As far as this park goes, this park closely reaches the standard of what a modern urban park should be. It has many amenities that I think are fantastic. There is an area to do mountain biking, outdoor classroom and my personal favourite, an outdoor bouldering area. This park has been extremely well thought out. It isn't just a place to go walk your dog, it is a place with great opportunities for free and fun activities. Personally, I spend a few hours bouldering, but you can simply go for a nice walk in nature. There is some work still going on in the park, but without doubt I would say this is the best park in Glasgow. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that it isn't quite perfect yet. I would like to see maybe some stalls a few days a week where people can sell their goods and maybe a cafe with an outdoor seating area for the summer, then it would be perfect. You probably won't find a better park in Glasgow.

Great combination of things to do and relaxing places at one place. Clean and nice , events for kids and adults alike. Nature is let to spread and flourish, animals can live and be observed the same time. Many things to try on bike and on foot, climb and walk, play and look. Also river Clyde has a nice cleaner portion around with some nice bridges.

Awesome place for kids and family picnic. A lot of kids play areas. Fantastic views of river Clyde. Some construction is also going on which will hopefully further add value to the park. Car park is temporarily closed due to construction so you need to find a place on adjacent roads to safely park your car. Overall a great and satisfying experience!!!

This is a great park, lots of wooden climbing equipment, hills with slides down them and rock climbing boulders for a real challenge. You can cycle/scoot there along the Clydeside cycle path and there is a special bike track just behind the park. They have also recently added a really nice public toilet and there is a permanent food stall. If you need to drive there is no assigned loop parking, but you can usually find somewhere to park nearby.

Great walk, loads of different paths that eventually meet up, nice little boardwalk along the river Clyde. Great place to walk dogs and take kids. Need more bins along the path though! Public toilets at the start of the walk are a great addition!

Built on an old brownfield site this is part of the regeneration of the area. It is a great resource for walking running and has a small mountain bike trail and bouldering area. It has a good play area and walks near the Clyde. It’s a great development which is not well known . The photos attached say how the area has been reclaimed . On site is the both which has toilets . It’s great for walking the dog too!

Nice scenic walk along the Clyde and through the woods. You might see deer. Look out tower although you can't see much for the trees. Play area, climbing wall and cafe.

Great kids bike track and off road track. Great wood-based playpark with more natural feel. Can be very muddy, and there are no toilets, so be prepared.

The car park is closed just now so you have to park on the street and there is not a lot of spaces. The toilets are in the building at the entrance off downiebrae road and the cafe is located there as well. There is a few bike tracks that go from beginner to jumps. The boulder walls are set up with different levels of ability but even with that there quite difficult to begin with. The play park has the normal slides, swings etc but there is a area that has sand and assault course. The walk round is very easy and the paths are well maintained.

A hidden gem in Glasgow- would definitely recommend to visit. The park was very picturesque and great for an easy walk by the river. There’s also a children themed park which would be great for kids and mini stone climbing activities

Lovely wee park , had a dinosaur exhibition which all the kids seemed to enjoy . Will go back in a few weeks to get a better walk around without the exhibition as that took up half of the park

The loop just keeps on improving. See it now while it’s still quiet as the summer comes and with new facilities it will soon be busier than ever.

This is a superb park with lots to see and do. There is clearly a lot of investment going into it too, with a new tower (The Tur) and new building (possibly a visitor centre?) and various other new attractions going in. The playpark area is currently being renovated and due to open end March 2022.

Nice area to spend time. 'The Bothy' is near the (free) car park - we didn't use it but the sign says toilets and the building looks relatively new and in good condition so it's think they would be reasonable toilets. The bike track is good, but we'd taken scooters which, though they have big inflatable wheels, didn't cope with the terrain terribly well. The rest of the paths around the site are good for scooters. The area is well signed, and the play area is great for slightly older kids. Ours (ages 11, 9 & 7) really enjoyed it, but I wonder if younger ones might find it less suitable. The boulders were also fun, but tricky!! The viewing platform was nice, despite the drizzle!!

Such a great park. The playpark, the walks, and the Bouldering area was quite popular. The kids enjoyed their visit and spent a good 4 hours there including a picnic. However there is no toilet facilities which is not great. I think that needs to be changed as nowhere nearby to use facilities hence not a full 5 star rating.

Great park has everything. The boardwalk along the clydeside, the viewing platform for watching the wildlife, is a great addition. There are picnic areas, a playpark a bike track, climbing boulders and more. The ground s very flat so great for wheelchair users, prams, scooters, bikes ect especially for kids learning to ride. We regularly walk our dogs and find most owners in the park to be responsible. Parking is also very good as is public transport routes.

Great entertainment for all the family. Watch you don't get eaten by one of the dinosaurs!! ha ha. Best to wear wellies as ground was very muddy due to the foot fall.

Not the biggest of parks, takes no more than half an hour to walk round but the views are pleasant and there's free parking. Would be nice in the summer and good for walking the dog

  • 4/5 Dani C. 2 years ago on Google
Good fun for kids but access could be alot better to the park and the general footpaths are extremely worn, walked on and muddy at many parts so could be very difficult for prams and wheelchairs etc

Don't let the photos with the construction put you off. This park is beautiful and perfect to take your kids for a day out or even just for a peaceful walk. It's got a mixture of everything from great views, peaceful paths along the Clyde, a play park and rock climbing outdoor facilities.

  • 5/5 Michal 1 year ago on Google
Great place for a walk. Lots of different pathways.

  • 2/5 Ryan J. 1 year ago on Google
Loved this park; however the new addition of the tower is poorly implemented. The access ramp is very long and then once you reach the tower; prams, wheelchairs, etc can't actually access the top of the tower anyways. On top of that for people who are able to walk the stairs to the top it is a very small area. They would have been better trying to incorporate the café into the tower somehow. The size of the park has been significantly increased which is great and makes for a good dog walk or run if so inclined, but the fencing all the way round does feel like your in a zoo more than a park. A lot of investment clearly has gone into the park but wasted in my opinion.

This park is great and has lots to offer. The recent updates are lovely and add so much to the park. I do feel as though the park could use more benches though.

  • 5/5 Mae S. 7 months ago on Google • 9 reviews
great selection of problems for beginners up to more intermediate/advanced climbers. Boulders are man made with built in (and well sign-posted) down-climbs. The boulders are surrounded by small pebbles which are great to land in, but bring a pad for the higher boulders. Didn't get a chance to explore it but the adventure playground looked like a great time.

I was amazed by this hidden gem near the heart of the city! A fantastic dog-friendly public green space with excellent amenities for all. Accessible ramp for a tower view, excellent kids playground, bouldering, boardwalk, picnic areas and lots of paths to explore near the Clyde. Restrooms available.

Nice park to relax and enjoy your day or weekend. Lovely view, walkway over Clyde as well as bicycle roads for those cyclists. There is a free car park.

Great place for younger kids to cycle

  • 5/5 Ken C. 3 years ago on Google
It is a large bush and wooded area with various clearings which may have climbing or other items for children. The toilets are just portaloos which are closed anyway but it is easy to social distance and picnic. Car parking is good at the moment but might be difficult if a large number of people arrive.

This is a lovely park with great amenities. It’s been well designed and is a very enjoyable walk. We visited for the first time during lockdown so it was relatively busy with people walking. The wooden pathway gives beautiful views of the river - I wasn’t expecting it! Only thing I would say is that Glasgow residents seem unable to have anything nice without ruining it, judging by the horrendous amounts of litter dropped and the burned sign at the bike track. Not a reflection on the park, but on the locals.
