melted on two days ago. I won't go on, just don't bother.

Wonderful ambiance in their private suite for any function. Buffet food was very good and there was a well stocked bar manned by nice, friendly staff. Service was excellent throughout the night.

Had a day out with friends for Xmas afternoon, and football. The staff were brilliant, didn't wait long to get served, although the pub was busy. Had a chicken katsu burger, beautiful, thoroughly recommended. If you are in Glasgow doing your shopping, pay a visit, brilliant pub, brilliant staff and excellent food. Also very handy for Central station.

Busy pub and we've been very lucky to get seating the last few times we've been here, although it's been in the wee smoking area. (Although none of us smokes anymore). Male toilets smell awful but I can understand with the volume of people that must pass through here in a day. Not a bad selection of beer/lager and competitive prices.

Great pub been going for years with same group of friends and never dissapointed. We always have something to eat and some drinks . The staff and management are really friendly and helpful and we will be returning soon. One of Glasgows top pubs 👍

Decent pun, good choice of beers. Busy bit not too loud. Food available and room downstairs for functions. Centrally located, perfect for meeting before going on later.

Had a lovely lunch in here. The waiter was full of banter and went above and beyond for us. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Great pint of Belhaven best for me. Great choice of Gin for my Good lady. Had Great traditional Steak pie feed....of which was a great sized portion. Friendly staff. Overall a good choice of pub for us.

Had a wee Christmas night out here with a few colleagues from work. What a great atmosphere and great food. Staff and manager were all extremely friendly and looked after all of us. You won't be disappointed if you pop in here for food and a great night out. It is also very handy for Central train station. I am planning on returning with my family for another great night.

Such ashame the gents toilets have been left in such a bad state. A really nice old school pub. Staff covered the beer taps with cling film claiming it was to protect the taps from fruit flies which suggests it's not a clean environment. Was playing the football. I'm a football fan so good for me..

Was there on a Saturday night , had left a pub early due to over crowding went to this pub where their was more space , atmosphere was pleasant , the choice of beers were better and as a malt whisky man the gantry was well stocked. Like the horse shoe bar detail , and the staff were on the ball. Will be visiting again to try more of the malts , handy for trains and buses.

Popped in yesterday evening with 2 friends and although the place was busy, the staff were friendly and attentive. Full covid compliance was evident and there was a great atmosphere. Great pub just two minutes away from central station. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Glasgow. 😊

Good points, Bad points....great pub & staff, clean, attentive staff, large 35ml measures...but the steak pie?? Very tasty, but wouldnt feed an infant, its the smallest steak pie I have ever seen...5 bits of steak, under the smallest bit of pastey! C'mon greene king, play the game, shockingly poor quantity of pie, fir over £12 ??? I certainly wouldn't recommend this place to eat....very poor, can do much better!!

Amazing place! Definitely recommend comming here. Very good food, nice drinks and amazing staff! We really enjoyed it there and we got great recommendations for our stay in Glasgow. Great pub with an amazing selection in both food and drinks. Loved the strawberry cider and the ale, and the steak pie was delicious. Danny took care of us for the whole meal and the homely atmosphere was superb.

We book a regular function here so are a little biased but the bar staff are genuinely awesome with us. Helping us out with the weirdest requests but also being lovely when we interact as normal punters. Honestly brilliant bar.

Excellent boys day out to watch the footie and racing. Girl who served us was fantastic and had great banter all day. It was a restricted menu yesterday so that's the only reason food is a 4 but what we had was really good. Excellent welcoming pub.

I have visited this pub on many occasions in both the bar and in the function suite over the last 10 years and have never had any problem, quite the opposite. This bar does attract regulars, and it's understandable why you feel part of a wee family environment from the vibe in the upstairs bar. I attended a special anniversary event and could not give enough praise to everyone involved. It was a fantastic night, and the function suite was very creative it looked like a wedding or something, and the flashing dancefloor was my highlight. The food served is mouth melting, with great choice. I suspect the head chef Boab sprinkles some magical dust over his dishes his food is addictive and well presented. Delicious menu and fantastic value, sadly, no secret recipes were shared by Boab. Stevie, the DJ in the functions is a superstar and plays music for all ages, for all ages, my 4 year old grandaughter can testify to that one. the atmosphere is so relaxed, strangers become instant friends. Again, friendly, attentive staff at the bar, too many to mention, Debbie, Laura, Danny, Victoria, James to name a few but they are all warm, friendly, and eager to please. Jen wrote an amazing poem about the pub. You can see it in photos. It was such a great read ,it's just funny because you know it's all true. The smokers outdoor area is just a fantastic gem of a place. It's outside with an indoor feel with planting and high stools, and good old santiser, of course - you're best to go in and just see it for yourself hard to describe it;  it has open umberellas above to catch rain, you have 4 shielded walls, doors, wall heaters, TV screen, glass window facing inside the pub - smoker or non, everyone just mixes well, it's just a traditional wee pub in city centre and easy access to train links, try a lunch or dinner (book prior as it's always busy) and make enquiries if you are interested in more details of their function packages (order meal before 8pm).

Not a family friendly place despite being able to make bookings for children to attend. Made a booking for 2 adults and 2 children for dinner on the website and was called on the day of to advise that children aren’t allowed in the place. Not the staff member who contacted me’s fault (or any of the staff of the actual place) but shouldn’t be an option online if they can’t accept families. Had to find somewhere else on a Saturday evening at very short notice. Edited to add that I have contacted Belhaven to advise of this issue.

Cracking wee bar with great service. Prices where ok and food was good enough. There are enough televisions to watch whatever sport is on. I would definitely come back here. Usually plenty of space to hang around the bar and there was plenty of seats available for our group of. Definitely one to try if looking for a different bar to drink in.

Brillaint pub. Staff are super friendly and a great choice of food and drink. Such an amazing atmosphere and in a great location right next to Central Train Station! Recently attended for a function and the function room was amazing! Super spacious and plenty room for decorations etc too. Would definitely recommend anyone to book here for an event!

Recently visited the pub and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The food was outstanding, with fresh ingredients and a menu that offered both classic pub fare and innovative options. The atmosphere was cozy and stylish, with just the right amount of music to create a lively vibe. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the drink service was top-notch, with an impressive selection of beers and cocktails. From start to finish, it was flawless. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Thanks. I will definitely return.

The Rhoderick Dhu is a great traditional pub, lots of drinks on offer and reasonable prices. Very busy early in the night but quiet later.

Nice bar usually very busy especially at weekends. Good for football and other sports. Smoking section in the back. Beer is decent, so is the prices for a city centre pub. Although it's busy, the service is quick! Staff very attentive

My friend and I purposefully chose this bar as there is an advertisement outside advising that it will show the autumn internationals. In addition, ALL the fixtures are advertised inside on posters. After spending on alcohol and ordering lunch, when I asked that one of their many TVs could show the rugby, the staff said no. We only went in there because it clearly advertised that it showed the rugby!! Disappointing, an absolute waste of money.

Nice pub. Ordered 3 Meals and only 2 came. Waited 30 minutes and friend never received any food. Wasnt charged for 3 meals but girl asked us 3 times at the bar what we had ordered and even wrote it down. Even gave us 3 knifes and forks? Conclusion was not paying attention, as I could tell what the girl was doing from chatting to other members of staff, ie working the bar and then door from 5pm . Was given my friends meal for free and pint, which should have been given with me deal. Just too busy for food guys.
