Great local park - much quieter than Kelvingrove. The little coffee stand is shut for the moment though. There are toilets on site.

Great for a run, the circumference of the park is 1.6k (1 mile) if you follow the tarmac round the outskirts. Great for dogs, supposed to be kept on leash but if they're well behaved nobody minds them being off. As long as they stay off the flower beds, and clean up after them. The rugby pitch unfortunately has mess left by irresponsible owners, so be careful. Basketball and tennis courts. Play park with maze, swings etc. Fossil grove in the south west corner, very interesting. Look out for the flock of parakeets in the trees next to the pond, they must have emigrated!

Lovely public park in the west end of Glasgow. Plenty of free on street parking nearby. Only slight disappointment is that the Fossil Grove is now only open on very limited circumstances - 1 Sunday afternoon per month for 6 months of the year.

Just the place for anyone to enjoy and relax. Went there last weekend for the first time and we'll definitely be back. Wildlife at the pond amazing, walked the whole perimeter of the park, plenty of seats and tennis courts etc and finished off with a whipped ice cream 🍦...

The dog absolutely loves it here, plenty of space to throw a ball and a pond where he enjoys cooling off. It's his dream location!

Nice park, great nature interaction for kids with lot's of ducks and swan's to feed. You can also play with fish in a bucket and let them go home before you go πŸ˜‰. Very nice playground, ice cream, coffee and clean toilets.

Great big park which is fenced in, which makes it safer for kids to run around and has lots of seating near the gates and under the trees, beautiful pond and great large grass areas to play. Has tennis courts so bring your rackets. Great to cycle and scooter around with kids.

Lovely park for a walk. Ducks and swans in the pond. Big smooth paths and clear markings. Grassy areas and a playpark. Several entrances/exits. Good for running or taking kids and dogs. Beautiful view over the pond, which has a little arched bridge at one end. Poorly lit - good for wildlife, but a bit tricky if walking at night.

Lovely, easywalk. All on the level. Gorgeous sunshine and a nice ice cream at the end of the walk ended the afternoon well. Only downside, fossilised tree exhibition was not open. Check opening times if this is of interest to you.

Great Park for kids and dog walkers alike. Pond with ducks and a small bridge over the pond that is really cute. Usually, a food van is there to buy food and soft drinks. Potable toilets

Lovely, extremely well maintained park. The lake is beautiful with swans, ducks and other birdlife. Good play area with plenty of activities. Small maze could be improved and made more attractive.

  • 3/5 Peter T. 1 year ago on Google
Nice park, play area has good climbing equipment for my 2 year old. Lots of facilities - although I was only at the play park! Some equipment for older kids damaged, with a climbing frame blocked off and scramble frame on a ship also blocked off. There is a maze but hedges now thin with gaps and much of the play equipment within it broken.

So many happy memories of Victoria Park. My aunt and uncle used to live very close to it. It was always an escape to another world for me as a kid. As a parent, I still find it one of the best parks in the Glasgow area for family walks a d breathing space.

My favorite park in Glasgow !Very close to west end by the car or 15-20 minutes walking distance from Partick . The park is very clean and tidy ,there are a pond with swans and a lot of ducks .You can go for jogging ,walking or you can relax with your favorite book !

Lovely park full of ducks, swans and moorhens. Plenty of grassy areas to sit for a picnic and benches to sit and peacefully watch the world go by. Bins appear to be collected more often that other parks in the city such as queen's park.

A nice place to visit over summer. The water in the pond has been very low for some time, which is a shame. Used to see frogs and newts there back in the day.

This park has hidden treasure...enter main gate and walk left as far as you can then walk forward as far and then walk right...the fossil Grove...lovely place for both history.....pre human.....and a picnic delight spot.

I have great memories of Victoria Park In Whiteinch, I used to go there with my mates in the 1950s, the one of the things that has changed is the entrance from Balshagary Avenue, it used to have huge gates and an avenue of trees and flower beds, it has changed since the tunnel was built, we had a nice walk round with me remembering the pond, tennis courts, and football pitches, it's a pity the Fossil Grove is closed but we will visit when this Covid-19 is over.

This is a great park for family, runners, bikers, dog walkers, Pretty much anyone. The pond itself is a decent enough size but can become quite grubby looking around the bottom due to debris thats fallen in & swan/duck muck. Has lots of different wildlife that use it! from Swans to the local Seagulls, which can be annoying when your kids have just fed the ducks. The Swans can poo outside on the path so need to watch your step at times, as can become dirty. The park has beautiful flower gardens & stunning big weeping willows hanging over the smaller pond areas, these really are stunning trees & complement the park, especially when in full leaf. There is an ancient fossilized tree area up at the back end of the park ( Fossil Grove) interesting but not a great deal to look at other than a few stone tree stumps! Smaller Kids will get bored quite quickly as theres nothing else inside except these. Theres a great swing park, tennis area & loads of ground for kids to have fun in general throughout the spring/summer months. Overall a decent park with a few bits & pieces to keep the kids occupied or a nice stroll around. Has access to main areas of Scotstoun/ Whiteinch & Dumbaron Rd.

To my fellow Friends of Victoria Park. With the help of my a child (socially distancin g)we embarked on a excursion, brimming with joyful anticipation to complete the Treasure Hunt (so called, bah!) Alas, to our ever increasing dismay, the 5th clue was missing (!!) Whilst the 6th clue was nothing more than a bogus sham. Me and the child shall not be perusing your green space in the near future- and believe Me, child is very restless during these troubled times. Dissapointing ! Yours sincerely Baldrick and child P.s. I would have put 0 stars, but Google is stopping me. Shame on you. P.P.S Don't talk to me or this child ever again . P.P.P.S Child is crying. Thanks.

There are no longer any catering or boating facilities on the pond. It has been developed as a sanctuary for aquatic birds - grebes, coots, mallards, moorhens and gulls. In the neighbouring fenced-in pool as well as the above there are also swans, herons and scavengers (jackdaws, crows, magpies) and large flocks of pigeons..
