Such a strange hotel. Unfortunately my room was infested with flies, including inside the lights (see picture). I told staff and they said they would look into it. It clearly wasn’t a new thing. I asked for another coffee sachet as there was only one in my room. After some fumbling around in the cupboards the 2 staff members didn’t know where to find any. Good location in the city centre. Could be so much better with better staff and a bit of a renovation.

Stayed for one night at Z Hotel in Glasgow and had an amazing experience. The room was very tidy and well equipped. The location is right in the middle of everything, right near the centre, lots of pubs and restaurants, as well as being near the train station. The best part of our stay, however, was the staff at reception. We came in to have a drink in the bar and were greeted by Kornelia and Hassan, who were very friendly and made our night. They talked to us and made us feel really welcome. We had a lot of fun talking to them and we ended up staying for a few. Thanks guys, we'll definitely be back!

Great location. We were just passing through Glasgow. We were looking for a reasonable priced hotel, just for one night. We didn't want to miss our early flight at the Glasgow Airport. Z hotel was far the most reasonably priced among those that is close to the Train station. We were very pleasantly surprised. Even though the room itself was small, with great design it had everything we needed. The room was also clean and had a cozy, friendly feeling. Hotel staff also friendly and accommodating. Appreciated those small gestures of providing a good selection coffe, tea and hot chocolate. I highly recommend this hotel.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This web site will compare thousands of booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you won't regret it. Room was very clean and tidy. No window but I knew that before I ventured there. Having no window assisted with being able to have a good nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and nothing was an issue for them. Would definitely use this hotel again!

I had a great experience at the Z Hotel Glasgow - I had to reschedule my booking due to an injury, and the front desk team was very helpful! When I arrived my room was clean, cozy, and bright. There was water, a kettle, a TV, and a modern bathroom. The staff is super kind and helpful with recommendations- also, I’d recommend booking directly with staff for a yummy cheese plate!

When you come to this hotel, you have to remember its great location and the fair price you pay for your room. The room was tiny and I didn't have windows so it was kind of humid. The room was very clean and the bathroom really nice. The bed was ok. The staff is nice and helpful. The lobby is comfortable. The soundproofing is ok.

Absolutely stellar place to stay. The rooms are cosy and the staff are brilliant. A particular shoutout to Paul (evening manager) and Marilyn, who both work the night shift at the recption/bar. Very lovely and caring people who are up for a good chat and happy to provide you with whatever amenities you need. My stay here was elevated 10× because of these two wonderful staff members. I booked a windowless queen size room, it was small and cosy and fitted all my needs. The shower is amongst the best and most satisying around. Wonderful location as you are 5 seconds from George Square, and 5 seconds from the centre of Glasgow town. Can not recommend this place enough

This hotel was recommended by a few mutuals and I believed it lived up to their hype. All staff was welcoming and attentive, especially Marlyn Fulton and Carly Watson who greeted us at reception. The rooms were modern and comfortable and was perfect for a night away in the centre, perfect location with bars and restaurants nearby. Will look forward to staying here again!

We stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. The rooms are modern (almost to a fault – the bathroom setup for our room really tested our bond), albeit a bit on the smaller side. We mostly chose this hotel for the location as it's within walking distance to restaurants and attractions, so being able to enjoy the room and service was a bonus.

Great hotel. Compact but very nice modern rooms with AC, big TV, very comfy bed and pillows. Really fast check-in with friendly staff. Free WiFi and complimentary water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Great location and value. Will stay here again.

This hotel is in the perfect central Glasgow location. Extremely close to Queen St station and George Square. I had the smallest room and knew it had no windows. Fine by me! The room was cleaned daily and had everything I needed. Efficient staff.

The hotel is perfectly located, in the heart of the city. Many things to see around. Check-in was very quick and hassle free. Room is small, cosy and has all basic amenities one can possibly need. Good bed also, ensures a good sleep.

I wasn’t expecting much because the rate was so low but I was pleasantly surprised when I got there. The place is modern and clean as is the room itself. Desk staff were extremely accommodating. I’d stay there again.

Spent 3 nights here recently, costing just over £50 a night, and thoroughly enjoyed it once again after having some time at this hotel in 2022 too. Staff are all attentive; location is just off the lovely George Square so close to everything going on in the vibrant city, rooms are compact but they've been designed in a really good way with everything you need with comfy beds and Sky TV there as well which you don't get in many hotel establishments. Slept great through my stay with the building being sound proofed. Couldn't find fault with anything & will be booking another stay for next year.

A nice hotel with nicer staff. Hasan and Paul were incredibly helpful sorting our booking and made the check-in process stress free despite our unusual arrival time. Between the low cost, customer service and well presented rooms, would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Just an overnight stay. Great city centre location. Room was small but very clean. Lacked storage space but for 1 night this wasn't an issue. Very polite staff and the 11am check out was a bonus too

Always one of my favourite hotels in the city. Always very cheaply priced, rooms are small but comfortable, staff have always been faultless and lovely. Location is as good as you'll get in Glasgow as its a 2min walk to Queen Street Station and George Square. I've never taken up the offer of the free wine and cheese but it's a lovely touch, maybe on my next visit, which hopefully won't be too long. Wonderful hotel.

Location is great, just off st George sq. Near train station, and bus station. cheaper then premier bin. Membership is free. Free glass wine and cheese per day stayed. Comfy beds . Always wanna help at desk get you best room or give you late check out. Font bother with other meh places here won't let you down

A warm, friendly welcome, great staff, comfortable rooms and a decent breakfast to start the day, they even have umbrellas to borrow against the odd Glasgow downpour. It's worth booking direct with them for the complimentary wine & cheese plate-a lovely touch

Great small hotel right in the center of town. Our room was on the small side but comfortable, clean and very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent for our one night stay in the city!

I was quite pleased with my stay at this hotel. For the money I spent I was even more pleased! The room I stayed in, while small was efficient and provided everything I needed as a solo traveler. Same room might have been cramped for a couple Very short walk from train station !

Was going a coach trip and wanted to be at bus station at a good time in morning so booked this hotel as it was recommended and handy nice and compact TV shower table in room with kettle could make tea coffees hot chocolate I did use facilities front staff very nice could go downstairs and have a breakfast think extra charge though I didn't need the breakfast but nice clean hotel good for 1 or 2 night stay I will be returning

Very pleasant stay here at the Z Hotel. Hotel is located 2 minutes walk from Queen Street and is close to everything Glasgow has to offer. Very modern decor inside as well. Rooms are small but it is only a bed for the night and has a very good shower and bathroom so not something worth moaning about. I would have given this a 5 star but there were ongoing building works that I wasn't informed about which took place in the morning. I do think besides this the Z Hotel was perfect and I will definitely return.

Great little hotel. Right in the heart of the city. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are always immaculately clean. Rooms are literally just bedrooms with every inch used to the maximum, but if you are after a clean place to stay(primarily as a place to sleep) in the centre of the city, then don’t look past this place. We now stay here anytime we are visiting Glasgow.

  • 5/5 Alison R. 1 year ago on Google
First class little hotel just steps from St George's square and an easy walk from Queen Street Station. The rooms are on the cozy side and don't offer much bathroom privacy ~ but very clean and very cleverly designed. Good value for money with super friendly staff. If you're feeling pecking at midnight ~ choose between the delicious wedges or pizza, a available 24/7. Axxx

Good access from Queen Street station as just along the road. Very quick check in to a comfortable room with all the amenities needed for a short break. Ground floor was quite loud as 002 is right next to the lift so you can hear other guests coming and going - not great at 1.30am. Would stay here again but request to be on a higher /quieter floor and room.

Friendly staff, very good location and cheap. However, some of the rooms don't have windows so pay attention when booking. I had a room with a window but the windows are sealed so they can't be opened and they're pretty dirty. Rooms are very small, there's very little space. No ironing board, no iron. I asked for an extra duvet as the room felt a bit chilly and I couldn't adjust the air con temperature. The duvets are thin but heavy so I kept waking up at night under their eight. There's also some kind of vibration like sound that's there 24/7. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to avoid this hotel

Arrived half hour before 3 o'clock when you normally would check in and they had a room ready for us. Room is small, clean, has tea, coffee, water and flat screen TV with Sky TV. Loved the shower and the water pressure. Good location and despite being in the city centre, was quiet and you could rest properly.

  • 5/5 Lynne B. 1 year ago on Google
Very impressed. Wee room but the shower room great. Friendly staff and clean. Perfect location right near bus station and Queen Street train station. Will book again but a bigger room. Only downfall was room too hot and air conditioning loud

The hotel is located in one of the best spots, at the city center and yet in the corner that has satisfying privacy. The translucent bathroom wall and the big transparent glass windows look good, but together they give a bit less privacy which is not much of a problem. The reception greeted me with a warm welcome. It is also my first time traveling abroad and booking a hotel, but they answered all my queries with pleasure. The cleaning service is really nice as well.

Great little budget hotel. Right round the corner from Glasgow Queen Street rail station. Staff very friendly. Room was small and compact but had everything we needed for a one-night stay. Very clean and modern. Particularly liked the laminate wood floor - HATE carpets in hotel rooms which are probably full of bugs and bacteria! Water pressure was good and strong in shower. Instant hot and cold water in washbasin. Towels were good quality and bigger than usual for a budget hotel. Tea/coffee making kit in room. Bed was a little too soft for our old backs and there was some noise of footsteps on the wood floor above but those were our only complaints; otherwise we’d give it 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent value for the centre of Glasgow!

Beautiful old building, converted to a funky city centre hotel. Friendly, clean and perfectly located. My only gripe was the double bed is really small and (for me!) too soft (aren't I precious!!) The rooms are tiny, but I suppose totally adequate for a city stopover.

Room and decor was first class. A very high standard. That's the only positive. If you're over 6ft forget about stretching out in bed. I'm just under and the room is that small and claustrophobic with the failed air con this room is very stuffy. Forget having a decent night's sleep. The bathroom/shower is connected to the room with the only blocking is a steamed window, forget this place if you feel uncomfortable using the toilet with others around. Giving this hotel 1 star feels so wrong as there was no option to give any lesser.

The Z Hotel is good for people that have a short stay in Glasgow. The staff is friendly and the room was clean and very nice, it was only a bit small, but apart from that it was nice. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast in the Hotel, I would rather go and eat breakfast in a restaurant, because you only get intercontinental breakfast in the hotel. The intercontinental breakfast is good, but if you want a Scottish breakfast I would recommend eating out.

Amazing hotel, one of my favourites in Glasgow, rooms are small but not suffocating, set out really well, staff are lovely, been given a discount on rooms and upgrades for visiting more than once. Great for a romantic city trip, right on the edge of George Square and same road as Queen St Station, down the road from Buchanan Bus Station and about a 10/15 min walk from Central Station. Make sure you check out the bathrooms, though, glass sliding doors with enough privacy for a partner but not enough for family!!! They also do cheese and wine for free past 6.30pm if you book directly with them!

Stayed here 2019 for my annual Christmas Glasgowtrip.2 year hiatus courtesy of Covid, back for 4 nights this year 5-9 December. A lovely stay, staff welcoming, friendly and helpful(as before). Great location, great price for city centre, lovely room.Cheese& wine in evenings a lovely wee bonus for guests. Highly recommend this hotel ,the staff make a good stay superb.

I love the compact rooms, they aren't for everyone but for a couple on short getaway it's perfect. The staff kept the room so tidy when we nipped out and kept on top of the mugs used and water. A little thing is I wish that in one nook of the room there was even just an extra shelf that would've been perfect to lay out a few of our things as if it had been a longer stay we would've started to run a little short on space. The bedding is amazing, pillows are very comfy and made us upset to return to our own bed and pillows, truly a comfortable experience. Very few things we didn't like on our stay, one issue we had was the TV does seem to dim as you get toward night time (could be dim all the time don't fully remember) both being night owls and coming back to the hotel at the end of the day meant to only time we used the TV you couldn't fully see what was on it, more of a pet peeve than a full issue.

What a wee find! I was a bit worried about a windowless room but omg the sleep I had was amazing! Staff were lovely and room had everything I needed for a wee stopover. Coffee etc in room powerful shower. Would highly recommend it was 3 minutes walk to Queen Street station.

1st time here. Great central location. Arrived very early and a room was available so in before 11am instead of 3pm. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is available. Free wifi. Room was decent size with double shower. TV had all channels including movies and HD. Kettle with tea, coffee and milk in room. Bed was comfy too. Definitely use here again.

So central. Easy walkable. Friendly personel. Next to George Square and Queen Station for train. Great value for money. Clean room. Very comfortable sleep. Coffee & tea water in room. Hairdryer and little amenities. Just what needed for a quick one night stop.

On arrival the room was very small, the so called double bed wouldn’t fit myself in it never mind me and my partner. The hotel staff kindly upgraded us. The rooms were spotless the only down fall was you heard the city noise all night this can be easily fixed with better windows. The Tv in our room did not work correctly and the heating also made a ticking noise all night. I can not fault the service from the staff and how clean the hotel was but unfortunately we would not return due to not being able to sleep well. Great location if your a deep sleeper.

Spent a night here for work and had a great time. The place is clean, inviting and perfect for a short working stay. All the staff that I talked to were great, especially Paul and Nathan on the night who I talked to while in the cafe working. Lovely staff all round though, couldn't fault the place! Will be back!
