Nice park to stretch the little ones legs around Lochend Loch. Lots of parking and easy access to a path that will take you around the perimeter of the park. The Loch has plenty of Swans an Geese. Plenty of Picnic tables along the way. We went to the “Crannog” park which my little fella really enjoyed, it was well later out and one of the best parks I have come across in the area. We finished our little trip with a visit to the Icecream Van. Looked a great place for a walk or run, I did see a lot of dogs being walked also.

Litter pick here often. Great place to visit, great parks for the kids. Great walks for the dogs and loads of birds/wildlife to see and feed. Just wish people would remember to put their rubbish in a bin before they leave

Paved secure walk way. Great for walks and dogs. Paved path around loch is 1 miles. Entire loop of external park is 2miles roughly 4500 steps. Public centre with cafe However toilets shut when centre does (9am till 5pm). Wheelchair access. Sufficient car park. Maybe wild birds. Play park for kids.

Perfect for a wintery walk with a coffee. Really clearly signposted walking trails with a beautiful loch and other scenery. The paths are really well kept and the carpark is right at the start of the walking trails. A large number of the trails are accessible for prams or wheelchairs. Even in the winter, the trails weren’t too muddy so entirely possible to go in regular trainers.

Nice walk around the loch but can be a bit busy at times. Tons of geese and ducks. But the best part is the forest off to one side. Some nice easy walks through there, and it's usually pretty empty in my experience.

Wonderful little place. Used to come here as a kid and it wasn't half as nice. Great wee oasis in Coatbridge. Cafe prices are a little ridiculous however so remember to bring a drink.

This is a beautiful loch in all weather. It's got a great 1mile circuit that is completely flat (great for those with mobility issues) and plenty of benches along the way. Beautiful loch, well kept, swans and ducks, other wildlife, a beautiful peace garden halfway around the loch and plenty of grass area to sunbathe or play ball games etc. It has some gorgeous sunsets and is just so lovely to get into nature if you are stuck in the city or residential area and want a break that is close by. They have toilets and a cafe. Dog friendly. Usually an ice cream truck is there nearly all year round.

Really enjoyed this country park. Has a really big modern play area at one side and another play park across the loch. Lots of woodland walks as well!

Lots of different paths to walk down, very nice to explore. Plenty of swans to keep you entertained and getting to walk around with a cappuccino in hand from the cafe is a bonus

This is a fantastic country park with loads of paths for walking and exploring! Lakes with loads of sucks, swans, geese and other birds. Amazing play areas for the kids. Visitor centre with tea coffee and snacks. Loads of parking. Best bit is exploring the woods on the far side.

Great psrk for all the family, from young to older generation there is something for everyone. A huge lake to walk around that's 1.2miles around beautiful views and great outside. One of the best parks I've been too with my 3 children age 5, 13 and 14 :-)

Good trail style parkrun on a Saturday. Big play area for kids. Easy access from M73. Big loch with lots of wildfowl. Toilets in centre along with visitor facilities but I haven't visited myself.

Grandson loved it easy access for myself with mobility issues. Great info with the interactive information board at the start of the playground.

Lovely park but Don't go anywhere near the dragon at the information kiosk. I opened a sliding door to stand and look out at the loch today and this thunder faced dragon stormed up to me and said "that's not appropriate to smoke outside" and instantly turned away from me. I was frustrated (being a non smoker) and said "excuse me, don't come towards me and accuse me of things I haven't done" and she then turned round and told me that a member of the public had told her, which wasn't true because she went straight up to her other colleague who had obviously just said this to her. She then tried turning it around by saying that I shouldn't be out there and I quickly looked around for signs or something to tell people that but there were none. She then (because she was not backing down and clearly completely wrong) started saying that I was being aggressive and she really stuck to that accusation. I was gobsmacked by her brute and rude attitude that just smashed its way into my peaceful moment of having a coffee overlooking the loch. I was heated/frustrated but not aggressive and told her to at least put signs on the glass to tell people and she simply said... No. My parents saw the whole thing and went to speak to her as they left and guess what? She was of course cheeky, rude, defiant, and condescending with them too. It's a shame that we don't sometimes take more of a US employment action of sacking people on the spot. If people aren't allowed to open a door, put a sign up, or even better... Lock it. Do not send it a bulldozer to deal with something that should have been a polite heads-up.

A great 1 mile walk around the Loch leads you back to a very pleasant cafe with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes which are well priced. It also has good toilet facilities, and fresh water for dogs. If you have children there are two adventure playgrounds, one designed for tots and the other for more adventurous children. There is also a adequate car park but this may get busy during warmer months

Nice walk through the woods and around the loch, pretty basic walk compared to other country parks. - Playpark is large and good fun for the kids - Visitor centre is easily accessible with toilets - Plenty of car parking spaces

Beautiful place to walk. Loads of bird life on the pond. Amazed to see so many deer which didn't seem to bother about the people and dogs. Various walks for all abilities some places wee bit muddy so walking shoes or boots would be a good idea. Ample parking available. If you are in the area this is a must

Great place to take the kids and dogs on a nice day. There is an ice cream van at both car parks can be a little pricey. 2 parks here at both ends of the Loch. Also there is some forest trails to do as an activity. Only downfall is the council should cut the grass around the play area really big nettles about not good for kids.

  • 5/5 Keri J. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely wee walk, my lil one is only 1 so the park here was a little to big for her but my 5 year old loved it.

  • 5/5 Heather M. 9 months ago on Google
There's a walk round the loch, plus paths leading off it and a peace garden. Also 2 play parks. The one about halve way round has lots for all ages, you reach it via a bridge. There seems to be a huge variety of water fowl, and other wild life to be seen. Also there's lots of free parking.

  • 5/5 Mary R. 2 years ago on Google
Good visitor centre. Excellent coffee and good food selection. Toilets were immaculate! Nice flat area to walk around the lake. Lots of dog walkers and joggers.

Nice wee cafe with plenty of outdoor seating. The younger children's park was good for our 4yr old and 18 month old. They liked the sand. Nice walk around the big pond. Lots of swans and ducks

Brilliant big park two play parks with in it so if you have younger our old kids they'll love it especially the big wooden play park for the older kids has a cafe n toilets too sometimes there's an icecream van

  • 5/5 Tara R. 1 year ago on Google
I have never used the facilities or the cafe so I can’t comment on them but frequently walk around Drumpellier. Love the wildlife and the grounds which are well kept. The wooden park is amazing too. It can get super busy and it’s not really suitable for little children (there is another smaller park that they can use) around the park area lacks places for parents to sit with only a few benches out with full view of the park which means there are a lot of adults just milling about sometimes getting in the way of the children playing. But that can’t be helped I guess.

    Lovely walk with the dog

  • 4/5 Robert W. 3 years ago on Google
First time I've been here and thought the park was really good for the kids. My main grumble is the fact that when I checked the website it said the cafe and toilets were open but they weren't. Not such a problem if you live locally but an issue if, like us, you travelled a bit further.

  • 3/5 ARTHUR W. 3 years ago on Google
A very pleasant walk around the loch is often spoiled by cyclists racing around at dangerous speeds and by morons throwing litter, bottles and cans around the place rather than put them in a bin, of which there are plenty. As Scots we like to portray ourselves as some kind of caring, fair minded, giving people, truth be told along with that we have more than our fair share of absolute wallopers.

Nice Park good walk round the Loch & through the woods. Nice we park for the kids & ideal for a picnic.

  • 5/5 Mark B. 3 years ago on Google
Wonderful display of nature and wildlife at its best. Family friendly and plenty to do. Definitely a location to tire the children and freshen the senses from the mundane concrete sculptures of city life. Views visually tantalising as the landscape is quilted with beautiful fauna, shrubbery and heathers. A must visit.

  • 4/5 Richard B. 3 years ago on Google
Great facility for adults and children. Good variety of walks available, mainly on the flat and with paved paths. Excellent play area for children from about 4 years upwards though it was very busy the last time I visited with not much sign of social distancing among the adults who had taken their children. There is a cafe at the visitor centre but it was still closed (mid July). The ice cream van in the car park was doing a roaring trade.

Nice place to take younger kids. The basic loop around the water is good for scooters and bikes, and the outdoor play park area is brilliant - modelled on a crannog, it's like a fun little fortress for the kids, with all the usual things like slides and swings and flying foxes. One of the best play parks in Glasgow I think!

Really nice park with plenty of paths to walk. The kids play area is a great way to tire out the kids. There is also a ParkRun on a Saturday morning at 9:30am. The route is nice and flat with some trail paths for some variety. There is quite a lot of litter all around the park inside and out plus dog ?a plenty so you need to watch where kids run about on the grass.

Riverside Park has a lot of potential, but it could use some more maintenance. The riverfront views are lovely, and there's a nice walking path. However, some of the picnic areas need attention, and the restroom facilities could be cleaner. With a little more care, this park could be fantastic.
