It was my 18 birthday dinner, from the start the service was slow and we had to remind the staff that drinks had been ordered multiple times after already waiting 20 minutes or so. They forgot to make my brothers pizza and because of this it was rushed and served undercooked. As well as this, they offered to keep my cake until the next morning and when we arrived, it was smashed to pieces. The cake was a lot of money and when we asked what had happened they told us they didn't have enough fridge space. They should have called to tell us this but didn't, leaving my cake to melt. They only gave me an apology and when I said that isn't good enough (paying £200 for the meal and having a ruined cake) they hung up. I tried to phone up again to give them a chance and got told they would call me back but never did. If you want a nice family meal for your birthday, don't go here!

Nice restaurant, cosy feel but with plenty of tables across different levels. Lobster Ravioli was delicious, what a dish! Great focaccia too. Beware of the desserts, they are huge and amazing so you can't stop yourself from overeating and feeling fat. It will be worth it though.

Traveling alone for the first time in over 20 years, a colleague recommended this restaurant to me and I was not disappointed. I was offered a central table on the balcony, the vibe is bustling, welcoming and warm. I was dining alone, there was no rush, the waitress was friendly and attentive The food is outstanding, go for the set menu, plenty of choice for vegetarians. My only piece of advice is to book your table in advance as it gets busy. And remember, Life Is Beautiful 😍

One of the nicest Italians I've ever been to! Id happily rate this venue 10/10 for everything, from atmosphere and food to price and service. Zoe our server was so polite and very patient, especially since it took us so long to order off of the extensive menu. We couldn't have asked for a nicer member of staff to look after us. She was super friendly and very attentive to our needs, dispite there seeming to be a bit of a staff shortage that night. The Pasta Picante was hands down the nicest pasta I've ever had in a restaurant, and they weren't small portions like some Italians give you. There was even enough for us to take home for later. It's worth noting too that the price for everything was very reasonable considering the restaurants location at the centre of Glasgow. All in all a great eating experience! 🍕👍

Really enjoyed La Vita! Beautifully decorated and very polite staff. I ordered the Mia Casa and it was gorgeous. Only down fall was that me and my partner reserved our table, we were sat next to a walk in table and they received their food, bill and drinks way before us even though we were seated about 20 minutes before them. But it was a busy Saturday night so understandable! Will definitely be back to try it again

Have eaten here a few times. Always nice food, good atmosphere and attentive service. A lot of the waiters are Italian and it adds to the authenticity 🤌🏻 Will be back again for sure. They also do good value for money meal deals

Nice docor in La Vita and chilled atmosphere. Nice, friendly staff to take care of you. We had the Wee Jimmy deal which consisted of a half pizza and pasta (must be same pizza and pasta between 2 people). We really enjoyed the food and will be back again for some more!

I went in for the first time with my friends for lunch and the experience was horrible. They charged us for sharing a pizza. It doesn’t matter if you can eat the whole food or share it with your friends and family. What a horrible experience. Coming to the service, it took them 10 mins to give us menus. Didn’t even care to ask if we wanted some water for the table. It was measured and given to some of the people on the table by glass (forget about refilling it). The waiter was the most rude man I’ve ever come across. He was impolite and insensitive. He had a completely different demeanour to a group of white people behind us which makes him a racist as well (our table only had POC). I would never go back to such an environment to dine in. I would not recommend this place for anybody to go.

The place itself has an iconic atmosphere. Staff are super friendly even though they are so busy. The food was so fresh and tasty. Drinks were good as well. Definitely would recommend the place. We were bunch of picky people but this place made us feel good after leaving. So many options on the menu from starter to the end the dessert. I don’t think you would regret trying the place.

Great scottish breakfast. Awesome price for cooked breakfast, orange juice and a tea for &10.95. The quality of the produce was 1st class you can tell the difference. Ohhh also included toast. Yum! Come here rather than witherspoon across road. Be back next time in Glasgow

La vita is a phenomenal little restaurant, great menu, fantastic food/drink and its such a relaxing place. One thing i thought was lacking was the service, took a while to be served, never received drinks and it took a while to get the bill. • Judging on how highly this place is reviewed we probably caught them on an off day. will be back ✅

Manager was very kind in accommodating us just half n hour before closing time! All very reasonably priced for a central location, the sharing half n half dish was superb for me and my girlfriend. We even managed to squeeze some brilliant desserts in can’t recommend this place enough for a genuine, authentic high quality Italian meal in the heart of Glasgow

Food was okay, but restaurant is very cramped and hot. Was also super disappointed at the cocktail I ordered which cost over £10 being absolutely tiny, it was more like a couple of shots in a glass. Can’t fault the service though which was great.

This place is fantastic, the pizza is good, burger is cooked amazingly, and the service is perfect, only thing I would say is the wait for your food but when you get it it’s worth it

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to,and in fact the best one I've ever been to in Glasgow. Very classy, authentic and the staff are very polite and welcoming I'd certainly dine here again next time I'm around.

Good atmosphere but bit crowded and slow service on the day. The food was good.

  • 3/5 Aayush G. 5 years ago on Google
The manager on the top floor was quite rude. He kept looking around while talking to us and kept speaking to others while speaking to us. Also, they brought out the wrong dessert and the manger was listening to us at all. The pizzas were quite good but the tiramisu did not really taste of a proper tiramisu.

Moved to Glasgow a few months ago and stumbled across La Vita by chance. Best Italian food I've ever had. Really love the atmosphere, the staff and the general vibe. I try and go here at least once a month with my girlfriend. Good price and never had a bad meal! What all italian restaurants should strive to be!

Lovely restaurant to sit in and food is tasty enough, but not of excellent caliber. I had chicken and rice soup as a starter and it was a bit gloopy. Pizza was lovely but cant really go wrong with a pizza. Staff are generally friendly and approachable.

So upon coming into contact with this establishment I was bombarded by staff attempting to make myself and my family feel welcome but failing. They offered to take our bag's and jackets however i refused as i cant risk anyone thieving. So they began taking us to our table which was up 3 flights of stairs.... After the exhausting and unnecessary exercise. we were sat next to multiple other tables a very tight squeeze. Not good if you are claustrophobic. we had a gander at the menu.... and to our surprise their was no ethnicity. Looking around at other customers plates we saw the terrible standards this restaurant had to offer...We couldn't bare it any longer so we left and just around the corner to tony macaroni's were we had a delicious Italian meal.

My husband and I had visited this restaurant last night(07-03-2020) and we had two courses each and they were the worst Italian meals we have ever had. The soup was barely warm and the carbonara was the same. The dining area is sooo cramped we could hardly get into our seats which were situated in the main thoroughfare for staff and customers to walk by. The staff were polite enough but not friendly. Our first visit and our last..

Excellent food and excellent service. It's expensive but in line with city centre prices. Staff are really friendly. My most recent visit included my 1 year old and the staff made extra effort to speak to him and make sure we had everything we needed. They even gave him a teddy to take away for free!

Food is lovely however, we ordered through just eat and went through the La Vita menu for ages as everything is mouth watering. Sadly the order was not correct. One food item said it was served on a bed of Italian roast potatoes and there is an option to add a side, which we did. But,, when it arrived they were missing We phoned the George Square restaurant only to be informed that sadly its the way the menu order comes through from just eat and its either one or the other. Maybe put a little note on the just eat site in case people think they are getting a side and it's not visible. They did deliver them though 😁

🍕🍲🥘🍝 Great Food🍹🍜🍛🍧 Excellent food options and great location. The pizza was one of the best we've had and everything else tasted great! Would prefer for the place to be a bit cleaner but it's understandable due to its high demand. The staff was really friendly and fast. I will recommend this place and visit again.

The food was average; the service was average yet the service charge was over £20. Behind my seat was a door for the staff to enter and leave and I was moving and blowing cold air as the staff entered and left the restaurant throughout my meal. Very bad dining experience.

Hands down the worst meal on this 2 week trip to Scotland. I should have known better when I ordered a cappuccino and was told the coffee machine was broke. An Italian restaurant with a broken coffee machine. Really? The lady taking names and seating people was rude. The food didn't taste fresh. The meatballs on Sam's pizza were not only bland but hard and rubbery. Definitely not fresh. Neither of us finished our meals. The only reason you get 2 stars is our server was extremely friendly.

I came here to have breakfast and loved the food. We came here after walking a lot to find a place to get some classy breakfast, and it was definitely worth it. The waiters were very friendly and the food arrived pretty quickly. Next time I will be here to get some nice lunch or dinner.

Went in for the first time for dinner, the food was amazing, very quick service and the staff were pretty friendly. The prices were great for what we were given, and the portion sizes were huge. We ordered carbonara, lobster ravioli, and 2 frozen strawberry daiquiris, which tasted amazing. We didn't have a desert, but they all looked amazing. Every single one is freshly made by the chef.

Italian Restaurant - pizza, pasta. Seemed quite authentic to us ; like it's run by a multi-generation Italian family. There are several floors and steep stairs. I thought the food was very good at lunchtime.

  • 5/5 Sebastian S. 9 months ago on Google
Have come here every time I've been through Glasgow to go hiking, exclusively for that wonderful dish that is breakfast. £12 (ish) and you'll be greeted with orange juice, tea, and an absolutely fantastic selection of delicious breakfast treats from Lorne and Black Pudding, to some esoteric fried potato scone topped with beans- I don't know what that thing is full of beans, but whatever it is, it's without a doubt delicious. Honestly you can't beat it- it's magical. Definitely come here if you have a train to catch and want a quick feast- you won't be disappointed. My only regret is my fear to ask for more than one breakfast- I'd feel a bit shameful for my weight though if I started buying more than one when I pass through.

  • 2/5 Holly H. 9 months ago on Google
Was recommended to try La Vita. Went with my partner, ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. The starters, Bruschetta and Lasagna nuggets were nice, nothing special. We ordered, Medium rare Fillet steak and Italiano tagliatelle for our main meals. The fillet steak came medium, it was ok, served on a plate alone with fries on a side plate instead of all on the one plate. The italiano pasta however was disgusting, the pasta wasnt el dente it was brick hard, the chicken was frozen diced chicken from a large packet, not fresh at all and very hard rubbery and chewy. Literally inedible. We spoke to the manager/owner and he removed the pasta from our bill. The restaurant was nice and the managers customer service skills were good but I definitely wouldnt recommend or return.
