Spent the whole day here, and the weather was on our side. Graham was really knowledgeable and could tell he had a passion for falconry. The day was great and well thought out. Leant a lot about the birds. About lunch, which was delicious and filling, Graham then let us get up close with the birds and fly them. Would thoroughly recommend if you have an interest in birds of prey.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Handler was knowledgeable and experienced, our lesson was hands on and even included handling multiple different birds. Price was very fair even with a last minute booking! My partner and I had a fantastic time and it made for a fun and educational experience. I can't wait to do this again! My partner and I love Animals and this has made the top event our whole vacation! Really wished I lived locally to do this more often.

I bought a gift voucher for a Christmas gift for a half day experience. This is within easy reach from Glasgow by car. Graeme is extremely knowledgeable about birds of prey and we all learned a lot about their sizes, hunting techniques, flight styles, weight and diet etc. Flying a few birds to the glove was a thrilling experience even as an observer. I recommend booking in advance as it can be busy. Overall a very enjoyable experience and it is obvious these birds are very well looked after and cared for by Graeme.

Both my wife and I felt our time and experience at Strathblane Falconry on Sunday, 26/09/21 was greatly worthwhile. I had arranged this surprise experience for my wife to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary and when she came to know what we were going to be doing she was so delighted. We signed up for the taster session and managed to achieve plenty personal time with the birds. We gained a deeper knowledge of the birds living conditions and at any point of the experience was given the opportunity to ask questions all of which we got answers to. It is with confidence we can say falconry guide Graeme Neilson is a true and dedicated professional. He was friendly, calm and knowledgeable. Graeme gave us clear instructions of what to do and not to do before bringing out the birds. But most of all he was down to earth, passionate and this showed in his birds as they were outstanding in there performance which made our experience even more enjoyable. Graeme has left us with a lasting impression and we have full faith that he would do the same for anyone else who wishes to experience falconry. We had a fantastic afternoon spent at Strathblane Falconry. We got my dad vouchers for the half day falconry experience for his birthday, so my 6 year old son & I went along to watch while my dad took part. Graham was very informative and engaging with the group, involving us all including my son who loved learning all about the birds and interesting facts about them! We loved getting to meet and see lots of the birds, and enjoyed watching my dad and the rest of the group get to handle the birds on the glove and take part in flying demonstrations too. It was a really brilliant afternoon, Graham has so much knowledge and experience and that’s clear to see with how much information he was able to share and how well kept and healthy all of his birds are. Graham also came along to our wedding in 2018 to provide our wedding guests with a falconry experience during our reception and our guests still talk about how fantastic and interesting that was! Would definitely recommend the falconry experience package and the wedding package with Strathblane Falconry and we’ll definitely be back!

A wonderful experience, Graham really knew how to handle these birds of prey. A real hands on experience with a variety of birds and fascinating background talks about their nature, and how they live and hunt. You can tell he really loves his topic. Highly recommended, and only a short drive from Glasgow. Our 14 year old was strong enough to have all the birds land on his arm, and Graham brought out a smaller bird for our 12 year old, so everyone had a great experience.

Booked a half day experience for my boyfriend’s birthday and I was able to go along as a spectator. It was a great experience even for me just watching! We booked an introductory session and had a great time, it was an amazing feeling to hold birds of prey, beautiful creatures and characters, Graham is very knowledgeable and we will certainly come back again.

We booked a morning session for a work event for 7 people and I can highly recommend this. Everyone really enjoyed it and we spend a large part of that evening, at dinner, talking about it. Beautiful location and not far from Glasgow. Really interesting facts and information about the birds and superbly presented with great enthusiasm and humour. Getting up close to the birds is marvellous – the eagle is slightly terrifying, but in a good way, and a massive owl flying onto your hand is something I wont forget in a hurry. I highly recommend this

Wonderful experience! Graham was full of information and stories, and he handles his birds with respect and cantankerous good humor. We were allowed to hold and have the birds fly to us but he kept everyone safe and everyone's boundaries respected by not allowing us to pet or stroke. We had no young children in our party so I don't know how this would go over with younger kids eager to touch. However the demonstration is great just to watch - the birds are beautiful and full of personality.

We were able to learn about an array of birds, while having the opportunity to handle some! It was an amazing experience and I would gladly recommend this experience to anyone! It is absolutely a must try and the staff was very friendly and helped us snag a local taxi when we were stranded. Loved every minute of the falconry!

This experience was a highlight of our two weeks in Scotland. The adults and children loved the informative talk while handling the birds and, of course, having a bird-in-flight alight on their arm is something no one will ever forget!

I came here with my family in 2021 as a surprise birthday present. Graeme could not have been more accommodating and went above and beyond. He spent lots of time with all of us, helping to fly the variety of birds he had and providing a bit of history of the birds as well as their likes and dislikes allowing us to have a bit of a connection to them. An incredible corporate experience. We took our team to Strathblane for a corporate day out that offered something unique and a bit different. We phoned Graham and he put together a package that would suit us perfectly. His knowledge and respect for his birds is very apparent from the outset and we quickly learned what we should and should not be doing around the birds. From holding the eagles and owls, to watching the falcons swoop through the forest and land on your hand is an incredible experience. Graham is a massive character and made the day both educational and fun. The team were absolutely buzzing for days afterwards.

What a brilliant experience - our host was a very welcoming person who very obviously cares deeply for his birds. There were two of us there for an afternoon half day session. He introduced us to each of the different kinds of birds there, and explained lots of different facts about each. The depth of his knowledge was brilliant and we learned a lot. Afterwards we were able to handle multiple different birds - from Falcons, to Kestrels, Owls to an eagle. And each were flying with us. After which, we were introduced to a Harris Hawk - we walked with this hawk, as it followed us through the trees of a woodland area, recalling it to the glove occasionally - what an amazing way to see how the Harris hawks fly. I could not recommend this more!

Amazing! It was a great experience, for us all, adults and children alike. Fearing that such a visit will be an intro to exploitation of wild animals I was happy to find Graeme at the helmet. A real bird lover, who lives his birds. It was wonderful to handle each of the birds, and have Graeme's humorous commentary. Highly recommended!

Fantastic day out, travelled from the North East and certainly will again -- utterly worth the trip. Made special by Graham and his feathered friends, which he treats with respect. Very good care appears to be taken of the birds by someone who very clearly knows what he's doing and cares enough to do it right. No doubt he'll see us again !!!! As a family, we went to Strathblane Falconry and we would go back in a heartbeat! We saw the birds, held the birds and flew the birds ourselves. This Falconry has some amazing birds of prey including eagles, owls and many more. It was one of those unforgettable experiences - having a falcon fly and land on your arm. I highly recommend this to family's and individuals of all ages, this will be an experience you will never forget!

Graeme was excellent. Very patient with my wife who was terrified and convinced an eagle would peck her eye out. Great knowledge of his birds and very good at explaining things. The birds were magnificent and even when a cheeky Harris hawk decided it wasn't playing he responded well and made the whole day worth while. Can't recommend enough. Nice to see such beautiful birds so well cared for.

Falconry was on our bucket list and Strathblane more than checked the box for us! We had a wonderful time getting to know the birds as well as learning more about the art of falconry. Flying the owls was our favorite part. The experience was a highlight for us!

We booked for Graeme to come to our venue the day after our wedding and do a falconry display for our guests who were staying over. It was absolutely brilliant. Graeme brought so many birds - they were all beautiful - and he knew so much about them all. It was really fun and a few of us were even able to handle the birds. We absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend!

I spent the late afternoon yesterday with 2 friends at Strathblane Falconry. Graeme introduced us to his beautiful birds- falcons, owls, hawks and an eagle. Being up close and handling these magnificent raptors has been a dream for me- crossing this item off of my bucket list with Graeme exceeded my expectations. My friends and learned about falconry and Graeme's particular birds... and each of us got to handle a white faced owl, a falcon-gyr cross, a peregrine falcon, an eagle and a Harris hawk. Go visit Strathblane Falconry and have a fantastic experience!

This was our favorite experience during our two week trip to Scotland. Graeme was very personal and knowledgeable, and accommodated my father who walks slowly. We got to see a large variety of birds, and the experience was paced excellently.

Owner was friendly and talkative - quite a story teller. Our session ran 30 minutes over as he regaled us with stories. A personal demonstration that was impressive and enjoyable. Slow-mo video on your phone makes for an impressive landing on your hand!
