We came to this place for lunch and left extremely satisfied. The interior is tastefully decorated, felt very cozy and warm. We ordered the 3-course market menu and it was a lot for both of us. We had to take some of the food home. Everything was delicious and just the perfect amount of flavor. The market menu offers a great variety of dishes to try: We started with the soup and the goat cheese, then had our main plates: the chicken and the venison stew. Both were great and very filling, and it was so much food we had to take some home. Lastly, we got this amazing toffee bread pudding with a side of ice cream. It was to die for, so good and tasty. Would definitely recommend coming here for lunch. The beer selection is good and the whiskey choices were also plentiful.

A great find in the city, Ardnamurchan is a Scottish restaurant tastefully decorated in an authentic, yet not overstated way. There is plenty of car parking nearby at the Hope Street multi storey. The restaurant is located right across the road from the Theatre Royal in Glasgow - do you could always make a night of it. I had to amend my booking twice, and both times this was done quickly and accurately. We were seated near to the kitchen so we could see the action live. We had a three course lunch for £20 each and it was excellent hearty Scots foods - all the favourites like local scallops, venison stew, Cullen skink or cranachan. There was no attempt to pass out over fancy food, just good honest cooking at a price that was welcome. I’m also pleased to report that the staff on this Saturday afternoon were efficient and friendly. We had four different coffees brought to us without any mistake, and all done to perfection. Allergies and intolerances were effectively dealt with. The chef made a separate special sauce to cater for a minor onion intolerance - a detail that was not missed by this reviewer. At no time were we pressurised to finish up. Nor we we badgered needlessly by staff asking if everything was to our satisfaction. Another nice touch was that we were allowed space to choose our drinks to complement the food we were ordering. The atmosphere was congenial and private. Nice and easy to talk. Recommend this restaurant - absolutely. It’s one of these places that could become a favourite.

Me and my family had a wonderful evening here celebrating my graduation! The goats cheese crostini starter was so good and the steak was phenomenal ☺️ Everyone who served us was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Loved it!

Absolutely amazing Scottish food! Friendly and helpful staff, delicious meals, great choice of drinks. For someone who wasn’t familiar with Scottish food - the place and menu was a much needed discovery. I would certainly recommend and would love to visit again when in Glasgow.

Very pleasant place to visit for delicious food, serving some tasteful local recipes. The meal was excellent, the drinks very pleasant too and the staff lovely. The selection of whiskeys was very well appreciated! Bathrooms were a bit hard to find. There seems to only be a disabled one, which was of course completely fine.

Stopped in for dinner hoping for a seat. Lucky got a high top, which we prefer anyway. Had some delicious soup, and delicious venison dishes. Venison stew and venison pave.

We booked here a couple of days prior to our visit & I'm pleased we did. A very busy popular restaurant. Our service from entry was fantastic, staff are very attentive, friendly & polite. The food arrived quickly & each course was beautifully presented. The starters & mains tasted as good as they looked, absolutely delicious. My partner had the sticky toffee pudding & she said it was pretty good, I had the tiramisu & unfortunately it wasn't the best, don't get me wrong it wasn't awful, it was just 'okay' & after such a lovely meal just felt a little deflated or heavy & flat to finish. We would definitely return here when in the area again as overall the food & service was very good.

I am so glad we found this place. It was honestly one if the best meals we've had in ages. We had scallops, mussels and haggis for starters (we couldn't choose!) Then venison and cod with black pudding mash. Staff were super helpful and service was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Great Covid set up, separate booths and one way system. Friendly welcome and excellent service. Food was fantastic with haggis neaps tatties, scallops, mussells & soup for startes all very much enjoyed. Steak mains were cooked to perfection (£25 serloin £30 fillet) empty plates all round! Good sized portions too. Excellent all round, will be back 🙂

We've been on vacation in Scotland for 10 days and while we've had some great meals, this one topped them all!! The Cullen Skink, to quote my Glaswegian born spouse was 'the best I've ever had'. The fish & chips and the sirloin with peppercorn sauce were fantastic. The sticky toffee pudding was superb! The wine list is good. The cocktails were lovely - try the Orange Chocolate Espresso Martini! The service was outstanding - thank you Grier!

Beautiful food. The Cullen Skink starter is amazing. Also the black pudding fritters were very fresh and light. For mains we had the venison stew (fantastic) and the honey and mustard chicken (very nice). The staff were excellent. Service was just right - not over the top like in some restaurants. Overall I'd recommend a trip to Ardnamurchan for some classic Scottish dishes.

Wow! This restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way! It has a beautifully styled interior providing a relaxed and unpretentious dining experience. The food was fantastic, equalled by the service, particularly from the gentleman who was front of house. Would absolutely recommend & can't wait to return when we're back in Glasgow, especially as we were too full to try the desserts! Book in advance to avoid disappointment!

Cozy and upscale with fantastic food. My husband had the squid appetizer and langoustine lobsters for his main. He said if he could do it over he would have gotten 4 squid appetizers, they were that good. I got the mussels for my starter and they were so succulent and flavorful and the venison stew for my main which was a huge serving and incredibly hearty. We were both too stuffed for dessert unfortunately.

Staff was very nice and attentive! Food: The scallops were super fresh and delicious! The goat cheese salad was also quite nice. The lambo shank wasn’t that great - the dried out broccoli was nice though. The best was the chestnut risotto and the sticky toffee pudding. Those two dishes I’d recommend in a heartbeat!

Had an amazing dinner on a Thursday night before a night out at the Hydro. Amazing food and drink, could easily have tried everything off the set menu and been completely satisfied. I'll just need to make a repeat visit to sample other dishes. Opted for the 3 courses and would definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding. Devine!

It’s great to taste the real Scottish food. I’ve been seen the sheep all the way to Scotland, and finally tasted here. The haggis is a bit different from my imagination, less inside taste. The lamb shank is really nice.

One of my absolute favourite places to eat in Glasgow. The seafood is the best seafood I've ever had in the UK. Perfectly cooked and seasoned - so fresh! Their mocktails are also delicious 😊 Can high recommend this place; great atmosphere, great food and great service.

Smashing wee restaurant, lovely food, great service. Altogether good value even without the eat out to help out scheme. Three courses in the afternoon for £19.95 and no skimping on the portions. Very well thought out and set up to manage the current situation (Covid).

Delicious lunch at Ardnamurchan last week. Great value for money and really friendly and helpful staff. My friend's steak wasn't cooked as she liked it and they didn't charge us for that. Highly recommended!

I had the seafood stew and tiramisu from the market menu. I paid 19.95 for the two courses. The food was delicious and flavorsome, I could not fault it. However, the service was too slow and I waited nearly 30 minutes for my dessert.

I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite a while and today finally managed to. It was absolutely worth the wait, though I wish I'd been sooner because I'd have been countless times since! The food is exquisite. I cannot fault any element of the three course Christmas Lunch I had - Haggis and Black Pudding Baubles, 45 day dry aged Speyside 10oz Sirloin Steak and Sticky Toffee Pudding to finish. The steak melted in my mouth as I ate it, it was divine. The service was brilliant, staff were attentive and courteous and have gone to great lengths to ensure the restaurant is safe and comfortable in line with current guidelines. It is very sad that businesses such as Ardnamurchan whom have gone to great lengths to accomodate social distancing etc are being forced to close but I look forward to going back when they are allowed to reopen. If you would like to enjoy fine Scottish cuisine in a beautiful setting I cannot recommend Ardnamurchan highly enough. A must visit for fantastic food and great service.

The food and friendly service were excellent. For anyone a bit nervous about going out during this pandemic, then Ardnamurchan is perfect for you. We were at a table separated by glass and a curtain from the tables beside us. The way it has been done made it feel cosy and private, rather than clinical. We'll definitely be going again.

Have been here before and after covid-19 and ardnamurchan is still a great place to go. There is partitions between tables and you have to wear a face mask when moving around which is understandable, there is also a one way system in place. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommended

The food was excellent, scallops cooked to perfection, the chicken had a superb mustard cream sauce. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her mussels and venison as well. If you are looking for great quality Scottish food them look no further. They have also made huge efforts to keep their customers safe with each table fully screened off from other diners. I would definitely recommend Ardnamurchan to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.
