Absolutely amazing. Fantastic portion size to price and with a great taste that puts others to shame. Located downstairs, the area is decorated nicely and the staff are all very nice. The respect and handwork into the ingredients and food can be tasted in the end dish. For two it was about £30 per with a main each and a dessert to share. The spaghetti genovese and tiramisu are quite lovely. Reserve a table now!

This is a delightful Italian restaurant. Beautiful, bright but cosy decor with very welcoming and friendly staff. Was busy for mid afternoon on a Tuesday (7 December), which made a great atmosphere, and the service was very good. Food from the festive menu was absolutely delicious. A wee hidden gem.

Currently in it's 50th year, this is a rather wonderful Italian restaurant. From the friendly and welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere to the excellent food, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Would happily go there again.

Had superb service from the staff. For starters, we ordered the appletini which was delicious, their homemade focaccia bread and garlic butter langoustines. The langoustines were really fresh and yummy, and the bread was soft yet crunchy light crust. For the mains, we ordered the rack of lamb which was done perfectly medium and was one of the most tender pieces of meat I’ve ever had. And also the seafood pasta which was very generous with the seafood and was done really well too. We finished off the dinner with a tiramisu to share which was refreshingly light. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, would come back again to try their other dishes!

Came here last week for the first time and I'm in love! The food was just phenomenal. I had the veal saltimbocca and it was absolutely delicious. I ate the food far too quickly for a photo so I've added a picture of the prawns my friend got! So for pudding, I got the tiramisu as it's my favourite. It was so light and creamy, delicious! We all had clear plates by the end of the night. Staff were amazing and ambience was lovely. Will definitely be coming back and work our way through the menu

At first I was a little concerned that it was In the basement. It's a lovely atmosphere, nicely decorated and cosy. We were delighted with the food, as per my attached photos. I would not hesitate to go there again.

Authentic Italian experience and amazing food. The staff are friendly and helpful, you can also request them to modify the menu and they will gladly help. I tried the Chicken and Mushroom risotto without the chicken 🐔 which was amazing. The place was crowded and we were lucky that they had just one no show, so we got the table. Recommended that you make a reservation in advance.

Food was spectacular, loved every bite, great selection of wines and cocktails. Service was above and beyond. We felt looked after but not smothered and were given plenty of time between courses to chat and not feel rushed at all. Would recommend and will be back. Top notch Italian restaurant! Massive thank you to all the staff for making it a wonderful experience.

Great authentic experience. The staff was very friendly and the food was just perfect. The lobster and crab ravioli did not disappoint. Just loved the ambiance and true Italian feeling in Glasgow.

The staff were amazing. The location very central and easy to get to. The highlight was the lamb dish. Possibly the best lamb I ever eaten.

Our third time at La Lanterna, it’s reputation for the best Italian Restaurant in Glasgow is well deserved. The food is superb and authentically cooked and presented by wonderful and friendly Italian staff, who know their dishes and are proud of the quality of the food they serve you. Fantastic wine list with lovely Pinot Grigio, Trentino and Sicilian Grillo whites, being our favourites, but there are dozens more of all types, reasonably priced. The dishes from the wonderfully light dipping bread, crispy arrancini and mouthwatering scallop starters, followed by veal Milanese with wild mushroom tagliatelle and my wife’s rich flavour packed lasagne were fantastic. I had the Zabaglione alla Marsala which was a revelation and is now favourite dessert!, my wife had the chefs special chocolate mousse which was so light and melted in your mouth, gorgeous. All of this delicious food was helped along with a bottle Grillo too. Not cheap, but I think very reasonably priced for the high standard of the meal and service from the staff and chefs. Quality is not expensive, it’s priceless! We will definitely return. Outstanding Italian restaurant.

Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. Menu was absolutely fantastic containing several tasty starters and also lots of vegetarian options. I went for the bruschetta classic and the Arancini, which were both cooked to perfection and tasted excellent. The food also came at the perfect time, not taking too long to arrive as is common in some other fancy restaurants 🍝. finally, I had the copper Alaska, which was lovely, sweet meringue with mixed berries and ice cream. Five star restaurant, lovely atmosphere

Since we were attending a concert, we booked this restaurant about 3 months prior to our event and since there was 5 of us wanted to be guaranteed a table. The menu choices were good, I went with the old classics however my friends all chose different things and they all looked excellent and with empty plates at the end obviously tasted excellent 👌 Reasonable prices for the food and drinks we had. Will definitely be back if I'm in Glasgow again. 😀

Normally we dine in the west end restaurant but decided to give hope street a try. from start to finish it was fantastic, good atmosphere and really pleasant service from the staff. food was amazing and portions are really good. only downside to our evening was we were given fresh olives and bread which we thought was a nice little touch. we don't eat olives and choose not to eat all the bread as we where about to have a big meal. was disappointed when we seen the bill and was charged £8 for something we didn't actually order. didn't bother saying anything because at that point we had already had 2 slices of dread. I also heard another table saying they never ordered the bread and olives when we were leaving. just wonder how many times this actually happens.

👍👍 An excellent experience at Miller and Carter tonight. The food came out quickly and was so incredibly delicious - the steak was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping sauce was to die for! All steaks come with house fries they can up upgraded to chunky chips or sweet potato fried but we honestly...
