Stayed here back in March whilst attending a Panic! At the Disco Concert, nice room, friendly staff, quiet. Room was nice and clean, bathroom was alright (shower bit small) but overall nice room and would consider staying here again if I was to attend another concert in the area.

Was skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but myself and my girlfriend had a very pleasant stay. For just £72, we had a very large room that was very clean, modern and with its own private bathroom. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful too. My only issue was the £150 mandatory security deposit upon check-in, which I found to be very high compared to a lot of hotels, so need to make sure you have enough money in your bank. Other than that, it was returned within a day after check-out, so can't complain.

I was told I could use the disabled space for my wife as she has mobility issues. When we arrived a huge van was in the space and it didn't have a Blue badge. I told the staff but they couldn't care less. I had to leave my wife and children in the lobby with the luggage as they weren't allowed to check in without my card. I then had to drive around to find a parking space and get a taxi back to the hotel as it was far away. On top of this the room was dirty and uncomfortable. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere to stay.

We booked last minute, as a quick stop over after a gig that was rescheduled from March. We were looking for a good deal so we could stop over rather than have a long drive home. The room was a really generous size, the staff were very nice and it was perfect for our needs. Some tired elements to the place, not sure I'd want to stay a week for instance, hence the 4 stars, but more than happy for what we paid.

When I arrived, I was told I had to pay an extra deposit of £100 before I could be checked in. They told me that the card I booked the reservation with did not work. I tried another card, and then another, yet they continued to claim it wasn't working. They kept telling me to go get cash and give them that instead. It was only when I asked for a written document explaining why they were turning me away that the initial card suddenly worked! (RED FLAG) In the first room I got, the tub had what looked like a pool of urine in it. I asked to change. In the second room, I noticed the door to the bathroom was broken, there was a stain on the carpet and the television did not work. The third room reeked of smoke and cheap fragrance. Being that I requested a smoke-free/fragrance-free room due to extremely severe allergies, this was unacceptable, so I had to go back to the broken-down second room. Slamming doors, screaming and yelling kept me up all night, every night. I was told, "That's just how Glasgow is." No. It's not. I've been in other hotels in Glasgow, and they've not had this level of noise, or filth. Not one. When I checked out I was told I would get my deposit back. Then I got an email claiming I had done the damage, with blurry photos to match. Now, I know I did not do the damage, they know I did not do the damage, but they kept the deposit anyhow and I had to explain to work why. The hotel is filthy, and loud and they will scam your deposit from you. DO NOT STAY THERE!

There was blood on the sheet, I didn't give it second thought because it was cheap. It turned out they probably had bed bugs, I had bites all over me, thanks a lot. The mattress sagged so bad in the middle, I was lying on springs, it was like sleeping on cheap pull out couch. Mold and hair in the bathtub. Wifi speed was 0.5 mb/s. Forget about using it for anything. The carpet looked nasty as well. Avoid it if possible.

Hotel was very good. Breakfast is a bit chaotic. 1st day pay extra and get quite tasty Scottish breakfast 2nd day the Scottish breakfast was greatly reduced in portion size 1 egg 1 slice of bacon no potato hash and no beans which we, had been told there was no beans. Would stay again but just have continental breakfast.

TL;DR - Good value hotel with great staff and location that could use some updating in the rooms. Stayed here with my wife for two nights in early May. After a long drive from Liverpool we arrived at the hotel an hour and a half before check-in. We had to pay a small 10 pound fee for early check-in. Not great, but understandable. The first room we were given, Room 302, had a couple of issues: the bolt on the door would not lock and the wifi would not connect when in that room. The front desk staff promptly moved us to a new room which fixed both issues. The rooms themselves are tidy, but old and could use some updating, especially the washroom. Being from America, we are accustomed to larger showers. The shower in my room was very narrow and the floor would get wet every time from water dripping from under the glass partition. To prevent the floor from getting soaked, I had to use the handheld shower head and crouch down in the corner against the wall. The staff was friendly and location was great. There are so many good restaurants just minutes away and there are bus stops right outside the hotel entrance. You are also near Kelvingrove Park.

The hotel has seen better times for sure. The price is quite good, considering the location in town and the free parking. The breakfast was ok, nothing fancy, but also, right for the price. The guys in the reception were very friendly and helpful. I could stay again.

Great location for both the West End and the centre of town. Staff very helpful and friendly. I had my dog with me and he was made very welcome. Hotel just across from Kelvingrove Park. Food looked good and they had a good choice on the menu. Would definitely go back.

Lovely staff. The rooms were very spacious with a huge bed! My only slight complaint is the view of the window faced directly into all the bins of the hotel :( The breakfast was good although quite busy and there was not much room to move especially if people were barging in front.

stayed here for two nights was a great experience other than on the second day of the breakfast the eggs were off I'm sure it wasn't meant but could have cause someone to be seriously ill. Staff were friendly room was great and had a shower don't have one at home only a bath haha. Will come back for another stay in the future.

Worst hotel ever. Hair in the bathroom as well as black floors that clearly haven’t been cleaned. Freezing cold rooms where the heating does not work and very little help from staff. Breakfast shouldn’t even be classed and breakfast and the woman who was serving in there was quite possibly the rudest person I have ever met. Made our trip here so disappointing. Never again avoid at all costs

Paid £135 for the room for 1 night including breakfast, so disappointed for this price we didn't get a cooked breakfast. Good area, bed comfy and staff pleasant but paper cups in room for tea and coffee not good.

This is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff that go the extra mile. The rooms are really nice the bed is comfortable, nice size bathroom and smelt fresh . The food tasted really nice. They have a thing that connects you to a taxi firm to make it easier for you and safer to get a taxi to where you want to go Will happily stay here again

Rooms are nice, modern and clean. Great traditional hotel, comfy beds. Large rooms. Breakfast in morning in restaurant. No lounge here, apart from entrance reception. Wasn't too please to be woken up to the smell of gloss pain when we stayed. So had to bail early as it was catching my breath and chocking from fumes. Would of been an easy 4 if it wasn't for getting woke up in morning by staff and painter. open most of night so smokers can get in and out if need be. Great location right next to Kelvin grove park and butcher house grill

My car was damaged in the private car park by hotel staff admittedly by the hotel manager, I asked for the CCTV straight away they refused and then in 5 days got police involved and they said they the deleted footage after 7 days despite me asking them not to do so right away. All along the staff informed me the hotel will sort this out for me. It never happened and now I am 500 quid out of pocket. Among other things the hotel was filthy, booze and sick all over the public areas and stank of cannabis. Rude staff and dodged everycall. If that all sounds like your idea of good hospitality, knock yourself out… literally.

Rooms clean . Staff pleasant . What has let my visit down was the 100 pound deposit put on the room . And to be refunded 10 days later . Why ? I just wouldn't come back as long as that imposition is in place . My stay fee was all paid on line previous to check in .

The Devencove is currently going through a refurbishment. The room I was in was very newly done up to a lovely standard. The continental breakfast has a great selection to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use the Devencove as my Glasgow base in future!

Stayed here on friday 8th july with my partner. Was pleasant experience from check in till checkout. The staff were chatty, friendly and very helpful. The room and bathroom were both very clean and well presented and the bed was comfortable. Great location. Also I thought we were just getting continental breakfast as it was included in the price. When we went for breakfast on the saturday morning, one of the ladies who checked us in on the friday told us that we were getting a complimentary cooked breakfast as I had booked through the hotels own website :) was a very pleasant surprise! Food was lovely too! We will most definitely be back again. Thank you so much to the team for making our stay a pleasant one. Leanne

Room OKish until we were in bed and could feel the wall move everytime people next door leaned against their head rest, can hear absolutely everything, even next doors videos on their phones, traffic noise, EVERYTHING! Pillows are paper thin, mattress is VERY old and used, hair found in the bath, dirt marks in the bath.... I recommend staying elsewhere.

Came with a couple of mates. The staff seemed friendly although slow at responding to our needs like asked about having an extra duvet as the room was bloody freezing as the heating only comes on at 6pm. Even then, it is still cold. The breakfast was rather underwhelming as not a fan of cooked breakfast. Only good thing is choices of beverages like hot chocolate and peppermint tea. Also the staff were understanding when wanted to change the channel on the TV as Katy Price came on and we strongly dislike her! The parking spaces are terrible! My friend couldn't get her car out properly as an unauthorised vehicle was in the way. Later on, no parking spaces left. The staff never cleaned our rooms when we were out. The safe was useful as a chocolate teapot. The good things- was the some of the staff were nice, like when my friend accidentally scratched the neighbouring car as awkward to get out the car park. A staff member rang the owner and he came to move the car. Also surprised there was a bath, although in an awkward position as struggled to get out. As the photographs of the room had walk in showers. The beds were comfortable, although had to share a bed with a friend which I am not used to, yet I share a bed with my dog at home. Managed to get most sleep and were warm especially as the room was freezing. I am surprised the place allowed dogs and could've took my dog after all. But didn't as my dog doesn't like being in cities and like to go off lead.

👍👍 An excellent experience at Miller and Carter tonight. The food came out quickly and was so incredibly delicious - the steak was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping sauce was to die for! All steaks come with house fries they can up upgraded to chunky chips or sweet potato fried but we honestly...
