I did not sleep here but was sent here for breakfast by the hotel next door. Very good value breakfast, one big plate of hot food and a buffet of cold options (cereal, yogurt, breads etc) The ladies serving breakfast were lovely. The food was tasty. The blond lady at reception was so helpful and kind, she gave me a brolly because I was stupid and left mine at home! She really helped me more than she can know :) I’m in Glasgow for a very very important exam and all the staff here set me up for a good day. If I pass the exam then it’s in part to the kindness I was shown, giving me a relaxing morning. Thank you

Parking on the street is plentiful. Just buy a voucher from the hotel for a few pounds. Stairs were horrific if you were on the top floor like us with no lift. Rooms were clean and large. Breakfast was fantastic with really friendly and helpful staff. For the price it is extremely good value. Recommended.

Good value for money. Great Scottish breakfast, friendly staff and 24 hour reception. The room I had (3 bed room) was spacious, though I also saw some tiny ones. The mattresses were a bit worn down. Wifi was fine. Good location for a conference at the SEC (walking distance), but still close to a street with some pubs and cafes. Nice neighborhood.

Clean, convenient, courteous staff. Had a good 4 night stay, staff really friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Comfy bed, good shower. Just needs updating a bit but good value for money, will stay again if in the area.

As a first time American tourist, this hotel hit the nail on the head for all the things I reeeeally care about. I'm thankful there was a private bathroom in our room. The hot water was plentiful! The water pressure was great. Our room, bathroom and beds felt clean. Having WiFi is kinda necessary these days especially with traveling, so I'm glad they have WiFi. I'm thankful breakfast was served and it was delicious. The eating area was bigger than I expected and I read the reviews that mentioned it was cramped. The reception and dining staff have been nothing but kind and helpful. Mega 5 stars for the coffee! They have awesome machines that give you whatever you want- cappuccino, latte, etc. My husband and I stayed in a room with 2 twin beds and I have to say it was really nice to have our own space lol. I almost prefer 2 separate twins over a double or a queen. We slept like babies after a full day of traveling. Sure I can agree there could be some updates to the mattresses, decor, etc. But I knew what we signed up for and I wanted a place that had a little character to it. So I'm my opinion, I love the somewhat of a dated feel, it's a cozy place I'd stay again and recommend. Cheers!

Staff were great and the reception area nice, welcoming and modern. Unfortunately the rooms are absolutely horrendous. The room I stayed in actually had a huge sink hole in the middle and all the furniture including the bed was angled into the collapsed floor. The room is very dirty and old with mould on everything. The shower moves when you stand in it and big cracks appear around the base. Couple this with the collapsed floor in the main room does not inspire confidence in the building. The towels had black stains on them and the bed was super thin and felt like sleeping on the floor. Really disappointed in the rooms and actually felt somewhat unsafe due to the structural collapse of the floor. Really hope management spend the time and money to modernise the hotel as it has good potential but extremely poor value for money. (Β£90 per night for that)

We stay here almost every time we visit Glasgow. It's an ideal location for anything we want to including ovo within walking distance. Vast variety of bars and restaurants cafes etc. Always clean, staff friendly and helpful. Good wee bite in morning to get you going .

A bit old but is in the nice location every place was easy distance. Staff was super nice and very polite and were always there to help. Rooms were also bigger than expected. Over all for the money it was really good.

Not too expensive and friendly staff. Rooms can be a bit noisy though, stayed in room 1 and heard people in the hallway and creaking floors above us quite often.

Room was comfy and clean but the curtains were partially unhooked, stained and marked. The soap dispenser in the shower fell apart when touched. Breakfast was good and the service generally very good. Value for money.

Have used this small friendly hotel for a few years now as the rates are normally in double figures. On our last stay in October prices had risen to unacceptable levels so will be mindful of the rates in future as they have no bar facilities.

They allowed us to check-in early, and they're not fussy in checking you out. The staff were really nice and friendly too. The price for room (breakfast included) is relatively affordable compared to other nearby hotels.

You get what you pay for. The hotel overall needs refurbishment but more urgently, the center bed in room 201 desperately needs a new mattress!! Please change it. Making your guests sleep in such torn down mattress is unacceptable. The family room was massive but you could hear people around in night. Overall a decent stay and prices are low.

1st time staying here staff friendly and helpful room was functional but mattress was a bit thin and I could feel the springs poking through (room 314) missed breakfast not used to eating that early and after a late night watching a band were not ready to eat between 7 and 9.15 am just a wee bit longer would have been great .

Room was basic, ideal for a weekend. Breakfast was a treat and the ladies in the breakfast room were great. Receptionist when I arrived very helpful and friendly. Ideally situated for Art gallery and museum,Byres Rd, underground service into city centre.

Nice clean hotel. Some rooms are small, some are larger. Staff are polite and helpful. Very accommodating. On street parking. But a good location on sauchiehall street.

It was like staying at your mates house whit not enough bed to go around, but at least his mum made you a fry up in the morning. The bed was comfortable but too small to get comfy. Breakfast was not bad but plentiful. The room had the worst dip in the floor I've ever seen, the middle of the room was at least 3 inches lower than the sides.. no joke. If I had no other option I would stay here again but in a city full of hotels I'd say it was unlikely. Sorry.

We stayed here after a day of work, excellent location. The rooms are lovely and clean. The breakfast was lovely, freshly served at the tables with absolutely amazing staff that are a credit to the hotel. Parking was on the main road outside the hotel.

If the decor was updated and the rooms refurbished this place would be a real gem. Having said that the bed was comfortable, the shower was great and the staff were friendly and helpful at breakfast even when it was busy. The breakfast area is cramped but the scrambled eggs were amazing and there was a decent choice of fruit and cereal. I think we were a bit late for pastries (though 9:15 is early to finish breakfast on a Sunday!). Parking is on the streets nearby which is free on a weekend and Β£4 on weekdays - you can buy a permit from reception.
