I visited this awful place with a friend to purchase the 2 for 1 meal offer we had on an app.On arrival we both were unsure if the premises was open for business as it was totally empty , not one staff member or customer in sight. As we turned back towards the door to vacate 3 men ran down the stairs towards us, ushering us over to a table right beside the door. We hesitantly sat down , as the men stood over us eyes burning into ours. After being seated 0.5 seconds, jackets not even removed and chairs not even pushed in yet we were asked to order. when we stated we needed a few minutes the man still stood over us staring and watching until we ordered a soft drink. To myself and my friends dissapointment the drinks were abseloutely vile, they were both totally flat , not a single bubble in the glass. The drinks tasted so sour and unpleasant we both could not drink any more than 5mls each. We then both ordered a boonah curry each with rice. After ordering within less than 5 minutes we heard a microwave 'ping' in the back ground various times. Both curries arrived within seconds, as we both stared at each other from accross the small table. To my utter dismay, disbelief and genuine shock one bowl of rice arrived , which we were told to 'share'. There was just enough rice on my plate after i flattened and spread it out after sharing the bowl with my friend. The curries then arrived. The sauce was a very unhealthy unappetising green/ bright yellow colour, very watery with 4 very small pieces of chicken in the small plate. It looked abseloutely disgusting and was such a small tiny portion it was very insulting to receive. The quality was so disgraceful and it certainly was not a boonah, the sauce was not red or anywhere near it. Both curries looked like messy badly presented cheap and nasty ready meals . The taste was something else entirely. There was no taste. Totally tasteless. Tasted of nothing whatsoever. I could not even chew through the chicken it was so so tough and im almost certain it tasted reheated from the previous night. Me and my friend stared at each other from across the small table and could not even speak never mind eat this monstrosity. In a moment of despair i raised my napkin to my face to block out my rather unpleasant expearience and the employee to my left who stood beside us since being seated and throughout, staring and listening like a preying mantis, never leaving our sides. The napkin was filthy, smeared in an unknown sauce from a previous customer. We could not eat the meals they were honestly so revolting. I felt intimidated as we were constantly being stared at and watched by 2 employees standing on the stairs and the employee who stood right beside us at our table for the entire experience. There was no way we could refuse to accept this food or pay for it as they were circling us like crows. We left the food basicaly untoched along with the drinks and asked for the bill. The bill came to £41 for 2 soft drinks and 2 currys, the prices on the menu did not match the hand written messy receipt we received. By this point i was really really scunnered and had had enough. When i questioned the employee about the very expensive bill for a 2 for 1 deal he arrogantly and confidently told me that that was the 2 for 1 deal !! All 3 men were staring at this point, feeling further intimidated we both just paid and left abseloutely starving and quite upset. I would never return here , even for a free meal. The place is disgusting, no standards and quality of food and presentation is very poor and embassaring. Myself and my friend were certainly conned and ripped off. Advertising as 2 for 1 deal but ita definitly now, their advertising is false. Please do not waste your money here as you will be very disappointed and hungry upon leaving this place.

Me and my friends went on Thursday 28th February 2019. The food portion was very small. The 3 of us ordered a starter a main meal each and 3 soft drinks. It came to £85! Of which we talked the waiter down the price a bit. The best part is that both myself and my friends have had the runs (food poising) all weekend. Now I know why the place was dead. AVOID.

Wanted to pay via American Express (which they accept, and which I get air miles for using) but felt pressured to pay with debit card (which I did) after I was told they get charged a 3% transaction charge by American Express. This was after I was charged the sit-in restaurant price on the take away menu- should have been 10% cheaper, as highlighted on the front of the takeaway menu.

Very poor quality food. Were more concerned with the fact we had booked on 5pm for more people and asked me to go onto 5pm and cancel the booking so they didn't get charged commission?! No wonder it was dead.

PLEASE AVOID AT ANY COST! Me and my husband had lunch at this place on the 31st of December 2019. Being an Indian, this is definitely not how Indian food tastes like. The food was horrible. We had arrived in Glasgow to enjoy the New Year's eve and after lunch at this restaurant both of us had food poisoning and we just could not get up from the bed. Thanks for ruining our New year.

Walked past this restaurant. Looked good, so we stopped off. Good food & service - maybe a tad too quick to remove plates. Definitely efficient. Not the cheapest, but worth it. The Tikka starter was especially good.

Went here with two friends for a pre theatre meal. Lovely food ,very friendly, helpful staff , the night we were there some of the electric went off, not a problem they worked hard to.produce our food. Clean and tidy staff and venue. Well worth a return visit.

Went for the £9.95 pre theatre menu. Good value you may think. Read on. Ordered a couple of popadoms and dips. Popadoms were ok. So far so good. The starter came. One large vegetable samosa which was very dry almost like it had been microwaved. Very poor starter. I ordered the chicken Tikka which was an additional charge. What came was a very small portion. Only three pieces of chicken and some pilau rice. You do get a sauce if you want it masala style which didn't look very appetising either.very poor. Took me about 10 minutes to eat my main course and that's with me eating slowly. Not at all satisfying. Now the best bit, the bill. What was a 9.95 meal ended up costing me £18. How, well the dips were extra(apparently all the Indian restaurants in sachiehall street charge for dips) but they don't tell you its extra!! The diet coke and the additonal cost of the Tikka. Popadoms were 90p each. Verdict. Save your money. There are better restaurants than this. Do yourself a favour and avoid and go Somewhwhere else.

A horrible terrible disastrous end to a wonderful trip leading to this year's Hogmanay in Glasgow. After a wonderful 3 day trip in Highlands and a tired drive back to Glasgow me and my spouse chances upon this place as it was close to where we stayed. As somone who loves food and have tasted a huge variety of cuisines, below is a honest review - To the owner/waiter or whoever he was : have a smile. Wouldn't hurt to smile you see. Who would even want to place an order to a totally unwelcoming face. You are a waiter/owner for god's sake and not the Glasgow police. - The taste. Ordered a chicken kebab and a minced basmati biriyani. No comments at all on it. Easily tops my "Worst food ever" list. Only good thing was the pint of Guiness. - The price. Yes..the price I paid for eating is food poisoning for both me and my spouse and a totally spoilt Hogmanay eve in Glasgow. Like paid parking this place is like paid food poisoning. And yeah...a 50pence bottle of Strathmore still water miraculously became a 3.50pound-pint-of-Guiness-equivalent. If you people want to get a very bad first impression of Glasgow or a long lasting bad impression on Indian food please do visit this place. If not i would suggest you avoid this place like a plague. p.s : dont really care if this post lands me in Glasgow prison. Am pretty sure their food would be much better than what is being served here. Cheers..!!
