23/06/2023 Me and my group came to this location on the 23rd of June 2023 to see MUSE live in concert first time I have ever visited Bellahouston park I was impressed at the amount of greenery and how large it was. you got to take a nice walk through the park same plenty of trees and wildlife before we actually got to the venue I can see why this is an extremely popular place for outdoor concerts and venues if you get the chance to see a band life here you must jump on it the first chance you get

Lovely park. Attended for Green day and there was plenty of space with 3 exits. There's also a kids play area and a designated dog park. Grass wasn't boggy, there's plastic underlay to help with heavy rain/boddy-ness

The Bellahouston Park - very nice and friendly place for everyone. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, you will find a quiet corner on a hill with benches and a beautiful view of the city panorama. For children, a large playground behind the sports center.

To see my fav band MUSE since high school!! Unforgettable memory๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿป it takes almost 30 mins from city center to this place, so we left a bit earlier to catch up the train.

Dog walkers paradise. Couple of great cafes and loads of kids play areas and things to see. Itโ€™s not beautiful but itโ€™s functionally perfect. Family friendly fun

Lots of space, great for going to gigs but absolutely horrible when it rains. Only a small section of the park has coverings on the ground when the area is used for gigs. So be prepared to be slipping around if it rains!!

Easy to access by public transport and car with a few car parks around Bellahouston. You'll fins a leisure centre, some sculptures, a walled flower garden, house for an art lover and a few cafes (house for an art lover vafe is lovely but with ecceptionally slow and disorganised service). There's a dog park with high fences and a double kissing gate to keep them safely in. There's well maintained paths and forested areas as well as open field space. Unfortunately there is always a lot of litter and broken glass and not all dog walkers are responsible so if you're looking for a park to picnic in- keep looking! But if you want to go for a jog or let the kids gain confidence k their bikes its a great choice. At the moment there are some flooded, boggy areas due to ongoing water works (expected to go until 2023 according to a grounds maintenance person but that seems unlikely...)

It was freezing cold and raining and we still had fun. The best thing about the play park is the space to run. The twist climbing frame, the Viking house, the wooden arch, alien space ship slide and zip slide (and more) are spread across a grassy hillside. It can get a little muddy in places but it's just wonderful to run around and a perfect place for hide and seek. When it got too cold we went to the House of an Art Lover cafe for excellent cake and scones. It also has an outside sitting area for those smart enough to go on a sunny day.

Only been here for a couple of gigs. Had a great time! First time we went to see The Cure, one of the best bands I've seen live. Then Foo Fighters the next night, just as well I wore my wellies. lol. Then seen Greenday last year, the queues for the drinks were unbelievably busy and very limited drinks. The T-shirt stand was cash only which is weird since most places only take card now, so I missed out on buying a t-shirt.

Was at a Burns Lunch in the House. What a beautiful place. Lived all my days just a few miles away and wasn't sure where it was. Will be back in better weather for a good look round as weather was terrible. Will keep all updated.

A great and varied park on the southside or the city. Wooded Hill in the middle. Bellahouston sports centre one side, Palace of art sport halls on the other. House for an art lover ajoining so good for a macintosh trail visit. Lots of different paths and variety if gradients to customise and vary a walk. Lovely views in winter.

Brilliant place. Was here for the Green Day gig and it was superb. Only let down was the bars were mental busy and wait times seemed like they took forever. Done amazing work on the grounds though as I was expecting it to be muddy with all the rain we had but it was fine.

Great park, lots of different paths and areas to explore, relatively well maintained. There is an extensive playground but I've docked one star because a couple of bits of equipment are broken which is a bit of a disappointment but given the volume of kids that play on it it's no real surprise. My favourite parts are the walled garden and the long avenue up to the elephant sculpture. Enjoy!

Great gig (Green Day & Fall Out Boy) the park was really well configured to support the event. Clean, simple to find where I was going, well organised. Great venue, amazing event.

Nice Park but the abundance of dog mess everywhere meant we had to cut our visit short due to our youngest getting covered falling on the grass. Just pick it up in a bag, please๐Ÿ˜”

It's a lovely park but such a shame it's not kept cleaner. Lovely views from the top of the small mound in the middle. Perfect for dog walks. There's a play park and it's ok, however we've found there's lots of rubbish, including broken glass every time we go. Such a shame as it really is a nice park.

Used to be my favourite park but it's forgotten about and neglected now. The children's play area is tired and overgrown with weeds. Badly needs updating. We had to climb over the long grass and weeds to get to the equipment. It's unsafe and not child friendly at all. The grass is cut in some areas and not others and actually stops before the children's play area. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ GGC needs to do more.

Decent regular sports centre that hosts a flea market in the main hall on Sundays. Small park around it and the building itself has a nice Art Deco look to it. Plenty of parking but it is also often full, so plan accordingly.

I was at the front steps of the Palace of Art, however, I was really looking for A House for an Art Lover. I have a friend who has a pottery piece in an exhibition there. But House for an Art Lover is deep in the park and I was myself, and there appeared to be works in the park, so I decided to opt for the nearest bus stop and get a Paisley bus.

Very nice concert; The Muse and two fine support bands. Not lacking in rain. If going for an event then plan and book your return journey in advance. We ended up walking three miles back, in even more rain! Would I do it again? By Jove yes! (With a decent exit strategy.)

HUUUUGE Park. Great location for a gig. Finished by 11pm as homes very close by. Portaloos always disgusting, but that's what you always get at these gigs. Definitely enough of them, so no ones waiting long! Loads of stalls for food. Enough variety. Enough big screens viewable from all directions. As you may be at the back and only see specs otherwise! Good platforms for those with additional needs and their carers.

Used to be a great park. Was a favourite when I was young in the late sixties early seventies. Park has been neglected over the years. Pitch and putt closed. No longer great views from up at the Great exabition monument.

  • 5/5 Katrina M. 9 months ago on Google
The actual grounds were great. It was for a concert, was all very organised. Toilets were clean and tidy. It was chaos leaving, no signage for buses or taxis, no one knew where they were going. Could maybe put in buses back into the city and that would have really made the night great

Visited to use the (free) dog run for photos. Lucked out and got it to ourselves for 45 minutes. Big park with various paths, Palace of Art, House for an Art Lover (with cafรฉ), Bellahouston Sports Centre with pool. Small parking areas at various entrances with larger one at sports centre. Picnic tables dotted about and kids play park.
