Had a great group lesson with Mark W in December 2021. Lesson was for level 3 but he also allowed up to venture into level 4 tasks. Felt good about what was taught and have booked my next lesson already. The slope and gear is great however reception staff were lacking some costumer service skills and the toilets would benefit from more regular cleaning.

I've been going here for years, it's good to keep your snow skills going all year round. Myself and a friend were there last Sunday night for the last hours of the open day and we were the last two on the slope, the staff member Chris was at the top of the Poma but didn't have anyone to look out for falling so he came out and showed me how to do some tricks on the snowboard and also gave me the confidence to ride the box, I've never wanted to do it in case I went flying off the side in front of crowds but as it was empty and he gave me instruction on how to ride it I went for it. Thanks Chris, you went above and beyond.

Great day at Snow Factor! Only my second time snowboarding so was still wary but the slope and facilities were perfect as a starter. Be aware though if you have no snowboarding ability at all and do go for a £55 lesson (Far too pricey) and opt for the full day £30 lift pass then you can potentially be asked to leave the slopes because of danger to yourself and others. The staff were great though and allowed a few runs until we found our feet and picked it up a little bit more. Lesson next time to advance some of my basic skills I think!

My husband and myself had enjoyed so much our 2nd snowboarding lessons with Andy! We came with no background but it was always something we wanted to try. We are really looking forward to our third lesson to be able in the future to enjoy a ride by ourselves! Also the staff is very friendly and there is really good facilities and a nice bar where you can relax after the lesson. I would recommend to go in the morning cause it's less busy 😊

Started my first snowboard lesson on reopening week back in November, was a little challenging as a beginner, but I had fun. Level 2 later that week was not good at all. Being overweight does not make it easy, and I couldn't stand up on the heel edge. With Bradley and James perseverance and making a ledge technique, I started to get there. However had to go back and redo the level 2 as we ran out of time. Onto the level 3 a few weeks later. Was definitely getting easier now, and again thanks to Bradley, we progressed onto level 4 turns as well. Few weeks later and we finished up our lessons on the big slope. Thanks to miles and patsy for the help and advice. Have now been and had a full day ski pass, and having a great time on the big slope, still require some practice and experience, but getting better every run. Overall a great experience, wish I'd done this years ago. Never too late for a mid life crisis! Thanks again to everyone at Snow Factor!!

First time ice climbing with Richard as our instructor. Was a great laugh and interesting to learn the technique. It definitely felt like longer than an hour. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I did our first skiing lesson here and it was amazing! Tim, our instructor was patient, encouraging, and really helped us to feel more confident on the slope (something I never thought I'd say)! We'll definitely be back for another lesson!

I've been going to Snow Factor for almost 3 years now. I do enjoy it for what it is; there isn't any alternative available (especially in the summer months). Most of the staff is lovely. Prices are up, but that's understandable. The 3 negatives I can think of: 1. The balcony that leads to the bar from the slope is closed half the time and you're forced to go through the whole establishment to reach the bar. 2. On certain days, half the slope is designated for tricks and is closed off. This forces everyone to ski on only one half of the slope. 3. I don't see why the 2 Pomas don't operate at two different speeds when it's busier. One should be faster for advanced skiers. One should be slower for beginners. Just a thought 😀 There is one distinct gentleman with a red helmet that sometimes gets summoned at the bottom of the slope. I'm not sure if he is the owner or someone fooled him into believing he is. He tends to shout at kids to put their masks over their nose or at adults if they're going too fast, etc. I understand he is following the anti-scientific rules of this countries' troglodyte rulers, but he could try and communicate like a human. I'm usually all for equal opportunities, but I usually recommend a pause from professing after reading an entire Guardian article or in the event of a lobotomy.

Great lesson with Lucy last week. I did my Level 4 snowboarding group lesson and whilst all the instructors have been great, Lucy has been the best thus far. She was very approachable, attentive and a great coach. She genuinely cared and made sure I got the best out of my lesson. Hoping to hit the main slope soon so I’ll be back in touch for a private with her!

Great place for real snow experience. You will need change of clothes and a proper winter gear. They can rent these out to you too. Changing rooms and lockers available too. You can book a ski or snowboard session or sledging for kids. No mater what is outside, here is a winter wonderland so dress super warm. There is a lovely bar at the top with a balcony looking over the ski slopes. Ambient with make you fe like you are at the bottom of the Alps with wooden interior and lovely German sausages and other similar food. Also very good for kids parties with sandwiches and sledging after. Recommended for kids and adults, together or apart, you wont fail from having fun

Honestly couldn’t ask for a better place to learn skiing. Even in the first lesson, you feel immense confidence because they teach you really well. Our instructor Kristina was extremely helpful, and very patient, even when our turns were monstrous. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again.

My comments from last week don’t look like they loaded, but that’s a good thing as it gives me an opportunity to provide an updated review. My 10 year old son has now had 3 lessons, each with a different instructor - Ian, Alec and Kat. All of them have been fantastic and all have a great way with the kids, making it loads of fun as well as progressing the technical elements much faster than I expected. Having never tried skiing before, my son is already half way through skills 4 after these 3 lessons. Couldn’t be happier with the quality of instruction as well as the service and friendliness of all the staff. Well done Snow Factor Team!

I started snowboarding lessons here in November. I certainly didn’t take to it like a fish to water 😀. The instructors were amazing though and now I’m hooked. I can’t thank the team enough. Their passion and willingness to share knowledge is commendable. Particularly James, who’s coaching tips on anything from linking turns to waxing boards have made me fanatical about the sport and kept me coming back to practice more, any spare hour I can. Also, huge thanks to the glorious customer service team for dealing with all my bodged bookings. Rarely, have I felt this valued by a leisure facility.

Had 4 lessons so far (L1x2, L2, and a private lesson). Simon gave the first L1 and was great with a full group. We then did a second L1 with David in a smaller group and that's when it really clicked with us. The group L2 didn't go great so we booked a private lesson with David as his style suited us the best. Honestly cannot thank him enough. I had a few pretty tough falls on my wrist in the L2 so my confidence sucked. However David is a natural teacher and I immediately felt at ease and trusted him. Within the hour I was totally confident again and able to heel edge down comfortably. David is 100% worth the money and wouldn't go with anyone else.

Snowfactor was the best ski slope I’ve ever been to. They had amazing features and amazing workers. There freestyle community @dasswamp was great, wish they would open back up. Truly the best ski slope in Scotland

Great for kids to experience sledging and skiing. I took a 6 year old girl from Cambodia, along with 2 Scottish children. The girl from Cambodia had never seen snow but very quickly adapted to the snow - and especially sledging. It is a safe environment for children and helmets and sledges are provided.

Lucy was an amazing instructor for my first boarding lesson. She made me feel so comfortable and had very clear explanations of what to do. Will definitely be coming back!!

This 5 star review is especially for Tim! My 4 year old daughter had her first lesson with Tim today and he did a phenomenal job! My daughter enjoyed herself, laughed a lot , learned more than I expected (including little jumps) and was kept safe during the entire lesson. Most importantly my daughter came off the slopes wanting to come back for another lesson! Tim did not discourage my daughter at any point , he did not show any sign of impatience and he even offered her a final round of skiing at bang on finishing time which was a nice end for her first lesson. From the second he met her he was extremely friendly & approachable , managed to break the ice with her right away and began teaching in a fun way. Thank you Tim for increasing my 4 year olds confidence , for making her laugh and see skiing as a fun experience !

After a good few years away from snowboarding I decided to book a private lesson to refresh my memory. My session with Simon was exactly what I was after, he was excellent at helping tweak my movements and talking me through what I could improve. Looking forward to going back soon!

Lovely visit to have a refresher ski lesson. Christina was really helpful and friendly she gave us lots of tips to ensure the ski lesson went well for all 3 of us of differing levels. The time just flew by and we will definitely be back. Thank you Christina!

I had booked a refresher lesson today as it had been 5 years since I skied last and was worried about going on my upcoming ski holiday. Matthew my instructor was incredible, put me at ease straight away, such a nice person who encouraged me to have confidence in my abilities. Would highly recommend him. Thanks Matt.

I absolutely love this place. I have been coming here every week since December with my two children aged 9&10. I can't rate the staff highly enough. The reception staff are friendly, welcoming and very accommodating when I've had to book, change and cancel lessons. All 3 of us have taken snowboarding & skiing lessons here. The instructors are all so lovely, really warm & friendly and always ask how we're getting during every visit. They are all amazing instructors and really good with the kids. I would highly recommend all the instructors Miles, Simon, Gav, Chris & Lucy. Unfortunately I can't remember everyone's names these are just a few of the wonderful team at snow factor.

Friendly place to learn snowboarding on real snow without having to go too far from Glasgow. Did a series of private lessons with my wife and found the instructors to be excellent. Each one had good tips and suggestions to improve based on how we were progressing. Thanks to C, Lucy, JJ, Simon, Holly and Bradley. After completing level five you get a bonus two hours free on the slopes to practice in your own.
