This has to be one of the best sea life centres we have been to. Both children ( ages 2 and 6) loved it. Stunning views from the cafe, you can see right across loch Lomond. Lots of sea creatures to see and educational bits as you go round. Hands on experiences too. Price was one of the more reasonable ones we have been to.

Despite being a little smaller than I'd expected, it was really good. Tonnes of fish, a wee rock pool bit so the kids can touch some fish and some amazing views of Loch Lomond from the viewing point at the top. I wanted to see sharks and was slightly disappointed, the lighting in the tunnel is a horrible dark blue and unless they're right up close to the glass, it's really hard to make them out. The lighting also makes taking decent pics/video of them nigh on impossible. The kids loved it though and the shop at the end wasn't too exorbitant either.

Good place to bring kids and toddler to watch some live sea animals. Kids will absolutely love it. The touch and feel experience is really nice where you can touch and experience some like Star fish, crab e.t.c. This particular SEA life is a small one when compared to others like London or Birmingham. The whole place is accessible for disabled. There is a huge parking facility nearby and you can find some on road parking if lucky. It takes an hour or 90 minutes mostly to complete the trip.

We loved the sea life centre. They have some lovely attractions in there but April The Turtle was my absolute favourite!! The staff were so friendly and there were some lovely views from observation floor at the top.

Very nice place for family. Various of marine life, and a section for you to touch on some starfish and sea anemone. They have a cinema showing cartoon which is free and could let you to take a rest. Cafe is good. also have a nice view at the roof at 4/F.

Its beautiful and well maintained aquarium. Very friendly staff. Located at a lovely site. View from the top of the building is amazing. Its a small and nice aquarium with few other visitors so you can spend quite a while glancing fishes. I had discounted tickets for this so definitely worth a visit along with my other plans at Loch Lomond.

This place has gives access to the under sea world that we would only be able to see in movies. It's life! Charge for tickets (at the door or book on line). Cafe inside. Cinema with small video for children education. Truly a Lovely place. Worth the visit if you have never been to an aquarium. They do amazing work in the waters all around Scotland to preserve nature. Inside is many wonderful exhibitions to show case the animals. The attention to detail is so adorable. We took an hour can take longer if you look and read more info.

Great aquarium for sea life in Loch Lomond, the staff are very friendly, there was a lady who welcomed us, and she took a photo for everyone, then she gave me a QR code, so, after the tour, I can print my photo through it. The aquarium was great and suitable for families and children. There is a cinema on the second floor showing some cartoons about sea life for children. Also, there is a cafe on the third floor with a fabulous view. The fourth floor is a terrace, so you can take some wonderful photos. I recommend booking tickets in advance. Highly recommended.

This place is brilliant! We loved it just as much as our 6yr old boy. Highly recommend! The octonauts cinema was a great break half way through the aquarium. The views from the 4th floor were tremendous! The touch pool is small but plenty for little ones to touch. Route in and parking is a tad misleading if you follow satnav as its not signposted for the aquarium.

Loch lomond Christmas market, its good but i think it need more Christmas feeling like lights and sounds. And i hope next year The Xmas will be Christmas or merry Christmas. the reason we celebrate is about Christ but if you replace it with X then why we need to call it Christmas market. It is still nice and lovely though.

Must go for the kids. They even have a quiz card where you need to answer by reading all the facts mentioned about the sea creatures . At the end if u answer all correctly they give a small gift for kids. It also has a restaurant with a scenic view on 3rd floor which is awesome.

I brought my granddaughter here for the first time, it’s been many years since I brought my own children and remember when it first opened. Not much has changed since then. All the tanks are amazing, and she loved seeing everything. I do feel it is a little over priced entry wise but understandable due to up keep. Place was very clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff also

Fabulous day out. It's not just an aquarium either. They have an otter enclosure too, a nice restaurant and amazing views over Loch Lomond from the observation deck. The tropical ocean tunnel is the highlight of the trip.

Enjoyed this Sea life centre as we’ve been to a few. It’s a bit smaller than others which has four floors the top has a great viewpoint over Loch Lomond then there’s a cinema which was playing cartoons when we went great for young children and a cafe on one of the upper floors and the sea life attraction on the ground floor. Take your time and read the information and it’s worth visiting but we both think the Brighton Sea-life centre is better. Get in with the Kellogg’s BOGOF tickets when they are available ( like we did)and it’s a great place to visit.

Absolute rip off. Cost £26 for a 3 year old and 1 adult. Didn't feel at all safe. Unable to social distance as they are booking folk in at 15 minute intervals which means you have 15 minutes in the centre and no chance of going round or back tracking. We didn't get a chance to look at the fish properly as there were people crowding us. I felt very uncomfortable in there. I won't be back. In fact I should report the lack of safety and guidance throughout the centre. Far too many people in at a time and way too expensive for the time given. I was glad to get out!

For the price, it’s definitely worth it because of the views from the Costa coffee cafe and the viewing platform on the top floor. The otters were definitely a highlight! The aquarium floor itself is on the smaller side and it was difficult to read the information for each tank as the information on the electric screens flicked to the next information slide really quickly - even speed reading each slide was impossible, so you had to end up waiting for each slide to come back around again. Like I said though, for the views and the others it’s definitely worth the money.

  • 4/5 Chris B. 2 years ago on Google
Entertaining otters right after entering who seem to have the time of their lives jumping in their water. The quiz given to the kids kept them busy and they got a badge and chocolate for completing it. The most notable sea creatures were the sea horses, sharks, sting rays, clown fish, sea turtle and, lion fish. The best part of the visit was the large tanks with panoramic underwater views and they even play atmospheric background music. Both pictures I've included are from these areas, there is seating here and you could easily spend a good chunk of your visit captivated watching the various species pass by. I've only removed a star as a visit for a family of four costs £50 which makes this a visit only worth doing once every few years.

Amazing place in idyllic surroundings - even on a cold winters day. Can seem a bit pricey in theory, but we'll worth it and the staff are friendly, welcoming and informative. The views from the roof terrace are wonderful ... and we were lucky enough to see the sea-plane taking off.

  • 5/5 Laura M. 2 years ago on Google
Been here twice with my little when she was 2 and second time just before she turned 3. She absolutely loved it. Staff are very helpful and there is plenty of sanitiser throughout. The cinema on the 2nd level was a hit with her and her cousins. The view from the cafe is lovely, especially on a clear sunny day. My only issue would be that it doesn't take long to go around it. We were done both times within the hour. Maybe if you are older or take older kids they would take more time to read all the information. My little one wasn't keen on listening to me lol

  • 5/5 Peter J. 6 months ago on Google
Booked last minute with no problem on getting a time. The staff were very friendly throughout. The aquarium displays are well laid out and plenty of things to see in each tank. Timed out visit well for feeding time and seeing the otters out in their enclosure.

Me and my 9 year old son had a great couple of hours here on our way to nanny's House. The place was very well looked after, the staff were super polite, helpful and well informed. They had a great range of animals, displays and information. We had fun completing the quiz and the views over the Loch were amazing. Highly recommended.

Halloween theme was brilliant, the extra hunts they have for kids make the whole thing much more interactive. We'll worth it with the vouchers we had, but not sure I'd go full price, its not very big.

  • 5/5 Charles W. B. 2 years ago on Google
An absolutely stand out sea life centre. The otter exhibition is fantastic. Overall a great day out. I feel the cafe could do with a face lift and get proper coffee facilities (unlike the machine you have) but other than that - brilliant!

  • 4/5 Alexander W. 8 months ago on Google
A really great place to wander around. Three levels, but only the ground floor has live exhibits which is a bit of a shame. While I can see why they do the ten minute time slots, as things might get a bit cramped, it really is annoying! The otters are adorable and I really recommend going during feeding time!

  • 5/5 Honey C. 2 years ago on Google
Very enjoyable. We've been to most of the UK's centres and this one stood out with the friendly and helpful nature of the staff. All were happy to answer my daughter's many questions. It's not the biggest but has a lot to offer. The children's question sheets were really good and the kids enjoyed searching for the answers. World recommend and return.

  • 5/5 Ian G. 3 years ago on Google
    Was interesting and varied

  • 5/5 Zoe W. 2 years ago on Google
I absolutely love the sea life centre. Its small enough to keep young kids happy but big enough to keep the big kids happy. They have the best little trio of Otters who are playful and I could sit and watch them for hours! Cafe is reasonably priced and has a view out over the Loch to die for. I'll definitely be visiting again in future!

  • 5/5 Jane H. 2 years ago on Google
Lots to see. Walk through underwater tunnel with sharks etc swimming above you. Cafe, toilets, cinema and gift shop. Very accessible.

  • 5/5 Stacey H. 2 years ago on Google
We had a fantastic experience. It's considerably smaller than other sea life venues but the kids cinema on L2 (included in the price) and views across loch Lomond make up for that. Staff are lovely and courteous. Would definitely revisit.

  • 5/5 Scott H. 1 year ago on Google
Have a membership here so go regularly, if you're not careful you could find yourself finished in 20-30 mins but that's my only complaint cafe is great, amazing views over the loch. Small play park and paddle boats nearby. Cinema is good too

  • 5/5 Chas 2 years ago on Google
Great place to visit. Not as large as other ones but enough to keep you busy for a couple of hours.. Great little parts for kids to touch some of the fish, crabs, starfish. Well laid out and staff are extremely helpful. Gift shop prices are good. Cafe is ok for a quick bite but nothing special.

  • 3/5 Mo 6 months ago on Google
Although it’s getting very expensive to take a family there the setting hasn’t much changed over the years. Still it’s a good place to bring the kids as it does have an educational value. With the staff it’s a hit or a miss. Some are bored doing the job for too long and others are energetic and willing to teach the kids. The aquarium has a range of tropical fish small and large to very large. Please pay a visit to April the stumpy turtle. She has a nice rescue story on the wall. The hands on experience stall is great for kids to touch some sea creatures. The cafe is basic but has great views over Loch Lomond. Tip: Please blindfold your kids when they leave. The shop is inconveniently located at the end of the ride and has a lot of overpriced toys for your kid to yell for!

After travelling down from Aberdeen for the weekend we decided to give Sea Life a try, It was my first ever time and will be one to remember. You have to book online prior to arriving but same day time slots are available: for two adults we were just over £30 which might sound a little pricey but due to the location and activities available it does equal itself out. The staff are really friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make your experience worthwhile, big shoutout to Hannah who built my confidence in touching the different sea creatures in the rock pool they had, it felt really strange feeling the different textures of starfish, sea urchins and crabs. Sea Life makes an excellent afternoon out for all the family, you learn so much about all the different sea mammals and fish, especially getting to experience it all around you. They also have a viewing platform that overlooks Loch Lomond and is absolutely beautiful, really shows how big the loch actually is. They have an onsite cafe which we seen but didn’t go, but it also overlooks Loch Lomond, so whilst having lunch or an afternoon snack you get a great view. It might be a little bit overpriced but definitely worth it if you are visiting for the first time, Sea Life is in a great central location to the Loch Lomond Sea Shore and is a must see attraction if you are visiting for the first time.

Amazing experience with the sea life. Its almost like a therapy watching the sea creatures in the massive sea life tanks. And walk through ocean tunnel is mesmerizing. Must visit. Kids would definitely enjoy😍

  • 3/5 Joanne B. 5 months ago on Google
Love Sea Life centres and have never been disappointed. Just happened to be outside this one and thought I'd pop in. Before I knew it found myself in the shop at the end! For such a large building, the part you walk around is just the ground level and feels very small for the entrance charge! Apart from that, the same as any other Sea Life centre and.the story of Fiona the turtle was very moving. Staff were pleasant, could have just done with being larger or entrance fee reduced. I paid £19 on discount for any time entry, looking at the website it only saved me a few £! £10-£15 would be more appropriate.

  • 5/5 Monty P. 5 months ago on Google
Really enjoyed my experience at sea life today. The staff were very polite and welcoming and when explaining the turtles enclosure we were given a great introduction to her story. The receptionist was lovely and very welcoming. Only issue I had with this experience is it is very short for the price paid, however I did enjoy myself and Will be back !

  • 3/5 Muck H. 9 months ago on Google
Place is ok but at £17+ per ticket it’s a tad expensive for the size of the place and don’t be fooled it’s only on the bottom level other level are a cinema thing restaurant and a viewing deck that I must admit gives a great view of Loch Lomond

  • 3/5 Kirsty M. 1 year ago on Google
Great place full of fish and sealife creatures. Easily accessible for all with lifts and no stairs on entrance. Toilet facilities and a cafe on 3rd floor with lovely views of the Loch. Great for kids and families for a day out .. would say not a full day out maybe a few hours at most. Octonuauts cinema good for older kids. Maybe some more interactive areas would be good or some live shows or animal interactions.

  • 5/5 Hilary L. 1 year ago on Google
Great day out! Lots to see, we missed the turtle this time but will definitely be back to see her. Great value for money and there's a really nice cafe with a fantastic look out.

  • 5/5 Abdul A. 10 months ago on Google
If you are interested in marine life, then a visit to the Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Aquarium is definitely worth it. The aquarium offers a wide variety of marine animals, including sharks, rays, seahorses, and more. Additionally, the Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Aquarium offers informative talks and interactive experiences that allow you to learn more about the creatures in the aquarium and their natural habitats. There are also hands-on experiences available, such as touching starfish and crabs. The aquarium is also located in a beautiful area, so you can enjoy the stunning views of Loch Lomond while you are there. Overall, if you are interested in marine life and are looking for an educational and entertaining experience, then a visit to the Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Aquarium is definitely worth it.

  • 5/5 Evan H. 9 months ago on Google
Extremely nice, you must buy tickets in advance online, but you can do it right when you get there... the store is cashless, but the café takes cash on the 3rd floor. The movie Theater is quite large! Beautiful views!!

no words can describe this place. they got some beautiful gifts of nature. very fun yet knowledgeable place.. especially for marine biology enthusiasts.. tons of variety of fish that are taken care of by specialists... also the gift shop is cool as well .. p.s. what i used to watch in Nat Geo .. saw them here .. in real life ❤️ it's worth spending £17 for these beautiful underwater creatures 🐟🐠🐡🦈

  • 5/5 Ahairy H. 1 year ago on Google
Thought this was going to be another typical sea life centre but how wrong I was. The range of sealift was surprising and I really liked how the centre shared information on the species but also it’s locality within Scotland. The otters were sleeping we I was there after just being fed. The staff are very friendly and informative and the building is wheelchair friendly as all on one level. Definitely recommend the sea life centre for a visit for adults, kids & families. My only criticism is the option of the photographs at the end, I would have preferred it only as an electronic option instead of electronic and one printed one and this could reduce costs plus reduce on ink, film etc.

I took my son here for the first time and he absolutely loved it! He's only a baby but I would highly recommend it as a great sensory play for them! The rock pools are amazing, as he even got to put his hands in the water, which he loved. The staff are all so helpful and cheery. The Covid measures in the here are absolutely un-faultable. We felt so safe and there was plenty of hand sanitising stations everywhere. I will definitely be bringing my family here again.

  • 2/5 Sebastian S. 3 years ago on Google
Covid measures where not great and could be significantly improved. Won't recommend to go until this has been addressed. Also staff seems to take it a bit easy, e.g. measuring temperature on 50 cm away from you not wearing gloves or mask. Really sad as you can't refuse and get a refund apparently... Addendum: Standard corporate response that just outright rejects my observations. Any response other response than what's in the reply would have been more appropriate. I was very upset about the lady not wearing appropriate PPE and moving to the side of the screen while performing the temperature check. Response: 'didn't happen/can't happen' rather than taking criticism on board. It is very clear that many places have started to take COVID less serious and that's why we are in this mess. Same here.
