We booked this hotel back in Oct 2021 for a trip this August. With less than a month before our visit the hotel had cancelled our reservation with the statement "We are no longer opened to the public on these dates". I called to get a bit more info as to why they decided this, with customer services not even fully aware of the situation themselves. Since then the situation has spiralled with cancellation after cancellation as we try and desperately find other accomodation which wont cost us an arm and a leg. The average rate for a 3 night stay in the city over the same dates has now surpassed £1000, and we're most likely going to have to completely cancel our trip and try to cut our losses.

I am a Ukrainian and the fact that they are abundant for us and for our children is commendable. The service is good and will always help, the rooms are great. the food is delicious only the breakfasts did not change for 6 weeks. and so everything is super💪

We had booked this hotel via Hotel.com in March 2022. On arrival at the hotel however, we were informed that the hotel has been closed to the public for 1 month+. It is now for refugees only. We were not notified of this by Hotel.com or by Best Western. They are still taking bookings from the public. The reception guy was rude and unhelpful. We had to book alternative accommodation on arrival. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. It looks unclean and tacky and is bringing down the name of Best Western. I received a reminder email for my reservation at this hotel from Hotel. com 2 days prior to our trip. They never emailed me to advise that the hotel is now closed because Best Western are receiving government funding to house Ukrainian refugees in this hotel.

I paid for a reservation on 4th February because I am going to see Coldplay in Glasgow on 24th August. I received a refund on 14th July but had no contact from the hotel. I called them and left my contact detail so they could check that I still had the reservation. They called me back 2 days later to tell me that the reservation was cancelled and the hotel was "closed to the public". I have tried booking a different hotel in Glasgow but all hotels seem to be fully booked. Shocking service it's just lucky that I had checked my bank and got in contact with them, I still haven't had an email to say the reservation is cancelled!

Great value for money. 2 days parking cost the same as my share of the room however. The spa and pool were a great addition and I was really impressed with the selection of equipment in the gym. Usually hotels have a running machine and some mats but the professional equipment here was comparable with any pro fitness centre. Bed was comfortable and the bath filled in seconds. I would recommend changing the small pedal bin in the bathroom as they just don’t work (too small and fall over). Good stay and great value. Also the staff were excellent.

Fantastic. OK, the hotel isn't in the prettiest area and our room didn't have the best view but for the price you can't go wrong. We had a normal twin room which was spacious and had all we needed. The staff were all lovely and we made use of the pool and spa the next morning which was lovely and relaxing. Would def recommend

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Paulina in the spa area was fantastic. I came down for a early swim before breakfast and was always greeted with a friendly face and a chat. She made the experience perfect. The pool area and changing rooms were always kept really clean. Would love to return.

Reception area and downstairs is really nice when you walk in. only complaint I have is check out is 11 o'clock but had someone banging on the door at 9.30 housekeeping and then again at 10.30 but apart from we had a great time. Rooms need updated but we're clean

Friendly & helpful staff, especially in the leisure facilities. Well equipped gym. Lovely pool area. Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, everything fresh. Central location, near a busy motorway, but no traffic noise.

Friendly welcome, quick check in and clear directions to our room. Unfortunately there was an issue with our room but this was fairly quickly resolved. Bar meal was good, bar staff pleasant, bar service a bit haphazard. Bit of a mix up at breakfast possibly caused by the room change the previous night but again quickly resolved. Buffet breakfast and although we could see that the food was constantly being topped up it wasn't that hot. Had a bit of a problem with mask wearing (Covid) in that apart from ourselves and another 3 guests no-one else seemed to be wearing one, not even the staff, apart from one of the restaurant team who was using hers to keep her neck warm.

Had a visit for afternoon tea & use of spa facilities. Staff were all lovely, very friendly and accommodating. Afternoon was lovely, scones were warm ! Only making down 1 star as the spa facilities are a bit run down and grubby. Overall I would go back, a wee face lift of the spa area would work wonders !

We had our Regimental AGM on 7th Feb 2022. I parked my car in the hotel designated car park and received the pass code from the Hotel Reception accordingly. I have subsequently received a threatening and offensive letter from Direct Collection Bailiffs for a £170 fine yesterday morning. This is the first correspondence and notification that I have received. I immediately attempted to contact Migel Martin the Events Manager. He was not available. Deane the Receptionist was extremely unhelpful and dismissive. He told me emphatically that it was not their problem and that I should contact the Bailiffs direct. This situation has occurred on a few occasion before with members of our Association and reported on. Clearly not very happy or amused by the attitude or response from the Hotel staff or their administration. Extremely poor service and dreadful customer relations

Booked an apartment and upgraded it to a superior on the promise of a good view from Booking.com....the view was of a concrete building! Not worth the extra 35 pound per night... The room itself was really nice and comfortable...but considering there was a small kitchen in the apartmwnt, there wasn't.any cutlery or crockery so pretty pointless....I raised this with the staff and I wasn't impressed with contradictory answers. The spa was OK and clean but the steam room was out of order and the sauna wasn't working properly....not great to be honest. The water was warm though. I raised these issues at reception when checking out and received a.shrug of the shoulders.... Oh well, we had a great night in Glasgow anyway.... Mixed bag overall! Loved the room....despite the lack of promised view...but service and facilities let the hotel down.

I am only giving my review based on swimming pool gym, sauna and steam room facilities as I haven’t had a chance to stay at the hotel in itself. The temperature of the jacuzzi was a bit off as there was maintenance issues. No shampoo or conditioner provided, only some shower gel. Both of the hair dryers were broken too. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. They also give you a towel for free. I visited these facilities on Friday afternoon. During my time, there were some water activities taking place. The instructor and the kids were quite load so the atmosphere wasn’t quite relaxing. Although if you are a parent, this might be perfect for you! I booked this experience as a “day pass”. If you pay there directly, it’s £10 but if you book through a website called “hussle” it’s £9.

Booked August 2022 for June 2023 stay. Less than 8 weeks to go BW suddenly cancel the booking, no help or compensation to find a new hotel and no proper explanation. Everywhere now almost double the price. Note BW take NO RESPONSIBILITY for anything. They’re just an agent for the hotel. Armed with this knowledge, I will never again book a BW.

👍👍 An excellent experience at Miller and Carter tonight. The food came out quickly and was so incredibly delicious - the steak was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping sauce was to die for! All steaks come with house fries they can up upgraded to chunky chips or sweet potato fried but we honestly...
