HORRIBLE If i could score 0 I would.. where do I even begin with this hotel. We stayed for 1hour looked around and checked out as it was not suitable for family with a small baby. Family rooms.. do not exist in this hotel personally it’s more like a lodge. Be mindful of the ten thousands steps to the hotel we had about 8 suitcases. The guy at reception seemed cold and not helpful with our luggage’s. The cot provided wasn’t even setup was just left in the corridor of the hotel like some rubbish.. The rooms smelled extremely bad like mould even though the window was open. Some stains on the drawers, mould on the walls. I really wouldn’t advise anyone to stay there Also not allowed to eat in rooms we was told lol I have never heard of that one before. The distance from Glasgow central station to the hotel is about 20min drive as well so be mindful. Honestly good luck if you stay there as we simply couldn’t even stay any longer than 1hour. The hotel is in need of some serious renovation and upgrade once we said we are leaving they said ‘we wouldn’t find anything cheaper’ it’s not about the money it’s about comfort we booked somewhere else and it was so lovely!

Staff are very friendly and that's where the positive comments end. Rooms are miniscule, I was sharing a twin room that was so small we had to take turns to move. Cooked breakfast was advertised, it wasn't available. All in all not one I could recommend

This is one of the worst hotels I have experienced. The room is dirty and smelly. The bathroom and toilet outside the room are very inconvenient and uncivilized. The receptionist's attitude when talking to guests is very rude. especially the man with glasses and a beard. He talked to customers very impolitely and disrespected customers.

Great hotel in the center of Glasgow, very well located for all transport links. Rooms are of a good size, beds are super comfy. The staff are polite and attentive.

Good ambience, the room was compact and comfortable. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly member of staff at the reception. Check in was quick and efficient. The breakfast was £6 and the selection which was offered was of good quality and there was many options to choose from. The Wi-Fi was really good as I could stream and do my work. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to stay at Charing Cross hotel Glasgow as it covered all my needs and overall I had an excellent experience.

Honestly one of the best hotels in Glasgow. Not just because the room was clean and nice, but the staffs were truly amazing. The staff in the reception was extremely kind and sweet. Cleaning ladies on the floor were lovely, kind and polite. Really appreciate this experience.

Very well situated Hotel and if you manage your expectations then it's absolutely fine. Cheap and cheerful but spotlessly clean. The staff are very helpful and there is parking on the street, you just obtain a parking voucher from reception and it gives you discounted parking. Unfortunately we were on the top floor and the stairs are quite steep, there is no lift. Shared bathrooms again are spotlessly clean.

The staff is rude. There are no proper services. We asked to clean the room and she was like if u place ur things on the floor I can't clean it. The room sizes are too short compared to what are shown on the pictures on their website. There is no place to keep your stuff anywhere else. And since the day we are here; the room is stinking badly. The worst experience of staying at a hotel in Glasgow. Would never recommend for even one day stay and not at all with a friend or with ur family.

The rooms don't have toilets and bathrooms and it was not stated when I booked the place. It's not value for money, though the people at the reception were polite and friendly and the location is like 15 minutes from the town centre by walk. On street parking. Definitely, I will not repeat this hotel.

To say I was shocked and disappointed when I saw our room would be an understatement. It was tiny, outdated (to put it politely) and the floor was slanted as if the old building was perhaps subsiding to one side. Consequently the beds lay at the same angle and feeling all night one could easily roll right onto the floor. Shared tiny bathroom and shower, with extremely low water pressure, far from ideal. No elevators, stairs only. We were booked and paid for 3 nights but cut our losses after one night and left. Some have said it's cheap and ideally located. I wouldn't call over £200 per night cheap but can't argue with location as is within walking distance of city centre. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Well You get what You pay for. Some say small rooms, shared bath etc....I say it's just 5-10 min walk from city center and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It's a hotel, not a living area You will spend the day inside. 😀 Cleaning ladies were very polite. A pleasant adventure. 🙋‍♂️

Occasionally have to wait to get in the front door, happy with ensuite room. Only disappointment being just a continental breakfast and not the full Scottish,as advertised.

Really quiet but an excellent location! We chose the room with the shared bathroom but still felt that we had a lot of privacy and staff were lovely.

The rooms are small but the beds are very comfy, and excellent value for money, but what makes the stay here amazing is the friendly and very acomodating staff- Jamil made us feel welcome from the second we walked in, and always went the extra mile to make our stay amazing. Thank you 😊

A good budget hotel close to Sauchiehall Street and Charing Cross Station. Also within walkable distance to Kelvingrove Museum! The actual street looks a little rough, with a lot of graffiti and trash, but it was surprisingly quiet. My room was clean and (relatively) comfortable, and I liked having a kettle with tea/coffee, plus daily housekeeping. Unfortunately, like many older buildings, this one doesn’t block much noise from interior sources— I was woken up several times by noisy neighbors and people in the halls. The street noise was minimal, and the windows blocked most sounds very well.

The rooms are small and the bathrooms extremely tight! But that's what you get for the price, I understand... However what is really disappointing is the cleaning, the rooms are tidied up, maybe, but not professionally cleaned, we got sheets that have fresh stains, bathroom bin not changed, dust is everywhere, shampoo and these small bathroom add ons are used which supposed to be personal. When we complained, we were told, "that's not a five stars hotel, we are just a small hotel with breakfast and that's what we have!" Asked for the room to be cleaned at least, no housekeeping and we were offered just new bed sheets to do them ourselves! On another day, housekeeping trying to get in to the room without knocking on the door! Which extremely frightened me! If the price allows, a limited service, then fine but that should be clear on the website for the people who choose the place without raising the expectations bar for the customers and cleaning is certainly not a negotiable option regardless of the hotel stars or price! It's basics but maybe that way of thinking is why it is not a five stars hotel.

I was going out for the day so I went to the hotel in the morning and left my bags at reception (check-in is at 2pm so the room was not available yet). The manager was at the reception and very helpfully let me check in then so I could grab the keys straightaway when I came back in the evening. However, when I came back to the hotel and got the keys (about 1:30am) I found my room hadn't been cleaned. The receptionist was very kind and accommodating and he cleaned my room for me. However, it meant I wasn't able to get to my room until 2am. Overall, good service from reception but I felt quite let down as I had an early flight and really expected the room to be ready. The room itself was quite small, especially the bathroom.
