Horrible attitude from a receptionist today. My partner and I popped in to ask to use the toilet, the law in Scotland allows this and the receptionist was horribly rude. She was sarcastic and snarky. She mocked us and denied us access. She was unaware of the law and had an issue with us wanting to quickly use the toilet. I don't know what she felt it was costing her and why she was so against us simply nipping in for a pee. What an agro way to exist and I wonder how she has never found herself in a similar situation. I hope that if in the future she has need of a loo she comes across someone a little kinder than she was to us today. Seriously I know I'm being a bit extra bit what an unnecessary attitude and the accompanying attitude was just not what I would want someone visiting our City to encounter. If this receptionist would take a little pride in her job and have an awareness of the potential to extend a helping hand this interaction could have been entirely different. A little consideration for people's needs and a little human decency wouldn't go amiss. She had no awareness that there may have been a disability issue to consider. I'm glad we hadn't gone in looking for help with anything more serious, not a friendly or remotely approachable atmosphere for a hotel reception in the very heart of Glasgow city centre. The reception and the attitude of the greet staff are such huge factors in the atmosphere of a hotel and this one interaction has certainly put me off staying or recommending this hotel as a welcoming location. Hopefully this is an attitude that could be improved with a little training and maybe just a little bit of consideration from the receptionist herself as I am certain she will remember the interaction. Unless of course it is her habit to be course and unpleasant to everyone she encounters.

Entering the room, I was delighted to find it spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could desire. The plush bedding and carefully chosen furnishings ensured a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. Throughout my stay, the hotel's attention to detail truly shone. The housekeeping staff did an outstanding job of maintaining the cleanliness of the room, and the thoughtful turndown service added an extra touch of luxury to my evenings. The hotel's location was also a major plus. Situated conveniently close to several attractions and public transport links, it made exploring Glasgow hassle-free. In conclusion, the Millennium Hotel Glasgow exceeded my expectations in every way, especially in terms of arrival and departure experience, location, attention to details as well as a very professional staff. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable, luxurious, and stress-free stay in Glasgow. Whether you are visiting for business or leisure, the Millennium Hotel Glasgow will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on you. I genuinely hope to return for another memorable stay!

The bar in this place is woeful, had a drink after getting off the train. No pints only bottles and their fridge was broke so the beer was room temperature. Will never return to this so called pub

Customer service was very good. Jojo at the reception was very friendly and helpful and managed to find a room to check in to very quickly. The location is perfect with walkable distances to attractions and with the train station next door. Although the rooms could be more modernised, they had an olden aesthetic which some may even prefer!

Great location, right next to queen's St railway station. Nice little bar set up. Good place to come to for drinks!

Staff friendly enough but hotel is very run down. Beds uncomfortable and tiles in bathroom cracked, cables lying about hall ways. Restaurant was unable to provide hot breakfast due to staff absences which again was disappointing as surely a hotel should have staff back up.

A fine old hotel in the centre of Glasgow, stayed numerous times and always nice to sit in the conservatory with a drink and watch the hustle and bustle of George Square. Rooms are dated but staff are always up to the job. Nice buffet breakfast too.

The hotel is in a very central location and very easy to reach. However it is adjacent to a train station, and one gets to listen all the announcements of departures and arrivals from 7am to 10 pm. The hotel building is good, though the rooms need a lot of renovation. The furniture were very weary giving the impression that they were bought from a cheap secondhand shop. The breakfast was very poor making the guests feel unwelcome.

We had a short, one night stay. Room was excellent, very comfortable. Breakfast was good, plenty choice and easy to select. Central location but little or no noise even on a Saturday night.

A good hotel near central station. The location is super with loads to do and see near the hotel. From our room we didn't hear anything from outside though, so we had a good night sleep. The hotel room is big, but nothing to fancy. It was perfect for our short stay in Glasgow!

Obviously a very old building, and I understand that you can't (or even want to, it's all about flair) keep everything modern. However, on the whole it is already possible to make the stay perhaps a little more pleasant, for example, when checking the functionality of the furniture, decorate the rooms a little fresher. The breakfast buffet could also easily be made a bit more varied. But here, too, you will have your reasons to keep it as it is. Next time I stay in Glasgow I will stay somewhere else.

Nice looking bar however most of the beers on tap not available! Stood for 26 minutes while the two bar staff made cocktails. Was then ignored as they began serving newly arrived customers. I left won’t return.

We stayed there 3 days in May, great location, Queen St Station, Hop on Hop off and airport bus all within a 3 min walk, lots of restaurants and shopping close by. Our receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our large room overlooked the square. Rooms need some TLC, but we loved the character and history of the hotel.

The receptionist is not professional at all she was absolutely not interested in answer the information I had to ask and she was looking really annoyed! Very poor costumer service that doesn’t worth the stay. Do not spend your money at that Hotel it’s a scam!!!

Excellent customer service by Claire on Reception / Bar. Made sure we had all we needed. Lovely setting, right next door to Queen St station and near to Glasgow's best shopping.

Bar staff slow and didn't know the difference between a double and two Gin & Tonics. The room was clean and well maintained but dated. The bed, the main reason for booking the hotel is to sleep, was awful. Very uncomfortable, not a good night sleep. Glad we only booked one night.

Although advertised at £79 we were actually charged £201 - for one room one night (apparently price hikes for a Saturday). We expected a lot more for that price. The room was stuffy and furniture was grubby. Couldn't open window, had to get someone to find a key to open it. Bed not comfortable. Seemed quite short staffed. Same woman (helpful) was on reception and ran up to room to find the key, also worked at breakfast. The breakfast was pretty bog standard buffet. In bar, most beer taps were off, had to have a beer not to my own liking. These may all be small points but for that price expected much morec...disappointed. Good location though. Staff lovely, reception and lobby all very smart but our room was a disappointment. Stains on the carpet, bath board hanging off, it just didn't feel clean as it was so dated. Breakfast was pleasant, just don't bother with the white gloopy scrambled eggs!

Great location but 7am start for the Queen Street announcements. Room was small, no AC, no fridge, safe had run out of battery so wouldn't work. 4th floor and windows so high you couldn't reach them and curtains nearly impossible to close. Breakfast was good. Would rate it as 2-3 star only.
