Such a lovely hotel. I have stayed here a couple of times so far (Premier Plus rooms) and my stays have been perfect. In a great location, not far from public transport and has a stunning view of the SEC Hydro and Armadillo. The rooms are very clean, have a super comfy bed and great shower/bath, and also, an easy-to-use heating and air-conditioning system. Great TV too - big enough. Definitely hope to return soon!

Went to a concert at the OVO Hydro, so it was perfectly situated within walking distance. I have been to many Premier Inn's around the country & I can honestly say that the staff here were the friendliest I have encountered. Be aware that this is not the best situated hotel if you want the city centre, only the arenas & exhibition centres.

Fabulous location for anything at the SEC. Easy to get to just off the M8 and parking at the Premier Inn is £4 a day payable via an electronic machine near reception. You can only book up to three days and then you will need to redo it if staying longer It is a short 1 mile walk into town for food if you don't want to eat at the P.I. Food here is basic pub grub, but well cooked and presented. Soda water & lime comes in a pint which is great and refreshingly only costs £1! Some rooms come with a view of the river which isn't a bad view and beats the carpark view rooms! Excellent value for money if you are looking to use it as a base

This premier inn was lovely. We stayed here a few nights, which was a nice break away. The staff are friendly, and you are able to restock on tea, coffee, sugar, and milk for the room anytime. The meal in the premier inn was lively but you have to pre book table which we didn't mind. The room was lovely. I will be coming again.

Great hotel, fantastic service brilliant warm room. Good prices. Great breakfast. Only one negative the bar did not have any Baileys. I thought that was a pretty standard drink for most bars

I believe this place has potential. We just went on a bad night. When we got there, the check in line was out the door. It moved quickly for how long it was but we were still in line for ~20 minutes. It looked like the self check in kiosk computers were down, so the staff had to manually check us in. The rooms were nice enough. Firm bed, good size room for having guests, great shower and bathroom. We walked across the river to have dinner and, upon our return, the building had been evacuated by firefighters on site for an alarm. I am really happy they had just finished as we got back, as we were quick to jump in line for the elevators (and not have to wait in line for the entire hotel to return to their rooms). The area was very picturesque at night. Close walking distance to great restaurants. But the check in line and fire drill (kids pulled the alarm apparently) really pulled the rating down.

We had a great time staying in this hotel. Got it for a good deal for 5 days. Staff were very friendly. Checkin process was very very smooth. We got the keys as soon as we told our last names! They don’t disturb in the mornings in the name of “housekeeping” like other hotels. The room we got had a great view to the river Clyde. Even the common toilet in the ground floor was very clean. Would love to stay here next time when we visit Glasgow.

Used to be good, restaurant runs at 10% capacity and keeps you waiting. Breakfast is hit and miss. If you are working away you just want to be able to eat without being turned away when there are only 10 people in the restaurant. Have been coming here since it opened but now looking at staying somewhere else

Excellent stay!!! Hotel is spotlessly clean and in a fabulous location. The room was really nice with an amazing view of the river. Breakfast is great value for money with lots of choice. The only issue I had was a breakfast waitress was replenishing the croissants from a packet and had no catering gloves on. Safe to say I avoided the croissants. All staff so warm and welcoming!!! I will stay here again…

Absolute banger for money! Right by the river and a lovely walk in the evening will take you to the city center. The staff is a delight to talk to and the rooms were absolutely clean and spacious. Best one in the area for a short stay.

Michelle, on reception, was lovely. Despite the hotel being very busy as we checked in, she was calm, cheerful & helpful, even taking the time to upgrade our room. The dining room staff, young man (sorry, didn't get his name), was polite with just the right amount of attentiveness The room was clean, modern, and not fussy. My only complaint was the food. We had dinner in the hotel. My steak was cold. It was returned & came back warmer. However, my ice cream Sunday's chocolate flake had a large bluebottle fly frozen to it! Yuk! I would have expected that the replacement dessert would have then been complimentary, but alas not. As we were tired after a long journey & dashing off to see a concert, I didn't want the stress of complaining, though probably should have. I do appreciate that things are not always great when the hotel is extremely busy. My husband did enjoy his meal, with no issues The only other niggle was the reduced selection for the continental breakfast. No selection of continental breads, ham or cheese you would normally expect. There were croissants, chocolate pain, muffins, crumpets As expected though, the full English breakfast buffet was up to its usual standard. Overall satisfied customer. Just the food ....

Excellent hotel to access SSE, Armadillo & ovo arena. Has restaurant to eat before attending venues. Less than 2 min walk. Large car park. Usual spacious rooms, clean & quite cool in the heat. Only dropped a star for the evening meal. Which wasn't bad just peculiar! Had chicken, bacon caesar salad expected chicken & bacon in bits within salad. Got lettuce covered in caesar sauce with a whole chicken breast & 2 bits of bacon on top! Wasn't bad just peculiar! Plus couldn't get coffee to finish meal, machine broken & no sparkling water! Excellent service though!!

Very comfortable budget hotel that has aged well since it opened. Pleasant riverside location in a quiet area very close to SSE Hydro and SEC venues. Half an hour walk to the city centre with both regular trains from Exhibition Centre station nearby and bus services nearby too. Much better quality product than the Premier Inn at St George's Square.

  • 4/5 D M. 9 months ago on Google
Very convenient for OVO Hydro. Attitude of reception staff questionable. A friendly smile to welcome guests would be a good starting point.

I rate this hotel on its quality alignment to price. Luxury it is not, quality it absolutely is. A decent breakfast comfy bet and adequate facilities make this an extremely good value for money hotel.

  • 5/5 Jim G. 5 months ago on Google
Location for the exhibition centre is very good, just across the Clyde via a footbridge. Room nice, bed comfortable, shower powerful and plenty of room. It worth knowing the one USB point needs the TV on to charge but even then it's slow. On site bar and restaurant is fine, breakfast is good, plenty of cooked and continental options.

I stay here regularly, a good location in a modern style hotel near to the centre of Glasgow with a lovely view over the river looking into the city. The staff are friendly and the rooms are as expected in a Premier Inn, spacious and clean. Staying in a Premier Plus room you get extra comfort which is always welcome after a days work or sightseeing.

Been to many premier inns country wide and this is by far the worst. Be prepared to queue for check-in especially if there is a concert on. Room was clean so that's a bonus although had to ask for another towel their was 2 of us staying 2 nights with only one towel. Was told on reception we had a good view from our window which it was or would have been if you could see out the window they need a good clean. Breakfast was pretty poor everything was luke warm although the choice was there. On the plus side the staff the staff were pleasant and quick to sort out our queries

I've stayed here 3 times now every year or 2 when sent for work and every time has been good. Staff are always friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable, sleep like a baby every time. And the food is delicious, if you get a room overlooking the river the view isn't half bad either 😊 Didn't catch her name but the woman who served me most of my time at dinner was very polite and on top of things, tables were cleared quick and next course was brought looking amazing. She was very friendly and had good rapport with customers making nice conversation with people making sure they're happy. As I say didn't get her name but she had a small tattoo just above one of her elbows on back of her arm. Lovely young woman so hopefully she gets recognition. If I get chance or need to stay in Glasgow again I look forward to it.

My room was reasonably-sized and clean, but the lack of a safe was annoying. Rest of the hotel seemed nice but the breakfast was very sub-par, so don't know if it being "unlimited" mattered. Getting there by public transport from the train stations is straightforward by bus but the subway station is quite far, and the bus tickets are noticeably more expensive at least from Queen Street station, while also not being very frequent at least in the weekend. Very quiet area, so not much food options nearby apart from the Costa Coffee downstairs for convenience, but the riverside walk is nice.

The hotel is well kept, and updated. The rooms were nice. The pillows are flat and horrible to sleep on, I recommend bringing your own. I'm not sure if we were roomed under the elephants doing step aerobics for hours at 5 in the morning or if the people above were jumping everywhere. The ceilings are incredibly thin as our whole room shook every time the room above us stepped. Our noise machine couldn't combat the noise from above, which is saying a lot. So bring ear plugs and a noise machine and you will have a quiet night sleep.

This is a great Premier Inn, and I've stayed at a few! Glasgow has a sign on a bridge that reads "people make Glasgow" and as a traveller from England I can't add any more. They were super friendly and service at breakfast and the evening was exceptional. Thank you - I'm looking forward to my return for work next week.

We stayed here after a show at the ovo. It was an amazing experience, staff friendly and very helpful, rooms clean and everything needed was provided. We had amazing views from top floor over the Clyde. Evening meal was delicious as was the buffet breakfast which had many many choices available. Will definitely be returning

Rooms were great, I was here for the con at the crown plaza very easy to get there. They have a Costa on site which was great, The only complaint was that the restaurant staff on our 2nd visit were a bit rude to my group. We had to constantly go find them to ask for allergy menus, ordering and bill paying. I got charged for 2 drinks when I only had one, and generally it just seemed like they were more interested in chatting to each other instead of checking in on the diners.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you won't be disappointed. Super hotel, spacious room, very clean. Had a meal deal, dinner was delicious and breakfast lovely. Only one fault, dining room chairs were a bit stained. But the rest was spotlessly clean. I will be staying again.

Another great Premier Inn maintaining high standards and value for money. Room was clean and well equipped. Location is obviously better if you're going to the hydro, but still not far from the city centre. Although £4 isn't much for a day's parking, I feel it should still be complementary for guests. The nice pink glass elevator on the Crowne Plaza across the river kept us entertained 😂

My room was great, everything I needed. The restaurant/food was a let down. I've never seen such anemic scrambled eggs. I had pre paid for breakfast for the 2 mornings I was there. There was a good choice of different things. Dinner however was a complete disaster. I only had it for one night and never again. I ordered nachos to start- worst nachos I've ever had. There was only cheese on the top few crisps, barely more than a teaspoon of sour cream and the same portion of red onions/cubed tomato. No salsa or anything, far to dry. It was just as though a bag of tortilla crisps were tipped in a bowl and they forgot the rest. I never said anything initially, as I knew I had ordered a burger and chips for my main. Other than being partly raw, I don't even think it was beef/meat it was vile. I've never tasted that taste before. I gave up and sent it back. I was put off from ordering anything else. Such a shame as I've stayed in other premier inns many times and enjoyed the food.

Brilliant location for the Hydro, excellent staff in particular Michelle who is the most bubbly, helpful , funny person who goes out of her way to help.....nothing is too much trouble for her. The hotel is comfortable with Hypnos mattresses on the beds and kept it's " quiet night" promise with no rowdiness in the premises at all. Highly recommend and would definitely use again!!

Very clean and tidy and reception staff were very friendly anf efficient. We stayed in a premium room and it was certainly worth the upgrade. So convenient for the Hydro. Will definitely return.

Stayed here for 3 nights for a corporate event. The front desk guy made checking in hardwork, asking for payment then not making sure any car park charges were covered - as per the booking. Thankfully i had the booking confirmation with me or it couldve been a bit of a battle to get it right. The room was clean and tidy as you'd expect. The restaurant on the other hand is a different story. Two hours for three people to have two course meal! Oh and garlic prawns is 5 king prawns served on a slice of garlic bread. No sauce and dry as you like. Breakfast was OK and the standard you'd expect. Location for us was perfect but may not be for someone wanting to be a little closer to the centre but that's personal preference. On the whole it wasn't a dreadful stay but definitely not one of the better Premier Inns I've stayed at. Yes I would go back but more likely to eat out than use their meal deal.

Stayed in Premier plus room. Spotlessly clean and great amenities. Nice staff and as it was NYE we went onto the Bells Bridge to watch the fireworks at midnight. Slept soundly and breakfast was good.. Except the fried eggs were very undercooked but everything else was good. I would defo recommend and we will stay here again.

Good hotel, excellent location for secc, good parking space, only £4 a night. The rooms are comfortable and clean, showers are hot. Service for breakfast and dinner excellent 👌 staff are fantastic and helpful.

Fabulous hotel. Spotlessly clean. We stayed in a Premier Plus room that had those little extras, ironing board and a mini fridge and a lovely, comfortable big bed. The shower was great too. The only very minor thing was the window in the room was long and thin and to one side so didn't really let much light in but the view overlooking the river was lovely. And we were only there for one night. This hotel is within walking distance to the Hydro Centre and it's only 2 stops on the train to the centre of Glasgow. A nice dining area too, overlooking the river. Would stay here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Check in/out was taken care of seamlessly by wonderful receptionist, and my room was spotlessly clean. Meals are provided in house which I found to be delicious served by efficient and friendly staff. The hotel is ideally situated for walks along the riverside and within easy distance if going to an event at the SECC complex. A few minutes drive,(depending on the time of day) can see you in the heart of the city.

Very professional and friendly staff especially Michelle on reception my buddy 😂 a nice large room on top floor overlooking the Clyde and the hydro. Excellent location for concerts and within walking distance from Glasgow Central. Had a good night sleep bed very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Rooms were not as clean as expected and what I am used to at other Premier Inn premises. We arrived early to have a drink before checking in to be told rudely that the bar won't open till 5pm as there is not a demand and not enough staff. We were directed to the hotel across the road that has a bar! It would be a great location if staying for an event at the hydro but the bar across the road is open and welcomes anyone.

  • 5/5 Jim B. 1 year ago on Google
Usual Premier Inn experience, which is just right for us. I would prefer a human for check-in, no option to request second key from machine. Not sure why rooms are not being serviced daily now that COVID restrictions are over. Good breakfast with riverside view if you are lucky.

  • 5/5 Susan C. 1 year ago on Google
Great hotel. Rooms very clean & comfy, staff very helpful. Food good! Location great for exhibition centres. Only issue, bar shuts at 11pm. Second issue, several item not available on menu. Limiting what you can have on set menu without incurring a surcharge, should have been told this before paying for deal.

I just popped in for a quick cuppa tea at the bar with my bike as I was meeting a few friends down here and the service was amazing! I first stepped in and the receptionist was so friendly and welcoming! The bar guy who served me was nice and pleasant too. First Class!!! Great work!

We checked in on the self-service machine but we had to speak to a member of staff to pay for car parking. Holly at the check-in desk was very friendly and helpful. She asked about our stay and genuinely seemed interested in what we were up to during our stay in Glasgow. This was our first time staying in a Plus room and we really enjoyed it. It was great having a fridge to pop our drinks in. It's very obvious that this Plus room is a modified standard room. The desk is different from the photos, with only sockets on one side of the bed and noticeable screw holes in the bathroom tiles where the shower curtain rail has been removed to install the glass screen. A proper refurb would have been great for our first stay in a Plus room but overall still happy with the experience.

This is one of the best Premier Inns I’ve ever stayed in. Sat on the banks of the Clyde, and opposite the OVO Hydro, it is nicely and conveniently placed with walking distance of Glasgow centre. The hotel itself is well equipped and up to date, with friendly staff and a reasonable menu. Car parking is extra but get a voucher from reception and you’ll often halve the price. I would definitely recommend it and will very likely be staying there again soon.

  • 5/5 Dan A. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely wonderful stay, the staff were extremely accommodating given the event we were attending meant quite a lot of my peers were staying here. As it was a newer Premier Inn the accessible rooms were good and clean, lots of space to manoeuvre. The only minor annoyance was the room door was really heavy (I think that's a fire regulation thing). The hotel is by the river bridge so getting to the SECC was relatively straightforward.

  • 4/5 Paul H. 1 year ago on Google
Quiet location. Restaurant service is good, food is okay. The location charges for parking, £10 for Saturday afternoon to Monday morning. It seems a bit of a cheek to charge residents but it's not a lot of money. Lots of sanitisers around and the place seems clean to me.

  • 5/5 GOWRISANKAR K. 11 months ago on Google
Spacious rooms with air-conditioning facilities. The room was really clean and well set up for arrival. Nice and peaceful environment. Staff are extremely friendly. The only thing to improve is to have better ventilation facilities in bathroom to avoid extreme steaming.

  • 4/5 Jennifer S. 2 years ago on Google
The place is great if you are attending a concert or event. You can walk to city centre about 1.5 miles. 1 set of elevators makes for fun when coming home after a concert. Take the stairs to the 3rd floor to get in those steps. Prices are climbing even though they don't service your room any longer. The staff are friendly but I wish the costa opened earlier on the weekend.
