This is a terrific service around the vibrant dynamic city of Glasgow. For one pound extra you can get a two day pass, rather than one day. There is so much to see that it takes a couple of days to get around. Several of the attractions are a little further out so you can't walk to them easily. So the hop on hop off bus serves as a reliable and fun means of getting around. The drivers, conductors and commentators are all terrific - knowledgeable, welcoming and super friendly.

A tour of the city on top of a bus with a tour guide telling us information and stories! We did the whole tour and we are able to ride and catch the other buses on the route. I would advise doing the whole tour then picking a spot to get dropped off second round time them when you are done there get on the bus again they come every 15inutes on the route. Was a great way to see and learn a out the whole city and shop and shop at various places. Was well worth the cost!

Hop on and off at the major attractions at Glasgow!! Best way to see around Glasgow. Tickets can be purchased online or at the main stops. The maps are detailed and help you find useful information for each stops. Trips can be planned based on your preference as you can spend more time you need at your favourite stops.

Great ride with open top and inside. Go around Glasgow to know about the history of the place. £16pp or you can get family ticket with discount. You can hear about the history with audio guide. Recommended if you are new to Glasgow and looking to know about the places and buildings.

Great way to see Glasgow and visit attractions. Buses go every 10 minutes and you can just hop on and off. £15 per adult for 1 day, worth it, you can pay cash on the bus or card at stop number 1. Gone for a live tour guide and Peter, our guide, was amazing! Informative, funny with great singing voice! Would definitely recommend the live tour guide!

While the tour and info provided was nice, that’s where it ends. Face coverings, required by the UK government, we’re not enforced. Not even in the downstairs closed area. Very irresponsible. The seats are only about 14” wide, making comfort impossible, let alone allowing for distancing during a pandemic. Buses did not keep to schedule. We waited almost 40 minutes for one time slot that never showed and the second slot was late. Plus, there is road construction throughout the city, making delays impossible to avoid. They definitely need more buses on the route. Not a good experience! REPLY TO OWNER REQUEST: The info you requested has been sent to the email address provided in your reply. Please know, it's not so much my disappointment, but the health and safety aspect that is most concerning.

Best way to get around and see the "new" Glasgow as well as the many historic buildings and sites. Hop off and on option let's you spend extra time in places if you want or otherwise just chill and effortlessly see the sites.

Transportation in Glasgow is very confusing for tourists. Multiple bus systems that don't have day passes to use between them. The hop on hop off bus is great. It takes a very good route for visitors. Multiple day pass is very reasonable price and you can use it all day. Use this service if you want to see the city.

We used this great bus service over two days and have only positive comments. The service is on time, clean and informed. The staff are friendly and helpful, the commentary is informative and quite amusing at times. I would highly recommend this, it’s a perfect way for newcomers to see the sights on Glasgow.

I loved the round trip and the guided recording by Neil Oliver - perfect for a disabled traveller. Unfortunately when the bus stopped at George Square, it was packed to the rafters with rather inconsiderate people. I elbowed my way out at the University and picked up another service back to the city but I was almost pushed onto the floor by a man blocking the disabled seating. I caught a taxi back to my hotel. It was enough.

Lovely bus tour, says total tour is 1 hour 25 minutes but we completed in nearly 2 hours, and can go all day. We can hop on and off in any of their stops and bus comes every 15 minutes-ish. There is audio guide in 7 languages in all seats. The earphones were too big for my kids, so got them kids headphones for the rest of the tour. They enjoyed the commentary.

I definitely recommend the HOHO bus if you have an hour to kill in Glasgow. It was well worth the cost to get a tour of the entire city, hearing the history from a good live guide. I saw so many interesting buildings and areas. (We had a short time here on a cruise ship for the day (docked in Greenock) - we did it on our own and fit in the Necropolis, Glasgow Cathedral, St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art, Provand's Lordship, the HOHO bus, lunch at George Square and Rick Steves "Glasgow Walk" from his book.)

Absolutely brilliant. Not my first time using this service and not my last. Most recent was bringing Canadian family for the day and they loved every minute. They had just came from london and said the open top tour there was nowhere near as good as the Glasgow version which was so informative, funny and interesting. Such good value and only and extra pound for the second day. Most of the stops visited have free entry too. All in all a fantastic day out.

The tour was very informative and bus service regular, one downside is my partner is deaf and there is no written information for deaf people to read along with as the tour goes on, lucky I could sign for her, but a deaf person on their own has no information or way of telling which stop the bus is coming to or how frequently the bus comes.

We brought our children to explore the city we met and where I grew up. Friendly service, great information. Adults enjoyed the local commentary. Would love a kids channel on the commentary like CSS tours in other cities. We do our local CSS in Cape Town often and benefitted from a discount when we showed our most recent Cape Town tickets. Perfect if you want to see the highlights of Glasgow in a day or two

Excellent way to see Glasgow. You can jump on and off all day long or you can sit and do the full tour. Running commentary describes details at and between stops. If you can use it, the extra day is a bargain.

We did this tour in Glasgow this morning and the staff were all amazing. A special mention to Martin our live guide who was professional, informative with a great sense of humour. Thoroughly enjoyed it 👌

If you ride with the redheaded tour-guide Roz you will have a seriously good time. He is funny, has a lot of inside info on Glasgow and a real storyteller. We also had some other guides who were a bit drier. So definitely hop on and off to mix it up a bit. But we learnt cool stuff and it drives to the right places, so we’ll certainly take it again next time we’re in Glasgow.

Amazing way to get an overview of Glasgow as well as a good way to get from attraction to attraction. The audio guide was interesting and the drivers were very friendly. The route was nice and the timetable at each stop was a good touch.

  • 4/5 Mary A. 1 year ago on Google
Very interesting live commentary by Mark. Kevin the driver was also very good. The day ticket is for a whole day so one could hop on and off as many times as possible. I think next time I’m Glasgow, I will opt in for a 2 day ticket which is more economical and one can use it for 2 days.

Absolutely brilliant service. Used the buses for 2 days and every member of staff were so courteous and helpful. Liz, our guide on Tuesday, was so knowledgeable..... more like a living encyclopedia!! She made it so interesting.

  • 2/5 Todd O. H. 11 months ago on Google
A bit pricey given the public transportation options, but with some degree of tourism guidance and a more tourist optimal set of stops. Be warned, and signaling the driver is REQUIRED, and I strongly recommend jumping in the buses path and jumping up and down as the only signal guaranteed to work, after being left at a stop where the driver refused the pickup. Not at all clear to first time riders that the "stops" are not in fact, ACTUAL STOPS.

We started at stop 1 near Queen Street Station on the lower level of the bus which was unfortunate. Hard to see anything and the guide commentary was taped. We were given ear plugs to listen but much too soft to hear much. After the first stop at the Glasgow Cathedral we made the second level and viewing was much better. Also had a live person, Donna, as our guide. She provided a lot of good information and was very pleasant. We stayed on until the end a really enjoyed her commentary.

Excellent way to see the sights and learn some of the history of Glasgow with clear dialogue through headphones. On the 2nd day we stopped off at the Riverside museum and then Kelvingrove. Both excellent. Would certainly recommend.

  • 5/5 Peter M. 1 year ago on Google
We got a 2 day hop on and off ticket for the family. Well worth the £37 price. Hopped on and off all day and managed to get the last bus home. Headphones and automatic tour means you can hear well and also if you just want the sights can do that too.

Tour information and route was great. Let down by the buses being late. We were left standing at a bus stop for 40mins in the cold with a toddler with no live information on why the bus didn’t arrive.

I know Glasgow well. But wanted to take my boyfriend (who is Greek) and myself on a guided tour around the city, was excellent. Glasgow Cathedral is a must. Never been before! It was amazing. Brilliant. Can highly recommend taking a tour. Staff were lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. Had a fantastic day out.

Very nice and well organized way to explore the main headlights of the city. With a one or more day-pass it is a great way to get around the city too and with a nice voice over you get to understand a bit of the surroundings and history. Great value!

We paid £32, were upstairs and were asked by staff to move to the back of the bus (which we were happy to do) to allow a family to board (and more revenue for them). When the bus took off it was impossible to hear the onboard commentary! Not good value for money, as the woman doing the commentary seemed very good. Very disapointed, refund required, staff not interested!

Great tour and very informative too bad it was ruined for us by a really rude and nasty diver that really seemed to hate firstly his life and secondly his job. Reckless driving and not very professional, very rude when aproached and not welling to answer any questions.

Standard open top sight seeing bus tour. Hop on, hop off as many times as you like and late running (last bus around 2200) so can really be used all day. All of the main attractions and 2 different audio guides in English plus the live guides who are excellent and who give facts about different places so even if you go round several times you will hear something new!

  • 5/5 Ronald S. 4 years ago on Google

(Translated by Google) A great way to easily move around the sights in Glasgow. The choice of the coach with guidance in English turned out not to be very happy because the supervisor was played loudly through the speakers via the microphone. Fortunately there is a bus with a multilingual version (from a tape) where you get free earplugs and in addition to the sound strength you can also choose from 8 languages where we liked the voice of the Schot Neil Oliver: he also kept his mouth shut occasionally. ..... Sitting on the part with the open deck turned out to be laborious because of the many tree branches that the bus can throw. The information spoken along the way is plentiful but interesting. The frequency of driving was also excellent, so you never had to wait long for transport. It is a pity that the last bus departs relatively early, but because almost all museums are closed, that makes sense.

90min trip around Glasgow with earphones or live commentary. The earphones are available in many other languages. The trip takes you around many of Glasgow's attractions and gives the history of this lively city. We went on the bus for a round trip from George Square and decided where we would head to spend our limited time. This was a well run, quality trip that leaves every 15mins throughout the day.
