It could be quite chilly up on the top gantry platform so visitors might think of a jacket. Cool maritime and historical heritage from the old & famous John Brown Engineering Shipyard that built and launched many a famous British ship from Liners to Warships. Well worth a visit if you have a head for heights!!

The crane itself stands tall in memory of the clydes history with ship building. It was the world's first electrically powered cantilever crane. A few years ago I decided to throw myself off the crane for fun. Had an awesome time.

Fascinating museum looking not only at the crane itself, but the shipbuilding history of the area. Make sure you take a coat if the weather is bad, and a proper camera if it's good.

Great food, terrible app. App for ordering food is terrible, we almost couldn't order due to it. Won't be going back till they remove this horrible dining experience.

A superb example of the world class engineering and industry that Clydebank could justifiably boast about. It's sad that so little remains of those heady days, but it's worth a visit to get a feel for the range and scale of activities that contributed to putting the "great" into great Britain.

Unique attraction from the days of shipbuilding on the Clyde. Great view from the top. Pity it's not better publicised!

Better known as a Titan Crane, completed in 1907, this was the first of the four surviving cantilever cranes on the Clyde. Currently closed to allow maintenance work and repairs to be carried out.

Really interesting tour, got to hear lots about the crane and the history of the surrounding area. Also excellent views from the top (although that's a bit weather dependent :) )

Sited within the old John Brown's Shipyard, it offers great views from the top of the surrounding area.

There's a lot of Construction work round about this large crane in what used to be John Brown's Shipyard in Clydebank . I worked here several times, the last time in the late 90s and certainly this crane was working then and certainly it still looks in some sort of working order . Of course this is a monument to Clydebanks shipbuilding heritage, it built the Queen Mary and the Queen Elizabeths, a proud past indeed.

I recomend as a restaurant as the food is lovely but I would not recomend for functions. We booked the function room for a after funeral gathering and when we walked in it smelled badly of urine the toilet doors had been propped open with chairs though which is probably what caused it. I also asked about sandwiches when booking and I was told it would be ones like cheese, tuna ect but the only options on all the trays where thick ham which was not the greatest and extreamly smelly egg sandwiches which where also not a great option in an already smelly room. The sausage rolls where nice and the staff member was lovely and very attentive which was good though.

😠 Very poor, little or no information about local history or industries. Very disappointing. I feel vexed for people who are tracing their heritage and go there expecting to find a mine of information. Quite frankly, the Museum is an embarrassment to Clydebank.
