Great place for a lovely nature walk. Great for those with mobility limitations. Beautiful scenery. Pictures are from autumn 2022- April 2023

The park isn’t clean at all, the rubbish is just everywhere with tins and plastic flying around. Also, the grass isn’t even cut and the bushes are very high which just destroys the pleasure and comfort part. There are bunches but the view is blocked by high bushes which are not cut since a while. I would say not a pleasant place anymore. Views are great but the environment isn’t so good because of poor management.

Lovely park for a run of to walk the dog. The majority of the track is flat with one up hill section in the middle. The scenery is beautiful and well worth the vist. If you just fancy a stroll there is a coffee shop in sight. During the summer months there is also water sports on the lake.

Relaxing walks around a medium sized lake. The paths are in good condition. The lake is home to many ducks, swans and gease and there is also a playground. In winter, the lake is very pretty. Parking can be challenging.

Went for the park so my son could run around but the wee walk from car was lovely, fed the ducks, walked over a cute bridge to it. Next time will walk round the loch though. Lots of kids go round the loch on their scooters so im assuming the ground is flat enough x

Please, if you have the ability, go here. Spend the time getting to this spot and just be. We walk to exercise, and I walk to heal. This spot itself offers nothing but peace and restoration.

With the visitor centre now open with cafe, this is an excellent park to spend a day. There are different walking tracks which can work for all from just a mile to long paths through the woods. There are two play areas for the kids, one for small ones and other one for older kids.

We have been going to seven lochs wetlands Park (hogganfield loch) for many years now and it is a great place for a family walk, play in the park, feed the birds, walk the dog or even a burger from the food van. All year round it is very scenic and peaceful when you go at the right time. It can sometimes get a little busy at weekend peak times. However the loch is what you make of it and is a great place to be with the family.

Love this place - so tranquil and an easy walk round if you’re like me and not to great at distance walking. Nice tea room too - lovely to sit and have a coffee and lovely k over the wetlands. Great for dog walkers, families, couples and those just out to clear your head and get some fresh air. Good car park with electric chargers and play areas for those young at heart

Lovely open space great for a breath of fresh air and a good walk. Bit chilly at this time of year and not much cover so wrap up well ! Fantastic amount of birds around especially swans and ducks. Obviously thriving in this landscape. Would have stayed longer but unfortunately visitor centre was closed. Be a nice place to visit in Spring or Summer.

It was a nice loch to walk round. 2 play sites for children lots of the usual water birds on the loch. Its just a pity about the horrendous amount of litter on the approach roads to some of the lochs.

Saturday 1st... very busy! Play area very crowded, distancing of adults not ideal. Great outdoor space and walking areas, though a bit water-logged underfoot in places. One of our favourite family destinations.

Nice circular walk about 1 mile long with options to go much longer walks if you want. Swing park good for smaller children. Lots of ducks and swans. Good place to spend a few hours and lots of parking. Take a picnic the cafe not up to much, with very limited choice, nice wee area that's sheltered through automatic doors from cafe to eat.

The beach is brilliant ,you look left and right and it's golden sand as if you were in Spain .the car park has space for 100/150 cars , swing park for the children and you can camp for FREE , sorry £2 to park all day.l A good surprise if go ! About 10/15 mile by Edinburgh on the A1 .

    Beautiful walk

Play park is great and has lots to offer. The cafe from experience is usually quite poor as they provide a very basic which never really impresses. There is really only one walk the you can do the goes around the loch but it's enjoyable enough.

Huggy loch has a good clean tarmac surfaced path for walking or cycling. Great for a couple -or 3- laps for exercise. Walking for exercise is the only reason I go there, but others go to cycle, jog or to walk their dogs. You can do birdwatching there-I believe there is a club- and coarse fishing is available too. The grounds and play areas are kept tidy, there is very little litter. There is ample car parking and cars can be parked on the roadside nearby. It can become over-crowded during holiday periods, so plan your visit to suit. Go at a time which lets you get the most enjoyment, whether it's mixing with the crowd or being out on your own enjoying some peace and quiet. Oh! And don't feed the birds bread. Buy a bag of bird feed instead, the council at least will appreciate this as it won't encourage vermin and is better for the birds.

Great peaceful place away from the town. Very peaceful plenty of paths to walk along, lots of meandering trails to follow and they are nearly all signposted. There a cafe and a great view of the loch. It's a beautiful day out for walking or just relaxing on a seat, I so wish they would bring the boats back again.

Went with granddaughter who was excited to see soo many awesome white swans ,geese and ducks who were not shy in coming straight to us for bread and fruit . We enjoyed the lovely day as many others did Was a bit disappointed as no sanitizer station to clean hands when entering play park or leaving But we had our own wet wipes We played at pirates Ahoy captain Jessica! We had fun . And rounded off with an ice cream .

This used to be a good place to spend the day , but is in need of a good tidy up and some money spent on bringing the play park up to date , along with the paddle boats .would also be helpful if people took there rubbish home with them instead of chucking it in the water etc .
