Stayed here one night on the fourth floor. Room was cramped and carpet was filthy and the floor was uneven and very creaky. Could hear the next room over like they were in our room. No peep hole in the door. Room reeked of cigarettes. Beds were terribly uncomfortable. You could feel the springs poking you in the back. Only positive was the bathroom was clean and the location is within walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants. Would not recommend this hotel.

They make you pay a deposit of 1 pound from your credit card to have the possibility to get more money from your card. And I'm still waiting the deposit back. I’m still waiting the deposit back after one week of checkout. In Holiday Inn and Novotel I never had this experience.

Very disappointed wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Booked 2 nights 1st night DBB using a voucher we received as a gift 2nd night B&B Room very basic curtain linings torn carpets needing deep clean general cleanliness not that great Food on 1st night were told only allowed main courses with voucher everything else had to be paid on ordering steak was told we had to pay £5 supplemt. Meal on 1st night was good, so we had dinner there on 2nd night what a disappointment scampi was like rubber and inedible on pointing this out was offered a free dessert took profiteroles they arrived but one it was frozen solid in the middle also tasted strange was only offered an apology still had to pay full price for dinner As for breakfast what breakfast there was 2 choices of fruit juice a selection of 4 low quality cereals and a jug of milk left sitting on a table for you to help yourself to then someone came and asked if we wanted tea or coffee and toast toast arrived about 15/20 minutes later cold and not given a choice of brown or white toast .For a hotel charging for Bed and Breakfast I expected a cooked breakfast Very disappointed in my overall stay

This was a lovely hotel to stay in. The rooms were perfect for our stay, we're warm tidy and well looked after

The worst lodging in our 10 day UK holiday Where do I start 1. They couldn’t find my reservation 2. Rooms were minuscule 3 I had to walk down a flight of stairs only to walk up another flight of steps to get to my room Lousy place with surly staff The breakfast at Soul Food was pretty good with pleasant staff Avoid this place

Bedroom too hot, full of bed bugs and the water proof mattress cover is full of hairs so this means it's not being washed or cleaned, also the towels were with dead bed bugs. £86 for one night not worth it. Too expensive for a 3 star hotel. I forgot to read the comments otherwise i would had picked another one 👎👎👎

Very quant hotel. Rooms are very small but manageable. Not the friendliest at front desk. Limited parking just 4 spots in back alley. Great Breakfast

Room was lovely, pretty spacious and clean. Beds comfy. Only prob is we couldn't get the window shut. Reported this but it never got fixed. Meant we coukd hear the gulls all night. The breakfast was nice but expected veggie breakfast as breakfast is in the soul kitchen which is a veggie restaurant

I was on the 4th floor so the only window was in the ceiling. It was cozy. I doubt I could stay here in summer as I adore cold AC in my hotel and this room, I don’t believe had AC? I did crack the window one night… as I like cool air.. it was fine but since no screen little gnats came in the room. Oh well… I liked well enough for two nights

Small rooms. Our door couldn't even be fully opened. We requested ground floor, to avoid stairs, so they put us in the basement. It was clean and easy to find. Glad we only stayed one night.

Had a great one night stay. The facilities were clean and the hotel was close enough to bus services that will take you into town. The staff was very friendly. There was a good selection at breakfast as well.

Very surprised at the high standard for a room at that price. Room very good, spacious bathroom, clean and well presented. Breakfast again very good. Staff are friendly and polite. Excellent stay thank you.

Very small rooms. Restaurant is lovely. BUT STAFF WILL KEEP anything you forget in your room even if you had come back the same morning to check out the room for left belongings…

Great location near museums, west end restaurants and Glasgow University. Also very close to City Sightseeing bus tour stops. Breakfast was great too!

There was no soap and the toilet paper is what you get in a public toilet. There was no window on the fourth floor rooms, just a sky light that opens one inch. It was sunny and the shade was left open when we checked in, it was stifling and has not cooled down at 10:30 PM. Thank goodness it was only for one night but we stayed to go to the airport in the morning and I can’t sleep because it’s so hot and humid in this room. Front desk not helpful. Location was fine but there are better hotels around for the same price.

Fantastic room, great service, probably wouldn't recommend in the summer as there doesn't seem to be any air conditioning but otherwise brilliant

This is a great wee hotel where we had a lovely stay recently. Quiet room, small but with everything we needed, and an excellent breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also in a great location, with lots of shops, cafes and bars nearby. Perfectly placed also for the concert we were attending at Kelvingrove Park. We were sad to leave, and actually felt like we'd been abroad for the weekend! (the weather did help a bit!) We will definitely be back!

Good location. Parking a bit difficult. They have back parking but very limited space. Good service. Good housekeeping. Breakfast also okay. Corridor is a bit smelly but that's probably due to its age because the housekeeper sprays air freshner every day. Rooms are small but okay. No fridge or oven. Bathroom is clean and nice but shower does not work properly. Overall, satisfactory.

Great location for going to a gig a 15 minute walk to the ovo hydro and a 30 minute walk into Glasgow city center, surrounded by great food places and bars. The room was clean and enough space for two people, the shower was very good and the breakfast was lovely buffet style but still with bacon, potato scones etc. All the staff were lovely and very good at offering tea and coffee and looking after everyone

Room was nothing like what pictures on website show. Clean enough except for carpet . One of the 2 beds in room had a dreadful mattress, could feel every spring. Ceiling in corridor looked like it had had a leak and was all stained with smoke alarm hanging loose. Mentioned mattress to guy on departure and he said nothing just smiled. Girl who checked us in was lovely. Hotel is in a great location.

Great location, massive room, comfy bed. Helpful staff, good breakfast. Only downside was the noise from outside. I am not used to noise at night as where we stay is very quiet with no road noise. Next time I would take earplugs.

Liked · Lovely hotel with large rooms and bathrooms, plenty of space for 2 travelers and their luggage. Décor was very cool and bed was very comfortable. Super walkable to many attractions, places to eat, and the bus system Disliked · Only downside was our shower door didn't seal very well causing water to leak on the floor

My room was warm, clean and comfortable, it could benefit from an update but was perfectly acceptable for a short stay. However I would strongly advise anyone who's booked for a stay to take some earplugs with them as even though double glazing appears to be present, the road noise is still extremely loud! And although much quieter, I could still hear staff and other guests talking throughout the night. Plus points are a 24hr manned reception, on site restaurant and the option of single rooms at a very reasonable rate. It's a perfect location for anyone who's visiting the Kelvingrove Museum, Botanic Gardens, exploring the University grounds and especially attending an event at the SSE Hydro as it's a small fraction of the cost in comparison to others nearby and would happily use again for that purpose.

It is actually pretty good for a cheap stay in Glasgow . Never go for hotels in Edinburgh as your pockets will be empty

Clean. Good location. The reception staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. The windows are designed to keep all air out, stuffy and hot. Good breakfast and great waitstaff

Booked a room for four, got three beds only. Error due to missunderstanding while booking, however receiption staff was neither cooperative nor friendly. Asked for manager to fix issue, however here also no cooperation proposed, "it's your fault!" one star for receptionist and management only! Rooms are ok and clean, breakfast in the basement (restaurant which also can be run independently) is outstanding! 5 stars for the service ladies!!

They have been very clever/underhand with some of their room photographs. Our double bed barely fitted the room - we had to vault over the bottom corner in order to make it through to the bathroom. Quite a bit of rubbish left from the previous occupants too. The walls were paper thin, even by the standards of other hotels I was surprised how much noise I was subjected to from next door.

The room was clean. Breakfast was good; the girls there were attentive and never stopped. We were going to the Ovo Hydro and found it just a fifteen minute, easy walk, away, so an ideal situation. Would definitely go again.

We made a reservation using Trip Advisor for 4 people to one room. We contacted the hotel directly a few days before arrival to confirm our reservation and to see if they would be able to hold our luggage for a few hours before check-in. They said our room was only for 3 people. We contacted Trip Advisor to see what had happened, but the hotel kept messaging us (they were supposed to sort it with Trip Advisor directly, not us) asking us how they were supposed to put 4 people in a 3-people room, and that we had to pay more for the larger room (bait and switch), and finally - without prompting or further communication from us, only because Trip Advisor was trying to reach them and the sales manager refused to take their calls - he told US that we were no longer welcome. The sales manager sent us that rude message! We have copies of the emails. They weren't even supposed to keep communicating with us, but with Trip Advisor directly - which is what WE did when we found out there was an error. The sales manager didn't take any calls from Trip Advisor when they were trying to help us sort out the problem, just sent us that unprofessional and rude message. Thankfully we were able to find alternative accommodations at the last minute and Trip Advisor helped us get reimbursed for the difference in price, but seriously. Stay there if you want, but beware! There are other hotels that are better and their staff is WAY more professional.
