This is my first visit after a year and a half. I used to go there at least once a week. It wasn’t a very good visit this time, but still I like the place and would give it another try. I had the chicken hummus, which was one of my favorites, but won’t go for it again. It is still good, but not to my taste. They’ve changed it I guess. The previous version of this dish was better.

It is our first time here and we had read many good reviews about this place and we were not disappointed! The lamb shish and lamb hummus were delicious! The lamb is well seasoned and tender. Pita bread was great on its own as well. Definitely will come back to try more!

Very nice restaurant in the city centre. The menu is a mixture of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine (Lebanese, Turkish, Greek etc). There are many different options to select from. It can get quite busy, so it's better to make a reservation in advance.

Overall, the food was great. I ordered the chicken shish, and it was pretty filling. The different parts of the dish complimented each other, and it felt like eating a healthy kebab. The waiters were great and welcoming too.

Amazing food and efficient service Had the Lamb Iskender (pic1), asked for it medium and it was cooked to perfection. The bread is served with really fresh herb infused olive oil and is absolutely delicious. Hard to beat fresh olive oil The halloumi fries (pic2) are covered in a herbed batter that is amazing too The octopus is chargrilled and fantastic My only reservation about the meal was the pomegranate juice (pic3) which was very terrible, like a squash reconstituted with apple juice. Really appreciate Ewan taking care of us, was very cheerful knowledgeable and helpful. Hope to see you soon

They were nice enough to let us have a table that was reserved in an hour from the time we arrived. I liked my gyros. My friend likes his lamb (cooked perfectly as he asked).

The food quality was great. It came in quickly but the portion was relatively small especially the burger. Friendly staff and beautiful setting.

Although the food is tasty, it could be improved with better presentation and quality. The olives were not as expected, seeming to be straight out of a cheap supermarket jar. Both pitas I had were lukewarm instead of hot, and the fries were scanty and didn't complement the two large chicken skewers in the middle. There needs to be a better balance among all the ingredients. It wasn't quite the Mediterranean experience I was hoping for; it felt more like a UK-style interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine. The staff were helpful and hardworking, contributing to a really positive environment overall.

A modern gourmet kebab house right in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. Friendly staff served the most delicious Greek/Turkish food, cooked to perfection. We had the special offer lunch menu for around £13 - choice of mains, fries and soft drink - great value. We will definitely return!

It was just walking distance from the hotel where we were staying in Glasgow, not only that but it also had a good review on Google. There was a pleasant atmosphere, and there was no problem ordering food by looking at the menu. But after we ordered, we just asked them if they had any special items, and then they recommended the Lamp Escander, it was the best dish of what we ordered. As I had to leave in the morning, I postponed my desire to go for another time.

Absolutely lovely restaurant, fully booked but made an effort to accommodate and got us a reservation to return in an hour (unlike multiple other restaurants that just turned us away) Food was incredible, (having lived in Greece, it lived up to the standard!) staff were lovely, attentive and we also enjoyed some great, reasonably priced cocktails too! We both enjoyed a chicken and halloumi souvlaki as well as a side of Ravasaki (Fried Feta in honey) then shared a delicious chocolate tort. So 2 cocktails, one starter, 2 mains a side and a pudding (and a tip) all came to £61.50 which we thought was very reasonable. Highly recommend

I really enjoyed my meal here - 'Babs has a really authentic feel, so much so you almost forget you're in Glasgow for a second! Really clean as well. Couldn't fault the service, food arrived quickly - I ordered the Seabream (seen in photos), however I have to say the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. We were given 2 small pittas to share alongside a main each, and mine had no rice to go with it. Other than that though, the food was fantastic. Would happily go again.

A great find. Went for a meal on a Saturday lunch time, place was busy and the table we were sat at was very close to the tables next to us which wasn't the best but once those people left it was fine. The food itself was great, and plenty of choice. The restaurant doesn't take bookings so its just the case of turning up. I would recommend a visit.

Went here on the back of a few recommendations and wasn't disappointed! You can book a table but although they said it would be 30mins wait I think we got out table after about 10 minutes wait. Food was amazing , very tasty , looked great and portions were huge. Quick tip, probably don't need to order any starters unless you are very hungry! Will definitely be back!

Been here a few times now for lunch and have always been happy with the food. They do a £10 lunch menu which includes a main course plus side dish. The chicken shish is well presented, deliciously diverse in flavours, and a pretty substantial portion size! Highly recommended. Note: they do not take bookings.

I have wanted to go here for a while, and wasn't dissapointed after going for lunch today. They serve up generous portions packed full of taste. Every plate is served beautifully colorful. They had just ran out of Donner wraps, which I was hoping to try. But our server recommended the Hummus Chicken instead, which was really juicy and very tasty. Everything's served with plenty of crunch and dips. So glad we chose here for lunch today.

I tried the vegan gyros from 'BABS last night and I was blown away. The vegan tzatziki was phenomenal, the "chicken" had a lovely flavour, especially the charred bits and the flatbread was really soft and great for soaking up the juices. Super impressed at how fresh it all was and would definitely buy again. Also the woman at the door who gave me my takeaway had a lovely attitude and only wish I could of had her as my server.

We visited here in February for the first time and the food was great. The halloumi fries were the best myself or my partner have ever eaten, and that is a bold statement! We've been thinking about them all lockdown, hence this review as we've been reminiscing! The doner burger was so fresh and juicy, if anything just a little too salty. We had grilled chicken thighs on the side and they were beautiful too, full of flavour and moisture. Cant wait to go back. The only thing that knocked a star off was that the service could have been a little friendlier.

My first trip to Glasgow I decided to try BABS after a recommendation from a friend. I’m so glad we too their advice, the food here is fantastic! I actually left Glasgow this king I’ll have to come back just to try this place again. You don’t need a large budget to eat here either as the menu is very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t already been.

Discovered my food hadn't been cooked right through. The manager attempted to apologise, poor communication and wasn't confident at all. Manager, gave a discount of 20%. Any other restaurant would have removed the meal completely from the bill. These things happen, people make mistakes but it's how the situation is handled that makes the lasting impression. Disappointing customer service.

We ordered 2 chicken gyros last night and they were nothing like what BABS show on their Instagram. I was not even able to pick it up, we had to eat it like a pizza. The contents were not evenly distributed. The tomatoes, tzatziki, chips and chicken were not mix in with eachother. I have never written a review before however I was extremely underwhelmed and disappointed with BABS Glasgow.

The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. The prices were good for the city center and the portions were generous. Our food took a little longer than expected,but certainly not outrageous or anything crazy for a busy Friday night and we hardly noticed. But the staff was so apologetic and went above and beyond to make up for it, without us even asking. We will definitely be back!

Moroccan + Turkish restaurant in central Glasgow. I’m very picky when it comes to couscous but it was amazing. I loved the shrimps they were seasoned and cooked perfectly. However, I was disappointed as the meat was super dry. Also the prices are quite high considering I got a 1 shrimp skewer and 1 tiny beef skewer yet payed 19 pounds for such small portion. But, the place is pretty clean and the staff are very kind and friendly.

My partner and I got married at the City Chambers last week and were looking for a restaurant nearby where we could enjoy a low-key meal with our family and friends. We’d ordered takeaway from Babs before but hadn’t actually been in so decided to give it a go. The staff were accomodating right from the start. There was 14 people in our wee party but it was absolutely no problem despite the fact the restaurant was so busy. The food was unreal and the service was phenomenal - plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too! Thank you so much to the team at Babs for having us and making our day extra special.
