I would give 0 stars if possible. All they want is money and you can sense it right from the get go. I filled in their inquiry form on their webstie and with 2 minutes I recieved a call back to book an appointment and the woman on the phone tried to book me in the same day. She tried quite hard to pressure me into making the appointment but I said I was unsure and asked her to walk me through the pricing. I had already seen a GP so I knew what treatment I needed and she quoted me £100 for the first appointment and then £159-£189 for treatment. I weighed it up and thought it was worth it. At the appointment I felt that the specialist was very impersonal and at the end of it they said that the treatment would cost upwards of £500. That was way to much and I was shocked considering I only made the initial appointment because it was within my price range. Now I would have to pay £100 but not recieve further treatment as it cost so much more than I expected. Feeling very conned and would recommend anyone with hesitations or tight funds to stay very clear of this clinic and their practises.

Would be 0 stars if possible! Please don't make the same mistake as I did and book an appointment before reading the reviews! They just want your money! Absolutely disgusted with this company! I strongly advise to avoid this place at any cost.

I would give 0 stars if I could - avoid at all costs. I even raised a complaint but have heard nothing back so feel I have to submit this review. I had developed a rash on my face since January 2022 and thought it best to go private and pay rather than be placed on a long waiting queue and see my GP. I spent £150 to see a ‘highly qualified’ dermatologist at this Glasgow clinic. She was 20 minutes late. No problem, I thought, I’ll let that go if the appointment will be of use and help me. But what followed was something like this: ‘that rash doesn’t look like it will go away’, ‘why did you go for that facial?’, ‘your beautician should not have given you that facial’, ‘I need to know the ingredients of the facial you had before I can help’. And she was under the impression I had a chemical peel when I NEVER once said I had a chemical peel, just a routine facial that I’ve had for years with no issues. So, rather than help me fix my problem she was more interested in placing blame. No empathy, no understanding, no listening. She was adamant it was a hyperpigmentation problem. I left the clinic with my confidence even lower than before I entered the clinic, thinking I was scarred forever. I then went back to my free of cost GP who has diagnosed a skin infection and given me medication . My skin is now healing and getting much much better. So, it was not simply a case of ‘hyperpigmentation’. Moral of the story: private is not always best, they just want your want your money. Save £150 and go see your GP instead. And if you really want to go private, get a recommendation first via your GP. Sad thing is I was actually looking forward to this appointment with Skin Clinic, thinking ‘it’s private, I’m paying a lot of money, what can go wrong?’ How naive of me. Never again.

30 mins late in taking me for an appointment with no apology. The person I saw never even introduced herself. A full price for the service was not given upfront and I was charged for a consultation that lasted less than 2 mins. Overall not a great experience.

Really bad service. My laser treatment was cancelled 3 times at short notice due to the machine breaking down. The third time I had waited 2 months and yet again got a phone call the day before saying sorry the laser machine had broken down. I asked for a manager to call me back to discuss. A week later still no phone call. I’ve spent a lot of money in this clinic and have no resolution. Can’t get through on the phone either. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

Completed a block of 8 tattoo removal sessions, Last session was in June. The staff were all lovely, However the results have been incredibly poor. After 8 sessions (9 if you include the test session) I've been lucky to have a reduction of about 40-50%. I would expect this level of result with older lasers, not with the Pico that is described as the gold standard laser for removing tattoos. 2 small black tattoos on pale skin are also apparently the best responders, not my experience. I was told the settings would be low to start with and built up to using their full power. After enquiring at my last session how many sessions had been carried out on full power settings as the results so far had been poor, the therapist told me she wasn't sure as the notes didn't say, but she would definitely be using full power for the last session. The last session did feel more painful and I had some swelling, which I expected. I had a slightly better improvement several weeks later. I attended another clinic in the City for a laser facial and was speaking to the therapist about tattoo removal. She mentioned that she had also attended SKN for removal, but after 4 sessions and seeing zero results she didn't attend any others. She suspected that the settings were far too low as she also had no response or side effects, which she would expect with a powerful laser and being a laser therapist herself. So I'm now about £700 down for removal of 2 small tattoos, but not even half way to removal. I would have expected this cost and time commitment with older lasers.

Had an appt here to get my eye looked at but the doctor couldn't treat me as it wasn't her field of expertise. I feel it is way overpriced just to sit for 5 minutes in an office costs 165 pounds and for people who don't have a lot of money this is a tough one especially if the nhs can't treat you either. Despite that the reception staff were friendly but based on the prices don't know if i would return.

Very disappointing experience with Sk:n, especially after being a loyal client for many years. I bought a laser hair removal package last summer, and went in for the first session of the package. I've had laser hair removal done many times before and the previous two times I had experienced skin burning. This time I also experienced skin burning and in addition developed a serious multi-drug resistant UTI, which a few doctors have mentioned, may have been from the treatment as it's resistant to antibiotics I've never taken before. I've been asking for a refund for the past 3 months and so far received nothing. Cannot believe this is how they treat loyal customers and will need to take action if I don't receive my refund soon. There's been a lot of staff changes and I feel standards have fallen as a result. They also need to get their laser checked if it's causing burns.

polite on phone call to book appointment and reception staff nice on arrival. A little disappointed that I had to wait 15 minutes past my appointment time that meant I will need to return for a second visit to have a small skin tag removed that might have been possible on the day if I had been taken on time. Overall a good experience so far and fingers crossed for a trouble free 2nd visit for procedure.

I have been going to the Sk:n Clinic in Glasgow for nearly 10+ years now. I have/had a lot of tattoos I wanted removed and the staff at Sk:n Clinic were highly qualified and the machinery they use is the most up-to-date advanced technology. The comfort in knowing I was being looked after by educated healthcare providers who were using the best equipment on the market is the reason why I have been going there for the last 10 years. Adding to this, is the friendliness and care I have received during my time in the clinic. 3 staff members in particular are Lisa, Angela and Emma. They have been incredibly helpful, caring and kind. All 3 have always went above and beyond for me. For this, I would recommend Sk:n Clinic Glasgow.

The service at the Glasgow Gordon Street clinic is always superb! I've had 7 of my 8 laser sessions and I'm in love with the results, the ladies who work here are outstanding, they couldn't be more helpful. They explain your treatment very clearly and make you feel so comfortable.

They cancelled my consultations twice very short notice, once in newcastle once in Glasgow. The nurse i got to see was snarky had a very sarcastic look and expression on her face. Refused to prescribe me retinoids which was the main reason for consultation, which i explained on phone. Tried to sell me some expensive cosmetics, no explanation in how they are superior to the one i used then. Got retinoid prescription from GP and happy with it. Just sort of bad experience witj staff attitide wise and clinical knowledge wise

Very nice friendly proffessional ladies, I am on a journey of ridding my tattoos, very honest too, no false sells of looking as if I'd never had one [ which is understandable as it has many colours in it ] Really make you feel relaxed and very understanding,

Shambolic from start to finish. Centralised phone system operating from Birmingham, so average waiting time to speak to someone in Glasgow branch (that’s if you get through) is well in excess of half an hour. I have seen 2 different skin specialists , one from Edinburgh and one from Glasgow… because they only use paper files for every appointment you have with the company, none of the skin specialists seemed to know when my last appointment was and what stage of progress I was at. Considering the amount of money I spent with them, customer service and processes are archaic and so poor. Go elsewhere!

Emma was very friendly and understanding. She took the time to go through any questions I had. I left with a clear plan. Have never felt so relaxed leaving a consultation. There was no judgement, just good sound advice given, with clear instructions for follow through.

I was in today for my second session and my treatment was terrible the girl didn’t prep my skin before lasering then was lasering bits that didn’t need done and not doing bits that did need done then afterwards she squirted suntan lotion on my hand and told me to put it on. Completely different experience from my first visit. I’m so disappointed as it is a lot of money and especially when it is my face I would hope for more precision and care.

Excellent but it's almost impossible to get through on the phone! Website is no help in trying to change an appt. Also... you can be a minute late and there is a possibility of your air being cancelled.... but if they are even 15 mins late taking you in... we have to accept it. Why?

I have always had an excellent service at SKN clinic Glasgow. Jade always puts me at ease ( not an easy task) and explains everything clearly. The receptionist also is really welcoming and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

My experience at Sk:n Glasgow has been absolutely lovely. I had treatment over a course of months and every appointment was done with care, professionalism and kindness. If any appointments needed to be moved the staff were helpful and gracious. Genuinely brilliant service.

Outstanding dermatology clinic with a top-notch team—friendly, professional, and exceptionally skilled. While prices may lean toward the higher side, the quality of their extensive services justifies the cost. High standards in care make it worth every penny for those seeking premium dermatological treatments.

I have had a fantastic experience with laser hair removal at the Gordon Street branch of SK:N Clinics. The results were better than I could have expected. I wish I had done this years ago. Chloe was always so welcoming and friendly. She made me comfortable and was very reassuring about all my embarrassment with my skin. I can't recommend the experience and Chloe's service highly enough!!!

I’ve just had my third Co2 laser resurfacing treatment at the Glasgow clinic. I was made to feel at ease had every question answered thoroughly. Due back for my review as I’m still healing but confident I am in safe hands.

I am generally pleased with the service provided and definitely felt that everyone tried their best. I came for a mole removal excision on my face however on the day the surgeon was saying it would be a laser removal which is not what was agreed and not what I was expecting - it ended up being an excision after I spoke up. The experience during surgery was generally good (amazing care from the assisting staff) however the surgeon was being a bit rough when injecting local anaesthetic and removing a bib that was stuck by an adhesive to my neck - nothing major. I was given very small dressing and tape to put over the stitches until the removal next week - I was supposed to cut it up into smaller pieces which meant the dressing would no longer be sterile and possibly increased the risk of infection - I got myself a box of sterile dressings from pharmacy at my own cost for my own peace of mind. When I came for my stitches removal I had to wait for over 1.5 hours to be seen from the time of my original appointment time. Throughout this time the reception staff was very reassuring and keeping me generally informed however I was under the impression the communication from the surgeon was very limited and they themselves didn’t know how long the wait was going to be. The procedure itself went well and I am pleased with results - most of these small complaints have to do with the individual surgeon who performed my procedure and not the practice in general and even those are relatively minor but I can see how somebody with lower pain tolerance and patience would have reacted differently and kicked up a fuss especially about the wait which again reception staff did everything to keep me informed about to the best of their knowledge.

I had 8 sessions of laser hair removal since last February. I am very disappointed to say that it has been the biggest waste of time and money. I still have a lot of body hair in all areas. My legs were the only area which I was out of sync with and yet I still have a large portion of hair growth under my arms and bikini area. For almost £2000 and almost a years worth of appointments I'd expect a lot better! The machines flagged up faults every time I was in. Poor quality altogether. Disappointed.

I wish I had read more of the reviews about the dermatologist specifically and I would have saved myself a lot of money! She was rude, over 30minutes late with no apology (a running theme if you read others reviews) she was dismissive and rather than try to help she told me that some people just had bad skin. £165 for that! She made me feel like there was no hope for my skin and I felt really awful upon leaving. DONT go here, it was a really awful experience and I'm surprised there aren't more poor reviews given what I went through and reading others having very similar experiences.

I had a small mole removed from my nose. The doctor and technicians were really professional. They explained the aftercare process clearly, and gave a range of treatment options for me to choose from. In the end I had the mole removed by laser. I had a follow up appointment to check that it was healing properly. The procedure was a success.

I had 4 moles removed by Dr Thomson. I was talked through my procedure and told everything that was going on, step by step. I was made feel at ease and had a good experience at Sk:n and would highly recommend this clinic.

Botox. Professional, polite reception staff. Sharon was really friendly, definitely knew what she was talking about and carried out the treatment with as much care as possible. She is a 5/5 but due to the fact that the cost is high compared with competitors I have rated it a 4/5.

I have been attending skin clinics in Glasgow for several months for laser hair removal. Chloe answered all my queries at my initial consultation and made me feel completely at ease. I then booked to have a course of 8 treatments, Chloe has carried out my appointments which makes the appointment more comfortable. Results are fantastic so far 😊

I came in for a chemical peel at the Gordon street Skn Clinic. I was made very comfortable, I was told everything about the procedure and the nurse carrying out my treatment was very knowledgable and answered any questions I had. Looking forward to booking in my next treatment.

The woman dealing with me, I think her name was Malina, was just so lovely and friendly. She was extremely helpful going over the pricing for me for further treatments if I wanted them too. And getting me booked in for patch testing for my holiday. The clinic is always nice and clean too whenever I visit. I really don't have any faults whenever I visit.

Visited Sk:n clinic in Gordon St glasgow a few years ago. I had requested to see a dermatologist to discuss my skin. When I got to the appointment it was a skin therapist I saw not a nurse or a doctor. I was pressured into signing up for a series of glycolic acid peels. The first couple were OK, not effective but not damaging but on the third the therapist burnt my face. I could see the look of horror on her face, the scarring took an age to fade. Never saw that therapist again after that, no apology or anything. In addition to this the peels were not helping with the skin problems I had come in with. After I raised this concern the therapist did some ultrasound extractions and told me this would not cost extra. After this I had one more peel. After my treatment Sk:n hounded me for extra money for the ultrasound which I had instead of one of the peels and I was told was included in the price. I was young at the time and frightened by the staff so ended up paying. My skin was no better by the end of my treatment, it was worse due to scaring. I couldn't recommend this company to anyone and judging by the reviews here they haven't improved. The whole experience was rushed and money grabbing and I felt my needs and concerns were not considered. Should be a minus star review.
