Booked a private room with private bath. Everything met our expectations, noting that this is a hostel and not a hotel. Linens/pillows, towels provided. Management was kind enough to allow us to store our bags here PRIOR to our stay. We hiked a few days of the West Highland Way and did not need our luggage. We took day packs and stored our luggage for 2pounds per bag/day and when we returned to Glasgow our bags were waiting for us at our lodging. Very cool. Early check-in is available for a modest 5pounds per person and allows 11am check in, rather than 2pm. I was later downstairs at 2pm and the line to check-in was ridiculous, no joke, about 20 people in line with bags all checking in at the same time. Maybe everyone arrived on the same train/bus? I appreciated the early check in even more so after seeing that queue. My wife and I felt safe walking around in the area, along the river and also north towards the shopping/restaurant district. Overall a good stay and value for Glasgow Central train station.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We arrived a few hours early so dropped our bags off in the storage room (£1 per bag) and came back for check in. We had a private double room with a private bathroom. It was all clean and a bit bigger than expected, the bed was comfy which was the main thing! There's a lot of well priced facilities in the hostel (dinner, breakfast, drinks) which we didn't get around to using as we were out and about most of the time but there's a lot it has to offer.

Pros: -Central location -Really cheap -Staff I spoke to were quite polite Cons: -half the fixtures in the dorm room were broken -bunk bed was claustrophobic and the bottom sheet was dirty -room was freezing cold, wanted to sit in bed for a while and research things to do and I had to keep my jumper on and get under the covers -All the floors were filthy, especially in the bathroom -Dodgy people hanging around inside and outside the building, didn't even feel safe leaving my backpack in the room I'd strongly recommend avoiding the place at all costs. Feels more like a homeless shelter that they trick tourists into paying for. Didn't even bother staying the night, packed up my stuff after an hour and went somewhere else. Wasn't offered any kind of refund.

Ideal for a flying visit. Be aware that you must make your own bed, which occurs in many hostels, but I did have an initial shock when I seen a grubby sheet on the bed, only to realise it was mattress protector and the fresh sheet was supplied (along with duvet pillows and towels) for you to make your own bed. Comfortable beds. It was an acceptable choice for an overnight theatre stay in Glasgow with friends. The staff at reception and in the bar are all really pleasant. I'd recommend the euro hostel for a convenient and hassle free, basic stay. The hostel is location wise, an excellent accommodation choice. Good time had by great friends. Thanks staff @ Euro hostel.

Had low expectations of this as a budget hotel but wow, super dirty double room. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. Shower full of hair. Really rank experience.

Fantastic stay. Location is superb, central to the whole city landmarks. It’s only minutes walking to any place you want. Lies in the heart of the city and the shopping area. Cleanliness is great. Rooms are spacious and well organized. Staff is helpful and showing good attitude. Kitchen is well-equipped. I really loved the place and enjoyed my stay there.

staff was really friendly, was easy to find the property and was nice that it was close to the river. 24/7 service. it is a hostel so I expected it to be basic but the cleaning standards still should be high standards no matter what hotel it is and it just wasn't. Sanitary bins in our room was full absolutely disgusting smelled awful, shower clearly wasn't cleaned either had public hairs at the bottom of it. Bed was as hard as rocks. Walls very thin.

I was in a 4 beds woman only room. My bed was comfortable. The room was big with a tv and a desk. Big common room. Location was good: Now to what I did not enjoy: The shower and the toilet in my room had no lock so anybody could of walked in at any minutes. The shower had no pressure, it was hard to wash of the soap… no way i could of wash my hair. The lockers only locked if you have one of the big locks. The kitchen only had 1 microwave for 9 floors…. So be prepared to wait for your lunch to heat up. Also room was bit the cleanest. There was dust everywhere. Overall, it was fine for a few nights because it was cheap (30$ a night) so if you have a small budget like me, i would recommend

Good price for what it was. Had a private room that had all the basic necessities. Wasn't too loud and was quite spacious for a hostel. The layout made it hard to meet other travelers. The location was great for walking to everything and is a quick walk to the subway. Staff were also helpful in giving us tips on what to do in the city.

Good price for a double room with private bathroom. Good location close to the train station and city center too. However, the mattress was rock hard, the light in the bathroom turned off every two minutes while I was in the shower, and sound from the corridor outside was very loud. Didn't sleep very well.

At 22 for a Friday Night I would say is good value for city centre and river views. The rooms are nice with good charging points with toilets and a shower both serrated as well as a washing basin outside in the room. Only think is thing I didn't like was all the details I had go give and the fact they asked for passport as for one there is no need for passport and passport number. I think they run them through police data base. Anyways all this makes you more likely to lose a valuable document plus you shouldn't have to carry papers everywhere as well as it making the ques long.

The hostel is clean enough but we stayed two nights in two different rooms and be prepared for the lottery ! Depending on your floor and whether you’re close to the street, you will not have the same experience… One was quiet and modern, the other was (very) noisy. Good point : close to the lain bus and train station

Decent hostel, good price with basic rooms. I only stayed for one night and had booked an 8 bed mixed dorm. When I got there the woman at the reception desk upgraded me to a 4 bed women-only room, which was great. Bathrooms were clean.

The attention of the reception staff was exceptional; friendly and always willing to help. However, I did notice that the cleanliness of the rooms could be improved to ensure a more pleasant experience. Very central and close to important services and bus stops.

Rooms: I stayed in two separate 4-bed dorms and they were clean, well provisioned, towels and shower gel included. No lockers in either room (apparently they're being changed out for new ones across the building), but staff were very helpful storing my bag in a dedicated luggage storage room downstairs. The hostel was full in terms of bookings but you wouldn't know it - it wasn't heaving or loud, very peaceful actually. Service: quick, friendly, efficient, with a smile - can't ask for more in a busy hostel! Location: very central, right by St Enoch subway and a short walk from either of the main stations. Not a 5* hotel, but as hostels go, a wonderful experience and one I'll happily stay in again.

The worst hotel experience of my life! Everything's dirty, you can't touch anything. We had to disinfect the bathroom when we arrived, and there was hardly any toilet paper left. The toilets don't have lids. There is no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, which means that the bathroom is constantly flooded, with water running right up to the front door. Cleaning is never done. The cleaner comes every day to empty the garbage can, but in five days he has never picked up the dirty, wet towels (due to flooding) from the floor. Unpleasant staff. But above all they are dishonest. They charged us for smoking in the room, which is impossible because we are not smokers. They said they found ashes on the window sills. It’s unbelievable that they charge customers because their cleaning isn't done. What kind of hotel is this? Probably it is a scam to get money. So be careful, because your room will be dirty, and chances are you'll be charged for it. Avoid this hotel unless you want to be scammed or catch a disease.

Given this is a hostel, I thought the accommodation was excellent. Even the kitchen (normally the dirtiest place of any hostel) was in decent condition. The location is of course the main selling point as you are only a five minute walk away from the main Glasgow station, and all the usual shops. There is a bit of street noise from inside the rooms, but this is not excessive. Most of the noise comes from other guests returning back to their rooms quite late.

It's cheap and it's in a good location. The private rooms are fine based on the one time I've stayed in one. The dorms are not great. The bunks are small, noisy and uncomfortable. You'd be better off in a tent. There aren't as many lockers as beds, which doesn't matter because they don't lock unless you have the exact size of padlock they're selling in reception. Surfaces are dirty and the bathroom fittings were all broken.

Friendly service at the front desk, 24hrs so can come and go as you please. I shared a 4 bed with other women who were nice enough and we trusted each other with our belongings. Mattress was surpringly comfortable and I sleep okay. The bathroom and sink areas could do with an update however. Having the sink and toilet separated makes no sense to me has it allows more germs to spread. Also means when someone is brushing their teeth etc at the sink it's right there in the room and not behind a door. Saying that, great value for just needing a place to sleep overnight when solo travelling.

The place has been refurbished since my last stay. It now looks more like a hostel and not the old student halls of residence it once was. Sound proofing between rooms is pretty poor. The room was dusty with lots of dark dust on the curtains which happen to be above the bed. When I closed the curtains this disturbed the dust. There was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. This was from the last occupants as I booked a private room. WiFi speed was great. I didn't have breakfast but it looked nice from what I saw when I passed the breakfast area.

This is the first hotel I've ever stayed in that doesn't provide tea and coffee in the rooms. I have stayed in cheaper hotels which have provided much more. On a positive note though great view from the 8th floor bedroom window, room was clean and well kept and comfy beds. I also like the charging point and night light on the wall next to my top bunk! Helpful and friendly staff too! 😁😎

This place was great it’s basic but for the price you can’t get much better. People who complain at this price level and expect the Four seasons should go there. I was able to check in early Matthew at reception was lovely. The wifi is a bit weak in the upper levels but it works good enough. They do have a bar restaurant downstairs. I left my $150 wireless headphones there and didn’t remember until late at night I went back and Matthew had them at the counter. Thank overall you can’t beat the price and location. I definitely would stay here again when in Glasgow.

Excellent! Highly recommend it! Friendly and warm staff, very clean, perfect location, very good price. Despite paying for a single room, they offered me a huge spacious room with my own toilet and bathroom. Only small issue was the soundproof of the rooms, but it's really something that you overlook it if you consider its decent price. Thank you so much!

Euro Hostel Glasgow is located in a decent area that is easy to find. However, the experience with the hostel was disappointing. The staff were okay, not too friendly nor aggressive, but the cleanliness could have been better. The bed linen provided was thin and the toilet and soap in the bath were all substandard. One of the major issues faced was the noise level, which was high throughout the night, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Furthermore, the front gate was often left open, and people were smoking right in front of the no-smoking sign, causing discomfort for non-smokers. Another issue was the lack of amenities. There were not enough facilities available for guests to use, and the ones that were available were often in poor condition. This included the bathroom facilities, which were not well-maintained and often dirty. Overall, Euro Hostel Glasgow falls short of expectations. The hostel needs to work on improving the cleanliness of the rooms, providing better amenities and maintaining a quieter environment for its guests.

I stayed in the private "suite". The room and bathroom had not been deeply cleaned in weeks - floors especially were very dirty around the edges. Staff is friendly, but I informed them of the issues during my stay, and they told me it would be fixed during the day. When I came back, nothing had been done. I understand this is a hostel, but when I stay in the private room I expect everything to be cleaned properly between guests. Other issues: Room was incredibly cold, and I had to turn on the radiator when I arrived to be able to stay in the room without my coat on. The bathroom stayed ice cold the entire stay. The lights in the ceiling were uncomfortably blinding, and I tried to keep them off most of the stay. The good bits: Location is nice, staff was friendly, the room was isolated from other parts of the hostel so low noise levels. Towels were included, bed was made. In conclusion: You have the opportunity to improve this hostel by making just basic adjustments - I see other people mentioning the hostel being dirty. One should be able to expect at minimum a clean space. Dirty private rooms are inexcusable - 1 star.

Pros: • It’s clean. • They give you a towel to use for free (most places charge). • The bathrooms and showers are inside the rooms and they’re clean. • Not too far from train station and bus stops. Cons: • No hook for jacket. Overall, I’d absolutely stay there again.

It’s a fair hostel. I’d say good enough for the price you pay. Nonetheless, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Bedsheets were clean. There was an issue with the bathroom which they solved immediately. I had forgotten to bring a lock and they had some for sale available. I didn’t like metallic lockers under the beds which can be quite loud. Usually people weren’t careful or didn’t care whether they were being noisy or not while others were sleeping.

Very affordable with many room options. Shared and single or something somewhat executive. Staff are nice and friendly plus the breakfast is just 5bucks!!😂 There is also a bar on the ground floor with storage space for boxes. You can get rooms for as cheap as 20bucks.

The best place for me (us) to stay in Glasgow! Rooms are exactly what you really need and breakfast is perfect. The pub is very good too before you go up to rest. Very friendly and helpful personnel.

Handy location and room was spotless. Had arrived earlier than check in and left our bags (£1) per bag. Which was fine with us. Came back at 5 minutes to check it but weren't allowed to start the check in process. Because we had to wait the 5 minutes it became busy with everyone else checking in and we ended up not able to get out room keys til quarter passed. I wouldn't normally comment on this as I manage a holiday park and know the difference 5 minutes can make but I feel like if we had started the check in process when we first come in it would have been a much smother process. Everything else about the stay was perfect. Could not fault! Thank you.

The location of the hostel is fabulous, plenty of shops etc nearby in city of Glasgow. Good transport links !! The staff are welcoming which is good 🙂. The only snag I have was the Breakfast, I wasn't keen on it I'm afraid. There were some rude customers in there at Breakfast too, not the hostel fault obviously but dont let the rude people bother you. When I'm staying again in September, ill probably have a Gregg's Breakfast instead - But the rest of hotel i:e rooms were fabulous 🙂

Had a great stay. The girl I spoke to was super helpful! I lost my ID and Bank Card and the girl that spoke to me (sorry I can’t remember her name) but she helped me figure it all out and eventually I was able to get a room. So grateful as without this place I would’ve been screwed. Also, the other people staying here were so nice! Highly recommend

I've stayed at the Glasgow Euro Hostel a few times, it's the perfect hotel for when I'm at a gig at the O2. Check in is really easy and the staff are friendly. The rooms I've stayed in have always had comfy beds and they've been spotlessly clean with plenty of towels. The bar is great, really good drinks selection at great prices. Food is great too, I had food at night then breakfast the next day. Its a buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. I'll definitely be back to stay again.

Great hostel with modern rooms and nice staff. At a great price This hostel is amazingly located in the city center close to a train station, shopping center and supermarket. With great access to public transport It has a self service kitchen which has a very decent amount of equipment, could do with a 2nd microwave for convenience though. The only annoyance is some of the showers are incredibly weak and the elevators really suck. Also some of the fliers they have up in the rooms are out of date or misprinted, advertising food and drinks at much lower rates than available, would be nice if they could be replaced or taken down entirely.

  • 4/5 Haris H. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent location, if you’re really lucky also excellent price at around £10-15 for a shared dorm! Ideal for concerts and public transport connections, surrounded by many pubs, restaurants and large stores including Lidl and Tesco. Also ideal for anyone that wants a room for a night or two but is on a budget like me. I don’t think it can get much more affordable than this Customer service was good, bed was comfy. Plug points beside bed worked. Only thing I’m *bummed* out by (if you’ll pardon the pun) was the lack of a toilet brush for the toilets. I would expect that anyway for a non shared room but I would especially expect that for a shared room that can house up to 14 people with bunk beds. I’m sorry but I have to mark down a star just for that, that’s my one and only gripe but it’s a massive gripe, totally unacceptable… please address this imminently WiFi can be patchy on the 5th floor, sometimes the signal completely drops, sometimes you’re lucky to get 2 bars Other than that, not much to fault about this hostel. Especially with the kind of service you get for £15 (the price I paid)! And I wouldn’t mind staying again, it did the job I needed it to do for me

  • 4/5 Sapfo S. 1 year ago on Google
The location is excellent, there are so many things to do on foot distance. The rooms are big and clean (of course the people in the rooms also contribute to that so it depends). For 5£ you can even check in earlier so don't worry if your flight arrives very early. I was there only for one night and I'd recommend it

I spent one night at Euro Hostel with my friend last week. The place is really clean and well located. We were impressed by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. The energy is just great. Also, do not miss the cheap and amazing breakfast, prepared with love. I cannot recommend this place more, thank you for everything!

Avoid this place, you won’t get a good sleep and rest, this place is falling apart. Booked on my last weekend, through bookings.com through misleading ad the room looked bigger in pictures with a double bed, in reality got a small room with a bunk bed for two. Found a few black stains on sheets as well, I had to make my own bed, the phone charging station didn’t work, the shower head was broken. The worst part of my stay, there was a constant noise coming, all night we are talking between 1 a.m. - 3 a.m., could hear a door slamming, drunk guests screaming, people running corridors, talking… it didn’t feel so secure, it felt really unsafe, I doubt they have cameras, as almost anyone could just come through and go straight to the lift at night, overall I have really bad memories staying there and next time I would rather pay more and stay in a nicer place instead.

  • 4/5 Aria L. 11 months ago on Google
Cheap room, Location extremely convenient Get what you would expect. Service very friendly however shower is quite small, bathroom itself is quite small, bed itself a little too hard but overall slept decently. Biggest issue is lack of plug sockets. We had a double room and there was only 2 plug sockets meaning we couldnt plug in more than 2 things at a time since the bed has wireless charging stations which neither of our phones supported.

This is 1 of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean , great beds +bedding. On site bar with food fantastic. As you walk outside you see the river what a view and last but certainly not least you have the staff ,from the cleaners, bar staff ,reception all are helpful, polite. For the price you pay its 5 🌟 would recommend to everyone. Thank you all for a wonderful stay will definitely be back.

Advice against staying here if you’re young Women. We got this room just as a place to stay for a night out. When we arrived we were checked in by a guy, one thing I will say is he said our room number out loud, with other people in the lobby. We are 2 young girls and this is a really dodgy hostel so this made us feel unsafe. we’re given a room with 4 beds, but this room was absolutely disgusting. Nothing had been cleaned it seemed. Socks left under the bed, dust and crumbs all over the floor, sheets were dirty, hairs on surfaces and a sticky stain on the chair. We went down to complain about this and the person at the desk (didn’t catch their name but it was a young feminine presenting person with colourful hair and lovely eyeliner!), they were lovely and sorted this for us right away and put us into a new room which was actually clean minus the sheets being dirty and ripped again. Now, when we came back after our night out, I went to head up back to my room. There was a group of 7 people in the lobby arguing with one of the guys at the desk. He stopped me and yelled for me to tell him my room number. I said i don’t want to yell it but he said I had to so i walked over and quietly told him. Obviously not quietly enough, because two men from the lobby followed me up to my floor, stood and watched me as I walked to my door whilst smirking, and leaning forward to see the room number. The guys followed my friend too. So if you’re young girls looking to stay here I advise against it. Not to mention because of how dirty the hostel is my friend and I are now sick. I’d spend the extra £20 for a travelodge.
