I parked in "Parking Lot" found to the left of Pollok House on Google Maps and run by Ring Go at £2.80 for 4 hours using their app. Free to National Trust members if you go to the house to claim a ticket. Fabulous huge park. Fabulous house. Nice cafe in the basement with inside and outdoor seating. And now, in May 2023, the daffs have finished, bluebells are coming azaleas and rhododendrons are blossoming.

It is one of the greatest places in Pollok, a great house with fabulous gardens. The view is amazing. There are many seats around the house, so just set and chill and enjoy the great view. You can see the house from outside, the gardens and all other outside facilities for free. However, to see the house from inside, you need a ticket. And you can buy them upon arrival. I couldn't enter the house from inside because my phone was not charged, and it was about to switch off. There will be more photos for the next visit. Highly recommended.

A gem of a place in the middle of a green oasis South of central Glasgow. Pollock Park is the place for a walk, a picnic, a run, a dog walk, a family reunion, a wedding photo shoot, for fairy visiting, for rolling on the grass, for admiring fresh salads growing at ease and for bumblebee and bird spotting. Fie the house, there is an entrance fee if you'd like to visit, but it is well worth a visit if only to talk to a bunch of very knowledgeable volunteers and peek into a servant's undeground life. Also, there are a lot of fluffy highland cows on the pastures surrounding it.

Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings, staff were very friendly and informative, due to current times as with many National Trust properties they are struggling to survive so please visit and help them out👍

So beautiful! A must visit !!!!! Take a picnic and sit by the canal, it's absolutely stunning and such fresh wild flowers !! Entry fee is 7.50 for adults but worth the history and a look at the cafe downstairs! Great food for people with dietary requirements and just plain delicious! Had an avocado cake which was heaven!!

Pollok House is an NTS property situated close to the Burrell Collection. It is a splendid house with downstairs open for viewing during our visit. Parking is free for Trust members or £10 for all day, £5 for four hours plus app add on of 40p. Access for cars has been recently changed (in 2023), and cars can no longer travel through the park from the Burrell to Pollok House. There is no free parking at the Burrell for Trust members. The gardens are lovely to stroll around but some looked very weedy and overgrown and other parts needed restoration back to their former glory. There are dozens of substantial park benches to enjoy the peace of the place. The river flows past and there are many wooded walks with many modern benches to take a wee rest. It's definitely worth a visit.

Stunning architecture with extraordinary interiors and beautiful gardens. I'm surprised this place isn't more popular among locals and tourists — it's a must-visit for anyone in Glasgow. The only letdowns would be the peeling paint inside, the disappointing second floor (what presumably used to be the sleeping quarters, but is now an uninteresting gallery) and the insufficiently presented servants floor. Nonetheless, a wonderful sight, especially with highland cattle on its doorstep.

This is the best old house in Scotland. With art exhibits, traditional furniture and expert staff, all guests are impressed. The grounds and gardens are also vast and wide with Hairy Coos roaming many fields. The only thing I’d like more of is Pollock and Maxwell tartans, crests and other traditional clan items for purchase. All hail the Pollock and Maxwell clans.

Nice to finally get round to visiting Pollok House despite having lived nearby for many years. The ancestral home of the affluent Stirling Maxwell family, it's almost like a stately home with some beautifully furnished rooms. The collection of Spanish paintings is a real gem, especially as it's unusual to find such a collection of El Greco, Goya and Murillo outside of Spain. The basement (of course) used to be the servants quarters and the museum has done a fantastic job preserving the Victorian design or the kitchen. The two upper floors were occupied by the Maxwell family and lavishly decorated. I especially liked the Cedar room for it's cosiness. That entrance is free to national trust members.

Pollock house and gardens is such a beautiful, pleasant and peaceful place. Of course, this is National Trust site so was really well maintained, clean and looked after. We had originally planned to see the gardens, the house, the galleries and a special visit to see the Highland coos in one trip, but ended up deciding to split it up over several visits. This change in plan came about due to the remarkable weather, and quite stunning gardens and woodlands. You almost felt like child again, exploring nooks and crannies, discovering secret dens and door ways. Everything was so well maintained and looked after, we walked around for a good couple of hours. The wee cafe is also fascinating with its old world look and feel, the staff were so pleasant and happy and the food on offer was exactly what you'd hope and want from this sort of place. I had a top notch ploughmans lunch, and my wife had a filling brie and bacon seeded roll. We went to see the cows too... (this was my favourite bit... I swear to god, someone brushes their fringes in the morning). Well the outside was enough to fill our day, especially with a little sun bathing under a tree by the river and cant wait to return to see the galleries and inside Pollock House itself.

Exquisite Georgian house of the Maxwell family, 1 of Glasgow's most historic lines. In need of some interior restoration, it has a splendid art collection too.

Great place for a walk or to take the dog. Lots of different routes. The house itself has a coffee shop and toilets. Good for families. Parking is limited so just be aware of that when coming at the weekend or when the sun is out.

The experience here was good. I liked the fresh air in the park. The most wanted attractions are the cattles. It's a specific breed that is being raised only in this area. The green views are amazing. I recommend visiting it with friends.

My favorite place to visit in Scotland. What a wonderfully preserved home, with an amazing story and architecture. The trust of Scotland has it well maintained, and I’d like to especially thank our guides Ruth, Margaret, Hannah and Nan who chatted with us and made the visit so memorable. Im shocked we haven’t read more about the history behind it. Loved it!

Visited with family every member of staff we came across were so helpful, informative and welcoming it was fantastic! The house is fascinating and well worth a visit. National trust members get free entry and free parking if you go in to the house for a pass when you park. The gardens are beautiful and worth a wander too and the tea room was fab. Great experience thank you!

(Translated by Google) Beautiful place, you can visit the rooms and outside each one there is a plaque explaining what used to be done there. More recommended than many castles whose entrance costs more (the entrance to the upper floors of Pollock House costs 7.50 pounds, but the lower floor, cafeteria and shop are free) The cafeteria is a beautiful thing, it used to be the kitchen of home.

Lovely house, beautiful staircase, interesting information. Wet when I went so didn't explore the grounds. Cafe heaving so skipped that too. Was not as many upstairs rooms open as I'd hoped, and the staff working basement area was more commercial than country house: cafe, loos, buggy store. Nice but probably won't return.
