Staff were fine, but parking was bad, the hotel smells of damp, and the room was very basic. Ok if you want a cheap overnight stay and don't care about facilities. Its a travel lodge for me next time.

A fantastic hotel with helpful friendly staff. We had a lovely stay here for one night. Our room was luxurious, clean and spacious, with a complete on suite and a massive bath. Lovely high ceilings and windows. The bed was huge and pretty comfy. It's right in the city, not far from tje gardens which is lovely. But it was a bit noisy at night on a Friday, we had to fetch our ear plugs. Other than the noise, a great stay. I would go again and recommend it for sure! Staff were fantastic and made us feel so welcome.

Good value for money. Great location everything is at your door step. Comfy bed, massive room lots of space. On site parking with CCTV. Lovely staff. Deserves more than 2 star hotel raring. Will be staying there again.

Very Impressed. For a 2* hotel and the cost i would certainly recommend staying here. The rooms were very spacious and clean, our room had a recently renovated bathroom which looked great. Bed was more than comfortable and a decent size. Staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help. There is some free onsite parking at the back of the hotel but very limited to around 4-5 cars, failing that you would need to park at the front and pay. In a great location as across the road from Botanic Gardens and about 5 minutes from the Subway so easy access to city centre. I noticed a lot of other reviews mentioned it was very noisy from outside due to being near he main road be we didn't notice this at all, it was more than quiet enough to sleep. The only negatives i could say is that the building was very noisy when people were walking around and its quiet dated inside but its likely a very old building so not much can be done. Also if you wanted the cooked breakfast it was an extra £10 (ish) which seems quiet expensive to me but there are plenty of cafe's within walking distance.

A good location to put your head down. Rooms are very out dated, only soap and small towels provided. Breakfast is now NOT complimentary anymore and costs £9.99 each and less on the plate than there used to be, you can get it cheaper in the local cafes nearby. Not sure if we will be back again Tbh when there are far better deals in the area.

We stayed for 5 nights and we really appreciated this hotel. The location just near the botanic garden and everything you need was really cool, the room was clean, spacious and luminous, and the staff very nice and friendly!

Location wise it's good but something needs to be improved like there is huge sound from near by road and there is a lil smell when we get into room for the first time. We had to open windows for a time in order to remove smell. Reception peoples are good and helpful.

Location and view excellent, people are friendly, clean and friendly room, but no free breakfast as they advertise. The breakfast is 10 £ and you need to ask for it before. So, need to advertise the true about.

I stayed here for one night. Was able to change my check in time with no difficulty at all. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and given keys to my room... there is someone on the front desk 24 hrs a day, this was very good for me especially as I needed to check out at 4am. Checking out was very simple, I just had to give keys back to desk. The room was very clean and had all the necessities, at the price of the rooms I was extremely happy with my stay and will be staying here again in the future!!

I'm surprised this establishment is still in business. The room gets one star because it was spotlessly clean. Otherwise, there was no plug in the basin, no lid on the toilet seat, curtains falling off the rail, the linen was clean but fraying and the roof leaked through the fire sprinkler system. The day I checked in the lady behind the counter was cheerful and helped me with luggage up two flights of stairs. The rest of the time the staff were uncommunicative and the day I checked out the woman behind the desk was unbelievably rude and unhelpful claiming there was no-one to help me with luggage and she "had a bad back". She made no effort whatsoever and went to far as to shout at me. Hospitality industry...... I cannot recommend staying here

Location - A short stroll from the underground, plenty of restaurants & takeaways within 5/10 mins walk. A nice pub 5 mins away. The hotel itself was lovely & warm we turned the radiator off. Outside traffic could prove noisy for some if situated on a front facing room. It wasn't a problem for us. The beds are very soft. Not to our liking, depends on your preference. Shower nice & hot and clean. Rooms clean although small but we didn't mind. We had a double room. Hotel staff nice & friendly. Secure front door on a buzzer in the evening opened by the night porter quickly. We will stay here again

Great location for the West End, University & transport. A grand building with a big 3 x double bed room. Starting to look a bit worn but clean, spacious and comfortable. Despite overlooking a main road, it was quiet, with heavy curtains keeping out noise & light.
