A small park by the Clyde River. It is a quiet place to rest, but it seems to be a bit unmanaged.

A nice open, green space but it is rather unloved and neglected. There are still hints of its Festival glories dotted about

This is a lil oasis on the southside just behind the BBC studios near the river. Once you enter the gates it's quiet and secluded and it is safe and good for short dog walks and children play area.

All staff from reception , restaurant and gym, sauna excellent. Special mention for girl at desk in restaurant, first class service. Only issue on a personal level is I dislike football colours allowed in a restaurant.

This park, and the area around it, used to be a very smart part of Glasgow. The Festival Park - once a significant part of the Glasgow Garden Festival - has been allowed to deteriorate considerably by Glasgow City Council, as have the areas of Cessnock and Kinning Park in general. The park's play areas for kids are reasonably well maintained, but the play areas are small and so not a lot of work is really required to do that. The closer look at the wider environs of the Festival Park sees loads of rubbish strewn under bushes and plenty of evidence that the park is a haven for junkies and alkies due to its heavy, overgrown foliage which provides seclusion from the nearby roads. There's always somebody 'dodgy' hanging around here, and you wouldn't want to hazard a visit at night. Nice place at one time, but it's gone downhill in recent years, just like the nearby Paisley Road West area. Perhaps Glasgow City Council will have an answer for their inaction but I would doubt it

Small play park for little ones quite rundown. There is a bigger play park for the more adventurous. It ok but in need of a revamp.

Playparks needing TLC Used to be superb for taking kids but sadly over the years gcc have let it become run-down Hopefully when these houses are built they might look at putting some money into doing the park up again.

Not a huge park, but the children's play areas are well maintained by usual standards.

In the area to stay in a hotel. Very run down area. Wouldn't walk around there at night.

A very charming park. Lots of well trodden wooded areas and little hidden places you can explore, two lovely ponds, and a river, as well as two decent kids play areas. It’s honestly hard to review this one. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve always found a certain charm in this park that has distinguished it from any other. Not my favourite, but very, very charming.

Need some serious TLC ! This would be a beautiful park if Glasgow city council hadn't let it turn to ruin, my partners family had been going there for generations so it's really sad to see the state it's in.

Nice park, good for a walk with the kids or dogs, needs the grass cut though

I have parked beside this park more times than I can remember but today being at a loose end decided to go in for a walk.. It had been MANY years since the last time I had been actually in the park during the garden festival in 88 I still have some fairly vivid memories of it back then but it is an extremely different looking place now. All but impossible to mark where the pond and water feature were,it has become very overgrown and unloved looking. Skips worth of rubbish are littered everywhere and not even a single mention of its glory days from years ago.. Very sad to see,in my opinion 😞

So many rats but still a lovely wee park

The park is relatively hidden from the roads, so it doesn't feel particularly safe. Thankfully, I've never had any trouble here, but there is always that lingering feeling that it's somewhat secluded. It would be nice if it was opened up a lot more, perhaps linking to The Village Hotel so that it it used more.

It's more of a walk through than somewhere to hang out, it only takes a little rain to make all the grass a bog. Definitely avoid at night as it's unlit and there's no straight line of sight to any of the three gates. It's a good shelter from the wind though, the trees and bowl shape help enormously.

Festival Park is a beautiful park in Ibrox/Cessnock. This area is, unfortunately, a craphole. Mostly the park is used by people drinking Buckfast. However there are elements of beauty to be found in the pathways, pond area and forestry. If the Council attended it more it would be a destination of beauty.

Such a lovely park back in the day such a shame what's happend to it seems more suited for junkies and alcoholics than kids now days

You would think Glasgow City Council would have taken better care of this place. It was supposed to be the legacy of the famous 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival but it's overgrown, little strewn and devoid of any real character. The tree and weed choked ruins of the Japanese water gardens are particularly sad. Good place to take your dog for a run at least.

Great day out for the family with loads to see at the transport museum.

A great park, especially in winter. Large trees surround the perimeter, giving the greens and benches in the centre a lot of weather shielding. It's truly beautiful here on an icy winters morning or night. It's brilliant in Summer too. Peace in the midst of a built up city .

Looking for a quiet place to eat & chill. Another of Glasgow's tucked away small parks. Great place to sun it up as it's nice & quiet.
