Paid £910 for 2 nights, they describe all the amenities online - BUT they don't mention all the limitations until you arrive. So, for the spa you can only use it for selected hours (8-10am and 5-8pm). This isn't clear anywhere when booking. And then you try to go, but the pool is drained (under maintenance) and engineers are working on the hot rooms. The staff are great and the bar area is cool, but otherwise it's pretty basic and overpriced. I feel kind of robbed, wish I had stayed somewhere else for my trip to Glasgow.

Great customer service, just a couple of things. 1. Needed to order more toilet rolls. 2. Service at breakfast is not the fastest. Hotel standards very good and all staff very friendly except one of the restaurant supervisor, seemed not really interested in giving the best service.

They go above and beyond to make your stay perfect, our room was beautiful. The staff are friendly, everything is spotless. The spa was simply wonderful and we look forward to returning once it has been refurbished. Breakfast is very well put together, and we enjoyed the social hour with complimentary wine in the evening. We brought our little dog with us and he was totally spoilt, being allowed to use the private park opposite and having treats in the room. Practically perfect in every way, 5 stars.

I think it’s the best hotel in Glasgow city center. Rooms are well decorated and fitted. Bathroom was specious with big bath tub. Hotel restaurant was very tasty, we had their breakfast and dinner on most of the days. Another word to say about staff - they really make you feel welcomed. Everyone was extremely helpful and nice. Will be coming back when coming back to Glasgow!

From start to finish the service was excellent, nothing was too much bother and the room service breakfast was on point! Only £5 extra to have your breakfast delivered to your room. The rooms are lovely, clean and have good amenities. The free mini bar snacks is always a nice touch along with nice coffee and tea. Staff are generally local people and well trained. Only down side was the Spa, the restrictions on entry for paying hotel guests is ridicules. The spa was so busy within the allocated time slots that it felt uncomfortable. Paying guests had nowhere to hang towels so they were putting them on the wet floor. Every sauna and steam room fool, pools fool. It was just uncomfortable. They should allow paying guests full entry to the pool and spa at any point in the day into the later evening 10pm. They also need adequate places to hang robes and towels. Guys, if you’re letting 50 people into the spa then you need 50 hangers on the walls to hang robes. All in all the hotel is very night, staff are good and I would definitely recommend. But I wouldn’t come back for a spa day unless they sorted it out. Looking over some of the hotel reviews, most of them are marked down due to the spa.

The hotel staff was beyond expectations. They were friendly, courteous, and above all, welcoming. EVERY staff member was excellent, yet, there is always one that stands out. His name is Ivo. This gentleman speaks seven languages and was extremely helpful and engaging. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and comfortable. When I come back to Glasgow, I will always stay at this hotel.

Wow! Had a wonderful stay at the end of May, lovely service and amenities, friendly staff- couldn't ask for a better experience. However, would recommend the hotel invest in some sound proofing ! The room beside mine must've been having an *rgy while I was on an international business call.. left me a bit embarrassed...

Remember to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of my favorites in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you definitely will love it I'm sure! Wonderful hotel. Still as my mother remembers it from years ago. The staff were all friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. We will definitely be back to stay.

Kimpton Blythswood is an excellent 5 star hotel with really good rooms, impeccable service, and excellent location. I was very impressed by the hotel and you have to get the rooms with breakfast included so that you’ll get to enjoy your stay even more. The breakfast was really good, with a mix of breakfast classics to order and a buffet Scottish/English breakfast, fruits, yogurts and cereals. I won’t stay anywhere else in Glasgow!

We stayed for one night to meet up with friends. We were impressed by the service from the time we arrived until we left. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the concierge team. The rooms are a good size and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. We didn't have time to sample the spa but it did look very inviting. We arrived back at the hotel after dinner and felt that the bar area was a bit of a let down. It is small for the size of the hotel and is open to the dining room which was closed. The combination of the empty restaurant and some poor lighting gave the bar an unwelcome feel.

Absolutely brilliant hotel stay, felt like we were away from the outside world for 24hrs. Lovely professional staff from start to finish, spacious rooms, great thermal experience and gorgeous Sound Therapy session in the spa. Food was delicious too! Would recommend.

This property has the most amazing staff! Knowledgeable, helpful, and each person has a warm approach. Our group really enjoyed this experience. Ask about the history of the property and you will discover its roots in auto racing. Wander through the lobby and each person will smile and ask if you need anything. Also, the restaurant is out of this world! Once, at dinner, we couldn't decide on one started, so ordered 5. We loved them all! One was so good, we ordered it again. We had an excellent experience tasting new types of Scotch with the help of the people at the bar. One person in our party has celiac and the kitchen was very accommodating. Thank you Blysthwood Square Hotel! You made a short stay memorable!

Enjoyed a very relaxing long weekend at the hotel and made the most of the fantastic breakfast, bar, and spa. I can't wait to return for another stay soon. Thank you to the hotel staff for running such a lovely place.

This hotel is a true 5-star experience. I was booked here by a neighboring 5-star hotel I booked which was still under construction. Kimpton took us in with such short notice and gave us the best service like they would do for their guests. The location was pretty central and walkable from where all the shops were in Buchanan St. I love that the location of the hotel is actually a little walk from the busy area because it was a quiet location. The staff were incredibly so nice and friendly and so attentive to everything we needed. We have stayed in many other 5-star hotels and the service here by far is the best service we have had. Felt like a queen being a guest here. If I ever come back to Glasgow, I would love to stay with them again.

Nice room but our stay was marred by a constant cigarette smell that emanated from the toilet vents, probably from another room although this was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. Our request to switch rooms was turned down as the hotel was full so we had to endure the smell for a night. As this occurred at night (9ish pm) we had to wait for quite some time before someone came with a room spray (apparently very few staff at night) which left the room smelling like artificial sweet flowers. The next day we were shifted to another room without much issue, though we feel the Staff could be friendlier during the process. Breakfast was really amazing. Great spread, excellent quality.

The hotel is in a very beautiful building , the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the meal we had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The best meal I’ve eaten in a long time. The location is perfect to explore the city , highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Visited for 4 nights recently for a family wedding. Our room was lovely and served as the "mens base" on the actual day. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Reception staff, particularly Kirsty, eased all the admin for us. It may be expected that the concierge team should just do a good job but the gentlemen at the Blythswood Hotel, particularly David, went "above and beyond" to help with a number of issues during our stay. Just be aware that Blythswood Square (where the hotel is located) is at the top of a hill so guests may need to use a taxi or tuk-tuk back from the city centre! Overall a great trip.

Stellar Service with a Scottish Smile What an amazing team! Hotel and location are pretty enough but it is made so much more special by the staff. Everyone went above and beyond: from a particular item generally unavailable for room service to giving me a bowl full of delicious chocolates when all I asked for was a plate to put some biscuits in! Several room amenities available on demand; complementary spa treatment ( small), happy hour and even a glass of champagne. Oh and what other hotel has no charge for a mini bar? Couple of suggestions for the hotel: Please have some savory items in mini bar for those of us trying to reduce sugar The chair is too low for the desk. Perhaps a cushion on demand?

My partner and I have had 2 kids in 19 months and decided to have our first overnight stay in the kimpton blythswood. First off I would like to say every member of stay were fantastic and great to talk to and very helpful. We had cocktails after checking in and some free wine in the reception where both the reception staff and the guys in the reception were brilliant to chat to very knowledgeable of the area and honestly just great chat. We went out for dinner and came back to get some room service and chill out. The following day the breakfast was outstanding I will attach some pictures which won't do it any justice. Fantastic hotel and exceptional staff. We will definitely be back, plus we need to meet this black lab dog that the hotel has he "was on his holiday's" when we visited. Fantastic thanks very much for our stay here it was brilliant

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel as part of a spa/overnight package with my partner. We both left feeling so relaxed and can't praise literally all of the staff we encountered enough. They were so friendly and went out of their way to make everything perfect in every area. The rooms are stunning and the beds comfortable beyond belief. Without a doubt we will be back again and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

FABULOUS!! Staff, Hotel, Food all excellent. Staff made us feel very welcome. Special Recognition goes to Dave, concierge Sunny in the resturant and Ian housekeeping. They all added to our wonderful experience. Would highly recommend. 5 Stars. We were lucky enough to have an executive suite. Gorgeous room over looking the square.

Kimpton Blythswood Square Glasgow is located in the city centre, only a 10 minute walk from Glasgow Grand Central. It's relatively quiet too despite being so central. The building is impressive with its stately Georgian architecture and private gardens out front. The hotel's interior is light and airy with modern furniture, high ceilings, and spacious rooms. The rooms here are designed with comfort in mind. Every detail has been thought of to ensure the space is not only practical and functional but also extremely comfortable. Kimpton is dog-friendly and welcome them with open arms. There are no extra (or hidden) pet charges and the hotel provides anything you might have forgotten. Nothing was an inconvenience at Kimpton. Simple touches, like arranging to have breakfast brought to us in the lounge upstairs so our dog could dine with us, made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to assist us. Nothing was ever too much trouble and our dog was treated like any other guest.

Perfect location, perfect front desk staff, great bar. The front desk staff was so helpful in answering all of our questions! They even gave us an outlet converter! The Croatian man (apologies, I don't remember your name!) was exceptionally helpful in suggesting things to do and where to eat.

Outstanding hotel with luxe rooms and excellent service. We spent two nights in a room overlooking the Square. The room itself was very comfortable, with a cozy bed that allowed for a good, deep sleep. The bath had a separate shower and a soaking bathtub, which filled up very quickly. Plush bathrobes were very nice on a cold morning. The bar had great cocktails and friendly service. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and found the food and service to be excellent. I'm sorry that the pool and spa were undergoing renovations, but we will be back.

Staff were very attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary and they left a bottle of Prosecco in our room which was lovely. The spa is the best I have experienced and the social hour from 5-6 with complimentary wine was a nice touch also. Fiona on the front desk was cheerful, helpful and made us feel very welcome , thank you . Overall a super hotel which we will visit again.

The Kimpton at Blythswood Square is a very good Hotel. The reception service is excellent and takes the guests first. All wishes you might have, the staff tries its best to make things happen by always being super engaged and shows a proactive manner. Two slightly negative point should be mentioned: First, the service quality at the breakfast was not utterly overwhelming. The people there show only little engagement and regularly forgets orders. For our stay consisting of four breakfasts, they forgot our orders two times on different days. This might be forgiven due to hard times hiring service staff in Scotland currently. Second, the spa opening hours are very limited as one can only go between 8 and 10 am or from 5 to 8pm. That had the consequence that we didn’t visit the spa once during our stay. Overall, we will come back as the rest was terrific and we really felt welcome at all times. Also, special requests were no problem and were taken care of asap by the hotel.

The Kimpton is an absolutely beautiful hotel. The staff are all incredibly nice, the rooms are well appointed and very clean, the bed was comfortable, & the buffet breakfast was delicious. If you are looking for a hotel in downtown Glasgow this one is an excellent choice. It is well deserving of 5 stars. Thank you for a fantastic last night in Scotland.

Our check-in experience was impeccable with the concierge coming out to the cab and taking our bags immediately off our hands. The front desk check in was smooth and the lady assisting us was helpful in answering questions as well as making us a breakfast reservation for the next morning. However, upon entering the room, I was a bit startled at the uncleanliness considering this is a 5 star hotel. There was an open can of Diet Coke in the bathroom upon check in, stains on the decorative pillows on the beds (not the actual sleeping pillows), rips and stains in the robes, and a stain on the rug. I was a bit surprised to see all of this in a 5 star hotel. That lost the first star. The second star is lost because of spa/fitness facilities. The hotel has very odd hours for access to both the gym and the spa. The hours are very random: 8am to 10am and 4pm to 8pm. Which is very strange times. Lastly the fitness room does not have a treadmill which was quite surprising for a major hotel. I do want to highlight that most staff was extremely helpful and polite.
