What was this? We looked at the reviews and expected so much more. Disappointing. The best part are the staff who are very friendly but no this was not good. We sat in the bar area for a Saturday lunch which has typical west end furniture. It’s a sports bar so the atmosphere is loud and filled with young folks out to revel. We had the special steaks which were cooked to our specifications but arrived cold making them chewy. The blue cheese topper was simply some blue cheese crumbled on top of my steak and not a sauce. The fries were smothered in some form of mayo (I ordered Parmesan and truffle) and the vegetables had the life oiled right out of them. The place needs a serious clean and a bit of investment - see photo of tape holding the lamp together. On street car parking makes access difficult. Toilets were functional but not for those who might have difficulty going downstairs to a bunker. Ach not the best.

We came here as a group of 6 and everyone really enjoyed their food. The steak was really decent for £12 and the selection of toppers and sauces were good. Only thing I would say is that the prawns didn’t taste of much (supposed to be a togarashi marinade?) and the side of greens was a bit soggy, but otherwise great. The cocktails were also good - decent measures and well made. All in all, it’s reasonably priced, service is good and it was clean and tidy.

Went for a lunch on a Sunday..went for the signature flatiron steak which was fantastic. Really nice relaxed atmosphere and no hassle from the laid back staff. The menu is small but very well thought out. If you want some proper comfort food then you have to go. I will be back for the Sunday roast soon and another portion of the beef dripping chips which are outstanding.

Had a lovely meal! The menu is mostly steaks though they have a few other options, including a vegan steak. Nice steaks, reasonable prices and the blooming onion has got to be the best thing on the menu!! It's so tasty and great for sharing. Staff were friendly! Great atmosphere too, loved the place inside

Had the most amazing meal at FF last night. The steaks were tender & tasty, plus the sides were incredible. Highly recommend the beef dripping chips, Mac & cheese, and blooming onion. The steaks were nicer than many I’ve had elsewhere that are 3x the price. Go here - you won’t be disappointed!

We visited in the beginning for the 3.50£ steak sandwiches, but they only served on weekdays and I visited on.ma Sunday (stupid me). I ended up ordering a steak with no sides and a mac&cheese burger, since my girlfriend was not too hungry. Gotta to say absolutely amazing and delicious for the price range and very good polite service!! If i ever end up near by will definitely go again!

Can not explain how lovely this steak was, I had the flatiron steak with blue cheese and fries and the steak was cooked perfectly! Lovely vibe and environment. Would defiantly return.

Great food, super friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. We went for a steak on a Sunday afternoon and the food was superb. The steak was tender and well cooked, but the onion was definitely the star of the show. 🌰

Atmosphere ruined by big screen football going on during our meal. Vegan options were good, but they had run out of the arancini which I was looking forward to. My partner enjoyed the flat iron steak, but said the beef dripping chips were soggy and seemed more like wedges + "rotten" bits were left on them for cooking.

If you want only drinks, very nice atmosphere. If you're hungry, 100% go anywhere else. It took us 40 min to get our order (a FF burger and a flatiron steak). I'm under the impression it may have been top quality food but by that point I was so hungry I could have happily eaten a dead rat and not notice the difference. They also got my partner's side wrong. I was already unhappy and hangry before I saw the bill, then I noticed they had charged us for the fries we hadn't ordered as well as the ones we had. Absolutely not willing to pay, so I told the waiter and they corrected the mistake. Still, almost 60 pound for a meal for two that left me in a lot worse mood than I was when I walked in. Whatever the reason for the delay, I can understand, but I think someone should have warned us. Also notice the £5+ service charge that wasn't included in the price on the menu. Wouldn't go back if they paid me to.

Firstly, the staff here were exceptional! Definitely the best customer service we’ve had throughout our entire stay in Glasgow. Everyone was so kind and willing to go the extra mile. The restaurant was busy as expected but the food was fast. We ordered two medium rare steaks with the blooming onion and the beef dripping chips. My steak was slightly more rare than medium rare, I didn’t mind as I’m always up for trying new things. The chips were slightly disappointing as some were too thick and hard and more wedges than chips. I personally didn’t like the Blooming Onion as I expected it to have the texture of an onion ring but instead the onion was quite hard and had a charred taste, however, I think this is completely a personal preference. We were also disappointed they didn’t provide the popcorn and ice cream like most Flat Iron restaurants do but that was down to maybe not doing our research! Overall, we’d definitely come back as for the price the steak was brilliant.

Attended for dinner after seeing this place on tiktok, the flatiron steaks were beautiful and cooked exactly how they were requested, but for me the best thing was the blooming onion. Staff are lovely, helpful and never intrusive and before we left we discovered they are dog friendly. Loom forward to returning soon.

Had Xmas night out Saturday,food very disappointing. Portion sizes small I left feeling hungry the sticky toffee pudding was dry cake no sauce and ice-cream no flavour. Service was slow. The feather of steak was grizzly and mask was overpowering of garlic. I think all food bought in and microwaved ,I was a chef so know food and flavour. It was 25 per person for two courses. It really wasn't near worth that.

First time here, a friends choice. Atmosphere was cozy.There are two different rooms. One had pretty uncomfortable school like chairs and music too loud for conversation,so we asked to be switched to the other room.As regards service all the girls were amazing. Very friendly, helpful and service was first class.. There is a short menu. Flat iron steaks, burgers etc. We asked for well done steaks which although tasty were a bit tough and chewy. Peppercorn and blue cheese sauces were excellent, as were the light and crisp skinny fries. One special word of praise must be said about a side called Blooming onion. I don't know where they get onions this size. Cleverly cut it looks like a Cauliflower deep fried and tastes absolutely delicious. See photo as this culinary delight is difficilt to describe.Crisp Kale and green beans were also tasty . With a little more attention to the steak, this would be a perfect meal. I had a beautiful dessert, which tasted like Terry's choc orange. The restaurant is situated half way along woodside road on the right, heading from Charing Cross. Thanks again to the staff for making this a pleasant experience.

Booked through 5 PM for steak and chips great value and staff. well worth the price of £15.00. Good portions of Macaroni as side and beef dripping chips were brilliant. Definitely return

Steak is fantastic. Perfect medium rare, garlic butter was the perfect sauce with it. Very reasonably priced for the portion sizes and such good quality meat.

Really nice vibe to this place. Lovely food, professional staff and great location. Will certainly be back. Oh, and the beef dripping chips are awesome.

Ate a meal for the first time here, absolutely loved it, we were on a deal. The taste and cook of the flat iron steak was perfect, I would say the nicest steak I've eaten. Good choice of toppers an sauces, the prawns were yummy. Another good choice of sides offered, the blooming onion was amazing. Staff are very friendly and helpful

Friendly atmosphere and the decor has a nice 'trendy but old school' pub vibe. Food was great. Highly recommend the signature flat iron steak and beef dripping chips but the blooming onion was a revelation! Service was excellent. Will definitely return.

Was looking forward to coming here based on the good reviews, however had an underwhelming experience. Service was fine, just didn't enjoy the food. Ordered a steak medium rare, however it was cooked to well done. A shame that this happened as steak is the feature on the menu. Also ordered a Thai salad bowl which completely missed the mark. Thought it was a salad as stated, however it was like a noodle soup (no spoon given to eat it with?) that tasted of sweet chilli, lacked authentic Thai flavours. I don't like to leave bad reviews but I just really didn't enjoy the food.

Although the menu is limited the choices available are great. Had the special Ribeye steak with vegetables and dauphinois potatoes. The latter were a little dry but the cranberry sauce was delicious, just wish I had had more 😋

Great afternoon spent in this venue watching six nations rugby. The atmosphere was fantastic, food excellent and all staff very attentive especially Liam who went the extra mile to accommodate us. We had to vacate out table at a certain time. He offered us alternative place to sit to watch the game. We had to move again prior to end of game. A couple of stools were put in place for us. Our favourite rugby venue in Glasgow. Look forward to our next visit...
