Went here for tea with wife and parents, decent seats upstairs at window, great atmosphere in pub for a Tuesday evening, alcoholic drink with every meal, under 10 pounds per head, 😀 food was cooked well and tasted good 3 of us having fish chips and peas i had bread andbutterwith mine only got 1 tub of butter for 2 slices, and one spicy chicken strips with a bbq jd sauce nice and tangy, had 3 drinks each plus a woo woo cocktail and a zombie cocktail, although cheap tasted good zombie was better, 1 bad thing was a fork that hadn't seen soap for a while, would ho back here again ordered everything through the app drinks and food at table in no time good service good staff.

I don't like leaving a bad review. But this place is a dump. Table wasn't cleaned. Guy who served me.looked like he didn't want to work there. We ordered fish & chips My wife's arrived cold & my fish was solid hard to cut so I didn't attempt to eat it. Manager was friendly and helpful.wouldn't return.

Came in today, sat down with my partner at table 71, after waiting 20 mins at a dirty table, and trying to order from the bar, and asking to have table cleaned nicely, We waited a further 15 mins, and had to ask again for someone to clean table and serve us. the bar staff actually avoided the table twice, when going round cleaning other tables!, because it was so messy from the last customers! first time I have ever had any issues in a JD Wetherspoons bar, and I have been in a lot of them. Shocking service, although the food and drinks were quite nice. The customer service and cleanliness let this experience down today. 😔☹

Food basically uncooked. Not one member of staff asked about the meal. We'll yea get what yea pay for. Seriously not a good place to eat. Toilet is a discrace pee all over the floor. The time on the cleaning status was 3pm. I used the toilet at 7.15 pm. So not been cleaned for up to 4 hours. Totally unacceptable for a buzy pub no wonder. Covid is on the rise... Hand sanstier empty. So had to use toilet paper to open the door.

The restaurant is quite pretty, the food nice and they have many different beers. But BE CAREFUL, my BAG with my laptop and passport WAS STOLEN when I was having dinner there. They have many cameras and It was possible to watch It later (It was done by the people from the next table), but of course, It was too late to catch the thieves. They were very friendly helping me later to report It to the police... But as I said, be careful if you go there because very good thieves are around.

I visited The Crystal Palace, Wetherspoons in Glasgow a few times, especially with my partner, and it's a very charming pub where you can get both food and drinks. 😊 We enjoyed visiting on a weekday, and our experience was delightful from start to finish. This pub, nestled in the heart of Glasgow, holds a rich history that adds a unique dimension to its allure. Designed by John Baird, it stands as a testament to Glasgow's architectural heritage, inspired by Joseph Paxton's monumental Crystal Palace, a marvel of the 1851 Great Exhibition. The iron and glass construction, reminiscent of Paxton's masterpiece, takes you on a journey through time as you savour your meal. 🏰✨ We decided to start our day with breakfast, and it was delicious. The fact that The Crystal Palace is a Wetherspoons establishment was a reassuring sign of excellent food at a great value, a hallmark of this renowned chain. 🍳☕ One of the standout features that both my partner and I adored was the presence of the original lift system, a piece of history that adds a unique charm to the place. Not every day you get to enjoy your meal while surrounded by such historical elements. 🚇🏛️ While there weren't a lot of staff on hand during our visits, the convenience of being able to order through their app more than made up for it. The modern technology seamlessly integrated with the pub's historical ambience, creating a one-of-a-kind dining experience. 📱🍽️ Would recommend people to visit!

This pub is a very vast area with many seats available. However, the toilet need some TLC, especially in this day and age of coronavirus, you'd think that there will be consistent cleaning of the toilet. It was disgusting to see all these used toilet rolls damp in the sink and you're in all on the floor.

(Translated by Google) For those who are from outside the country I recommend it for its varied menu of food, drinks and in a beautiful place. You order at the bar and they fill your food to the table. (Original) Para los que son de fuera del país se lo recomiendo por su carta variada de comidas, bebidas y en un sitio bonito. Great experience here on a recent visit to Glasgow. As you’d expect for a Wetherspoon’s the food is decent and relatively cheap. Compared with other places we had had a drink at , this place was far cheaper. In fact we stayed on after our meal and had a few more drinks seeing as it was our last night in the city. It was a Monday evening, so was fairly quiet. Seemed clean and service was quick.

Easy to get to. Prompt seated, and great service from the waitress. Food was served quickly, well cooked. The ham and eggs particularly well done, and the portion size just right. Great place for a reasonable bite at the start of a nigjt out in Glasgow.

Great atmosphere, nice people around, friendly and helpful staff. Also very good food with fair prices. What more can you ask for?

Service was very good and very fast, not too loud or crowded on a Sunday night. The food however - I did order a rather plain burger but still, it was the saddest plate of burger and chips I’ve ever seen. The chips were bland and tasted like they’d been frozen and then microwaved. G&T was lovely but I suppose it’s hard to mess that up 🤣

Great place to go for catching up with family/friends. Bonus that is very central for bite to eat & a drink after a busy day shopping or if it's your meet up place for a few drinks before moving on to other bars & clubs. Even though it was busy ( Saturday night after the old firm game ) my friends & I got our food & drink very quickly. Even better that we were able to stay at our table & do our ordering on the app. Staff were friendly & efficient. Highly recommended!! 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me

Great quality breakfast at a reasonable price. So glad to find a place that offers a simple and hearty porridge with the option for extra toppings.

Wetherspoons in lovely old building. Two floors, so quite large. No-one at the bar as customers all use the app. Standard food and prices. Good for a short stay but a little cold at the large glass windows.

Mostly always busy and has a good friendly atmosphere. Speedy service using the app. Speedier than queueing at the bar. I recommend the Doom Bar! Fish and chips is always great if you're looking for a quick, tasty and reasonably priced meal too.

Mad busy. Our food came before our drinks. But we did get a table upstairs so it's worth looking up there if downstairs is full. This was on a Friday night around 5pm. Always use the App to order - it's a lot quicker. Bars were 3 deep in people.

Was absolutely mobbed when I went in lol got ID at the door despite being 36 😎 managed to get a table and ordered drinks and food expecting a wait but arrived within 15 minutes and obviously freshly made. Beautiful 😍. Staff were great

Wetherspoons is known for being the place to get your cocktail picture so when they, on 2 separate occasions now, have turned round to say they are unable to serve the cocktail pitchers is very disappointing. Measurements should be the same regardless of ice (which I'm guessing was the issue?) Staff weren't the most friendly when it came to taking orders; made me feel like an idiot for asking for items they recently ran out of (a recurring theme of it being under prepared). When asked to suggest a similar alternative they said "just look at the menu" then served other people.

We were on vacation in Scottland and came everyday to Crystal Palace for breakfast. The food was great, the staff - kind and the prices more than affordable. In the evening you can grab a burger and pint of beer for just 6 £! Not to mention than the interior looks really amazing 🤩 Highly recommend!

Cannae beat a spoons sometimes and this one is particularly good because it can be for a whole variety of clientele. Upstairs for families during the day and pre drinks later on. And downstairs for those who enjoy a bit of the football on the telly.

It's old Spoonie's; great value, for tourists, don't dwell eat up, very busy, up stairs quieter. To avoid Yahoo's, spread out, plenty space. But seriously where would we be without them, so goodbye and thank you for all the fish.Upstairs social distance, bags of room.

The Crystal Palace is a short walk away from Glasgow central station, making it ideal for a quick pint after work or for pre drinks. Set over two huge floors it is massive and has plenty of seating. The staff are friendly and the service is relatively quick however it can get quite busy!

  • 1/5 AJ T. 4 years ago on Google
Unfortunately been here a lot. The service hasn't improved in years. Waiting time for a pint at the bar is usually about 30 minutes any day any time of the week. Mostly just a typical Spoons pub with average food if they ever get it to you. The only decent thing about this place is that it's near the O2

  • 3/5 Paul D. 5 years ago on Google
Central Wetherspoons pub, can get busy. Mixed bag of people, from tourists to locals, to oldies and youngsters. Works well. Good value for a city centre pub. All housed in a very historical and ornate building... Worth a try, just maybe to get your own experience?

Great pub if you want to lose the feeling of time and even space. Your time gets dilated and you might even contract. You will make good old Einstein smile. Buses home are across the road and you can even see their arrival times from the pub if you are an eagle and alcohol has not reached your cornea yet?
