We had a most lovely stay at Albion! We were well taken care of by Marlene, who greeted us with such kindness, and cooked up a delicious Scottish breakfast! The room was very clean, modern, and spacious with a coffee maker and snacks. The location was perfect - walking distance to lots of great cafes and pubs, parks, and public transit too! We will definitely plan another trip to Glasgow and look forward to calling Albion hotel our home away from home soon! Bonus points for being lgbtq friendly! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Marlene!!!

I booked directly with the Albion Hotel and got an excellent rate for a single room with private bath. I was quite happy with the room as it was very clean and updated with a very nice bathroom w/shower and good storage areas for toiletries and it's own radiator. The room also had a small kettle and hair dryer. I could also open my window for airflow and control the heat from the radiators in the room and bath. The only downside was the pillows which were hard foam. If you have a need for fluffy pillows, then you will want to bring your own. The staff are very helpful and friendly and this made me feel safe as a solo traveller. Also the no. 6 night bus stops just one block away and the KelvinBridge subway stop is only a one minute walk away. And there are plenty of places to get food (restaurants and groceries) within a half mile. I will definitely stay there again.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Was made to feel very welcome and was provided with early check-in as I had to be away for an early afternoon function. Room was clean and freaky decorated but for me the shower was just a bit too small. It was a single room so maybe that's why. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and plenty of it! Location was perfect in the lively West End of Glasgow. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel. Great location close to Kelvin River, shops, transport link. Clean and modern. Staff excellent and very helpful. High standards throughout. Comfy bed. This was our third visit and we will return. Cons: Water in tap took a while to get warm. No fresh fruit at breakfast.

This is our 2nd visit here and it won't be the last - now our hotel of choice when visiting Glasgow. Fantastic location, just off the Great Western Road and very close to the Kelvinbridge subway. It is located in a very quiet street opposite the river. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable - the rooms are spacious and warm and the beds very comfy. We've never had such a warm, inviting and friendly welcome as that from Diane, who was front of house this time. We met Marlene the last time and were greeted the same - these ladies are just terrific! Excellent value for money, our stay included a full breakfast of our choice which was cooked to perfection by both Isaac and Diane. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Had a great stay at Albion Hotel. Diane at the front desk was very kind and extremely helpful. She made sure I had a lovely stay. Bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure and temperature was perfect. I will definitely be back again. Great value.

Staff are nice and the location is excellent but my room smelled of damp the entire time and my allergies (to mould spores caused by humidity) flared up straight away then stayed that way. As the heating was barely on the room didn't get much drier and my clothes never really dried from the rain either. Walls are paper thin too so hard getting a good night of sleep. Not uncommon problems for these older buildings in Glasgow if they haven't been properly insulated but I'd expect a hotel to be... You could definitely do a lot worse considering the price for the location but if you can afford a better option it's probably worth it

We stayed in several places along our journey through the UK but Albion Hotel was by far our favorite. Rooms were kept clean and the staff was very friendly. The location was great, close to many restaurant options, easy walking distance to the Botanical Gardens, Kelvingrove Museum, and many other lovely places to visit. The subway was very close as were bus stops. Absolutely will stay here again when we visit Glasgow again.

A wonderful hotel! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet. The room was large with plenty of room for luggage for our three people. Beds were comfortable. We did not eat breakfast, but it smelled delicious. Parking can be challenging if you have a car. Street parking is not free during the day and space is limited because the hotel is on a dead end street. However, the staff is happy to suggest parking. I would definitely stay again.

A wonderfully comfortable stay as I visited Glasgow on a mini staycation, loved having my own bathroom, room was a good size and not cramped, bed was comfortable, and the hosts were lovely! A quiet location about 30 to 40 minutes walk from the city centre. Wonderful breakfast included each morning.

Great place to stay and not too expensive either. Great staff and service too. Only slight downside was room service opening our room doors every morning, as there was no "do not disturb" signs to hang... But they still shouldn't have used their keys to open our door every morning. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Excellent place to stay in Glasgow. Very clean rooms and bathroom. We stayed in several hotels during out trip in Scotland and this was one of the best stays we had in terms of comfort and cleanliness. Combined with great location and reasonable price it is hard to beat. There are lots of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance not to mention subway station very close by. Kelvingrove Park is only a few minutes walk away which connects to at least 2 great museums if one is willing to take a 20min stroll. We like to walk so it really doesn’t bother us.

I really loved staying here. Staff is friendly. The location is safe, close to the subway, and has lots of restaurants around the area. It's a B&B style. The room was the perfect size for me as I didn't spend much time there. But I have seen review that they are small. Be mindful of the last check-in time. I was not aware of it and came about 5 mins after. Greatful for the lady who was still there. The only downside is that I was not able to control my own heating. But I was given an extra blanket. It's a very small inconvenience. I will most definitely be back.

We loved the Albion hotel. The price and location were perfect. The triple room was a great size we did not feel to crammed at all. The shower had great pressure. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, we loved their front door safety policy and it was very clean. We chose to add breakfast one day and we’re not disappointed. We had worker Diane for most of our trip and she was so lovely giving us daily recommendations and tips and asking how our day was they really make you feel at home. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel in an absolutely perfect location. We had a room facing the street on the first floor, which initially seemed less-than-ideal, but it was actually very quiet and we didn't have any issues with noise for the 2 nights we stayed. The staff were all lovely and super helpful, and the location cannot be beat. It felt safe, was nearby awesome restaurants, near some beautiful river-paths, and we walked to the Botanic Gardens and the Kelvingrove Museum from the hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our Scotland trip and at a different hotel in the city center for the last night in Glasgow before returning home. I regretted not booking at the Albion for the last part of the trip, but oh well. I know for next time to stick with the Albion because it was absolutely perfect for all our needs.

Comfortable, clean & well-maintained, nicely decorated and in a very good location near transport, shops, restaurants & bars. Close to the University, easy to get to the Kelvingrove and West End. Staff were very friendly & helpful and the breakfast was delicious. I've stayed twice and each time the Albion has been a major positive aspect of the trip.

Awesome location near parks, groceries, the botanical garden, and restaurants. The room was spotless and comfortable, and Diane (our hostess) made sure we had everything we needed. Great value for such comfortable accommodations.

Nice little hotel in a great location, walking distance to parks, botanical gardens and plenty of cafes and shopping. Good value for price with hearty breakfast included. Marlene is very kind and helpful, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Albion Hotel is a VERY nice little hotel with everything you need to enjoy the west end of Glasgow. Walking distance to subway, great coffee shops, and great restaurants. We stay there for almost a week to drop our son to University (Of Glasgow) and we had a very nice time due its perfect location, very clean and spacious rooms, but most of all, because their friendly & very helpful staff! Thanks again to the staff for all your attentions and kindness!

Our biggest problem in UK was to find an accommodation for 3 persons with "normal" beds. Standard in UK are "kings beds" or "queens beds" which are too small in comparison to what we are used for. Our standard for 2 persons is 2m x 2m bed. ;) Also in UK there is a deviation to use just one duvet for 2 persons. In Albion Hotel we didn't suffer with any of mentioned problems. We had 3 standard beds with 3 duvets and 9 pillows (3 per bed). Hotel is situated near (approx 5 min walk) the underground (subway) station "Kelvin Bridge" in a quiet location. We have used is as a base for our walks in Glasgow but also for traveling to Stirling and Edinburgh. We enjoyed the stay there.

This is a simple, but comfortable, clean, and modern hotel just off Great Western Road with great links to transportation (subway) and walkable everywhere in the West End. The staff is lovely and helpful, and the breakfast is nice. The room I had was a small double, with a comfortable bed and great shower. Very honest budget hotel. I'd stay again!

Warm Glaswegian welcome. Spotless and stylish accommodation. Comfortable bed. Lovely hot shower. Excellent price/quality ratio. Quiet cul de sac. Perfect location to explore West End on foot. 2 minutes from a subway. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely week!

Very comfortable and clean room located in one of the most vibrant areas of Glasgow. We were impressed with the friendly service, quiet, restful nights due to the hotel layout and facilities provided - the bathroom mirror in particular was perfect for applying makeup and getting ready for an event.

Ideally located in a nice area. Lady on reception was very friendly and helpful, suggesting a really good Indian restaurant for dinner. Rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Would certainly recommend.

I was over in Glasgow visiting family with friends and wanted a comfortable, quiet, well located place to stay. The Albion hotel didn't meet my expectations , it exceeded them. From the moment I arrived , Marlene on reception was nothing short of friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was spacious, spotless and had everything needed for a great stay. You are just a stones throwaway from the subway so getting to the city centre was easy , but so many great places to eat in the west end I was happy to stay put. Breakfast each morning was piping hot and delicious. Thank you to all, I'll be back!

Very welcoming, Diane on reception was very helpful, and the room was comfortable. The guys staying in the room next door on the first night were a bit noisy, but that wasn't the Albion's fault! The second night was beautifully peaceful.

Lovely hotel run by friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent for restaurants and shops. Our room was clean and had all we needed. We found it to be great value for the location and offering.

Pros: 1.Great service and hospitable staff. 2.Great location specially if you are in Glasgow mainly for being around the Glasgow university. 3.Clean rooms and hallways. feels quite cosy and nice Cons: Disappointment in terms of booking. There was nothing bad in terms of service and room's cleanness. The room that was advertised looked quite bigger and different in the pictures than the one we received. I just had higher expectations in terms of room size and space seeing the pictures that made the actual room feel like a scam. Like, If you see a fire place and couches and coffee tables in the pictures you also naturally expect to see them in the room.

Was over for a short stay to bring my girls to a concert. The lady in charge was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was better than I thought it would be, the location was peaceful with a beautiful park, lovely little shops and restaurants nearby. It was easy to access from the city centre. Room was warm, bright and clean. Slept really well. Cooked breakfast was very tasty. Would definitely come back

You cannot beat a stay at the Albion Hotel for price/quality ratio in the West End of Glasgow. On top of that, Diane on front desk is the friendliest and most welcoming person you could hope to meet. See you again in November!

Lovely hotel with reasonable sized, comfortable rooms in a quiet street very accessible to the West end, museum, and botanic gardens. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here again.

Warm welcome, friendly, and helpful. The location was ideal for the event I was attending. Hotel location 2-3 minutes walk from the subway on Great Western Road. The room was clean with ample power points and 2 USB points. Comfortable bed, I had a lovely nights sleep. Complementary tea/coffee tray and great power shower. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast, there was ample selection of hot and cold. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will be returning. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent place to stay for a short weekend away - we came from Norfolk for a gig and decided to make a weekend of it. Room was clean, staff friendly and located very close to the subway which was £4.30 for all day travel and 6 minutes from the city centre. If we ever find ourselves back in Glasgow, we would stay again :)
