This hotel might not look much from the outside but inside it’s lovely. The staff are friendly, especially the Bistro staff. The bedroom was a decent size, and was nice to have a bath as well as a shower. Beds were comfy and all you can eat buffet breakfast was nice. On our last night the room above us decided to overflow their bath, which worked its way through the floor and down the one wall of our room. Staff were very quick to stop the water from the room above after a quick call down to reception. The only reason for not giving this hotel full stars is the leisure suite. On the first evening of our stay we used the swimming pool. It was very busy and even though there are clear signs saying no jumping or diving into the pool, parents still let their children do so. It made what should have been a relaxing experience horrible. I don’t enjoyed constantly being splashed. Staff didn’t monitor this either which is a shame.

Been working on the road for over 2 years this has been by far the best hotel I have stayed at. I usually stay at Hilton's if I can and this one has been a cut above. Great location, right in the centre of town. Parking underneath the hotel which saves a lot of hassle with finding car parks etc. Rooms are lovely and the walk in shower is a welcome addition, no shower curtain in sight! Very spacious room, really comfortable and for the size of the hotel it's pretty quiet you don't hear much from other guests. My favourite thing about this hotel is the bar. Very inviting and a really nice place to sit and catch on emails or watch the football or a beer. Gets you out of the room which can be hard to do when you're working on the road. Back again next week and looking forward to it.

Only stayed for one night. Our room was large and comfortable and had everything we needed. The shower was great. We didn't eat in so can't comment on the service or food but we stayed for a couple of drinks before setting off to see a show and I have to say the prices were really high. No breakfast in the morning as we went local instead. All in all a good stay if I'm being honest.

Stayed for work. Quiet room, comfy bed. Room a bit tired, the paintwork needed attention. The leisure facilities were good and I used the gym and pool both of which were great. Didn't eat or drink there but enjoyed a brew in bed and the arrival cookie was a nice touch.

Attended a conference here. Beautiful hotel, very comfortable and spacious with attentive staff creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Nice lobby with plenty of seating and a nice bar next to. The event was well run and the food served which was supplied by the hotel was first class especially bearing in mind there were 330+ attendees with event staff added on top of that. Location is central close to shopping district

Nice and very clean rooms but bathroom needs update. Very good and copious breakfast. Parking unfortunately is extra charge.

We stayed in king size room. Had two chairs and desk. Some hallway noise but not too bad. Shower had nice pressure and hot water. Breakfast was buffet. Dinner at restaurant was great with live music on Friday. We also used laundry service for wash and fold and got it back same day in afternoon.

Awesome location, walking distance to sights, shopping, Queen railway station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Executive lounge had tasty treats and a good selection of beverages. Very light breakfast so I chose to eat at the breakfast buffet. Buffet was quite good but would have preferred some more vegetarian and vegan options.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here this afternoon. All staff were extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. Thanks also for accommodating us when we asked for a quiet table. Food was lovely. Would recommend and return.

Rooms could do with an update and breakfast was quite messy both days - also very busy. Overall good service in the hotel and location is really good, short walk from the heart of the city and a lot is reachability by foot.

All admiratations to reception staff as they were always so helpful and courteous. The hotel made those really extra efforts and resolved the issue. There is a lovely warm feeling as you enter in the vast ambience of foyer. Highly recommend who are visiting Glasgow in any season. Three cheers to Double Tree Hilt 116

The 4-star hotel exceeded expectations with its luxurious amenities. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and offered stunning views. The staff provided exceptional service, catering to every need with a smile. From the inviting pool to the top-notch dining options, the hotel offered a memorable stay for a perfect getaway.

Standard room. Pillows are too soft and bed isn’t soft at all. Good location. The staff is great. The only thing that was weird was we went to use the pool and was told we had to make a reservation. A reservation for something we are already paying for and and now can’t use unless it’s on their time line.

Double Tree Glasgow Central. Very warm welcome from the reception manager (sadly can’t remember his name) nothing too much trouble and very helpful. Check in was quick and easy, best front of house I’ve ever experienced. Rooms are big, modern and clean. Bar is nice, reasonably priced and good atmosphere. Breakfast had plenty of options and was tasty. Great stay - thank you!

Attended the Your Scottish Wedding Awards. The check in was a breeze, staff were very nice, rooms were great, the water was hot although it has taken a long time for it to turn warm at the sink in the evening. Beds were comfortable, the duvet felt quite thin though but I did not bother to look for an extra blanket or anything (just a personal preference). Breakfast was very nice. All in all 10 out of 10 I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

Stayed for 2 nights, great location and clean rooms. First night horrible experience as a Christmas party was going on downstairs and it was very loud until late like a nightclub. Let the hotel know about the issue and they moved us to a room much higher up when there was another party the next night. Dealt with the issue for us happily so overall happy with the stay.

We had been there for coffee and food last week. The food was good apart from the sandwiches which was a bit over dried. The staff were really friendly and professional and one of the bar staffs called Ryan(or so) was so friendly and recommended us haggis balls which was really good.. we really appreciate it and firmly recommend it.

Very pleased with our stay. The room was unbelievable clean and the bathroom was shining. Breakfast was great but the staff the previous night were pushed. Only gripe was for a upgrade of suite I would have expected a fridge and the air con had obviously been turned off, but we would definitely stay again.

Excellent location. Right smack in the city. Rooms are large and spacious. Staffs are friendly an professional and willing to help. I would say this hotel will be the best choice in Glasgow.

Pretty comfy beds, love the check in cookies. Bathroom and bedroom very clean and amenities were great too. Awful room service pricing. Ordered 2 beer bottles and a small glass of wine and got charged £23, of which was £5 for a tray charge? Avoid room service, you know it’s a rip off if Deliveroo would charge you less to get something delivered from a nearby restaurant.

We loved this hotel and its rooms. Our family was in Glasgow as a hub to explore some of the surrounding area. It was also very convenient with walking distance to groceries, pharmacy, and shopping. We also had breakfast everyday and it had a good variety for us to find something different over the several days that we were there. The best part for our kids was the pool, but be sure to reserve a time slot since it can fill up in the summertime. The car park was £12 per night, but easy to navigate. I also appreciated the laundry service of £15 for the provided bag!

Booked the King Bedroom with Lounge Suite for my wedding and it was perfect. Plenty of room, seating & mirrors for my party of 8 getting ready together with two make-up artists and a photographer kicking about. Reception staff were excellent, ordered us taxis to get to the venue and communication via email when enquiring about using the hotel for the wedding was prompt and helpful. Thank you so much for the perfect start to my wedding day.

Enjoyed a two night stay, room was a good size and really clean. Enjoyed breakfast both days. Did not have time for the pool and gym but looked to be of a good standard. Better information regarding food options of an evening and we may of dined here instead of going out.

Stayed for 10+ days. Positives, central and easy access to bars and parties. Cons close to bars and parties, can be loud at night. Would stay again for vacation, would not stay again for work. Breakfast is good, easy access to transportation and has its own parking.

  • 4/5 Steven A. 2 years ago on Google
Great start with an early check in. Standard double room was very clean and of a decent size. Pool area was good and was also kept clean. Bar area was heaving due to an afternoon/evening function. Breakfast was very good with an excellent selection of hot and cold breakfast options. We went at 8.30am and we're glad we did as it was very busy from around 9am onwards. Overall a good place for an overnight stay.

Stayed here for 3 weeks on a recent business trip. Hotel was clean and tidy albeit room could have done with a bit of maintenance and a tidy up. Staff were great and very attentive. Food was what you’d expect in a hotel, nothing special but not bad either. The location of this hotel is great, a short walk into the city centre for all the bars, restaurants and shops.

  • 4/5 Mark B. 2 years ago on Google
Staff are incredible, so helpful and enthusiastic. Room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping was a let down as they only attend to your room if you stay over four days, but we made do. Pool is great, gym was very well equipped, breakfast was standard fair, but very well presented.

  • 4/5 William H. 1 year ago on Google
Hosted the UofG engineers ball. Food was enjoyable. However, drinks were massively overpriced but it is a hotel, so that is kind of expensive. Staff were attentive and polite. I cannot speak for the rooms part of the hotel, but from what I saw of the lobby and the events room, it was clean and tidy.

Excellent hotel/venue. Location totally central in Glasgow. Staff trained to a very high standard. Rooms pleasant and very clean. Facilities extremely good. This hotel is wonderful value for money

My sister and I stayed here 2 nights visiting from America. Enjoyed our stay overall. Staff and service was excellent. We appreciated Mr Liam at the front dest who handled our requests with patience. Staff brought us a fan upon request as the room was stuffy. They have a great breakfast buffet in the morning. Everything was delicious. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good. Exercise and Recreation facilities are fabulous. A heated pool to swim laps in and a fully equipped gym. Suggestion...they need wash cloths. A clock in the room would also be nice. Allowing guests to send outgoing posts would be nice too.

Booked a reward room, king-size bed without breakfast therefore cannot comment on food, however the room was excellent. Very spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable and there was no noise during the night which I've experienced in other hotels. Location is perfect for all the city centre amenities.

Great location. Good, cosy room with all facilities. Unfortunately room is not soundproofed and noisy at night time. Woke me up all two nights we were staying there. Parking is the issue on Saturday, if you come late its impossible to find a parking slot even though you paid for it.

  • 5/5 William W. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed 4 nights. Good older hotel in a great Central City location, which had a solid build (walls, furniture, furnishings, appliances, etc). It was very quiet, insulated, and very comfortable. Outstanding, fast and friendly service (front desk), as well as in the restaurants, cleaning, etc. All aspects really. We would easily choose this spot again, should we some day get to return to Glasgow.

Our group of over 30 seniors from Canada booked a stay here on Sept 24 2022 for 2 days as part of our tour of Scotland & Ireland. We were all booked on the first floor. There was an event on the ground floor for a wedding. By 10:00pm, the sound from the bass of the DJ was so loud that we were feeling the sound into our guts and heads and even through the pillows on the bed. We called the reception and the manager Glyen Evans to ask the DJ to tone it down so we could sleep. He did so, but the sound volume came right back up. Mr. Evans told us at first that the event would be over by 11:00. Then we were told that it would go on until 1:00 am. We had to call him again and ask him to do his job as manager and inform the DJ again to lower the volume. He refused to go and ask the DJ again, failing his duty as manager. If you want a good night of sleep, I definitely recommend that you not stay at this hotel. The management is weak and does not consider the well being of paying customers who simply want a good and peaceful night of sleep

The room was very nice, it was spacious and great. So was the lounge, a very nice and quiet space. That can not be said for the restaurant though, our dinner could be described as atrocious. The food was disgusting, the burger cheese and bun were lacking. And the service, they took our plates without when we haven't finished yet, the burger was in my hand and my plate was taken. They also gave our deserts whilst we were eating our main! It wasn't like the restaurant was closing soon either! Onto the facilities, the pool was small but nice, so was the sauna and steam room though, horrendously small they were, probably only 3-4 people could fit in those. Would probably not recommend to come back.

Nice and clean rooms overall. Great customer service and location. Nice and friendly staff in restaurant. Big thumbs up for staff doing the Executive lounge. Very nice and helpfull. Our favourite hotel to stay with kids now. Only the gym is a bit outdated. But can live with that.

Quite impressed with this hotel. The rooms are quite small, but the team who run this are very, very good. housekeeping to f&b (breakfast is really good) and Exec Lounge were excellent, Front desk also sorted my issue out with the incorrect room . Great location to run along the canal and jump on the subway too.

We were here for an awards ceremony. Lovely hotel, banqueting room was beautiful, but disappointed in the food. The choice was beef or vegetarian. The majority of the table got beef & said it was quite tough & not very warm. 2 of us got a vegetarian wellington. It was awful... soggy pastry & a mush of veg. Very disappointed in the meal after paying a lot of money for it. Hilton you need to do better, food let you down badly.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and it’s always impressed me from check in to check out it’s always pleasure. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by smiles from reception however the girl did not acknowledge my loyalty as a Diamond member but I was however treated to an upgrade to a suite. However this time I have had some minor issues. Room 619 is an amazing suite but to only had 1 bin in the whole two room layout. Also an inconvenience was that there was no pen or pad in the room which made it difficult to fill the laundry form in. Also at the side of the bed was a dirty sock from one of the previous guests but again very minor. Breakfast was plentiful with full cooked and continental options available, but on two of the mornings the desk at the restaurant was unmanned and staff were just loitering and talking before they decided to seat us. Upon seating us on 6/3/23 we were sat next to a few of the coach party members and the profanities coming from their mouths was disgusting which just dampened the morning atmosphere to which staff did nothing about. In the end I had to ask the guests to tone it down as it’s not acceptable when women and children are seated in close proximity. The exec lounge is great Raymond and Connor were very attentive and again the choice was great even had some decent spirits on offer and the canapés were delightful. The restaurant again had plenty of choices but what I love about it here is how intimate it actually is and is perfect for any occasion. The health club is standard but has no spa facilities for massages etc but it’s perfect for an early morning swim or even a fairly late one to de-stress before retiring for the evening. An all round good 4.5 had the minor things not of happened then it would have been a perfect 5 from me. But that will not deter me from coming back.

  • 5/5 Sarah Louise C. 11 months ago on Google
Firstly, all the staff were so welcoming, polite and friendly. From the entrance to the room everywhere was emaculate and fresh. My room was lovely and the beds are extra comfy! The Executive room with lounge access is definitely worth paying for. The only negative thing I would say is you wait a while to be served at the bar. Breakfast buffet was fab too! Would definitely stay again :)
