We had an outstanding meal at this restaurant, which has now become one of my favourite Italian eateries in Glasgow. Stunning inside, beautifully presented dishes and excellent flavours. The seafood pasta was fantastic, and also the Paccheri with nduja and burrata. Good value for their set menu options. Service was friendly, always nice to be served by smiley Italian people at an Italian restaurant!

Delicious food and great service too. The staff was kind enough to show us how the large pepper was used, which our whole table really enjoyed. It was a great stop for lunch - the pizzas and risottos were all top notch!

Food is absolutely top tier but the staff do make it. Friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. If you want a great dinner out this is a winner.

There is something about this restaurant that feels very authentic Italian from looking outside to the minute you step in. It's refreshing. The decor is traditional and modern at the same time and the atmosphere is great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food which was delicious and fairly priced. Our servers were all very friendly and fast, my only criticism was that sometimes it was difficult to get their attention as it was busy when we went. Otherwise though I would recommend this place

They offer a delicious selection of Italian cuisine. We went for the À La Carte menu, but the set menu is very good value for the quality and quantity of food. It's a lovely, Instagram friendly space; bright, light and colourful inside. The decoration makes for an ideal brunch or lunch setting. The staff were friendly but busy. We started with olives, bread, and olive oil. I was very happy with my ravioli which we had with a side of Rocket and Parmesan Salad with Balsamic Dressing. The octopus was wonderful and fresh, an unusual ingredient choice for pizza but it worked well. Highly recommend, would eat here again!

I came here for a quick lunch choosing from the different options of the lunch menu. The offer is absolutely great for the value of the dishes: in order we took Bruschetta and arancini and then Arrabbiata and Risotto and for dessert a Tiramisù. The starters were both great: the cherry tomatoes were well marinated, while the Arancini, even if they were not traditional, they were absolutely fantastic. Risotto perfect, and the penne in the Arrabbiata were cooked perfectly. Tiramisù was tasty with a strong taste of coffee (as it should be) but I must admit I don’t really like the choice to put it in a jar. The welcoming was not as inviting as I had expected but then I must admit that the staff were attentive and nice. I recommend this restaurant for a good Italian meal.

The food was reasonable, well prepared and presented. The risotto was done just right, vegetables not over done. Food was delivered promptly. Service was fair, waiter jovial but seemed preoccupied with a table of young females. I can see being flirtatious from time to time but he spent most of his time with them. Maybe they were his granddaughters?

This place has a great menu, lots of choice and the food is good quality. If they have specials of lobster they actually bring out a live lobster! That might not be for everyone. That aside, the service was great and the staff are friendly. Loved that we weren’t rushed. The wine menu is fantastic, with a great range. We loved the limoncello with our bill. I would highly recommend this place.

Is ok, but please don't call Italian restaurant. Italians can get offended. We have been on 25/09/2020 for dinner. We've got a risotto ai funghi and rice was raw. My friend has penne al filetto, and penne were overcooked. I had tagliatelle with chorizo and prawns, good teste but you definitely don't feel the prawns taste. Or I was unlucky with the chef or if the quality is so, then definitely not Italian.

Based on the reviews I was expecting a really good experience but it wasn’t the best I ever had. The food was decent although not the most authentic with the tiramisu which was more of a chocolate mouse with nuts. My friend’s pasta dish was also very salty. However the main thing that put us off was the person who first greeted us in the beginning with no enthusiasm and seemed quite aggressive. We were also shocked by the service charge that was added to our bill despite the fact we were only 2 people. However, most of the waiters were nice and my lasagna was good but for the price I was expecting a better experience.

Had an excellent meal here, set lunch menu very good value for money! Mussels to start followed by pizza, both delicious. Would recommend the El Fuego cocktail too.

It was our first visit to Santa Lucia Merchant City and definitely won't be our last! The food was incredible! Everyone enjoyed every dish from starters, pastas, pizzas and desserts. The service was very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is really lovely. We had a great dinner thank you!

This restaurant came up on a search for gluten free options in Glasgow. We had no prior experience of the venue but were absolutely delighted with it. The staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant was buzzing and the food was extremely good. My wife said it was the best gluten free pasta she had ever tasted. The complimentary mallows for her at the end was the cherry on top.

Had a very lovely dinner as soon as we arrived in Glasgow after a very long day of travelling. We chose Qua Italian Restaurant as it was only a few doors down from our accommodation. Appalling service. Totally overpriced. You can get much better Italian food elsewhere in Glasgow. My pasta dish was lacking in flavour and had hardly any vegetables in it that were advertised on menu. A big disappointment. If you want to go to la lanterna go to the west end one. So much better. Would not recommend the Hope Street branch at all.

Excellent Traditional Scottish Restaurant, The service is great. The restaurant is comfortable and homely. The staff make you feel really welcome, I travelled from London for real Scottish food and it was exactly what I was looking for. The team catered for allergies and made suggestions of what I would find good without making a huge fuss. Really impressed and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Restaurant time and time again.

My first time here and the warm welcome I recieved felt as if I was a regular. The place is very quirky with plenty space, the elm wood tables are handcrafted and comfortable. I had the eggs florentine and the home made hollandaise was to die for. I was able to charge my phone and they even offered me a book to read while I waited. I would 100% recommend Roastit Bubbly Jocks and cant wait to go back. Next time I'll leave the car so I can sample their wine selection. Thanks again.

The food here is so good (really SO good!) and the restaurant has the loveliest feel to it. It is one of few real 5* independent places in Glasgow that is definitely worth a visit for good food & wine.

Really nice family meal before the lockdown started back up. Could not fault the food and the staff were really good. Social distancing and correct covid safety measures were put in place.

We have just finished a beautiful "carry out meal" from Roastit Bubbly Jocks which was a gift for my husband's birthday from his daughters. Everything was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The portions were very generous and could probably have been cut down a bit as we struggled to finish our meal. Reasonably happy with our experiment here. The Moroccan chicken with rice was great and the labneh and olive starter very good. But the steaks were very chewy if not terribly expensive.

Perfect for slow Italian dining with an authentic feel. We chose the four course menu and were impressed with each and every dish. The Saturday evening menu is fantastic value without compromising on choice. The monkfish wrapped in prosciutto was a highlight. As was the Spaghetti Frutti Mare. Extensive wine list. Best Lasagne ever

This was my first time eating in this place, it was a meal for my birthday so my mum and two daughters plus her Italian partner came. The place was pretty busy and I liked the decor ect.. I had two issues with the place, the first thing was that my daughter found a hair in her food ( which kind of put us off the whole thing ) we didn’t complain or send the food back. The worst part was when my daughter requested they sing happy birthday to me with a candle and cake, the waiters spoke to each other in Italian saying they didn’t want to sing happy birthday as they were tired and couldn’t be bothered, The waiters did not realise we could understand Italian and understood every word they were saying!! I thought they were very rude. I won’t be going back.

When a place is not new you forget how good it is. By far the best Italian meal I've had in ages...Will be back more regularly. The pasta with steak and sausage (Rigatoni con filetto a salsicia) is to die for! Amazing. Forget Sugo or any other new places and go here.

Fantastic, authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Glasgow. This place has been established for over 50 years and is owned by the same family. The food is amazing, the staff deliver excellent customer services. Would really recommend this restaurant, don’t be put off by the location.

I go here every time I’m in Glasgow. Amazing pasta and the wines are lovely, although a bit warm for my liking. Luckily they don’t smirk when I ask for a glass of ice. Great and friendly service!

Food was decent. We went in lateish (just before 10)on a Friday night, and were asked to be sharp. Fair enough. But starting the clean up whilst we were still eating was ridiculous... Trying to enjoy my pasta with the smell of bleach cleaning products.... You'd think a restaurant would know the importance of smell to taste. It was clear the staff just wanted the hell out, but don't ruin the food experience... Simply move your last booking to 9.30. Won't be bsck.. Won't be recommending.

Just finished dinner here outside. The pork belly was yummy starter. For dinner we had gnocchi with sausage and zucchini and the linguine with crab. Both were very good. Inside dinner crowd was hopping and a live singer. Very good suggestion from Colin. Beautiful night to eat out. Waitress told us she was new and she was very professional and did a wonderful job!

SUCH A NICE PLACE. So beautiful inside with nice decorations - lemons on the ceiling and wine glasses on the lamps. The food was delish and the staff was so kind and friendly, specially the man from Sevilla (sorry he never told us his name) he recommended us the best dishes (butternut squash risotto was amazing!) he took so many pictures for us and also helped celebrating my friend’s birthday by calling everyone and singing “happy birthday”, he made us laugh and made everyone feel so comfortable. Definitely coming back!

Amazing restaurant!! Gorgeous cosy vibes & the staff were so friendly, in particular our Italian waiter a young gentleman who was so so attentive and kind. Food was delicious and they had a live singer who was just fabulous! To top it off the food was absolutely delicious, highly recommend!
