It's possible to travel by public transportation to Auchentoshan from Glasgow. You have 2 choices, take bus 1D (£1.9/pp) from Glasgow station to Mountblown Melbourne and vice versa! Or, take the train (about 4.5£/pp) to Dalmuir, and walk about 30 min + a small inclination - quite picturesque! The tour was fantastic. Our guide was thorough and a wonderful storyteller. We learned about their barley malting, fermentation, triple distillation and barrelling process.

We had a great time and learned a lot. Anya was enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge of whisky and distilling during the tour. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations in town as well. Wendy in the visitor centre even called around to shops looking for us when we forgot some items at the distillery. Fantastic place.

Being so close to Glasgow, it is very conveniently located. It is a picturesque place with an interesting history. Its unique, to Scotland, distilling process was explained very well by our excellent guide Anya. Anya was interesting, funny and very knowledgeable, she really made the tour a fantastic experience. The whisky is brilliant too!

Started our dram fine whiskey tour here and were greeted at arrival by Richard at gate. Cute older man. Next Gerry got us set up and our tour was by a lovely young lady. She was terrific and they gave us small little metal mugs to take home as well. We bought a bottle to take back to USA. This was also a beautiful place and we really loved this stop.

Dougal gave us a wonderfully informative tour round the distillery. His specialisation in history certainly lent well to the experience. We were given a wide selection of whiskies to sample, all delicious in their own way. Thank you, Dougal, and thank you to Auchentoshan!

What a wonderful experience at the Auchentoshan distillery we had yesterday! We went to the distillery for the masterclass, and our guide Brian could not have been more accomodating. We sat, savouring whisky and chatting with Brian like an old friend about its characteristics before going around the rather wonderful distillery shop. I have to say it's the first distillery shop we've visited where we felt we were getting great value, and the range of whiskies, glasses, water jugs and everything else besides was superb. I cannot recommend this highly enough - just a few miles and an easy drive from Glasgow Airport area, if you've even a passing interest in whisky, make the time to visit!

Absolutely love coming here. We're welcomed, even if deciding last minute we're going to pop by. The staff are wonderful and such a delight to converse with. Of course the whisky is amazing and since we ran out of our last bottle, decided since we were nearby to stop in and grab another. They even have their own highland cows which are fun to look and take pictures of. Photo op!!

I did the ultimate tour on Saturday afternoon and it was fantastic. Brian was very knowledgeable and full of character, which made it even better. Some brilliant information about the whole process and industry was imparted and the blind tasting was a great idea even though I could participate due to driving, of which there is good parking facilities. However, all the drams were provided for me in individually labelled bottles for me to take home and enjoy later which was a fantastic touch and greatly appreciated. I can thoroughly recommend this even if whisky isn't your thing, it is still a great experience and all the staff are lovely. For the price it's incredible value and they also have a fully stocked whisky shop on site as well.

Fantastic experience!! We arrived a tad earlier and had a couple of flights to try different bottles and managed to taste a total of 8 different drams. The people are so friendly. The tour was clear, informative, and very enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone in Glasgow who enjoys a single malt!

Absolutely fabulous tour, can wholly recommend the Ultimate Tour to any whisky lovers out there. Brian, our tour guide, was great, knowledgeable, funny, honest and a true gent. We’ll be back again during distilling season!

From the chap on the gate, to the distillery staff, the friendly and knowledgeable welcome from them alone makes a visit worthwhile. The shop in the visitor centre is a great place to pick up a gift (Either for yourself or someone else 😄) and they run regular tours with a couple drams to sample at the end too. Special shout-out to Neil, who provided a fantastic insight into the range on offer with some cracking cocktail tips t'boot, and even managed to pick out one that my other half enjoyed. Not to be missed if you're in the area!

Great tour. Kid friendly. Everyone working at the distillery was some of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever interacted with. Comes with two samples, at the end of the tour you can buy more at the bar.

Had my first visit to a distillery with my groups of friends. Went here as part of our day tour, they explained much about the process in making their whiskies! The place is also perfect for your instagram! Didn’t took lot of pics, kinda busy tasting their products!😉
