I absolutely love going to The Lauders pub as it has really nice, friendly and chatty staff. I have to say the Irish sausage and colcannon meal was so beautiful and I hoovered it all. Green veg was perfect and sausages were well cooked on a charred grill. I am so sorry I forgot to say goodbye and thank the chef for a delicious lunch. Being Irish you cooked it too perfection. Thank you, thank you! X

Service was great. Lovely cup of tea. I had bacon and egg bap. I asked for burnt bacon and burst egg. Which I got. It was amazing. Hubby got a hearty breakfast. Soft eggs just the way he likes them. No complaints. Would reccomend. Now with unlimited tea. What more could you ask for.

Had a wee lunch with a friend in here. They had a great offer of a meal and drink for around £7. I had a steak and cheese sandwich and a glass of wine. The sandwich was great, a huge portion. Service was great and it was great value for money. Highly recommend.

Always been a fan of this true Scottish “boozer” in the heart of Glasgow, but on Tuesday last I had the lovely experience of being served by Ruth and it’s made me appreciate it even more. To say she made our night is an understatement. My stomach still hurts from laughing. Great attention to detail and always felt like valued customers. Thank you Ruth, we will be back!

Lovely surprise! This place is great for a proper English breakfast. We had 1 mega breakfast between two people, and it was the perfect amount of food. Staff is nice and the venue is cozy and clean. In summary, a great choice!

Went in on Sunday evening travelling back from Edinburgh had a few glasses of red. It was quiet inside but they now have an outside seating area that was quite busy. The staff were busy cleaning and restocking prices were very reasonable and still serving food

Lovely bar with friendly staff and relaxed environment. Ordered a classic meat mix and salad to share for couple. Asked an advice for a local bear, everything was good and tasty. Finished with good local whiskey also advised by the girl served us.

Open from 9am, The Lauders is a great stop off for breakfast. I'm generally not one for fried breakfasts, but the food at The Lauders was a real treat. The great thing is with the Irish breakfast there's the option of ordering a small, medium or large depending on your appetite and workload. Originally it was the result of a word of mouth recommendation and the fact that they had white pudding which I'd never tried made me visit in the first place, but the combination of everything in that breakfast was wonderful, especially the sausages and bacon. A great pick me up.

Our server Heather was extremely helpful around my allergies. Took a great deal of time to explain the menu and help choose a suitable item. Also, huge thanks to the kitchen staff Mujo and Adam for their thoughtfulness on catering for my allergies. I'll certainly recommend Lauders and be back. Thank you!

We were in for breakfast after staying at a hotel nearby that couldn't cook the breakfasts we'd pre ordered because there was nobody to cook it (not really good enough). The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very nice, hearty, big breakfast. Reasonably priced too. The pub was spotless. So, as far as a place to get a breakfast I couldn't fault it.

Lucky to get a table in this popular venue. Excellent value meal for the money, cheery atmosphere, quick service. Would definitely recommend for lunch in Glasgow. Set us up for an afternoon of Christmas shopping.

Wanted some good food and a pint Didn't disappoint, freshly cooked beer battered haddock n chips and ice-cold pint plus chicken wrap n large cola for £15,was quite busy but we were served very quickly, super friendly staff

Set in Glasgow, very easy to get to from city centre via the underground system. Takes about 15 minutes, then it's out of the station and a 6 minute walk to the ground. Plenty of food vendors around, access to ground easy using ticket qr codes on your phone. Standard of football doesn't match the ground, parts of the crowd were more entertaining.

Single person (female) enjoying the atmosphere/service/food at lunchtime. Opted for the fish and chips and what an I say…. it was gorgeous!. Large fillet covered in a light batter/ creamy moist melt-in the mouth delight. Best quality fish I’ve eaten in a while. Thanks Lauder’s staff.

Food was lovely, both my friend and I had the lunch deal, great value for money, arrived quickly, my friend had the ham and cheese panini and was made with good quality thick ham and I had the fish and chips, the fish was lovely and tasted fresh. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning felt like it was on and was quite chilly, but apart from that everything was great, staff couldn't have been more lovely, thank you 😊

Been a regular in lauders for several months now and have always had great service and great food. Came in recently having not been in for a while and didn't see the regular friendly faces behind the bar at lunch time. I was greeted by a rude gentleman behind the bar who informed me that there would be no table service after I asked for a tab as I always have, when I asked why I got the reply 'nobody likes change around here', I paid for my food and drink and left after I got that response and I won't be back.

Come here couple of times a month ...usually great service However today Friday my wife stood at bar for 5 minutes and didn't get served so went to other side of bar only to be told "you won't get served standing there which was the end of a queue.woman said she was trying her best but attitude stank...so just left Funny how owners only respond to good reviews ... Why don't you pass this on to staff involved?????

After a day in Glasgow my wife and I ended up in this bar for ' one for the road ' . Good selection of spirits and beers on offer. Again, like many bars in Glasgow the staff were very friendly. Prices in here are very reasonable.

A really enjoyable dinner experience. I'm not normally one for posting reviews but I wanted to take the time to leave some well deserved feedback for the hard working staff. Was looking for somewhere in town to take my. Daughter to celebrate her exam results and due to the pandemic most places were fully booked. We took a chance and went into town anyway hoping to find somewhere last minute. We arrived at Lauders having been turned away from a few places previously as we had no reservation. The friendly staff member greeted us at the door and as I explained we were looking for a table to have a bite to eat to celebrate. The male staff member found us a quiet table and told us we have the table for as long as wee need. At a time when these pubs rely on quick turnover in trade, this really showed they care about repeat custom. There wasn't t a huge menu but plenty variety to meet anyone's palette. The food itself was delicious. It arrived quickly and was perfectly cooked. My daughter isn't one for vegetables (she gets that bad habits from me :)) but she enjoyed every bite of her meal as did I. Through our whole meal the staff was always attentive bit not imposing making sure we were happy with out meal. Even afterwards when there was a slight issue with our bill when I spoke to the staff member they couldn't have been nicer and happier to help. Over all at a time of uncertainty during covid-19 for many, this establishment felt like a safe haven from all the current worries. Thanks to the great staff food and service, I was able to create a nice lasting memory for my daughter and I to celebrate her great results. Thanks again and I will certainly be returning soon.

Useful city centre pub for a reasonably priced drink. Clean place with a good set of drinks available as well as a food menu. TVs and the like if you are looking for that sort of distraction. Staff we very attentive, polite and made us feel welcome.

Great Glasgow pub. Pity about the 2 middle aged Gents next to our table who could not have a sentence without a swear word in it. I blame the schools. I do get annoyed when my wife is with me. Good menu looked good value. We will definitely try next time in Glasgow. Bar staff very friendly..

Staff were very friendly and handling social distancing even though dealing with some people were challenging it. They handled it very well. Drink prices were reasonablish, alot cleaner than it used to be. Small tvs in individual booths which was nice.

First time in since the renovation and Fire at neighbouring building. It's an OK place, if a tab pricey, but on a plus point, the guys toilet doesn't involve a decent/ascent on fairly steep stairs

  • 4/5 jean p. 3 years ago on Google
Food great staff very friendly my only concern is have they done enough to protect the public against the corona virus as when going down or leaving the ladies toilets there's no hand sanitizer

Visited on Saturday 3/8 after booking on 30th July. I had to get a link sent to phone to pay the deposit. I called the pub to say I hadn’t received the link yet and a female answered and gave me her “takes of woe”!!! She said “I have to try and answer the phone and serve people, I am also trying to reply to 50 emails blah blah blah”. I hope to god I don’t speak to my customers like she did because I too am adjusting to the “new normal” and replying to emails etc. It wasn’t until the next day that I notice I didn’t get the deposit I paid for 2 deducted from our bill (£10). Garlic bread were and pizza “as dreh as a stick” but better than nothing.
