If you are looking for expertise in covering things up then the Glasgow Nuffield is the place to be! Wish I had never set foot in the Glasgow Nuffield. Absolute shambles of a hospital. I had Ivf treatment here, they have since merged with another hospital. They failed to carry out compulsory blood tests at the start of my treatment. This resulted in complications and lasting emotional trauma which will last a lifetime for me. So, regardless of whether the fertility clinic is still here or not, I am still living with the consequences of their actions. They actually offered me counselling in the same building where I had my treatment! I don't think ANY of the staff that I dealt with actually have a conscience. The fertility staff may have moved to another building but I have had many dealings with the current director. I put in a complaint and never even got an explanation nor an apology. The director is rude and quite frankly does not care and lacks compassion. Let's hope you don't have to deal with her as you won't get anywhere. Took this hospital over 4 months to obtain my hospital file, which meant I had missed the date for taking this matter further. How convenient! Oh but the file was 'off site' was the excuse for that matter! Incompetence at it's best. Lie after lie after lie and they brush everything under the carpet. Disgusted with this hospital and the staff I had dealings with, wish I had never stepped foot in this hospital. I do not recommend this hospital. I hope the staff from the fertility clinic read this, I would just love to know how you live with your conscience? You disgust me. Do you have any care or remorse for what you done. DISGUSTING

Reception staff were perfectly friendly and COVID precautions were meticulous. However, I have paid Β£210 for an ENT consultation with John Marshall in *September 2021* with a view to having a simple, short and minor procedure that, from past experience would make an immense difference to my quality of life and allow me to do my job better. Mr Marshall told me nothing I didn't already know (as someone with long-term ear/hearing issues) and agreed that I needed the treatment. The next contact I had was from an admin staff member weeks later, checking I was all ready for my surgery in a few days – an appointment I had not been told about, on a day when I had a wedding to attend and so couldn't make. When I explained this, I was told that I had said I was "always available" – which isn't the case at all. And, given the need to isolate for days beforehand for COVID reasons, it seems bizarre that I was expected to drop everything at a moment's notice. It has since been utterly impossible to contact Mr Marshall's secretary, despite over a dozen attempts, to rearrange. It feels as though they're quite happy to take the Β£210 for a 5-minute consultation – and have decided to move on from me. Even hospital switchboard staff acknowledged that they had been unable to contact his secretary on my behalf. I even delayed payment of my initial bill in the hope that Mr Marshall's secretary would contact me, but to no avail. I saw similar reviews and thought that, with such a quick and simple procedure, this wouldn't be the case here - but I was wrong. I'd advise against using Nuffield.

I was in for a full knee replacement early January and I can honestly say the full experience was a pleasure. From the pre-op with Paul to the procedure with Dr Gupta and then the aftercare with the various nurses and staff and let's not forget the domestic team, Josephine and the girls . I was in on the Wednesday morning at around 8am and back up in my room eating a piece on ham before 11am.Dr Gupta is a genius and I would highly recommend him. Every person I dealt with throughout my stay were lovely, that lovely I didn't want to go home.. Since my operation I've had to attend the Nuffield for various follow ups and again everyone has been brilliant. Judith the physio is very attentive and a pleasure to deal with. If you are considering using the Nuffield I wouldn't hesitate.

Didn't actually manage to attend the hospital as they don't do the scan I had asked for - but I had asked this in my initial email before getting my GP to refer me so they were completely aware what I needed. I didn't hear anything from the Nuffield for 2-3 weeks after referral. Basically just a complete lack of communication and waste of my time when I am desperate to get help sooner rather than later. Now I have to start the process all over somewhere else.

Unprofessional. Twice they offered treatment which they don't do and 1/2 times they took hundreds of pounds and wasted 2 months of my time, then initially refused to refund the money. Last year they told me they were able to perform a procedure which they did not have a licence to do, they took money off me and I took time off work and lost money. it was extremely stressful and time consuming. I specifically went to one of their open nights and they confirmed yes they do this kind of procedure/treatment and gave me a price for it. so I went ahead and spent hundreds for no treatment to take place. they only offered appointment times during the day ( not after work). Consultants were either on holiday or fully booked. They told me downright lies at times ( don't want to go into details but they gave misleading information and wrong test results) they kept getting my name wrong got me mixed up with another patient and medical history had to be repeated SO many times. After spending hundreds of pounds they turned round and went oh, we can't legally do this treatment ( not just for me but for anyone) we don't hold a licence- oops. the manager of the department personally insulted me because of my age. So did the consultant. The consultant was very difficult to understand. she had a strong accent and purposely used medical terms for things I had not heard of without explaining what they meant, including abbreviations. its better to explain in layman's terms where possible- which she totally could have in this case. After writing to the CEO I got all of my money back and went elsewhere- but they wasted so much of my time. Like some other people have said, I got conflicting test results information and I had to chase them so many times to get results for tests i'd paid near to Β£200 for. I had to have the results repeated at a different hospital. I thought after this terrible experience that it was down to a few badly trained /misinformed people/ people in the wrong job. I went to a completely different department looking for a completely different treatment. They told me they could do it and gave me consultation prices ( but not the treatment prices like i'd asked for) then when I phoned to book an appointment the guy on reception says they don't offer the treatment at all and advises I go to a specific clinic ( which had bad reviews?) elsewhere.

The experience I had at Nuffield was so traumatic they cancelled my surgery 23 hrs before! I booked time off work so did my mum a receptionist called me and told me. I have a bleeding disorder and the hospital told me they had the facilities and it wouldn’t be an issue, then back tracked and said they could no longer proceed once the money had been paid and everything had been finalised. In my medical screening before the op the person in charge googled what my disorder was. Medical negligence from the staff and surgeons has now left me in a deep depression. I cannot stress enough how bad and unprofessional my experience was and would advise anyone to stay clear

I had a total hip replacement here on Wednesday 1sr September. The staff I touched from referral to procedure from X-ray/ scans, anaesthetics, recovery staff, ward staff and medics and physio team were first class. My surgeon Mr Ohly saw me pre and post op, then twice on my first day post surgery and once on my last day as an inpatient. The anaesthetist saw me several times too. The nurses and assistants were exceptional as was the physiotherapy team. I couldn’t be more happy with my care. The reason I only gave 4 stars was the food, it was awful so they need to work on that. Overcooked, under seasoned, unpalatable. Take a goody bag in with you as you still can’t have visitors. I look forward to my future treatment there once I’ve recovered from this. Thank you for taking such good care of me. All the best.

Went for physio and was told I'd be referred to a consultant and never heard a thing again. Physio was fine and reception staff were polite but, it hardly inspires confidence.

My mother was referred by her GP to a consultant oncologist here. We personally delivered her medical file to them, which they accepted. They claimed that they would send an appointment via my email - they didn't. Finally, after us chasing them up, they phoned my mother with an appointment date and time for an evening consultation with the oncologist, which was of some relief to her. Later that same morning, they called my mother again and completely backtracked on that appointment, giving the very vague and dubious excuse that the consultant was "not accepting new patients". Something they never indicated beforehand at any point. They then requested that we collect her medical file, and gave her the name of another specialist - in Edinburgh. My mother is very seriously ill. We were seeking a one-off consultation for a second opinion, in order to give her some hope and peace of mind. For Nuffield to have acted in such an offhand, dismissive and vague manner, palming her off to another specialist in Edinburgh to whom my mother is not fit enough to travel, is downright disgusting and appalling. I have had no prior experience with Nuffield, but on this basis alone, I do not recommend them.

My wife had and ankle op here and end to end it was a very good experience with a consultant that clearly knows what he's about. My wife's ankle is as strong now as it was before the injury that led to needing the op. Well done.

UPDATE: Nuffield responded to my complaint positively and i rescheduled my surgery with them. I have to say, start to finish they were fantastic. The clinical team were brilliant; the front desk staff down to earth and welcoming. I would use them again without hesitation.. Upgraded from one star to five :-) My nurse was particularly fantastic, but they were all great. ----------------------------------- Do yourself a favour and the evening prior to surgery, call them and ask if they have sufficient staff. I was booked in, met with consultant, anaesthetist, nurse and getting ready to go.. then around 2 hours later i was told that my surgery had been cancelled and it was down to an absence they knew about THE NIGHT BEFORE. I was asked to leave the hospital and await a new date. no apology forthcoming whatsoever. Really poor, considering i was paying THOUSANDS as an alternative to waiting in an NHS queue. If you're in Greater Glasgow, you'd be better going with Ross Hall.

Incredibly fast and responsive service with polite knowledgeable staff. What I particularly liked was that everyone from the receptionist through to the maintenance staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. That may not sound like much but when you are particularly stressed a little customer service can go a long way

Had a procedure done with Arup Ray, He was such a nice person and did a great job. All the staff were so lovely - reception staff, nurses and the dinner lady. The food was also brilliant. I'd never had an operation before but everyone at Nuffield were amazing. I'd previously paid for a consultation at spire Edinburgh but had the opposite experience to what I had with the Nuffield- wish I had come straight to the Nuffield to begin with. Very clean place also every appointment was on time and I was never kept waiting. Thank you to everyone!

Fantastic. 2 days from my Hernia repair and there is zero bruising and swelling; which is a sharp contrast to my other Hernia repair in '17 on the *** which resulted in a haematoma and extensive bruising.

Check your bank statements!! I booked an apt on the 10th April 2019 for the 19th and had to cancel it with 48 hours of booking it and I have been charged Β£200 for it! Will be taking it up with the Business Office in the morning.

All the nursing staff, theater, staff and catering staff were absolutely fantastic, I was made to feel like a VIP from the moment I checked in at reception to the day of discharge. My Surgeon Mr Simon Gibson should get a special mention here as he did a brilliant job and I felt totally safe and secure in letting him perform my procedure. Would definitely recommend Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital.

I am currently 2 weeks post op from Lumbar surgery and can only say my treatment at the Nuffield Glasgow was first class and continues to be. All the staff were fantastic and my Consultant Mister Deans I would recommend to anybody. They have all been extremely helpful during the whole process to date and I cannot fault the service at all. Nothing is to much trouble for them. One of my treats was the lady who dealt with the meals etc Ann Robertson she would bring a smile to anybodies face no matter how much pain you are in. So in conclusion if you are looking for treatment I would highly recommend this facility.

I have just had my second and final procedure at Nuffield Health, and I cannot praise highly enough the service I received, from reception to the nursing staff. I would particularly like to single out my surgeon Dr.Paul Cauchi who from my consultation to both operations put me completely at ease, and thanks to his skill l now have perfect vision. I would have no hesitation in recommending this totally professional establishment to anyone. Thank you.

😠 Experience was ok, doctor carrying out my procedure barely said 2 words to me from when op started to leaving the clinic. After care is shocking, emailing multiple times without response and waiting days for a reply to then message them back straight away and have to wait days again for next reply....
