I'm gluten free so we checked out Bella Italia! We got this adorable flag on our table that said #allergenaware on it! Then my mozzarella garlic bread and pepperoni pizza both came out with little gf flags as well!! ☺️

A great wee place to catch a bite and a chat. There is a multi storey car park nearby at Hope Street and on street parking after 6. The staff are very friendly and the premises were clean. Good value for money with a reasonable menu. It is a chain so expect standard fare but the occasional wee special helps to lift.

We chose to eat here on a Monday afternoon. The place was a little busy and 2 staffs were managing . We were happy wid service as there were no delays in our order. Food was good and we are planning to revisit so that we can try other dishes as well

This was my first visit to Bellas Italia and we(I & my family) really enjoyed it. Somehow that day we wished to eat vegetarian food, so this review will be useful to any vegetarian who wants to try out this place. The staff here really helped us to find out good vegetarian Options. We ordered 2 meals, a regular meal and a kid meal. In regular meal, we had Cheese filled Gnocchi bites in starters which was served with delicious chilly jam. In mains we had Pomodoro buffalo with Rigatoni pasta (don’t go with the name, it was veg trust me) and then in desert a chocolate brownie which was amazing . In kids meal, we had a classic vegetarian pizza in mains, garlic bread in sides and a gelato ice-cream for dessert. It was a perfect family meal. Loved the menu options and the meal ❤️

Went around lunch time with a friend. Place was empty apart from one busy corner got seated away from the noise after asking. Staff do not cover their area as got multiple staff coming about order despite telling one not ready then another. Place should allocate staff to their area and only that member of staff covers it as to many waiting coming at you at once. Ordered food, which was spaghetti bolognaise, garlic bread with cheese and a friend got some pasta penne dish. Took over 30 mins to get the food and considering it was not busy was a bit annoying. No check back for over 10 mins on order that was presented. Ironically garlic bread (more like a pizza) was not garlicky and the bolognaise was so pungent with garlic it over powered the meal!I spoke to manager but it seemed that the sauce is made off site and bought in and thus they have no control. Manager did remove it from the menu. Pricing is reasonable but I will not return often as the overall experience was not very good!

Recommended! The whole restaurant is so fantastic. You feel the vibes of Italy from the decorations, food, and drinks. We ordered Pizza and lasagna with white wine. Prices are okay.

Went for a lasagne, was very very pleased, absolutely fantastic.

Food was below average tbh first server got our order wrong kids Mac n cheese looked like maggots said the child bland and not macaroni pasta. Pizza was and I'm being kind shockingly bad only plus from the visit was the kids straw. Will not be back and do not recommend o could understand of it was busy but with only 2 other tables in at that time was not impressed.

Food amazing. To be an Italian myself, the pizza and the pasta is the closest you'll ever get to the Italian style food. Also, during the week, if you're a student with "Unidays" you'll get 50% off all pasta and pizza. So fantastic place for students.

Great tasting food and all round great service from the staff here. They made us feel very welcome and the safety measures in place make you feel safe.

Absolutely ghastly, worst Italian ever. Chicken on pizza was like rubber, meatball starter disgusting. Beer and wine horrendous. Worst ever from beginning to end, was glad to get out kind of Italian McDonald's but worse. Will never be back.

My partner and I went for lunch and were left very disappointed. We ordered spaghetti bolognese but it was more like a can of tomatoes stirred into over-cooked pasta. We will never go there again!!

Went in last night 3 adults 2 children, ordered a drink, then waited about 10 minutes to order meal about 45minutes later no meal, order was lost, why did the waiter not notice we had not received our meal

Food was terrible and charged me £45 plus my groupon voucher £23 so total £68 for pasta. Don't Go!!!!

Food was a let down

Me and my boyfriend went on an unexpected busy night, luckily we booked beforehand, despite the bouncingly busy restaurant, the staff done an amazing job, kept us both at ease, and made us feel very welcome. Food was wonderful. Will definitely be going again!

Arrived here short of time due to going to the panto nothing we asked for was too much trouble we got out mains and starters at the same time and a kids meal. The service was fantastic and the staff were very understanding despite the restaurant being full. Our food was amazing and I'd return here and recommend this place no bother. don't think I've ever been so impressed by service ever

Nice place to eat but sometime it can be burnt depending on the she’d in duty. My wife got a good lasagne I myself got a burnt chicken breast with bacon. Nice decoration with the overhanging lamp stands and friendly staff. Portions are ok but not too much.

This place was beautiful layout nice warm in side .... seated straight away staff very helpful..... orders was quite quick .... starters was beautiful..... mains was great ... barr the pasta in the spagbal it wasn't freshly made as stated ...... but apart from that every was 100 % service staff starters drinks .... wee will be back but prob just go with a different choice off main ...

First visit before Kingfish show at concert hall. Ambiance has a cosy american / Italian feel. Staff were amazing so attentive, friendly and helpful. Really the best Waitress recommended on enquiry a share for 2 Carmalised onion and cheese flat bread .it was really tasty. Then followed spaghetti with King Prawn .. Not for me dont do fish. I had ham hock carbonara pasta. Both parties declared them very good. My only complaint being that the ham pieces were too fatty. They were small cubes difficult to separate meat from fat. Meat was lovely, smokey as it should be. We washed it all down with lovely coffees. Bill for 2 was £56 + tip. Thanks again to the staff for the wonderful service

Not a huge fan of italian food, but Bella Italia forced me to change my mind. Loved the food. I ordered more food just coz I loved it so much.

Visited with my family. A wonderful and pleasant hostess sat us down promptly. Our waiter had perfect timing (no waiting about for someone to get our order, clear dishes after starters etc.) very smooth experience. Food was excellent. Shout out to whomever prepared three cheese pasta for my "nothing ever taste good" child. He ate it up b4 I had a chance to even start my dish (gamberoni pasta - very rich in flavour, great ratio of past to other ingredients). Perfect service Prefect meal Perfect evening

The place was well decorated and the staff interactions were nice, the only issue was the food. The garlic flat bread was very small and thin the middle had parts cracking off it was so thin. The chips looked exactly like the French fries you get from frozen bags in the supermarket (also expensive and small portion). And as for the pasta, it was nice but very basic and too simple. The food was underwhelming and that affected the whole experience, I don’t think I’ll be visiting again.

Came here for my birthday meal today but I wish I didn’t. When we first entered there was only us, a family that looked like they had just been seated and another lady eating in the restaurant so very quiet. Me and my partner were served by Marlena, after being seated and shown menu she disappeared to talk to the family. We were waiting over fifteen minutes for her to come back and take our drinks and our order, which considering how quiet the restaurant was we weren’t too happy about. The chef had gone out for a smoke while she was just talking to the other family delaying our food further. Our food arrived quite quickly though, and from us both working as chefs before we knew that pizza and pasta dishes don’t arrive in five minutes. Food was lukewarm when it arrived which was even stranger. I ordered the gluten free festive pizza with Camembert on top and my partner ordered pollo cacciatore pasta. My partner ordered a cocktail and only asked for my partners ID even though we were sharing the drink; I tried to show my ID but she refused to look at it, saying she only needed to see his ID, even though we made it clear that we would be sharing the drink, it even came with 2 straws in it. My partners pasta arrived with nearly whole onions in, like they had cut an onion in half and just threw it into the food; and my pizza was undercooked, pale and chewy and toppings were nearly cold. Camembert had definitely been microwaved as there was no way it would be ready so quick and I could tell by the taste, texture and the way it looked that it had been microwaved. Not expecting fine dining but definitely not expecting microwaved food especially when there was barely anyone in the reastaurant! Two other couples came in while we were eating and the male front of house staff sat us all in the same corner right next to each other, it made us feel claustrophobic and we had no personal space, kind of ruins the atmosphere entirely, felt like they sat us all in the same corner as staff were lazy and couldn’t be bothered walking any further to see to us, as we were right next to the bar in our corner. Never seen anything like it in a restaurant that barely has anyone in before honestly. Marlena only seemed interested in talking to us when it came to a tip, emphasising which button to press to tip her and making small talk only when it came to tip time, she even highlighted the fact that the tip is not automatically put on on our receipt, underlining this and writing ‘thank you’ - picture attached. Wasn’t even asked if we wanted pepper or Parmesan on our food and Parmesan automatically put on to my partners meal. Staff seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than actually serving customers even though restaurant was nearly empty. I have been to busy Bella Italia restaurants in London and received better quality service and food than I received at this quiet restaurant. Definitely won’t be back! Thanks for the poor service!

Had gluten free pasta, was good. Not best pasta ever but well priced. Treated allergy safe with table and dish flags.

Decent food. Service could have been quicker, waited 40 mins for our starter. Asked to bring booking forward by 30mins to be told there wasn't any tables. When we arrived it was deserted.

The Lady who served us was very friendly and as it was a Groupon deal and i had phoned the wrong place was very accommodating she couldn't do enough for us and kept our drinks well topped up as we were extremely rough from the night before we were glad she quenched our thirst breakfast was first class even though my other half couldn't finish his. Lovely presentation too.

I ate here not because I wanted to but I felt I had no choice. I was looking for an independent rather than a chain. Anyway hunger won and I was very pleasantly surprised. The pasta dish i had was fantastic and the service was excellent. So I will go again when in Glasgow and would recommend

It was the worse meal I ever had. I ordered a chicken risotto and it was disgusting. The rice was uncooked and the chicken was from those frozen packs, tasteless. Even a chicken mushroom risotto from Tesco is much better. The service wasn't good either, I ordered a starter and they brought it after the main course because they forgot to order it and the place wasn't even busy to justify for the poor service. These restaurants chain the food taste like a microwave meal and in this case worse. Never again. I will start to go to the independent restaurants from now on. I hope this review will be helpful.

It's just about OK. I wouldn't rush back. They serve kids drinks in a cute little mini milk bottle - made of glass! Who gives a toddler an open top glass bottle?

The very worst spaghetti bolognaise I've ever had. The sauce (if you could call it that) was the darkest brown I've ever seen and looked gruesome, it was just thick dark fat and clearly many days old. I hoped it would taste better than it look but I was so wrong. Looked like something a cat had regurgitated and tasted even worse. To top it off the food was cold. Staff were completely uninterested and offered no refund. To pick up a full plate of untouched food and walk away with it, not even a question of why I hadn't ate it? Shockingly poor customer service. Did your waiter think I wasn't hungry and just fancied throwing away 35 quid?? Never again! It really is shocking that I can make much better Italian food at home. What's the point?

Very nice food and priced reasonably. I wasn't keen on any of their draft lagers, Becks Vier and Lisa, but apart from that it was a good experience with friendly service. ☺ 👍🏻
