A cool place to see if you have more than one day in Glasgow. With cows, birds and squirrels all around you really feel in the nature just a few kilometers from the big city. Great place to do sports and also lots of places to sit for a picnic. I liked the Pollok gardens the most.

Great park with easy access by car ( parking costs for 2h is £2,50 or £4,50 for all day). It is a big park with lots of different walks on offer which makes it a great place for families days out and romantic walks with the loved ones. Unfortunately only some walks are wheelchair users accessible but hopefully with time and a lot of work being done in this park that will change soon. In the middle of the park there is a Pollok house that you can visit by extra cost and booking a visit online before arrival.

A great place to go for a walk, especially with your dogs. Our Beagles really enjoyed running around in the huge open space. There were tons of great things to see and there were lots of places to sit and enjoy a bite to eat with great views. We spent hours here and walked 14k steps; we are very excited to visit here again! It's only a few minutes walk from the train station too so it's very easily accessible.

Lovely old building surrounded by green fields, a walled garden and a stream on the other. The national Trust members were very knowledgeable and helpful. Nice cafeteria as well.

Had a lovely morning walk at Pollock Park. There’s a lot to explore, and you can do so without getting too muddy too! On a snowy day or in summer it would look stunning. The parking is a little steep (a fiver) because you need to pay for 4 hours. But it was worth it, I feel buzzing after our walk. Pollock House grounds are very nice, and there is a place to get coffee on site. As a haiku Pollock’s soft embrace, Seasons' charm in nature's space, Walk in a calm place

The grounds are absolutely beautiful! It is such a peaceful place to visit and enjoy. We loved seeing the highland cows. The outside of the home is stunning. We were unable to go inside since it was closed for a wedding.

Just beautiful. I've lived in Glasgow 8 years and never knew such a beautiful park existed. When you're inside you don't feel like you're in the city, beautiful scenery wherever you go. It's so huge you may need to come back again to continue the route. A stunning trail wherever you go. There a cafe and toilets available.

Great for taking your dog, lots of different routes and water flows across the area. Limited parking so bear in mind when the weather is good!! Similar the paths are well laid out so good for families and kids. Expansive area so will take you time to do it all. Wooded areas are also good for exploring.

Such a lovely park to walk around and relax. Plenty of space to unwind and relax, especially when the sun is out! The cafe is lovely and the coffee and cake is lovely, but can get very busy! Enjoy 🙂

Beautiful gardens and house! Car park costs 2.50 pounds for 4h, or 4.50 for full day. To enter the house, 8.50 pounds per adult (concession prices available as well). I did not go into the house as it was closed by the time I went there (closes at 430), but wandered the gardens. Access to the gardens are free and very scenic, perfect for a picnic! There are also some coos to be seen! This would make for a nice one hour stroll in the afternoon.

It is one of the greatest places in Glasgow. There are many facilities and entertainment, and there are many things to do there. There is a museum, playground for kids, pollok house, gardens, and many seats in spectacular areas and views. There are available parking and wheelchair accessible paths and parking. Also, there are many toilets there. You can spend the whole day in pollok County Park. Highly recommended

Good spot for walk & picnic. It has a playground, art museum, restaurants & beautiful highland cows 🐮 parking is little more higher than other places but I guess it’s worth it for those who can stay for 4hrs or more. Cafe inside art museum servers best Hot Chocolate 😋 must try 🙂

Great day out at The Burrell Collection in Pollok Park. Free entry.. £4.50 all day parking. Lovely restaurant, very helpful staff. Good access for wheelchairs, buggy etc. Free guided tours plus an app you can download for information on the exhibits. We'll worth a visit.

I can’t recommend this place enough. I went there with my friend and her two year old. We had a good walk. We enjoyed the gardens, the bridge, the picnic areas the cows and Jethro enjoyed riding his little bike. The main building is in a very delicate state. The maze gardens are picturesque. The view from the benches is totally breathtaking.

Well maintained, family friendly place. I thought strange they charged for parking - which was packed out on a nice Autumn day (lucky it wasn't raining or grass would have been less pretty) when other nearby parks do not - but The Burrell Collection is free! (I figure few would pay to visit the latter if they could walk the grounds for free.) Also plenty of interesting adaptions of the Glaswegian accent present🤣.

Hop on and off at the major attractions at Glasgow!! Best way to see around Glasgow. Tickets can be purchased online or at the main stops. The maps are detailed and help you find useful information for each stops. Trips can be planned based on your preference as you can spend more time you need at your favourite stops.

Standard open top sight seeing bus tour. Hop on, hop off as many times as you like and late running (last bus around 2200) so can really be used all day. All of the main attractions and 2 different audio guides in English plus the live guides who are excellent and who give facts about different places so even if you go round several times you will hear something new!

A cool country park in Glasgow. I can see a lot of things like The Highland Cattle (without necessarily be in Highland). But the place need major revitalization to accommodate people walking around. Really sad that this place still underdeveloped by Glasgow.

This park is stunning, there is so much to explore here, we only done the grounds and walked around the estate, next time we will book to go in to the house. It's so grand and well kept and will definitely visit again, we're went as a family with the grandparents and everyone from 7 to 59 enjoyed it. Went you come in to the park there is restrictions on parking you basically can't use the carparks on site unless you have a disability badge with my son and my mum has. I think if we had to park out side and walk in it would have not been as good, it was far to hot and would not have made it around to the house. Strange why they are doing this as the carpark at the house takes about 120 cars and there was 4 cars in it this was the same for all the carparks on site.

What a beautiful park. With so much green space, it’s great for exercising in. My partner and I came here for a lengthy walk and the scenery is stunning. Huge woodland, ponds, wee garden maze, and a river. What’s not to like?! Made us feel like we weren’t in Glasgow anymore. We live in the East End and actually walked the whole way there, but it was so worth it!

We love Pollok park. There's so much to do with kids. We love going to the fairy garden and dinosaur bones (located past the horse stables, park at riverside car park). The gardens are beautiful in spring and summer and it's always nice to get a hot drink or ice cream from the courtyard cafe at Pollok House. There's also a play park by the Burrell Collection, it's been recently renovated and great for the little ones. Burrell Collection is worth a visit, it has quite a few interactive things for kids and their cafe is nice.

one of the best parks in glasgow! the highland cows make it very special. and they love being fed with carrots and apples, giving you a chance to get really close to them :) i always have great adventures here and find loads of wildlife - plenty of birds around during the day (good place to see great spotted woodpeckers), an occasional deer, and bats and toads at night! it’s a shame to see the park getting overgrown with non-native and invasive rhododendron and Himalayan balsam in places. hopefully they can be managed soon before they smother all the native plants. it’s wild and it’s quiet for the most part, so it’s a great place to relax. also good for picnics!

The most beautiful park I've visited in the Glasgow area. It offers a perfect setting for active family time. The park features a stunning castle where you can enjoy drinks and food. The museum is impressive, and there are plenty of souvenir shops to explore.

Wonderful Glasgow Park, although it is plain that the incompetent City Council manages it. On last visit, several works had been begun, but not a single one was being worked on. Muddy paths too. Rather sad.

One of the best parks in Glasgow especially with the Burrell Collection. Staff are super friendly and helpful. And the building itself is impressive. Love wandering about the gardens and the range of flora. Seen a deer. Best place to see some Highland cows, especially the wee calves at Spring. Love my walks with my partner and my dog here on the weekends. There's so much space that even when it seems busy, it never feels too overcrowded.

My daughter and I love visiting pollock park, we come here for tree climbing and exploring through the woods as well as a picnic. We visit the play park every once and a while and it’s always kept clean and nothing is broken! We enjoy going into the burrow collection when it’s cold for a hot drink before heading home.

My daughter went with her friends for a picnic. But a dog attacked on their food. The owner was busy on phone all the time. Only said sorry and did nothing. What if the dog had bitten them. My daughter n her friends came back traumatised. Park security should do something to deal with these kind of incidentsin future.

A lovely park in the middle of Scotland's biggest city. It really is a "getaway from the hustle and bustle" place. Great just to wander around. The park authorities take great care in looking after it and everything is well maintained and tidy. Plenty of wild deer roaming the area too. Well worth a visit if you just want to escape the city and chill for a few hours.

One of the best places in Glasgow to get away from the crowds during the pandemic and relax in the nature environment. Tourist centre was closed same as toilet, better be aware of this, prepare some snacks for picnic would be a great option since there's plenty green field. Bringing a bike to riding around is also popular here.

Lots to explore, with things of interest for all ages. Gardens and parkland are well maintained. Animals to see, a fairy village to investigate, dinosaurs?!, and plenty of places to sit and relax. Very easily accessible by car thanks to the proximity to the M77. It was busy when we visited but given how much space there is, it was easy to maintain social distancing, and everyone seemed to be making an effort to do so.

I definitely recommend the HOHO bus if you have an hour to kill in Glasgow. It was well worth the cost to get a tour of the entire city, hearing the history from a good live guide. I saw so many interesting buildings and areas. (We had a short time here on a cruise ship for the day (docked in Greenock) - we did it on our own and fit in the Necropolis, Glasgow Cathedral, St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art, Provand's Lordship, the HOHO bus, lunch at George Square and Rick Steves "Glasgow Walk" from his book.)

(Translated by Google) A great way to easily move around the sights in Glasgow. The choice of the coach with guidance in English turned out not to be very happy because the supervisor was played loudly through the speakers via the microphone. Fortunately there is a bus with a multilingual version (from a tape) where you get free earplugs and in addition to the sound strength you can also choose from 8 languages where we liked the voice of the Schot Neil Oliver: he also kept his mouth shut occasionally. ..... Sitting on the part with the open deck turned out to be laborious because of the many tree branches that the bus can throw. The information spoken along the way is plentiful but interesting. The frequency of driving was also excellent, so you never had to wait long for transport. It is a pity that the last bus departs relatively early, but because almost all museums are closed, that makes sense.

90min trip around Glasgow with earphones or live commentary. The earphones are available in many other languages. The trip takes you around many of Glasgow's attractions and gives the history of this lively city. We went on the bus for a round trip from George Square and decided where we would head to spend our limited time. This was a well run, quality trip that leaves every 15mins throughout the day.

Our main reason to be there was to see the highland cows, and we weren't disappointed. The park itself was also very nice. The shuttle bus make it even easier to get around.

Beautiful park, kept in great condition. Would recommend for walkers , joggers and families alike. The Burrell Collection is part of the estate as well as Pollock House which is part of the National Trust for Scotland.

It's so serene and luxuriant with green!!! There's so much to do here, one can never get bored. Explore the trails, parks, play area. The Highland cattle is an added attraction. 😊 I am definitely going to visit again soon. Have fun sightseeing!

this is the largest and only country park in Glasgow.. free entry and a lots of parking space for bikes near the Pollock house and Burrell Collection... very very nice nature conservatory area 🍀 public toilets in Pollock house and the collection are clean enough! you can take the train from glasgow central station for just £2.5 and it takes 9min only to reach ! tip: take your favourite book, grab a cup of coffee from coffee bar and find a space under a tree near the collection to spend some quality moment with nature ✨

Unfortunately, we only had about an hour to spare to visit the park in June this 2023, so we had a quick, yummy lunch near the Burrell Collection, but no time to visit the Collection itself, then a walk around part of the park, down to the House and Bridge (the bridge being an Outlander filming location) but no time to visit the inside of the house. Seeing the Highland Cows and their calves on the walk was a highlight. Very peaceful areas to sit and relax if you have time. Expensive parking if you're there for a short while and want to go to a couple of car parks. I'd like to visit in the future for a whole day, leaving the car in 1 place and walking around the whole grounds.

This splendid house is in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. Beautiful grounds, riverside walks and picnic areas. Parking is expensive unless you are an NTS member. Easy walk to the nearby Burrell Collection. Nice tea room and outdoor seating. Dogs not allowed in the house or tea room unless assistance dog.

Such a great park. Lovely place to go for a stroll and visit the Burrell Collection. Quite quiet during the day but can get quite busy on the weekends.

We REALLY wanted to see the hairy highland cows while in Scotland because they’re advertised everywhere but I think maybe due to bad luck and windy, cold, rainy weather, we couldn’t seem to find them anywhere! BUT after a lot of research I discovered this park and we literally drove hours and hours just to see them. It was completely worth it because they’re still roaming around pretty freely and they come right up to you for excellent photos! We saw one woman brought carrots and all the cows came flocking over to her and we came up to them after to snag some photos of our own!
