Really nice hotel. Nice modern rooms. Got very hot at night due to no air conditioning. Breakfast wasn't that great, it tasted very cheap

GOOD: Hotel is well located. David at the front desk tried to help us with any issues we had and helped us get a full refund after leaving on the first night. BAD: Room cleanliness was poor. Lots of dirt and dust, seems like it wasnt looked after at all. Paying £100 plus per room is really not worth it for a room like this. I've stayed in better hostels for £10 a night. Heating currently down in the hotel. Parking is charged at £8 for everytime you leave the car park. Hotel in general seems dated and needs refurb. After paying for 4 nights, we left on the first night and booked elsewhere. For £100 a night, there are far better options elsewhere. The positive was how David seemed genuinely concerned and got us the money back.

I have stayed in many Novotel hotels In India and Europe but this one was clearly sub Novotel standard. Location is really good. Central heating is literally junk. Gave us an additional small heater. Toilet and Bathroom are separate. Toilets don't have washbasin to wash hands after the process which is a bit unhygenic and no central heating in the toilet- which becomes uncomfortable during cold days. House keeping, restaurant takes ages to answer calls and another few ages to fulfil the request. Plus they charge £3 per room service (which is more like a economy hotel). If I have an option I would avoid Novotel Glasgow next time.

The hotel is located quite close to a lively street, with pubs, restaurants, and some shops and it is within walkable distance to the city centre. If you come by train, it is a +-15 minute walk. The room was spacious and clean. In addition the bed was quite comfortable (for me at least). The toilet was separate from the shower and sink, which I personally do not like, but this is just a personal preference. The staff was friendly, nothing to comment on it. The fitness area is quite decent with basic machines, a sauna and steam bath. I didn't expect it to be so well equipped. The fact that is on the top floor is also a plus (much better than basements). The view is not great but it is better than staring at walls. The breakfast was decent but not amazing. They have the standard English breakfast, but it lacked with in variety regarding cheese, bread, and cured meats.

Sonia at the front desk was super helpful. She greeted us with smile and gave us lots of info on ways to enhance our stay. When we arrived in the room, the room was so clean! The bedding material was top notch! So comfy and I fell asleep within minutes after a long journey. Water pressure in the bathroom was perfect. I’ll definitely be back at Novotel again. There’s a pool table at the lounge, the reception looks spacious and bright. Won’t be my last time!

Stayed here overnight courtesy of easyjet when my flight was redirected. Good facilities, central location, and walking distance to Buchan Mall and Queen st station. Bed was very comfortable and room facilities excellent. Breakfast was the usual continental fare with some extra touches.

Everything you would expect from a Novotel or an Accor 4 stars. Room was clean, most of the staff was amazing and the gym/sauna/steamroom are brand new. Book in advance to get a good rate

Usual good Novotel quality. Clean and to a good standard. Small car park in basement handy. Was busy with coaches of tourists during stay impacting meal service but staff very polite and helpful. Good city centre location.

Have mixed emotions on this review. The facilities are great, clean and modern but we had a big issue on sleeping as the sofa bed which was not prepared until about 11:30pm and we had to depart for the airport at 4:30am . We had a really short sleep and lot of stress until the problem was solved. I booked a room for 3 people with the double bed + sofa bed but on our check-in at about 13:00 we were told that the sofa bed will be prepared soon. We came back at 5 pm and the bed was not ready yet and we were reassured that soon will be ready. On our return from dinner at about 21:30 the sofa bed was not ready and the people in reception said that the cleaning team flagged as done and finished the shift. We managed to to go to bed at 23:30 . Hope this does not happens often to other guests.

Hotel was booked through our traveling company EF Go ahead tours. The room itself was spacious. Separate room for the toilet itself which is nice. I don’t rate a hotel on a favorable note if they don’t allow the guest to adjust the room temperature. The thermostat was turned off so I had to crack the window to stay somewhat comfortable. I understand this is a European thing but if you want to make your guests from over the pond happy let us adjust the temperature and not decide for us

Nice hotel. Close to rail station. Good breakfast. However, There is a new building built next to the hotel so it is a Little loud outside and i cant sleep at the morning.

Our stay was great, because I was a member we had free drinks by the hotel and additional 10% on our stay. Staff was extremely helpful and warm. The breakfast was varied and delicious. Was just not happy with the toilet situation where the commode was separated from the main bathroom, and the former was in a very small cubicle which was hard to move in and a bit claustrophobic. Other than that, everything was great and upto every penny worth.

Really pleased with our stay. Very good value in comparison with other hotels we have stayed at nearby previously. Lovely welcome and friendly staff. The room was very comfortable - and decent single bed provided as well as the double - perfect when travelling as a family. Drinks in the bar a bit pricy but a great facility - travelling with under 18 in a city centre just nice to have somewhere to stop and relax when we got in. Terrible weather so we were in the hotel more than anticipated so all very much appreciated.

Second, stay in this hotel and can not believe how much it change- bad way. The room I stay in had a door leading g to another room only lock from other size not mine. I didn't feel like it is safe would be better if is lock on both sides. On arrival I have been informed about food being served (bar/restaurant) until a certain hour. I came downstairs to be told by a rude staff member that ONLY PREORDERED FOOD!!!! When mentioned we haven't been informed when booking a room about it she storm out to speak with someone and never come back for the next 15-20min. Breakfast was a very limited coffee machine that didn't work (you can get only black coffee ) if you were after a white or latte- a jar of milk standing next to it. Jam selection- apricot, scrambled egg with fluid (???) putting you off nothing like it was before.

Exceptional hotel, very clean. Staff are very friendly, helpful, attentive and plenty of them. We had complimentary drinks on arrival. Room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast there was plenty of food to choose from and being topped up all the time and it was hot. We parked our car in the underground car park and for some reason they wavered the fee. In all the best hotel we have stayed in in the UK. Well done Novotel and thank you

Everything about my room was great, and there was even a Nespresso coffee machine - a big bonus! Staff were friendly and helpful. I had booked breakfast but had to leave for work very early and I had a well thought out vegan breakfast bag every morning. I would definitely stay again.

The staff here are great; very helpful and sweet. My friend and I stayed in a room with a fold out and queen mattress. The room itself was fine, what you might expect from mid range price in the UK. The breakfast option was crazy if you have food allergies or are vegan etc, because you won’t have a lot of options to make the price reasonable. The fold out bed was the single most uncomfortable thing I have slept on in my entire life and that’s saying a lot, honestly. Our last morning there a smoke alarm went off in our room for some insane reason that nobody could explain but it went off for about 15 minutes in total. Everything else about our stay there was really good. I’ll say again, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The bed just kinda ruined my sleep, making it a bumpy start to my holiday

Location is central for the city centre to the east and the restaurants, cafe culture to the west. It is approximately 15-20 minute walk from Glasgow Central train station. Breakfast is good with lots of variety, cooked and continental. A comfortable bar and reception area with pleasant staff. Rooms are comfortable although there are building works in progress at the time of writing, which can be heard at times.

We were in Glasgow for only 1 night, but the staff made it wonderful. At check in, the gentleman suggested a stop in Moffat on our way to Bath, evening bring up maps. The room was great, with the sofa already made up for the kids. At check out, a lovely lady made us coffees to go for our early start.

This was my first stay at Glasgow Novotel. My first point of contact with the hotel was Zoltan at reception; he was extremely welcoming and very helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better welcome. My room was very clean and well equipped. I would certainly be happy to return to the Glasgow Novotel and would gladly recommend to others.

What a lovely hotel. Staff are extremely friendly (the only hotel staff to let me and my friend stay). Room cards are wooden which is a nice touch I kept a few they where so nice. Very sturdy light bulbs. Was excellent location for my new construction job. Only real complaint is glasses where not shatterproof. Will definitely be back.....probably around the 4th of December

Budget at best. Dated, dirty carpets, but clean linens (the staff works really hard). The area immediately surrounding is just sad: boarded businesses, filthy trashed streets and alleys, but it doesn't feel at all unsafe, just uncared for by the local government. I recommend staying in a better area.

Big heartfelt thank you to Claire on reception who went above and beyond the realms of customer service to make me feel welcome and at ease. I'd give that lass a pay rise and make sure I kept her if she worked for me. David also, for going out if his way to verify the max height of the underground carpark-information which lead to me removing my roof rack and parking successfully down there. I'd totally recommend this hotel on the front of house staff alone, they are top drawer. A star was removed for the inefficient lift to the car park with no option of a stairs. This was infuriating at times!

Nice hotel. Good size room. Everything was in order and clean. Breakfast was great too. Excellent location minutes away from buses and train lines and walking distance to plenty of activities in downtown Glasgow.

NOVOTEL GLASGOW CENTER is a decent hotel located at Pitts Street. The hotel’s property is nicely built with good spacious rooms. The staff of the hotel is professional and courteous. The food is very nice tastes fresh and good. The hotel is at a good location with many cafes, restaurants etc all around . The very famous Sauchiehall street is at a walking distance from the hotel and so is the queen street station.I am satisfied with the services of the hotel and thanks for making the stay pleasant and memorable.

The rooms do not offer WiFi (or outlets) by the beds. There is neither air conditioning or refrigerators in the rooms. Since you must leave your window open, you will be able to enjoy the symphony of loud cars, louder seagulls (screaming!), and luggage across cobblestone (all heard from the third floor). The staff was excellent and professional. Breakfast buffet was okay. The neighborhood seemed dirty and even somewhat shady.

Hotel management and staff are very rude, they are completely out of their place. The customer service is poor and the hotel management is looking forward to take a profit out of any situation, without any intent to actually solve issues or create value for customer. They canceled our reservations, just because they were made well in advance and at a fair price, so they could give the rooms for 2x the price to other customers. Their reasons are simply lies. One of the worse, if not the worse experience with a hotel in my entire traveling history. Shame on you!

We stayed here one night to lay our heads on our way up to the highlands. We were 2 people but given a family room for $230 (not including breakfast). The prices were raised for the weekend apparently because of a music festival, and I don’t feel the price reflected the quality of room at all. Everything was clean, except the carpets are in dire need of replacing, so much that we did not feel comfortable walking with our bare feet in the room. I would stay here again if I were to find myself passing through Glasgow for convenience, but I wouldn’t pay more than $100 a night.

Good location near the city center and in a quiet place. Breakfast was good but worse than in an ibis, similar hotel of the same chain. Gluten free options available, but just bread and cereals. Regarding the rooms, very old furniture, the toilet was separate from the shower and the ceiling of the toilet was fallen. However, the room was big and clean. The person who attended us at the reception was rude when we tried to ask him questions.

Wonderful friendly service. The food is wonderful with such flavors and the lamb shank was so tender, it just melts in your mouth. The manager went out of her way to fix a problem with my reservation and I have been enjoying myself since then. Plenty of UBER drivers near by as well.

The room was nice and comfortable, and so was the building, but the service was terrible. No one helped us to take the luggage from the car when we arrived. And no one came to take our luggage from the room when we checked out. We had to do it ourselves. The room has no mini fridge, and the toilet is separate from the shower. The housekeeping doesn't come every day and only comes after we book it a day before. The housekeeping only changed the bedsheets and took out the trash without cleaning the bathroom or the floor except for once after we asked them to. When we ordered food from outside the reception wouldn't bring it to our room and said we should come pick it up ourselves. Also, when we wanted to wash some clothes we had to bring them down ourselves to the reception and go pick them up ourselves from it after they were done. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had so far.

Hotel looks great but the rooms look a little dated. Room was booked for one guest but when I arrived the sofa bed was set up. Room wasn't the cleanest but when I spoke to the receptionist they quickly had it cleaned. Bed was bigger than I expected which was nice and staff were all lovely even when I stumbled in at 3am one morning.

when we first arrived the reception was nice staff pretty kind and helpful, but when we checked out our rooms we found human feses on the mattress and bed fell apart with the wood snapping and the bed falling in on itself it wasn't just us who had this problem the people who were staying next to us had the same problems. We were expecting a decent breakfast but were greeted by half the food being burnt and the beans were horrible overall the breakfast the worst and isn't worth the money so we went out and got breakfast someplace else, we were told by reception we were aloud to use the gym (with kids) but then to be told by staff to leave, food at reception INCREDIBLY overpriced £3.00 for Haribos and aeros £2.00 when you can just go to the local shop and get it cheaper, bathroom doesn't have locks and both bath and toilet are separated and was a big let down. Beds were really uncomfortable and is like sleeping on a brick, overall 1/5 stars wouldn't come back.

A well placed hotel for anyone, whether on business or as a tourist visitor to Glasgow. If your into exercising then go prepared so that you're able to make use of the gym on the 6th floor. The bar and restaurant is a lovely place to relax with local beers on offer and the food is excellent. I had a Whitebait stater, then Lamb Shank and mushrooms with mash potato, finishing with Strawberries Romanoff, all presented well and tasted great. It also has the benefit of car parking.
