Awful... Worst experience ever... Gave 1 cause can't give 0. My 9 month old daughter had viral fever for 3 days and dehydrated and was crying inconsolably and we took her to this hospital A&E. Waited for 2 hours and no sign of the doctor... My daughter was crying inconsolably but no movement from the staff/doctor as the hospital was crazy busy... Feel sorry for children, parents and staff. I wish someone who is accountable can look into the situation. Staff nurse was nice n helpful but couldn't guarantee when doctor will be available. So had to leave the hospital without getting treatment as we lost hope and we had to calm our baby. And these waiting times are not new to this hospital. Regardless of the situations, it's embarrassing to keep infants and babies waiting for that long. Shame shame shame.

This hospital is rubbish, wait time is crazy, went to the hospital with my baby girl had to wait for 3 hours and when I asked the nurse on how it will take she said the doc is attending other patients and can't guarantee how long. The problem here is it's an A&E hospital and still we have to wait for long hours like honestly, and my problem is not that they didn't see my daughter there were soooo many other patients as well who's was waiting, who were very sick, my problem is that they could have told me "maybe your case is not an emergency can you come after 2-3 hours or if they felt it's an emergency they could have seen immediately". What if me or anyone else came unprepared for two hours with a baby. There is no parking space. If you don't want to wait for 2-3 hours please phone nhs 24 or the GP they are much better.

This is one of the biggest hospital for children in Scotland. This is in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. There is enough parking spaces for this and also good connection from public transport. Easy to reach from GLASGOW city center by bus like stagecoach x19, mcgill 23 etc.

Having a couple boys that play football, we are unfortunately an all too familiar visitors to the hospital....waiting times, obviously can be long at times , depending on the nature of injury but the service, dedication and attitude of the staff throughout the hospital from porters to surgeons is absolutely fantastic...myself and my family are always grateful for all the care and help we've had anytime we have been in.

Awful experience, the hospital is clearly under staffed especially at A&E. I took my 10 month old child up with suspected strep A, scarlet fever he had an extremely high temp. We waited for 9 hours before leaving without seeing a doctor. Unlike other hospitals it has no vending machines for food or water in the waiting room. It has no facilities what so ever for bottle making even though its a children's hospital and they have babies waiting for over 9 hours. I luckily got a seat the corridors were lined with parents and sick babies sitting on the floor. The full time I was there I was sitting on a seat with sick under it. (One of many) not once did anyone attend and clean the area to control infection I also spent all night next to a child who was confirmed strep A and staff deemed it appropriate and safe to have confirmed case in the waiting area surrounded by sick babies. I also witnessed a young girl being sick and coughing up blood after having a diabetic hypo because she was unable to keep any food water down, again no medical staff present and checking on patients while we waited for hours. We had to hunt for assistance and the nurse who attended brought paper towels to clean up blood, I requested once the child had been attended to that maybe someone should clean area with medical cleaner as it was blood. (this never happened). When speaking to staff we were told what do you expect its A&E you should expect to wait 9 hours to be seen. Not to mention the complete waste of medical staff by having not one but two medical staff on the entrance door to prevent partners from attending the waiting room area. Surely there is better things these staff members could be doing like taking obs of patients waiting over 4 hours incase vitals have changed in the time since they were processed.

Stunning hospital! Massive!!, deals with every ailment! Parking is a nightmare, if possible best to go by bus. Although there's a carpark you pay for not far from the hospital.

My daughter needed a kidney transplant and I was a excellent match, the past 6 months have been an emotional roller-coaster. But EVERY member of staff that has worked with us during that time has been amazing. Words cannot express my gratitude to everyone,so caring and supportive and professional.

My daughter has had the best care here. From neurosurgeons, doctors and nurses they are all amazing. They are experts in what they do. The thought that has been put into the design of this hospital is world class every thing has been designed with a child in mind.

Great staff and loved the architecture, setup ,cleanliness and overall thoughts behind it all. The interactive displays and areas were great for bored kids and was fairly easy to navigate and move around with the colour schemes. As with a lot of public buildings ,parking is a big issue as its a struggle to find any parking spots. Lots of abandoned cars with tickets on them so i would leave at least 20 to 30mins for parking and walking if going here.

Our young son of 22 months, recently had an operation at the Queen Elizabeth. Words cannot express how grateful we are to the wonderful staff of this hospital. From the reception staff, support workers and theatre staff, you all truly went above and beyond the duty of care and we are eternally thankful for you all! 😁 A very special thank you to the amazingly skilled surgeon Mahmoud Marei. What an incredibly job you did. Meticulously carried out and we really felt you cared for our son with all your heart. To the urology nurses- Mark and team and Arwen and all the after care staff, thank you so much for all that you did to make our son feel comfortable. Dr Alana Kirkwood and the anaesthetics team a huge thank you for taking care of our son so safely at what was a really anxious time for us. Thank you NHS for all that you do, we are so incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic facility in Glasgow with such attentive and caring people who work there. You are all such a credit to your profession and we will be forever grateful πŸ₯°

My son was admitted yesterday as he had high blood sugars last week. From the second I arrived there with him, to the second we left this morning, the whole experience was perfect. It’s clean, nurses and doctors and just brilliant and I feel really happy that he was there as I know he had the best treatment. Getting a cannula into the back of a 6 year olds had isn’t an easy task I’m sure but the 2 doctors and 2 nurses that did it were just great. Thank you so much guys ❀️

Took my daughter to children's a&e on advice of out of hours at the New Victoria at around 11.45pm. From the moment we went through the doors the staff were great, got a chair for my daughter as she could barely walk she was in so much pain. Waited I'm waiting area for around 15 mins then got taken through to be processed. They gave my daughter apple juice and and ice lolly to get her energy levels back up. Once processed we waited about 20 minutes and taken through to the majors department. All the nurses and doctors were nice that attended her. They suspected appendicitis and told me they would get her admitted to a ward and a surgeon would come talk to me about surgery to remove her appendix. We were admitted to ward 3b around 3.30am. James attended to my daughter and got her settled in. All the nurses, surgeons were great with my daughter who wasn't too good and in alot of pain. The surgeons kept us updated on what was going to happen. Her surgery got cancelled for the Saturday as there was alot of emergencies. She finally got her surgery on the Sunday night which had alot of complications. Once the surgeon had finished her surgery he came up to the ward to update us on how our daughter surgery had went and explained the complications there was. She was in hospital for another 5 days after her surgery to recover. All the nurses caring for her were lovely and surprised how well my daughter coped. My daughter had her favourite nurses who were the 2 Megan's and James. All the staff were lovely and caring.

Beyond Reproach! The care, expertise and treatment shown to sick children in this hospital is faultless. The dedication and applied knowledge of staff is excellent, and their skills are life-saving. Parents and carers are never made to feel that they are in the way, the environment is comforting and safe for children. A great example of NHS care being not equal, but better than any that money can buy.

Took my child to day surgery unit, all of the staff were fantastic from the arrival through to recovery. The facilities available for the kids waiting are brilliant, they have a big TV for movies, a large playroom and games consoles available. The playroom also had a child playleader who attended for a few hours to play games and do activities with the kids. The whole place is directed towards making children feel at ease while they are waiting. Can't rate high enough

My son was admitted through a&e all nurses and drs were great as were the paramedics that took us. the hospital is spotless and smells nice also its very well lit even late at night unlike some other city hospitals. Only down side is tryin to get something for a toddler to eat there is an array of food shops all selling really nice food for adults but most 2 year olds wont want rocket on a sandwich or chilli in a soup.

Bad attention When my daughter was a month old, we took her to the tongue tie clinic at children hospital (clinic 12), they was snip bad the tongue tie (they only cut the part that was seen). We have been trying for four months to return to the clinic for they check my baby again,I called many times and they never take my call and when they take my call I talked with the manager and I told her my problem, she said that she calls me again and never called me again. Because of their negligence and their bad work, I had to carry out my daughter to a private practitioner (in Manchester) and she check my baby and snip her tongue tie again. According to the hospital, my daughter did not have anything and she had a posterior tongue tie that caused feeding problems and bad gaining weight
