Can't get an appointment online or over the phone. Have had issues with getting in touch to speak to someone and don't have all day to sit and make multiple phone calls when they cut you off. Have been trying periodically for 2 years now to get an appointment for implant removal and insertion with no luck. Own GP have tried to make a referral but received a letter within 10 days to state that procedure is standard and they are not accepting referral. Have considered moving GP as my own GP does not offer service but alot of GP's are not accepting new patients now. Implant is now well overdue and I there's no help available!

I have used 3 services with them and have had such a wide experience. The first service I'm still waiting on 4 years later despite being told it would be 1 is surprise surprise the adult gender identity clinic. Between the phones only being open a couple hours a day and the emails taking months for a response it's impossible to get anywhere. I know people have had access to the service in a matter of months and others like myself waiting years, why aren't we taken in order? The second unfortunately was the abortion service, the lady I spoke to was lovely she changed my name used the correct pronouns etc despite what it was the experience surrounding it was amazing, calls were easier to take, I felt listened to. The third was going in for an implant, I had to wait over an hour while People who came in after I did got seen and sent home, was dead named as the note of my name was gone however had a laugh with the lady doing it who put me at ease. Sandyford is a hit or a miss if you use them, good luck.

Absolute joke of a place! Shut down a lot of clinics over the pandemic and still haven’t opened them meaning people have to travel miles to the nearest city! On top of that the appointment system is a disaster! 90% of the time it just doesn’t work and kicks u back to the start over and over then on rare occasion it does work never any appts! My daughter was due her implant out during lockdown and only now has FINALLY got an appt almost 2 YEARS after it should’ve been removed! No wonder there’s so many teens & 20s pregnant or catching std etc when the clinic to help them is at least a train & 2 buses away costing a fortune but even if they can somehow get there they’ve more chance of a lottery win than getting an appointment!

Pre-pandemic it was easy enough to get a walk in appointment. After phoning and being consistently told to book online the website wasn’t useful at all. There was no obvious tab for making appointments and when I finally found it and out my details in it told me I couldn’t make one because I wasn’t part of greater glasgow. After waiting on the phone for 40 mins I was told that there was only one option for today which was too far from where I live and to otherwise book online to which I told her my problem and she told me to phone again later. What kind of system is it if you can’t even book easily in advance? Needs serious improvement.

Called Sandyford Sexual Health service with a friend who's IUD has dislodged (assumed). She was experiencing heavy bleeding, intense cramping and shaking and was unable to walk. We had talked to her GP who said it was just anxiety that would pass and as they weren't removing contraception (unless emergent) couldn't help her. Sandyford were extremely helpful and nonjudgmental and were able to book her an appointment for tomorrow morning to remove the coil. We spent close to an hour on the phone with other health services who were unable to help and Sandyford was able to organise a solution within 15 minutes on the phone.

Impossible to book any appointment. I’m told to try again later. and again, and again. How does it happen that I’m unable to book something in advance? Even 6 months in advance will be fine. Instead of having, we (the users) are condemned to use their 90’s horrendous website or wait for 30 minutes on the phone again and again, all of that to be told to try again later - and meanwhile taking more risks that we should! Already one week that each day, I’m trying to take an appointment, and counting…

Called with worrying symptoms and was completely disregarded being told in so many words that I am wrong and that my case is basically unimportant. Left the phone call still very worried about my health and now crying from having yet another person in medicine disregard my health concerns as a woman! A classic and the reason why I always hope nothing will go wrong with my reproductive system as I have had enough with dealing with these people. Also told me to go online to book an appointment when she knows well you can't book what I need online you can only call for it.

Went today for a coil removal, and insertion. Lesley is a wizard! I was in and out, with no pain at all. Jenn was also lovely, and very helpful. An enjoyable experience😃

Fantastic service at sandyford glasgow Sauchiehall Street . Previously I went to sandyford in Clydebank for a coil removal the nurse could find itAnd was told it could take up to 6 months to get a referral to see a gynaecologist . I contacted sandyford Sauchiehall street , Bernadette offered me an appointment on the same day , she was very kind , the doctor and nurses were fantastic and the coil was removed .

Whenever I've visited the staff have been lovely and helpful. The waiting area is big with vending machines, and the receptionists deal with everyone very calmly. Yeah, sometimes there's a wee bit of a wait, but have none of you been to a hospital before? Nothing more than standard really from my several visits.

Can't book appointmnet online for coil removal only. Tried to phone for appointment but was waiting for an answer for almost 45 minutes. Finally when someone answered, the line got disconnected! NHS needs to improve its services.

Vasectomy : late appointment ( 17.30 ) arrived early parking was right in front of the entrance paid parking till 6 so only cost me 5£ I was absolutely dreadful having to go in … being 45 mins early surely didn’t help my stress build up, once in Dr. Scott was amazing very calming and put things in perspective .. the injection was the one thing I dreaded the most but that turned out the be so much less painful then I had build up 50 mins before .. Procedure went quick .. had a general chat while procedure was done .. felt nothing.. and would hope this helps to future vasectomy candidates to feel relaxed about going to get this done .. Dr Scott I can’t thank you enough.. ( including assistent !!!! Who’s name i unfortunately never remembered ) The negative comments about reception or bad telephone service I personally cant agree with .. I was on the waiting list a very long time .. ( backlog COVID ) but the process was fairly straightforward 1.apply for procedure 2. Fill in the paperwork 3.they contact you to have a phone intake and explanation 4. You agree to go ahead or not 5. Wait for a phone call to get appointment booked in 6. Final call to confirm you actual booking / appointment . 7. Show up on time and be done with it …

Absolutely amazing experience at sandyford ! I was seen by Hanhah Al-Muftie and Janeane Simpson for a severe pain that I was experiencing, they where so lovely and caring and where very prompt in helping me. Because of their efficiency and help I was admitted to hospital right away! I couldn’t recommend Sandyford enough ! Will definitely come here again !

Always get told different information from different staff members. I’ve been waiting 1 hour and everyone that was here after me has been seen before me.

IMPOSSIBLE TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS ONLINE, waiting time on a call is endless. Why the online booking is so useless and they constantly repeat to book online?
