A very, very busy place in December at the weekend. A well decorated venue, all set up like a Mediterranean courtyard and taverna. Service was fast and efficient and drinks were good. Toilets were clean. We were unable to eat this time, but I would return to give it a try - the restaurant is upstairs.

I got married at Arta and it was the best decision ever! The venue itself is stunning. Very rustic and warm Spanish setting and gives a feeling of being on holiday. The staff were all amazing. They bent over backwards to accommodate everything. Rachel Grant, Sonny, Shona and all the staff did such an incredible job. We went for the Tapas menu and the quality was outstanding. All my guests were blown away by how amazing the food and venue was. We also used DJ Steve, through Arta. He's a brilliant DJ. I gave him a list of music which he played and he very kindly hosted a quiz for me. He knew exactly what music worked for the guests and kept everyone on the dance floor. Highly recommend the petal drop. Overall both my wife and I, as well as all my guests had an incredible experience and couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding. Thank you so much for everything Kav & Shani

Paid around £200 for lukewarm food and a less than average 3 course meal. The most awful thing about paying this much was that the chairs we were sat on were made of plastic, wobbly and tiny even for a petite female! It is way too loud to hold a conversation and the waitress was clueless. Wine was served in dirty glasses and no options or a menu!! The worst place we could’ve gone for a special birthday. Will definitely not go back! Photos are way too deceiving. If you’re going to charge so much, get new chairs!

Had booked Arta for my work's Christmas lunch. Due to current guidelines and the rapid spread of Omicron we asked to postpone. Arta won't honour our booking. As an organisation we understand it's a tough time for hospitality which is why we didn't ask for our money back, just for Arta to keep the money and honour our booking in the new year. I work for a small charity and Arta have done us out of several hundred pounds. We also gave them more than 48 hours notice. The horseshoe bar, who offer much cheaper food and drink have refunded cancelled bookings. With that in mind, Arta can shove their cancellation policy where the sun doesn't shine. Would not recommend

This place has it's own pulse. A no rush dining experience that has to be experienced. The waitress Nancy needs to run the place with her attitude and attentiveness Food wise its tapas and all is good, especially the almond pork! If you can go with Nancys recommendations 2 for lunch with a bottle of wine for 6 tapas breads and olives comes out to 35 quid. Well worth it

Depending what you want for an evening will depend on whether you rate here. The venue is beautiful, the staff are attentive but my gosh it's busy and loud! I found the food mediocre and no way near worth what they charge.

If you are looking for a wedding venue with a unique setting then Arta is the place. With just a humble entrance, once inside, it opens up to a colourful, vibrant space that has a little wow factor. With its Mediterranean influenced decor, flower arrangements, candles and little nooks, it lends itself to a romantic atmosphere. We chose the tapas option for the meal. Being served family style helped our guests feel relaxed and enjoy the tasty food, with more than enough for everyone. Tapas was an easy way to cater for all, regardless of dietry requirements. All the staff are amazing, so attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. All our guests felt so well looked after. Heather and George know their stuff and make it easy to picture how your day will come together. And Steven on the day, helped execute those plans perfectly. A massive thank you to all at Arta, you all helped make our day fabulous! We would highly recommend it to anyone who was considering Arta for their wedding.

Started upstairs which had a good atmosphere but getting served at the bar was a nightmare with how long it took. Moved downstairs to the club which was quicker. On night we visited there was a band downstairs before the DJ and they were great. Overall really enjoyed other than time taken to get served

Went for a Christmas meal and food was to be expected when mass produced, but nicer than most other dinners we have had for work. The dinner service felt rushed and it was usual extortionate prices at Christmas time for an average meal. No entertainment after the meal just down in the main bar which had a nice vibe although was full of influencers photo shoots.

Overall, really loved this place. Downside was that it was quite cool. So much so that our plates of food got cold quickly. We ordered too many at one time and on hindsight next time we would order a few at a time. We had a lovely bottle of wine but as we were really quite cold put our jackets on and left a bit of wine which would have been nice to finish our meal.

I booked their fireplace area here for my 18th birthday night out with my friends and it was everything and more! The place is absolutely stunning, the service was fantastic every staff member was so helpful, even the bouncers! Special shoutout to Lisa, jackie, Jasmin and christie! And also the events team Heather and Andy for making sure everything was perfect for me. I will 100% be back and will recommend to the high heavens!

Bought tickets for the Magic Mike tribute event. £20 each. I don't understand why they would put on an event you can't even see. We were at the back in the corner. Couldn't see when everyone was sat down. Of course, women are getting excited, standing up, dancing etc. What else would you expect. Except, even more ignorant were these woman in front of us stood up on their chairs. Completely blocking our view. Had a better chance of seeing the show through their phones. So, we went and stood up against the railing, closer to the show. The bouncer told us to return to our seats. I pointed and said, what behind that. He said he will tell them to sit down. Not that they listened to him. I'd spent £45 on a cocktail jug. I watched bar man make it. He filled 2 glasses to make up the jug. The rest he filled with ice to make it seem like we had more. They add a 2% gratuity to your bill. Thought they had to be clear about service charges, which are optional! In the end, we didn't want to waste anymore of our time getting frustrated or anymore of our money on cocktails that were not worth it. We left after an hour! I definitely will not be attending any more events at this place. Very poorly executed. Even other women were complaining about the view that were sat closer to the front!

I’d like to start by saying I categorically NEVER leave negative reviews, but feel Arta could be doing with hearing about this experience so they can do something to improve for future guests. I Was here last night for Christmas night out with four friends, one of whom had specifically ordered of the Hogmanay menu due to dietary restrictions, and was expecting sourdough bread - she was given the same soup roll as the rest of us. Turkey trimmings were meagre, and the ‘cheese platter’ consisted of 3 portions of cheese which were lovely, but served with only 3 crackers - bit stingy considering what we paid! Music ridiculously loud, even upstairs so conversation during dinner was a struggle. Tables crushed together so that every time a member of staff needed to serve the table behind us, my chair was being bumped. First two cubicles in the ladies were splattered with faeces and vomit and clearly hadn’t been checked in a while - this was disgusting. Lastly, and most seriously, we witnessed a middle aged, presumably manager (had an ear piece in), in a blue waistcoat and silver chain, with his arm thrown around a clearly uncomfortable young female member of staff as he gave her instructions, pulling her in towards him as she quite obviously was trying to keep her distance without pulling away. He then patted her inappropriately on her lower back as he sent her towards whichever table required her attention. This was deeply unsettling to watch as it was so horribly obvious that the girl was uncomfortable but didn’t feel able to say anything. Please investigate this and have a serious word with your manager, this is not an acceptable way to interact with staff. If you take none of my other comments on board, please at least do something about your management staff. Will not be returning.

Attended a function here on Saturday afternoon. This used to be the Cheese Factory, next to Cafe Gadolfe years ago. Unusual sink basins in the loos. The decor is very Mediterranean. If travelling by car, the nearest parking is the Q-park at £3/hr.

This place provided the best experience by far. We had a fantastic dinner and drinks with my friends and were greeted by the general manager who accommodated a table upstairs after another restaurant has ruined our afternoon and refused our booking. We were looked after by a fantastic team who went over and beyond throughout the night. We were later given a table at the bar area which not only had a fantastic atmosphere and music but also a great drinks selection at reasonable prices. We will most definitely be coming back again! Thanks Arta team

Visited this restaurant / venue for dinner yesterday. The atmosphere and service was stunning. All members of staff were dressed immaculately, and food arrived to the table very promptly. Would love to visit again to hire out one of the rooms downstairs or just to have dinner again. Food and beverages were full of flavour and very well presented.. Would highly recommend

Had a nice evening meal in very pleasant surroundings, shared a paella and some wine. Staff were attentive though not overly. I would recommend it especially to take a date to.

first of all the entrance to the place wasn’t clear we had to wait for someone to guide us. the staff seem to have no experience at all they did not have our booking in their sheets however we still got a table. the glasses weren’t clean and the waitress had no idea what’s on the menu. and the paella was not edible the chicken was very bad and the rice was barely cooked. i do not recommend going to that place at all

I truly cannot recommend Arta enough and the team whom helped organise and work our wonderful wedding. Both George and Sonny, their waiting staff, chefs and bartenders were professional, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them. Everyone involved helped make our day truly memorable. The food was far superior to any wedding meal I have eaten before, their sangria delicious, and the venues atmosphere relaxed, yet grand and unusual. All our guests had a brilliant time, and spoke wonders of everyone involved. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts - Nick and Tish

First off, the food was incredibly fabulous and very well worth stopping in. They also were able to seat us quickly even though we didn't have a reservation. However, the waiter forgot we were there after serving our main course, and even though we had ordered dessert didn't come back to our table even when we tried to get their attention multiple times across 30 minutes. When someone finally came over, they were great and helpful, but it wasn't the waiter who initially served us. So while the food was great, the ambiance perfect, the service was sub par at best.

Amazing food & a really lovely team at this quirky city wedding venue. I love shooting weddings here. It’s a lovely place to work. Everything is really well organised. A few photos of the wedding meal, which was delicious. 😋

"This is Sparta!" Yes, if you're into excessive indulgence in pleasure or luxury then this Roman themed club/bar/eatery is it. The place is like a labyrinth, each room themed slightly differently to suit your mood. The furnishings, materials and colours used transport you to a different time and place, where you can indulge your imagination about being a hedonistic Roman citizen. Only fly in the ointment the wash basins in the ladies toilets are too high to wash your hands comfortably.

My son and daughter in law had their wedding reception on the 14th of October. From the minute we arrived the staff looked after us. All the feedback from family and friends has been positive. Everyone had a fantastic time. Arta is a beautiful venue and I highly recommend it.
