I stayed with a tour group and then came down with COVID. The hotel allowed me to stay where I was for 3 extra nights so I could isolate. They brought me breakfast trays and I ordered room service for dinner. They made sure I was ok and comfortable.

Great experience at this hotel, it's in a great location for the hydro and Finnieston. Checking was smooth and efficient, free water on arrival. Room was a twin facing the river, it was a little on the cramped side but was fine for one nigh, beds and bedding comfortable. Good range of toiletries and thick towels, plus face cloths which is always good to have. Didn't use the kettle but noticed there was only decaf coffee inthe sachets. We had breakfast which was top notch, really tasty cooked and continental options, waffles and pastries. Well worth the money, only £10 if you book when you check in

Ideal central location for SEC and central Glasgow area but quite and restful by the river. Fantastic welcome and staff throughout our stay. Room was ready with travel cot as I was travelling with baby. Helpful and happy staff, very approachable and helpful. The guest laundry (washer & dryer) was a godsend as baby managed to spit up all over the clothes and spare clothes we brought by end of the 1st night.

Loved our stay here, it's a little further out of the city centre but we just got some of the rental E-bikes to scoot back and forward to the city and it was great. The room was very clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. But the best part was the breakfast included in the price - it was a hot plate buffet style with lots of options and they catered really well for vegans, having vegan sausages made to order was wonderful! And roasted broccoli at breakfast?!? Yes pls!! Best hotel breakfast we've had as vegans!

Overall my stay was very poor, well below the standard I expect from Hilton, having stayed in many over the years. Upon arrival I found that they had "upgraded" my booking from a queen room to a twin room, with the explanation of moving me to a room with a river view constituted an upgrade. The staff were not very helpful in this matter and couldn't seem to understand why I didn't think going from a queen room to a twin was not in fact an upgrade. A colleague also staying at the hotel had a very similar experience with staff relating to a completely different issue with their room. Outside of the lobby, the whole hotel needs a full refurbishment and modernising. The hotel feels very early 2000s, with a lot of cheap veneer, old cracked tiles and overall poor quality. The room itself was clean although the beds and sheets were very poor quality and uncomfortable, the same can be said for the pillows which provided no support, giving me quite the poor night sleep and a neck ache. The hotel breakfast was edible but not what I would call good, the restaurant area was cramped and very slow to restock plates, bowls and food. I will not be staying there again and will be looking for alternatives to other Hilton hotels based on this experience.

Perfect for shows at the SSE hydro. Basic rooms but includes a mini fridge which is always helpful. Many shops surrounding the area and lovely staff.

The workers are nice and the beds are good. Thats all the good I could really say. The shower head in our room leaked. The toilet didnt want to flush. The construction started early and was noisy. The main door was closed and there was no signage of where the alternatives to exit were. Its a close enough walk to city center, but dont expect subway or Scotrail accessibility.

Very friendly staff, love breakfast, room comfortable but slight issue with shower head not staying in position... but bed/room was comfortable enough. Thanks

Great location, sound proofing in hotel was excellent. Without exception all hotel staff were great. Gym small but had everything needed for a quick work out. Breakfast was outstanding dinner was good too. Room (particularly the bathroom) was dated and in need of a little TLC. Bed very comfy and it was handy to have a fridge. Parking rate for guests £8 for 24hrs was reasonable too.

We've had a pretty good stay here at the Hilton on the last day of our holiday. Unfortunately, there were 2 big tour groups that also checked in that day and it seemed like that there wasn't enough staff around to help manage the groups. Nevertheless, the rooms we were given were great! The front desk helped in ensuring that we were all staying on the same floor and the view from the rooms were great. They were quick to provide extra amenities and were helpful in directing us to the laundry facilities in the hotel. We loved that we were able to do our laundry, which is a perk that not every hotel offers. The staff on duty during breakfast were very kind and helpful in assisting us with the items served in the buffet as well. We love the breakfast spread here.

Worst stay possible. The key card machine did not work for the first day and night stay. I am really sure I got food poisoning from their breakfast, since that was the only meal I had different from my other travelers who were fine. They lost our reservations for our 2nd night tried to blame our travel company. Ended up moving our stuff to new rooms after it was cleared up. Things were damaged and missing. When told about this did not seem to care. Also conveniently they throw away the paperwork showing how many nights stay when they changed our room. No USB ports in room and both tvs would restart themselves while in the middle of watching a show.

We had a great stay here. Reception staff were very friendly when we arrived. Although arriving a couple hours before check-in, our room wasn’t ready so they offered us a twin room with a complimentary drink and a free breakfast with free parking instead. That was very appreciated. The room was nice and it had great views right next to the river. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice to suit all tastebuds. Would highly recommend if staying in Glasgow, a great quiet location.

Had an overnight stay with my 2 sisters. We had a twin and a double room both on the 4th floor, both with river views. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds and the bathrooms with power shower - we all slept well. The food was extremely good (we’ll all had sea bass as our main at dinner and it was excellent) and breakfast was everything you could ask for. The staff were truly wonderful - reception, bar and restaurant - all very friendly and helpful. The only negative comment I have is that it’s “cashless” everything paid by card, but that’s just a sign of the times. We will definitely return soon.

Had a 2-night stay at this hotel. The front desk service was incredibly inadequate. Not only did they fail to activate my key card on the second day, but when I requested a facial tissue, I received a hand towel instead after waiting for over an hour. The facial tissue in the room was of low quality and almost empty, with no refill done on the second day. Used glasses were left untouched. When I asked for an extra blanket, the front desk staff said that she'd check on its availability. I heard nothing back from her. How can a hotel not have an extra blanket on hand? The air conditioner emitted a constant noise throughout the night, disrupting sleep. The quality of the breakfast was abysmal. All in all, this hotel has the worst front desk service and management I've ever encountered during my travels.

Ive been to this hotel several times, and as a Hilton Gold I can definitely say that the service I experienced this time is appalling: my room key stopped working when I returned from town and I was wet due to the weather, there were over 20 people waiting to check in at reception and only 1 staff member. No other staff i asked around the hotel was willing to help me with the keys. I tried phoning the hotel, but no one was answering, so I had to queue for 40 mins at reception… on top of that they have only 1 lift working that takes forever to arrive… I with i stayed at a travelodge.

Staff were lovely, couldn't have asked for better. We booked a table at the restaurant ,service was fast and the meal was great. All in all a good and stress-free experience. Thank you to all the staff, your effort really does make the difference. We had went to a concert at the hydro and the hotel experience rounded of a great trip.

Hotel was in walking distance of restaurants. Easy access to the nightlife district of downtown as well. Breakfast had alot of choices and food was good.

I'm very disappointed with this hotel considering its a Hilton. We paid £175-00 per night x 2 which is overpriced for what you get. I'm sure your paying a premium because its next to the Hydro Centre which is wrong. The room is no better than a Travelodge, But what was worse is the total lack of organisation in the bar& restaurant area. We were told there wasn't a table available until the concert had started in the restaurant which is bad ,so we had to sit in the bar, which was acceptable but then after an hour was told you have to move as your table is reserved. I told the cheeky girl with glasses I'm not moving so they split the tables. The breakfast wasn't any better, The tables were not being cleaned and left in a mess and I had to ask for a cup for our coffee and a plate for our food, un - acceptable in my eyes. What it needs is a professional supervisor to organise the kids in there. We travel a lot and this hotel is poorly run.

Excellent hotel, staff were all attentive & pleasant. We had dinner here which was really good, I had recess burger, my wife had steak frittes, both meals were absolutely delicious. Great views of Clyde from bedroom window, breakfast was buffet style and was plentiful & fresh with a good variety. We had a wee drink in the bar area, which has a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely recommend, we'll be back.

Hotel is still under construction!! Very loud drilling that woke us up really early. It’s very far down the quays, about a 35 minute walk from the city centre. Staff were really nice and it is spotless but definitely would not recommend staying here

A stay of 2 halves. The majority of the stay was great, especially the complementary Tunnocks tea cakes! However, I requested my room be left unserviced during my stay and despite their environmental policy they ignored my choice. The staff were helpful and friendly but on my last eve, the key card reader on my room door failed and they weren't able to fix it so I had to move rooms. Which after already staying 3 nights and finding my favourite pillow was annoying and frustrating. The staff were great but the building could do with updating both inside and out.

Very good hotel right at the city centre with some good views Very accessible and the car park is handy incase you drive. Good buffet selection available for breakfast. The room had no soap available in the bathroom, I wish this can be checked before a new guest is booked.

I'm from Glasgow so maybe I'm biased but it's a great view of the Clyde ideal for gigs and excellent Indian restaurant just along the street from the hotel. Hotel staff were amazing the teacakes at the reception was a nice intro to Scotland. To the people who have negative view of location just along the street there a bus stop that has a regular bus service into town and back again so please enough already, you get what you pay for!!

Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent Diamond treatment with upgrade and free drink. Good shower and comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again - esp given the box of Tunnock's teacakes at reception 😜 My only suggestion for breakfast would be to replenish things a little more frequently - bacon, eggs and beans were all a really dried out and had clearly been sitting under the heat lamp for quite a while, a bit of a disappointment after seeing the positive reviews of the breakfast here.

This is a 3 star property at best, I don't know how it got its 4 stars, the room is very basic, is the bar really so low in Glasgow? No one ever picks up the phone, either reception or operator, or is the phone in my room broken? The mini fridge in my room was not functioning, I went down to the reception, hear this, lol "...the fridge is not supposed to cool anything down, it stays kinda warm..." with another receptionist echoing " yeah, it's not a freezer...". I'm sorry, so what purpose does the fridge serve then? just another regular storage unit with room temperature? who trained these people? can't even give an excuse that actually makes sense? Later on, I asked for a pair of slippers, they said they don't have that. If you're gonna call yourself a 4 star hotel, at least offer standard 4 star amenities.

Overpriced for what you get. The hotel is undergoing construction works, and my 'room with a river view' I paid for actually looked out onto the scaffolding and the window was covered in grime. However the staff at the front desk relocated me to a better room without any hassle. There was no mention at the point of booking that construction works were going on. The room interiors are dated and in need of a refurbishment - stained and torn carpets, extractor fan in the toilet not working, skirting boards grubby and not cleaned, some odd smells in the room. Breakfast in the morning was very good. I have had better stays at a premier inn and for far less cost.

Business Trip. Room was of a satisfactory standard. Staff were v friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Always had a helpful and polite response to any queries. Good choice at breakfast and all seemed relatively fresh. Don't know why the bloomer bread cannot go through the toaster though🤔 It worked fine for me😁. I am sure if you are there for the stuff that is in that area its fine. However I was not and personally would have preferred to be closer to City Centre. My bad. Particularly at 0415 hrs when you need to walk in to city centre to catch the airport express bus. But that's on me not the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay that suited my needs perfectly. Thanks to all the friendly hotel staff.

Checked in about 4pm for a one night stay for a night out at the hydro. The hotel was in a really great location for this. One of the staff on the reception desk gave us directions to a local shop, which was helpful as we didn't know the place at all. The room was a bit dated and not one of the best Hiltons I have stayed in. Lots of stains on the carpet, chairs and curtains. Glass counter tops starting to separate and stained underneath. And the fridge/cooler didn't cool anything. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were far too soft for me so we didn't have the best sleep, but the shower was amazing, a bit cramped but the temperature and pressure of the shower was one of the BEST I've tried, (better than my own at home). At breakfast there was lots of food options and Laura was really friendly and spoke away to us as she was clearing some tables. Housekeeping did accidentally open our door and walk in as we were packing up to leave, they did apologise, but perhaps they could have knocked first. Check out was really eaay and a taxi was organised for us. When we left the staff on the desk let us know that they had refunded the cost of our breakfast as a sign of goodwill. That was totally unexpected and very generous. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Stayed here for a conference and it’s perfect for the SEC. It’s also a really nice hotel in itself, very comfy and well turned out rooms, I had a lovely view of the river too. The bar and breakfast were also great. Very friendly staff too.

Wanted to spend a little more for a really nice stay in a quiet area of Glasgow, but when we arrived, our river view room was covered in scaffolding and views of construction workers. Then we heard the drilling and general construction noise. They might as well have been in the room with us. We tried to switch rooms to one not so close to the construction, but of course, they are fully booked. Worst waste of money, booking with this hotel. We were woken up ridiculously early from the sounds of drills and hammers on the wall opposite our headboard. So much for peace and quiet.

Morning staff were very welcoming and professional. Rooms were nice, comfortable and clean(although my room was not reset yet when I came back at 4pm). Nice view from both side of hotels (just some works on the river side at the moment but no noises at night). The downside of my stay when I first came in the hotel , the receptionist didnt acknowledge me (i had to ask if i had to go to a computer to check in...)..and it made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome (maybe she had had a hard day). For the recess restaurant, it's very clean but I would say be careful as the food is on the dry side...in the morning scrambled eggs were dry and bacon very hard. Fried eggs and yoghurt with fruits were delicious! At dinner, my steak was look warm and very chewy...my colleague had the same problem...but everything else i had such as desserts, bread, fish and chips and soft drinks were really yummy! Oh yes and maybe check your irons, mine had water left in it and when I used it...it smelt like really old water ..so they might need to be rinsed on regular basis. Overall a very nice hotel, very nice location and nice staff. I would definitely come back!

Booked this hotel to see Red Hot Chili Peppers which was cancelled last minute. Used booking.com messaging service and communicated with Leah in the reservations team who has helped me change the dates of my stay. Thank you Leah for the help and excellent customer service! I could not have afforded to lose the booking I already had.

Stayed the night to go to a concert staff were fantastic and very helpful. It's a first come first served with their car park which is a fee of £8 to park all night. Recommend having breakfast here my husband said its was be best breakfast he's had in a long time fresh produce and more importantly it was all hot.
