I honestly don't understand all the negative reviews on here- you DO realize that it's £30 a night in Glasgow City Center? What are you expecting, The Ritz Carlton? Rooms are very basic and small, and the wifi is slower than molasses, but if all you are needing is a space to sleep during your time in Glasgow, this fits the bill perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I found my room to be clean. Yes, the windows are terribly thin- you could hear absolutely everything that happened on the street below- so bring earplugs! If you want more than just a room with a bed- you're better off going somewhere else.

You get what you pay for! While the staff were lovely and services good (bar the lack of elevator which made going up & down lots of flights of stairs with big suitcases a huge pain), the room itself was just bad. It was very, very small (a double room); and VERY unclean for a hotel. There was mould and black stains afoot in the shower along with strange hair in plain view across the bathroom. There were bits of kids' stickers (???) in the sink. The carpet was just as bad - definitely not the type of dirt you can easily remove with a hoover, it had been there for years by the looks of it. The beds were VERY uncomfortable, springs sticking in you and stuff - but if you'll be tired from a day exploring Glasgow then that shouldn't matter too much. I had a wound from an injury that needed dressing every night, and the nasty state of the room and beds (hairs in those too) really didn't help me feel safe or clean with it (trust me, I would have booked a hotel with better reviews if I knew I was going to have that wound at the time). It was a place to cheaply rest my head - and for that I'm very thankful! But I proooobably won't be staying there again ever.

A comfortable bed in a super-convenient location for a very reasonable price. Very clean and comfortable. (there's no shower gel just soap btw - as a regular traveller I'd be happy to pay an extra pound - maybe at reception - for that?) It's a tiny bit rough-around-the-edges but a bit it's good value and the staff are great - really polite and friendly! I'd stay here again - thanks!

The staff were friendly but the room we had was awful. The shower leaked, there was mould in the bathroom and in the room. The beds were nicely made but the sheets didn’t smell very clean. The windows were useless as we could hear everything outside; passing cars, people talking etc. I don’t think I’d personally stay here again.

Rooms are well below basic standards; smelly rooms specifically the toilet, no heating in the roam, tea cups are full of dust and hair, one inch soap for the whole family, no shampoo, towels are stained 'God knows with what', lamps are too bright, you can't leave on over night. Horrible, will never come back. .

We stayed for several days and the staff were great. It was more roomy and bright compared to others in the area and for the price it was fantastic. We ended up staying an extra two days and they accommodated us without having to move rooms.

Room not as pictured. Rooms despeartly needs a refurb!. Bathroom very small and dirty. Black hair around shower walls. Used soap in the bathroom and no showel gel available. No iron or hair dryer in the room as stated and when we asked on two occasions we were told no hair dryers were available. Very unhelpful staff. We will not be back. We visit Glasgow yearly and this hotel was very disappointing. AVOID THIS HOTEL

I stayed here while in city fr a festival for a few days on my own and really liked it, Reception was lovely, rooms were big and clean. Wifi was terrible but to be honest I was able to connect to the Uni's library from my rooms so that was fine too Only issue i have is with the tiny breakfast area and the fact they only had 4 of the proposed 8 breakfast items available which kinda sucked

For the price we paid for a one night stay which included a full English breakfast the following morning, it was the perfect night, great facilities and staff present 24/7. We could come and go as much as we liked and with no curfew time, it gave me and my partner the freedom to explore our city during its later hours and make the most out of our experience, would highly recommend this to others and will definitely be back in the future
